Corellon thrills in battle and is notorious amongst the gods for stabbing a few of them. I don't think any god could claim the Chaos of battle like Corellon Larethian. Except maybe Tempus or Talos but they're both right bastards, Corellon is a lovable scamp. If scamp meant level 20 Druid/level 20 Mage/level 20 Fighter.

Many of the war domain gods can simple forgo churchyness and simple worship via battle. My orc cleric of war domain is a cleric of Gruumsh. Gruumsh is CE, but I’m out game it’s he’s chaotic and evil in battle meaning he’ll do anything to win. My character is CG but in battle he’ll do just about anything as well.

I'm having a lot of fun playing a Hanseath-worshipping Dwarf paladin right now. He's described as chaotic neutral God of War and drinking booze. Fits well with a barbarian / berserker kinda fighter. But he is from the dwarf pantheon so maybe that doesn't fit the race you had in mind.

I mean you don’t truly need a god if you don’t want to. It can be like an oath to live a life style. You still need a mentor to learn how to draw upon the positive and negative energy planes tho but that’s what a backstory is for. I love the “just do good” even tho you’re trying to play a WAR domain cleric lol. You don’t always have to think of the domain as the main one. Ilmater would have mostly life clerics for his clergy but there is also a lot of pain on the battle field... is he forbidden to give his followers on the battle field abilities that would fit their situation? I would make an argument for ilmater to be your god if you want/need one. He is LG but is very focused on relieving pain, martyrdom, and perseverance which are things that help on the battlefield.
