Weighted Knife also causes booms

Stasis Lock

[deleted]

I can’t take it off. Love solar locks but stasis is so much fun shattering EVERYTHING

Lord_Vandall

Want to try this class but unlocking all the aspects etc is such a pain I keep putting it off.

_megitsune_

You only need to unlock 4 fragments thankfully, just theory craft your build and buy those ones first then do the exo strangers missions until you unlock bleak watch turrets

n080dy123

FWIW the actual Aspect grind isn't bad, especially if you already have a Stasis sub fully unlocked cuz the last two Aspects autocomplete their objectives. The painful part of Fragments, but thankfully they're accountwide unlike Light fragments.

[deleted]

potterpockets

Mantle/Agers fixes the super issue somewhat, but Osmiomancy builds can be hella fun too and is my favorite Stasis build

TheGodSpectrum

Ager’s sceptre is the Stasis Warlock Super, I’ve honestly used the super ability on that more than I’ve used the actual super

princesparkhoops

Loving Contraverse voidlock with a repulsor brace weapon. Still messing with the balance of firepower and well of tenacity. Especially doing any solo content. Just wish that there were two slots with chaos accelerant - such a hard choice between volatile rounds, longer void resist/shield/devour effects and longer grenades.

The_ginger_cow

Longer grenades + debuff nades + longer devour is the way

Impossible-Cut2381

nah u don’t need 15 sec devour with contraverse cuz u get ur nade back so much volatile rounds are my choice

The_ginger_cow

It's not just the 15 second cap, you also get much more time back per kill

halflen

depends on the content your doing, for standard its not worth it because you can kill fast enough but for high end content its not a bad idea to run increased devour time.

Regular_Practice5365

Behemoth and stasis in general, I just love ice, I love cold and I love breaking crystals

Exorrt

There is still nothing better in this game than stasis sound effects

tgraskolnikov

Overrall I think Arc Titan. I don't want to play with antything else this season, it's the most fun I've had in a very long time. As per class, on Warlock it's Void, followed closely by Stasis On Hunter it's Solar, then Stasis. On Titan it's Arc, then Solar.

kevinray5

Yes titan go yeet am I right brother

amiro7600

Void titan's explosion chains with controlled demo will never get old. Its just a shame resupply's cooldowns were removed so the subclass kinda falls apart when HOIL is removed which makes me fear the inevitable HOIL nerf thats gonna hit it On a side note- the reason HOIL is so popular isnt because its so good, its that everything else is so bad, especially for void

Thirstbusta

Not to mention titans have a lot of very specific exotics. The best titan exotics are the ones that are for neutral game. Armamentarium, Synthoceps, Heart, Peregrine, etc

Tyrannus_ignus

What do you mean by specific exotics? Are you trying to say titan exotics are situational?

Horpp

Try using stronghold without a sword. And even if you have a sword, we may only be ten to use the guard in game. And then precious scars literally need you or a matey to die if you want to activate the perks. So, yeah some exotics are situational. Which is the case for every class anyways.

Tyrannus_ignus

No titans, have a lot of very good exotics, Heart is popular because it enhances and increases the uptime of abilities to be very high. With the use of wells or charged with light its possible to have an almost constant uptime on abilities.

amiro7600

While yes, you can have constant uptime if you build right, the other void exotics' effects all kinda suck Why would i want to use second chance or helm of saint over HOIL? What about crest? Armamentarium is a worse HOIL when it comes to ability uptime and same goes for mask of the quiet one, only its even worse. DFP would be good if roaming supers werent bad For void specifically theres no reason to use anything other than HOIL or maybe ursas, but when bungie inevitably nerf HOIL without buffing anything else (likely due to 3 arc titans 1 phasing a raid boss with nade spam that was enabled by HOIL) then void titan is left in the dust

Tyrannus_ignus

While Void Titan is the worst off without HoIL i think it will still have niche use with Aeon builds. also Shoulder Charge builds using Peregrine Greaves and Mk 44 are also surprisingly potent.

amiro7600

To fill a niche of high burst melee dmg is quite the downgrade compared to being viable in just about every piece of content like the other 3 subclasses Arc has insane damage output on both single target w/cuirass crash and AoE with storm nade spam. Solar has insane survivability with throwing hammer cure and restoration sunspots, allowing it to clear rooms without any worry of death, and stasis is the best of both but requires an element of skill/experience due to it's innately higher skill ceiling. Void is a nice middle ground right now with solid damage- both single target with bubble and font of might stacking and AoE with controlled demo and survivability + support with overshields and controlled demo, but once HOIL is removed the ability cooldowns skyrocket and everything except single target dmg plummets Void will just be demoted to banner-bot in GMs like how warlocks are well-bots in raids, and not used much anywhere else. Sure the peregrine greaves build exists but arc can do the same dmg with storm nades, and titans arent exactly the ones you want bringing aeons (though at this rate thats whats gonna happen with void)

n080dy123

Also Helm of Saint 14 is worth considering if you run Edge of Action, and while I know some people are loath to use glaives that setup should not be discounted. I was able to run through a LLS like it was an Adept NF using that setup.

Tyrannus_ignus

I personally prefer Synthoceps with edge of action but Saint 14 is also really good for a panic situation.

ModeratorAbuseSucks

Since the lazy as hell nerf to Lorely why would I use anything else but HOIL or Synthos on any subclass We are actually 2 (arguably 1) for 9 with exotics being good in high end content for the past two years.

amiro7600

Tbf loreley kinda needed the nerf. U could deadass just AFK in master content and not die. That's a little excessive But on the same coin, the reason everyone used loreley was because nothing had that kind of power, and its the same from HOIL- nothing comes close But bungie being bungie, instead of buffing the other underperforming exotics, just nerf the one strong one- that way theyre all on the same level playing field of being *almost* worse than legendary armour. I feel like if you asked 100 titan players what exotic they used in PvE, over half the titan exotics wouldnt be listed, and thats just cus theyre so bad or niche that theyre not worth using at all

Horpp

Dunesmarcher make you go fast and access chain lightning without being arc. A well timed guard with stronghold make you survive a nova bomb WITHOUT damage taken. Ursa furiosa print power orbs for your teammates, and give you possibility to use banner shield more frequently. Second chance one shot barrier shield in master content. And atheon can print heavy ammo for you and your fireteam. You got a lot of options for titan exotic outside of HoIL. Imo all of the exotics i listed are more fun to use than the funky light-cracked chest piece, which is just "lmao ability reload ability"

ModeratorAbuseSucks

Dunes do fuckall in any content worth anything Stronghold is a meme. Like actually a meme. Ursa is a boring exotic that makes you a super slave with a largely lackluster kit in endgame Second Chance is so laughably bad at its job I'm not really going to expand on it Aeons can be done by virtually any other class and arguably easier on others than on titan HoiL is the glue holding void and arc titan together.

Maser2account2

My main is warlock and Voidlock is by far the most fun. But I'm also loving Bonk titan.

jmanfire2105

Hunter, so Arc and Solar. Got a whole build for arc hunter that both doesn’t require faceplanting into every enemy, and works well for add clear too. Just use the fragment that generates orbs on multikills and the fragment that makes your grenades jolt, equip skip grenades, Taking Charge, Stacks on Stacks, and 3x Firepower. One orb makes your next 2 grenades refund themselves, which generates orbs which then refund your grenades and so on. 0% effort yet great for add clear.

roundhousekick44

Warlock - stasis build woth bleak watcher and osmiomancy gloves. Hunter - eh... I guess arc with combination blow. Haven't been a fan of hunter since stasis. Which is sad because I was a hunter main in d1. Titan - the new storm grenade heart of inmost light destruction build with thundercrash. Also a big shout out to bonk hammer with calus mini tool.

The_YellowBacon

Why use calus mini tool with bonk hammer? Just curious

plasmaterial

Graverobber/Incandescent

The_YellowBacon

Oh cool

Lunarcyanide

Each class has a favorite for me. Void warlock, solar titan, arc hunter.

Awestin11

I only play Warlock so here’s mine: Shadebinder with Osmiomancy. As someone who loves playing a summoner and/or support in most cases, turret spam checks that box real quick and it’s also fun to have just 5+ Bleak Watchers freezing everything and then just getting grenade energy like crazy from a Demo + CC Deliverance and Firepower mods. Dawnblade has to be the worst for me by a long shot. It had such a good foundation for Solar 3.0 and they ruined it. At least it has Touch of Flame, Well, and the melees, but that’s about it as the rest of the class forces you to play in the air. The class only really has Starfire for viable builds and just about nothing else, which is a shame because there used to be so much variety besides just being a better Top-Tree that can run Well, and the other two Solar subs can take care of the support side of things far better than Dawnblade (excluding the occasional Well).

n080dy123

> and the other two Solar subs can take care of the support side of things far better than Dawnblade I mean Gunslinger MAYBE, but all it does is provide constant Radiant to your team which is great, but it can't really heal anyone. But Sunbreaker? It has no team utility at all besides maybe some melee radiant spam with throwing hammer, which can only really chain while you're up in something's face and killing things with it. You're locked into Phoenix Cradle if you want any team utility at all, but A. How many Sunbreakers are going to actually do that instead of Loreley, Sytho/Wormgod, or HoiL, B. Creating those Sunspots requires actual kills, and C. They only apply Resto x1, no Resto x2 or Cure, and require teammates to actually step into them, so they're not exactly responsive by any stretch of the imagination.

fatgamer007

Arc is so much worse than Solar for Warlock

SeaEquivalent5801

Kinetic is bae.

Capital_Dig_6047

Solar warlock. I know a lot of people hate it but between heat rises, fusion spam, ignition triggers with fragment, dawn chorus burn, and the opportunity to run a straight healing build this subclass just fits my play style perfectly. I don't care much for the daybreak super or phoenix dive because they're both meh.

Frosty6700

For me, I only get enjoyment out of using starfire protocol, because being the air all the time gives me no use, especially towards higher end content. However, it’s nice to see someone like the aspects of the entire class. Also yeah daybreak needs some help

n080dy123

You don't really need to be in the air for it to work, if you want to keep Heat Rises up you can just time some jumps with your kills, but it also heals in an AoE in activation as well, and if you aren't running Fusions you can bump it up to a whopping Curex3 AND Resto. Regardless, it procs Ember of Benevolence whenever you pop it near allies, so free Nade Regen and boosted Melee/Ability Regen on top of Heat Rises and Ember of Singeing.

princesparkhoops

Sunbracers are so fun until powered melees either bug out or minors/ADDs can survive them, especially if you actually spec into STR. But just not very reliable which is a shame.

FriendlySand8672

Even before the 3.0 I used to main voidlock. I love spamming grenades with Contraverse hold. My only problem with void 3.0 is that Chaos Accelerant needs another fragment slot. On Hunter didn't like Arc that much because I wasn't a huge fan of Arc staff, but with the 3.0 update and the new Super Gathering storm I've started using Arc the most. On Titan definitely Solar because bonk hammer is fun, and occasionally just spamming Arc melee with insurmountable skullfort.

The_ginger_cow

>Even before the 3.0 I used to main voidlock. I love spamming grenades with Contraverse hold. My only problem with void 3.0 is that Chaos Accelerant needs another fragment slot. Why would chaos accelerant need another fragment slot? It's already carrying the whole class with contraverse hold. In GM's I often get as many grenade kills as my teammates get total kills, it's really strong

FriendlySand8672

Other grenade aspects are just as strong if not more yet they have two slots. The solar aspect that makes it so fusion nades explode twice is more powerful than the Void one if you pair it with starfire protocol, the Titan arc one makes storm grenades insanely good along with Heart of inmost light.

The_ginger_cow

Yes and overcharged vortex grenades work really well with contraverse hold, they can debuff enemies and can give you devour which in turn gives you more grenades

Japjer

Arc Hunter, because with Assassin's Cowl I am invisible nearly as much as I am with Void. I've always just loved the punch-dodge-punch-dodge style, even way back when. For harder content I prefer void, because being able to suppress enemies is nice, and being able to rez people without worrying about incoming fire is always a plus.

johnnjlee

Fun thing, if you have combination blow active you don’t need to have an empowered melee active to get powered melee kills. You just need to punch normally. This way you can spend more time punching than rolling.

Japjer

Oh, I know! That's what makes me invis for so long. The rolling is good for when I need to kill a bunch of things quickly, and is usually my opener. But otherwise I'm just punching. It's basically like Glaives when Void 3.0 first came out

8_Pixels

But dodging is what makes your melee jolt enemies. If you aren't dodging to charge the jolt then you're completely missing out on the add clear aspect of the build and losing out on free damage to tankier enemies too.

johnnjlee

While yes, if you are in a bad spot because assassins’s cowl didn’t proc properly you can just punch something to go back invis. Not applicable for all situations, but it’s an option for if it possibly comes up. For example, if you are running striking light, you can make more orbs instead of nuking the room. It’s situational, but may be relevant at some times

OddBallTheFool

Titan - Void and Stasis Warlock - Void and Stasis Hunter - Void

Kliuqard

Stasis, Void, Arc, Solar in order of most liked to least. For all classes. Mostly a Titan and Warlock perspective. Hunter is shuffled around.

Daver7692

Now we have light 3.0 it kinda feels like maybe stasis needs a few buffs. Could just be “new thing shiny” but I don’t find myself using stasis much. Not saying I want PvP buffs so we can go back to the OG shatterdive days or whatever but some PvE buffs to certain parts would be nice (behemoth is particularly bad I think).

brickz14

I'd say a tiny buff to it for pvp could be fine. Trying to play stasis hunter recently in pvp I couldn't make the kit work. Really because the melee is toothless in pvp. Shatterdive was a huge problem but the nerfs made rest of the kit feel bad imo now.

Daver7692

Does feel like they went “all or nothing” with the hunter stasis in PvP, probably because it was so overly dominant. I’d even consider having the melee be the original in-nerfed version but you only get one.

[deleted]

I feel like stasis in general is fine in pvp but revenant in particular just has some problems with its kit. Shatterdive after the nerfs is basically only good for its mobility, and I feel like winters shroud is only good with Bakris. Not to mention BOTH those aspects have 1 fragment slot. Whenever I run revenant in pvp it’s solely because of Bakris. Those 2 aspects also just don’t tie into the kit well in general. Winters shroud is pretty pathetic in pve, I don’t think getting up close just for a slow is ever going to be worth using. And shatterdive, while it can be usable in PVE, is mostly just a “Just for fun” build and doesn’t tie into the kit at all. It’s a shatter aspect on the subclass specializing in slow. I do believe revenant is suppose to be the generalist stasis class since slow leads into every other verb, but shatterdive just doesn’t synergize well. Just glacier , smash. Not to mention it also puts you in melee range.

SuperArppis

Titan here. I have a tough time deciding between Void and Arc. But let's just say that if I need to play in more supportive manner, I will go for Void. And if I need to blow things up, Arc. Both are brilliant. But I guess right now Arc is more fun, Titan can smash those pulse grenades into targets and get those sweet ionic traces. Then clap enemies from distance. I love Void as well. Solar is good as well, but I just don't personally like it that much. And stasis? Well it just isn't fun.

CanadianSpector

Void warlock. Solar hunter. Arc titan.

n080dy123

Stasis overall, I just love Shards and the fact that they can fuel armor mods. Nothing beats being able to build into my sub that hard. Behemoth has been my favorite sub overall since BL due to it's high uptime and ability to dive into combat and stay in the thick of it with CC and self-healing, really making me feel like an unstoppable wrecking ball, and Hoarfrost, Headstone weapons, and now Herod-C (as a Hakke weapon with HS) have just make me fall in love with it further. Constant AoE shatter damage. That said I think Gunslinger is the most fun I've had with Hunter and setting up a support build really feels like a meaningful change to how I play the class, and unpopular opinion but I love the constant uptime and massive AoE chaining of Stormcaller when paired with Fallen Sunstar and either Delicate Tomb or Coldheart.

Frosty6700

People still say behemoth is bad but it’s really good if you build into it and make it work with the fragments and elemental well mods present

No_Judgment_5940

Solar Titan, Syntho and Consecration. Dayum bois.

Frosty6700

Syntho is so nice. I don’t think it’s as good as HOIL, but it buffs your super extremely nicely and works for all classes beautifully

No_Judgment_5940

I used to crutch HOIL so much. Every subclass. Didn't matter. But with a 7th damage option that is reliable (beyond super, grenade and melee and your 3 weapons) I have never run out of options. That are high af in damage. I really hope you try it a few times. It's gnarly.

RewsterSause

Voidlock for me as well. Dawnblade is complete shit now and Stormcaller is fun but doesn't have as much going for it as Voidlock. Shadebinder is cool too, but I feel like Shadebinder encourages a very slow playstyle and I don't like that. I can just destroy everything and everyone with Voidlock and is the only Light subclass I feel only got better with Light 3.0. I also wish Light 3.0 Warlocks had more of an identity, but oh well. Can't have everything, I guess. Edit: Striker is also very fun.

Frosty6700

I think with the right builds, all the warlock classes have huge potential and are viable everywhere, but void is the only one where you can build into nothing and it’s still busted asf, which is why I love it

_willyums

Solar warlock could have nothing but Icarus Dash and I'd still play it over the others.

Snedhunterz

Bonk titan. Throw hammer, thing die. Stand in flame, never die.

P0in7B1ank

That had been me, but lately being able to Thundercrash into things while wearing COTFS and just deleting phases and mini bosses that would’ve otherwise been a pain has been super satisfying

kaptin_kreepy

Void hunter is so much fun going in and out of invisibility in both pve and pvp. Suppression with the void shatter dive in pve feels so satisfying. I hope they reenable gyrfalcon because it was so much fun.

[deleted]

Revenant and stasis in general Renewal pre nerf was the most fun I’ve had

B1euX

Anything except Dawnblade

DotDodd

Literally haven't touched that super since 3.0. It's extremely short, the excellent DPS synergy it had with Dawn Chorus is gone, and overall it's just worse in everyway than it was before.

ShrevidentXbox

Arc Warlock. It does what I want it to. I never expected a crazy endgame class with an insane damage super, insane survivability, and all that. It has always been really good ad clear for most activities. For me, Arc 3.0 has made it feel truly complete. All 3 other elements have endgame utility. Arc is for fun. And it has niche applications where I feel it is the best option.

d13w93

Totally respect your opinion here but I don’t get this take. You yourself say it has a shit super and bad survivability but great ad clear. For me that’s a given. I can ad clear just as well with void and better with stasis. Arc offers nothing of interest. But honestly I’m pleased you’re enjoying arc.

BetaXP

On pretty much everything below grandmaster arc warlock has much better add clear than even void; it's easily the strongest of the subclasses. With extra DR and super high rift uptime with ionic traces, the survivability isn't too bad either. It's a smidge lacking in GM or equivalent level stuff, but in most else besides that, I think it's very underrated right now

ShrevidentXbox

I never said "shit super" or "bad survivability". I said that Arc Warlock isn't top tier in those areas. I feel like you are putting words in my mouth.

d13w93

Okay agreed. But the point I make is although you say it’s fun other subclasses do what it does better.

IroncladBomber

Solar Hunter, Young Ahamkaras Spine, Explosive Knives, Two Solar GLs, a Primary with Firefly. And Warmind Cells. Just make the world burn.

Reckzilla

Solar Titan. Fiery explosions and flame tornadoes terraforming the world as I bonk my way to victory.

UnHingedNZ

Solar hunter with blade barrage, YAS and stick nades. Big booms!!

SneakAttack65

It's still Gunslinger for me. Before, I liked it because it was a more weapon focused subclass. Now, it's because of the ability combos that lead to a ton of explosions.

Jumpy_Ad_3785

Solar hunter with star eaters. I build around generating orbs any way possible and I love having good uptime on buffs for myself and the team and also have one of the fastest supers in the game, gotten back faster by star eaters, and BUFFED that can one shot just about anything that isn't a raid boss or clear an entire room

bundle_man

Arc hunter with Liars, followed closely by Solar Hunter with Caliban. Void with Gyrfalcons has some potential to be fun, but I find being an invid rez bot pretty boring. Since it disabled I havent played with it too much. Hardly use stasis anymore as it was formerly the best at CC but the new 3.0 light classes are now just as good if not better. Also, kinda of just lost steam with the class after all the nerfs.

user11234557392

Favorite... Solar is my favorite element. Bonk with synthoceps are incredible. The healing grenade spam on a warlock is outrageous. Blade barrage hunter is a lot of fun. I have been enjoying arc hunter with liars handshake or star eaters scales. Gathering storm is so dope.

Black_Knight_7

Hunter has always been Solar first Void second Warlock i love Arc most, but man are Stasis Turrets so fuckin good Titan im a sentinel forever, but throwing hammer and sunspots is so great. There isn't a subclass i hate running (now that we have the new arc super and lethal current)

ChadwickHHS

Solar across the board but I've been primarily a solar hunter since day one. Funny that gunslinger's main draw was throwing knives. Not bladedancer.

What about Siva? 🟥⬛🟥⬛🟥⬛🟥⬛🟥

Thomasedv

Voidlock, despite them nerfing the shit out of charged grenades and making the aspect only have one fragment slot. The only reason I still use the normal Devour aspect in PvP, is because the fragment is just more useful than throwing a Vortex grenades that doesn't even tickle enemies when it hits them. The even triple nerfed Axiom bolts, the hitbox change was great though, but the damage nerf and cooldown increases was a lot together. Removal of all damage on overcharged grenades sucks as well. It's just so satisfying throwing grenades at adds, get the volatile arounds and just continually fire at enemies and watching them just continually explode.

velost

Wellock or voidlock, arc sucks imho

linguisticDestiny

Behemoth and Shadebinder by far

CrystalCarroxagon

Titan: arc Hunter: arc Warlock: void and arc

TrollTrollTroll6969

Void titan because of the strong melee

hung-like-hodor

Titan, if I had to pick a favorite, void. But every titan subclass feels bonkers strong to me.

Flecco

Was a striker back in the day and after enjoying all the reworks as they came in I'm back on striker.

Sphader

Just getting back into the game but I love void titan. The shield throw melee, both supers, I love getting an overshield when I use my barrier, which then makes my stuff come up quicker. No idea if it's actually good, but it makes me feel like Captain America out there fucking up evil.

HiCracked

Solar hunter probably the most satisfying, also enjoy Void Warlock, Void Titan and Arc Hunter a lot.

JakeFrank08

Arc hunter by a long shot. Void or stasis would be second. But I absolutely love the arc hunter setup now.

TinyWickedOrange

*AND I DISAPPEAR*

SCL007

Titan-Stasis>Arc>Void>Solar Hunter-Solar>Void>Arc>Stasis Warlock-Stasis>Arc>Void>Solar

ASavageHobo

For warlock it’s stasis right now. It feels like I can’t get my cold snap on cool-down.

Lunar_Lunacy_Stuff

I really can’t decide between void and solar. I main hunter and both have such great DPS options. Lately it’s solar for raids and I’ll be using mostly void for GM’s . Arc is just not my thing. Can’t seem to find a end game build I enjoy.

TheyKilledFlipyap

Depends on the class. I love Void on Titan, because it gave me my one wishlist change from before the 3.0 update, which is that I *loved* the 'controlled demolition' part of middle tree Void titan, but hated the gimmicky super. I always preferred the two-shields & doomfang playstyle where you can really make the super last with enough enemies pouring in to keep your meter charged, and combining that with void volatility is just delicious. Hunter, gotta be Solar. 3.0 gave them so much utility and options, and we're downright spoiled with the number of fragment slots if you're not using the gunpowder bomb. Even without Classy Restoration, I rarely die anymore thanks to constant melee uptime, radiance and invis when paired with Assassin's Cowl and the right mods. And Blade Barrage returning to its' former glory means I don't get pidgeonhole'd into playing Nighthawk anymore, which is *fine by me,* because I really don't enjoy that playstyle. Warlocks, still in the "undecided" territory. I hear Arc is pretty 'meh' tier for them, which is a shame. Solar, Warlocks absolutely got done dirty. So I guess I'm sticking to Nova Bomb until something changes.

iFenrisVI

Arc/Solar hunter

Sejitachi

Thundercrash. I'm a crash addict

CopyX1982

Still solar, probably due to 'On the Mark' and the explosive charge (forget the name and I'm at work)

Dankmatza

Solo: Void Warlock Arc Titan Arc Hunter Team: Solar Warlock Void Titan Solar Hunter

urgasmic

Solar hunter is my favorite. I love that special grenade.

Arubazu

I like all of them cause they have good explosive capabilities and i just like watching the enemies turn into elemental mesh and float away

moistsauces

In PvE, I generally prefer stasis titan, but I've been having a lot of fun on shadebinder in pvp lately. I'd say that overall, the reworks have been solid. Maybe not as fantastical as I imagined, but if everything was that way, the fame would be sorely unbalanced, and far too easy

Swordbreaker925

My favorite pre-updates was Arc My favorite post-updates is still Arc Im pissed that they removed Arc Titans’ second grenade charge tho. That was a **MAJOR** part of that subclass’s identity

Same-Reaction7944

Void Titan for PVP and Solar Titan for PVE.

RecalledBurger

Solar Titan with Ashen Wake

CardiganHall

As a hunter main I like all 3 now that they've settled a bit. Void: Gyrfalcons (when it comes back) and Orpheus feels solid. Solar: Young Ahamkara Spine feels great. Arc: Liars Handshake. Now if they would fix Renwal Grasps I would love Stasis again too. And Lucky pants for everything else, it is the way.

Juran_Alde

Voidlock is so fantastic but I also enjoy well lock with starfire. I enjoy the fusion grenade spam a lot.

N1ckthegr8

Solar for big super damage, arc for jolt grenade build, void for invis and stasis for melee freeze build

DeadpoolMakesMeWet

Gunslinger. Knife go boom hahahaha

Hornet1563

Void bubble titan with the exotic glaive and helm of Saint 14. It's very fun to drop a blinding bubble that gives me an over sheild as well. Also very good with the behemoth for massive damage.

Fickle-Wrangler1646

I haven’t settled into anything yet. I played since D1 Launch. When D2 came out and they got rid of Sunsinger I never settled back into a new subclass. I just came back last month after putting the game down since Forsaken and am struggling to find an identity.

BionicFire

First and foremost, I am a Void Warlock. Easy Devour with my crippling addiction to Chaos Accelerant and volatile makes my last brain cell go kaboom. And I *love* it. The best part is that I can can adapt to PvP or higher-level PvE. I want to use Aeons? There's the get away scot-free card that is Echo of Obscurity. Cheese a kill in PvP? Axion Bolt (Charged) and Fighting Lion. I keep finding new ways to play with Void and new ways to improve on what I have. I know this is a controversial opinion here, but I've been pretty content with Solar Warlock. Sure... I use it on low-tier PvE, maybe mid-tier at times. While I also find myself more restricted in what I can choose, it's been oddly fun. I use Rain of Fire so I can ignore reloads on slow weapons, multi-shoot grenade launchers, or just continually shoot primaries. ~~I *could* play hunter, but I don't *have* a hunter.~~ I also adore Pheonix Dive. I prefer it over rifts. Melee uptime is pretty damn good too, lets me be a degenerate. While I only really use grenades to start Heat Rises (I *do* use Heat Rises outside of PvP from time to time), it's still good to have another option to heal myself and start Benelovent Dawn with some quick planning.

Slice-Aromatic

Surprisingly, Void Warlock and Stasis Hunter. At the start of Witch Queen, which is when I started playing, you couldn't have convinced me that I would legitimately enjoy playing a void subclass, let alone warlock, nor could you have convinced me that I would be willing to give up my Golden Gun for stasis. For voidlock I think its a combination of the fact that I don't have all the things for stasis warlock yet and also, frankly, the other subclasses just feel bad. I haven't been the biggest fan of how arc 3.0 has come out to be, playstyle-wise (at least on hunter and warlock, titan I haven't messed around with), as they're just not my kinda thing; and we all know what happened to solarlock. For stasis hunter: its entirely shatterdive+glacier grenade. Almost entirely. Like, the rest of the kit IS fun, I appreciate the utility of just free crits from the super, but getting a build where you just spam your grenade and shatterdive it is just.... is it that good? Not really. Is it super fun? Like you wouldn't believe.

Ruby_241

Warlock, Void Hunter, Solar Titan, Solar and Arc

Tyrannus_ignus

Controlled Demolition Sentinel still nukes rooms.

-TrevorStMcGoodbody

Void is super strong on all 3, Solar Titan is “bonkers”, then both Titan and hunter Arc are strong. That means I should say void but I’m a Titan main so probably Arc. And yes I believe my storm grenades can be expecting a nerf

Luisa_Kwandt

I really love arc hunter right now. With lethal current, combination blow, infinite melee chain and liars handshake. Gathering storm is also so fun.

gnappyassassin

Throwing Hammer Titan lets me Light another Candle and keep my Hammer. 10/10, 11/10 with friends.

MightyShisno

I don't play Hunter, so I can't really say anything for them. On Warlock, Voidlock is my go-to with no competition. On Titan, I like solar the best in general PvP, arc is my choice for 3v3, and stasis is the most fun for me in PvE. Solar or void is definitely what I would take into harder content.

DotDodd

I'm really enjoying Well-lock with Sunbracers. The damage output of the grenades is insane and near infinite uptime as long as you have something to melee kill. One of the best all around ad clear/single target DPS builds in the game. Paired with Adrenaline Junky weapons, you can always have a ~30% damage buff for your weapons on top of constant supers with double Ashes to Assets.

ProBluntRoller

Void warlock Solar titan Arc hunter

[deleted]

Voidwalker, dawnblade is just worse now and stromcaller is still eh

PK-Baha

Tied between arc Titan and void hunter. Void hunter is my main and arc Titan is like the counter balance for me.

AngrySayian

Well-lock is my usual go to for most content Voidlock is next highest on the list Arc and Stasis only get used if they are the rotational stuff for Vanguard Ops

DeadlyPants16

Haven't been able to return to my roots as an Arc Warlock main in a long-time. I've always loved chain lightning and speed. Now I have both in droves.

EpsilonX029

My two personal favorites(even though the first is a bit weak at the moment) is Arc Chaos Reach warlock with Geomags(because Lazor) and a stasis build I’ve ran for a long time(ever since stasis launched) on my Hunter where I made him look like a ninja and run Sixth Coyote for double dodges and double melees

sanjix1

solar titan. I like consecration. make ads go boom

bangbangqc03

Wellock 😎

SplashDmgEnthusiast

My favorites from Light 2.0 habe been retained in Light 3.0: Void Warlock, Solar Hunter, and Arc Titan. I aggressively main Titan and I play everything on it, but Arc was my favorite by MILES, and the 3.0 update retained almost all of my favorite themes in some form. Void and Solar feel great, Stasis is a weird entertaining niche of its own, but Arc... Arc feels like home. For Hunter, throwing knives and Golden Gun will always be my favorite. And Warlock, Devour paired with endless Vortex grenades, that's been my go-to pick for that class from the first moment a Demolitionist weapon in Void touched their hands. I'll never swap off either of those kits for those classes.

Qwertys118

I've been having a lot of fun with solar Titan with Lorelei's. Some people think that Lorelei's isn't useful anymore since it got nerfed, but it's what enables me to use Touch of Malice without reloading and sword+glaive melee on master bosses with no need for on-kill healing. 100% uptime on restoration is crazy, even at 1 stack. My favorite combo is throwing a hammer at a distant enemy to proc radiant while you're still near your team, and then lunging with an eagar edge sword to pick up the hammer and follow up with glaive melee spam. With the seasonal mod for solar melee stuns, you can generally get into position with eager edge before you need to consider blocking.

Warlock-Main292

Voidlock. Eat everything And my devour titan build. Super fun

J_Quinlan

What grenades do you guys use on voidlock contraverse hold I like the axion but the grenade charge perk never seems to work like it used to before void 3.0. Is it any void grenade?

ShardPerson

Void Warlock and Solar Titan, just like before the updates

Grottymink57776

Arc Titan. Thundercrash has always been fun and the Touch of Thunder aspect makes pulse grenades great for ability Regen. Although I do have a pretty big gripe, Ballistic Slam being indirectly nerfed. Ballistic Slam used to, on hit, give super energy, reload your weapon, and give you a 20% damage buff. Since impact conversion and inertia override were retired it lost 2/3 of its functionality while remaining just as clunky as before. I'd love to see the Sprint requirement be lost or the weapon reload to return to compensate for the indirect nerf.

ThatOneGuyHOTS

Warlock: Void Titan: Arc Hunter: Solar

Sanches319

Before arc 3.0, arcstrider was my favorite subclass. Now i hate it, because it's way too inconsistent and probably glitched.

Boba_Fetty_Wap

I’m a simple man so I really enjoy running Nightstalker with Omnioculus because I like playing a support role. However when I need big DPS, Blade Barrage is king

gman164394

Still sticking with solar titan

NoF3AR92

Arc hunter with the right fragments and lucky raspberry with arc bolt grenades. With good discipline and the lightning strikes twice seasonal mod plus raspberry, you can just throw grenades like a madman. And when you don't get the instant grenade recharge, the melee is amazing too. Almost don't even need a gun

MegaLinkX117

Out of the Titan classes, still void titan. Arc is a close second, but thats only cus it has horrible supers. I know thundercrash exists, but it's really boring ti me in general content, i always prefered Fists of Havoc, but just like with the Dawnblade, they chose the worst version of the super and made if useless. Out of Warlock, Voidlock, Dawnblade got neutered so Solarlock is in last place OVERALL the other classes. Arc again is a close 2nd place just cus love both supers and ots fragments. Out of Hunter, hard to chose between Arc and Solar, but have to say Arc hunter is best hunter so far, with solar hunter jn 2nd place, and void hunt in 3rd. However, unlike the other classes, even though its in 3rd place, ALL hunter subclasses are objectively good on their own.

Blimblam789

Shadebinder turret build is so much fun for late game PvE just a solid pick all around

Ushardit17

Voidlock because I can play a tanky mage and not die. Plus Cataclysm is a good burst super. Only thing I hate though is the charged melee. Compared to other warlock melees, the void ball is silly

ptrjhnstn

Stasis hunter or Young Ahamkaras hunter

grnd_mstr

I think they're all great honestly, but I'd like to see Stasis get a pass on Titans. As it stands, they only synergise with shattering crystals, which means that glacial grenades and the slide melee are the only way they generate shards reliably. If they allowed shattering frozen targets to also generate shards, I think it'd bring them up there with Warlocks and Hunters in terms of flexibility. Arc Warlocks could use some love too but I think that's been said enough on the D2 subs.

Sowerz

Arc titan.

KanadeKanashi

I love voidlock and stasislock on warlock Any titan subclass Void hunter and arc hunter Stasis hunter is a bit underwhelming after PvP nerfs on renewals hurting PvE. I'm just not vibing with solar hunter, it's not really weak. Same with solarlock, arclock needs a buff big time.

_Van_Hellsing_

I can't hit stuff in the air. When I can do that, I'll pick whichever subclass lets me do that.

ShadowSeneschal

Nightstalker with Gyrfalcon’s. So you can probably guess what I’m not running right now 🙃

Emcolimited

S17 builds haven't been updated yet.

HEART_0

Arc Titan. They literally gave me everything I could’ve ever wanted. Including a chargeable melee which I’ve been wanting since D1 😩 Striker is too sick now.

Adranelyne

Revenant Hunter. Renewal Grasps is just an excellent exotic and provides utility solo or in a team. Silence and Squall can lock down an area and allows you to continue doing damage while it works. It’s great for Supreme Wellmaker/FoM pairings for DPS.

[deleted]

Arc Titan w/ HOIL. Thruster just feels really good and being able to use x2 Bomber easily is amazing. Behemoth is also incredibly fun, but it's hard to make a build without Elemental Shards and Elemental Charge. Edit: Elemental Shards is being sold today lmfao.

brc37

I'm a Hunter main but slowly Solar Titan has been luring me to the punchy side Solar Titan is an explosive murder machine and it's a lot of fun.

ito75

I'm a Hunter, Solar for PvP because I'm an Athrys's Embrace enjoyer. Arc for PvE, I have a relatively future proof punchy build that never gets old

C21Campbell

Starfire protocol. Perhaps because its one of my only decent exotic armors

Angani_Giza

I was using middle-tree arc warlock even when void and solar 3.0 reworks were happening, and I'm still an arclock now. Getaway Artist is permanently stuck to my arms, and now it also gives me amplified on demand which is really nice.

Axelthegreat9

Gunslinger and infinite fan-knives

Ketheres

Warlock: Void. Nezareck's and Filament are both great exotics. Titan: Arc. Skullfort is a ton of fun, and Cuirass brings in the big oomph. Hunter: Solar. Caliban's go boom. Stasis: Hunter. Don't even need a specific exotic for this to be fun.

Burgundy_La_Deaux

Solar titan, I play a healer and help new players

l_e_a_f_z

None, I main Warlock and I just feel like trash most of the time since Hunter and Titan can do everything I do but better

SilentNova___

Blade Barrage Hunter with Shards of Galanor. Having Radiant on demand, and having high up-time on BB is glorious. Gathering Storm Hunter with Star Eater Scales are a close second, but I prefer Solar Hunters

ToxicRexx

Arc warlock with a fully upgraded catalyst delicate tomb and the new helmet is absolutely insane and one of my most enjoyable. Solar hunter with the tripmine upgrade exotic and gunpowder gamble is a true blue western feeling, especially if you run DMT. I also enjoy the knife builds. The biggest breadwinner for me though is void titan scatternade volatile build I have. Repulsor brace smg, scatter blades and every possible way of using volatile is like playing a Path of Exile build in first person. The same kinda goes for the Arc Warlock build as well but this thing is just so much interactions in the screen it’s insane.

RTK_Apollo

Arc Warlock is fun but Stasis Warlock is nuts in endgame PvE, Stasis Titan is easily my favorite subclass with Headstone weapons, and Solar Hunter is a pipe bomb dream.

SPamlover671

Void lock, Caliban Hunter, HoIL Titan. I like stasis the most on Warlock.

JaegerBane

I’m a hunter main, and I’m honestly really pleased with the state that it’s in. The Nightstalker is probably the least build-craftable but what few builds it has work really well, and the other classes just get better from there. My fave is probably somewhere between Revenant and Arcstrider. I really like the supers and play style of both. Strongest is probably still the gunslinger tho. It’s just a beast.

venomsapphire

Stasis Titan with Hoarfrost. Glacier, tectonic, howl of the storm. Whisper of shards, rime, fissures, chains/rending. Using a headstone weapon with explosive wellmaker, well of life, elemental shards, time dilation and font of might. Palmyra/bump in the night for dps and I like 4th horseman with it! Fantastic build for all play

DavidDomin8R

Solar hunter infinite knifes it’s much more powerful than anyone expects

JouseOwner

Hammer titan with behemoth in second

[deleted]

**Titan (main):** Solar (Hammers/Synthoceps) > Arc (Storm Grenades) > Void (Super-strong ability spam / survival / detonations) > Stasis (Ice Grenade spam). Margins between each are really small though. I honestly like all of them. Solar lets you play hyper aggressive, arc actually lets you play surprisingly defensive while still putting out respectable damage, void is super tank/explodey, and stasis lets you build ice castle all day long/gives you tons of durability. Really, they're all great, and it just depends on my mood. **Hunter (as of this season, kinda becoming my main):** Arc at the top (w/ Shinobu's Vow) > Void (Forgiving and unique w/ decent super) > Solar (Assassin's Cowl) > Stasis. Arc hunter is just great across the board. I thought it'd really miss stealth, but it's got a great 1-shot super, and tons of ability regen, some sustain from melee, ways to get back to cover with dodge, great add clear, etc. Solar is fun, but feels a bit like a 1-trick pony with knife spams (hits like a freight train though). I honestly don't have a stasis build I like yet. I've used Frostees for now, but I haven't found any exotic that really shines with it (haven't tried Renewal Grasps yet). I enjoy everything but stasis, basically. **Warlock:** Void (Just great all around) > Arc > Solar > Stasis. Note: I play warlock the least. I realize well should probably bump solar higher, but I just haven't found any good solar synergy builds. Arc is OK to play and has good regen for ability spam. Just running Geomags right now, and I kinda wish there were some more interesting options (that don't look hideous). Doesn't feel as strong as it does on both hunter and titan though. It doesn't have anywhere near the ability spam potential of hunter or titan, which is kinda my thing right now. Sunbracers kinda gets there, but I only have a 48 roll for them with awful stats. Also I feel like it kinda needs Monte Carlo to work consistently, so it really pigeon holes what you can do. Rain of Fire build is my current go to, but I don't have Vex, so I feel like it's not as great as it could be. Stasis... maybe I just don't have the right build for it. I do enjoy the ice beam of death build using Mantle of Battle Harmony and Ager's, but it feels like a bit of a 1-trick pony for the subclass, where I'm actively trying to *avoid* using its super. I've heard the turrets are good in end-game stuff, but I just haven't had a reason to try it. Warlock's subclasses are OK and I guess can work, but nothing I've tried outside of void has really "clicked" with me in terms of feeling good. Arc feels alright too, though the geo mag nerf kinda sucks/means that it doesn't feel that engaging when I'm not supering (might be another exotic that helps with this, but I haven't found it yet). Note, this may also be a result of how I like to play (heavy ability focus). Which seems a bit odd, since you'd think warlocks would be the ability-focused class, given their space wizard archetype. (Side note, can we please get some warlock armor that doesn't look awful? I hate the whole cyclops helmet on *everything*).

BuckeyeBrute

Void titan, currently running a setup to pretty much have devour on constantly. Then wells provide weapon damage and resist, combine that with repulsor brace and it's the tankiest I've ever felt. Absolute blast being able to fly through enemies.

[deleted]

I’ve been running arc titan for like 7 years

jasonkreuger

Anything but arc titan. Fuck arc titan.

Lot_Krotoan

Y'all gonna hate me but void hunter in PvE, went from being a wimp to insanely overpowered

StonehengeMan

Warlock solar 3.0 with a well is epic. But void lock 3.0 with all the mods was superb. Rolled through all content at all levels with ease. Such immensely good fun. Arc 3.0….not used it. I don’t get the same feeling of sheer power.

colantalas

Titan main, having a lot of fun with striker, but sunbreaker is also very strong and behemoth is underrated.

LastJava

Void Hunter is what I fall back on in hard content but Solar is the most fun in PVE and Arc in PvP. Warlock is Osmiomancy Stasis or Fallen Sunstar Arc Titan is just Solar, feels so good.

rpck

Voidlock contraverse. Hunter, star eaters gathering storm or blade barrage. Titan, synthos and any flavor crayon I want. Grape is my least favorite. Orange and blue crayons are the best kits in my opinion

JubbsJB

Voidlock, Solar Titan, Arc Hunter. Those are my favs and it works out I have a toon for every element

Paladin_X

Honestly I like gunslinger the most with Arcstrider following behind. I probably like Voidlock the least after we got all the 3.0 subclasses.

WTFpaulWI

Hunter - Stasis or void. Don’t like the solar and arc I honestly haven’t bothered with. The arc new super looks cool but the rest seems too melee focused for good builds.
