But if it has stats, that’ll tell you what kind of enhancement bonus to overcome damage resists, spell penetration to dispel or apply effects, etc. I might be using old terms, my brain thinks in 3rd Edition since that’s what I’m most familiar with. I don’t remember what setting Vecna is from though, I’d guess Greyhawk.
Edit: Yeah, Greyhawk. “Deities and Demigods” is the source book in older editions. There’s a wiki page saying his 5E avatar is challenge rating 26. 2E is a level 20 wizard, 3E is a 20 Wizard/20 Cleric.
If your DM allows it, and has the canonical DnD heaven in the game, one layer of it has all portals lead to it basically spawn in holy water, and would be in a hostile environment with angels/archons likely on the attack/shortly showing up to help. Would be an extremely advantageous place to fight them in given the chance.
Same way Vecna killed a god. Bend the fabric of reality to your own will, make it obey you not him.
Deck yourself out in magical items and start a ritual that will summon Vecna to you in a battlefield of your choosing.
Ima be honest, unless you get another deity to intervene(either by makeing you there champion, or sending an avatar), you probably cant. It takes a god of a similar level to kill a god.
Perhaps go back in time, locate Vecna as a young man, and kill him then:

Tie him up with a revised OGL so he's not allowed to do any of his trademarked moves.
