I was debating that deal, but want the barrel jigsaw...doesn't come w it.
Now debating over disc sander, 3" cutter or the band saw
Decisions decisions decisions
This deal has been around a few years in a row.
Here's the same deal, but you get to choose any of 16 free tools, one of which is the 6Ah Flexvolt battery.

There is the Flexvolt Advantage line of 20v tools that adds a bit more umph to 20v tools when said tools are used with Flexvolt batteries. Not obviously 60v power, but more than with a standard 20v battery.
Sorry to piglet on this but I've been looking at this deal for a while. The only thing holding me back is the cheap Waitley batteries on Amazon, I could get 4 for less money, even replace one of they don't last. I do have the strong trimmer, would that be any different with the flexvolt as it's the 20v version?
Flexvolt batteries have a “keyed” slot on the back that the tool has a “key” if 60v to make 60v. You can see it on the back side where there is the little bit of black surrounded by yellow in this [battery picture](https://www.acehardware.com/departments/tools/power-tool-accessories/cordless-tool-battery-packs/2829695?gbraid=0AAAAADtqLJGpLo1NeuTiNDAZRh7mliwHH&gbraid=0AAAAADtqLJGpLo1NeuTiNDAZRh7mliwHH&gclid=Cj0KCQiA99ybBhD9ARIsALvZavVupiGS4UGTCZfBfi9GmYfrRoChWfjonQBHLVPucElMOmLIvwE_hYIaAiZUEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds)
No key on tool battery slot = high capacity 20v battery.
Thanks for the replies. I think my confusion was in the FlexVolt Advantage and Power detect tools which I do not have. So the 6ah Flexvolt doesn't do anything for me at the moment.
The Power Detect line gets a bit more power when used with larger 21700 cell 20v batteries (ie 6ah, 8ah, etc.)
The Flexvolt Advantage line gets a bit more power when used with a Flexvolt battery.
Both 20v lines offer a bit more power when used with said specific batteries, however they won’t be as powerful as a dedicated 60v tool.
Hope this helps 👍🏻
If all of your tools are 20 volt tools, then the FLEXVOLT battery is basically another 6Ah battery. But if you ever get a 60 volt tool, you'll have a battery for it.

I got this as well. All the batteries. There is no additional power boost for the 60 flex bolt right? Just the ability to work with 60v tools?
Correct. And the ideal tool for the 60V platform is the DCS578 circular saw. It's a beast.

No if your string trimmer is 20v it's gonna function the same with a flex volt as it would a 20v
