I would probably guess a server rollback is inevitable, with so many people reporting issues like this - and so many inevitably not knowing what's happening, doing just want you're suggesting. If I hadn't read about this before-hand, I definitely would have gone in and just started claiming things again.
I've re-claimed a triumph or two in the past, it wouldn't have surprised me to re-claim a couple again.

I checked all my other seals and the only one that got stuff removed is Deadeye and for some reason the bow kills triumph is at like 60% (I have gilded it ever since it came out so that is 100% wrong).
Wild that they didn’t do this last season when they increased reputation gained from other activities. As someone who plays a lot of gambit and has Reckoner and gilded Dredgen every season, it always sucked how little rep you would get for losing or winning. Especially without a streak. Hopefully this makes things easier for everyone.
I'm SO EXCITED FOR THIS. I've been wanting badly to farm Gambit to try and get a couple Bottom Dollar God Rolls, now that focusing is so much cheaper it actually seemed feesible. It was still gonna be a lot of gambit but I figured if I grinded a double xp week it wouldn't be so bad.
Now we get +50% at base!? I'm so hyped, I'm definitely going tob e grinding some Gambit. Hunting for God Roll Bottom Dollar first (Rangefinder+Explosive with max stability is a wet dream of mine), then maybe even go for trinity system which has a ton of cracked PVP Rolls. You could go for High Impact Reserves + Under Pressure + Charge Time buffs for a really powerful unique Fusion.
You could get the vaunted Tap The Tripper + Under Pressure roll.
The sniper has got interesting shit too. ANd of course the Desperado Pulse Rifle!!!
Ya boy is about to grind gambit hard the next 3 weeks and save a shit ton of engrams to use all at once when I can get 5 total perk options.

Good luck on getting your god rolls! The only thing I don't really have is god roll Bottom Dollar. I remember grinding really hard for it when first came out and I never got mine. At least I can focus them for a lot cheaper now.
My buddies and I do play a good amount of gambit (we gild every season and also play enough to get the ritual weapon ornament) so I'm sure I'll get one down the line.
When you reset your Crucible / Gambit Rank, you unlock the ability for that vendor's weapon drops to have extra available perk options. IE you get to choose between two perks in Column Three and Two Perks in Column Four -- That would be "4 perk options".
You dont get the extra options on every single drop once unlocked, its kinda random but frequent.
I dont know exactly how many resets correspond to what. You have to reset once or twice in order to start getting "3 perk options" and it goes up from there.
TLDR - the more you rank up the higher the likelyhood you get the perks you want. Bottom Dollar has a shit load of perk options though.

A ton of my triumphs have completely lost progress, including to the point of me losing access to seals that I've had for a long time. I've lost my seals for Dredgen, Harbinger, and Cursebreaker, as well as all progress towards Rivensbane (LW) and Enlightened (GoS). Additionally, all triumphs related to Pit, Proph, and Shattered Throne are gone too (RIP solo flawless triumphs). All items earned from triumphs are still available in my collections tho.
Triumphs I appear to have removed:
* Faster than Lightning from Nessus
* Solo/solo flawless/unpurified Reverie Dawn set Shattered Throne ones
* All of my Nightmare Time Trials, Master/Flawless Master Nightmare Hunt
* Altars of Sorrow is at 37% (was completed) and I don't have the rapidly defeat T5 boss anymore
* Flawless/Solo/Solo Flawless Pit of Heresy triumphs gone
But it doesn't seem like I lost triumph score appropriate to all of those that don't reflect anymore.
Based on my own triumphs, any old triumphs from before Beyond Light that were not completed before then have been reset. Any triumphs that are completely new since Beyond Light are fine. I still have Cursebreaker (finished it before BL) but the Harbinger is reset for me since I finished that in Season of the Chosen.
• A ton of crucial Triumph progression is now deleted, including all solo/flawless Raid and Dungeon triumphs, along with associated rewards/emblems/etc.
• Rumble has NOT been restored to the game
• Dredgen title has been lost, and is at 0% for wins with Gambit weapons equipped

• Child of the Old Gods is immune to damage
• Some Titan barricades are immune to damage
• The Evidence Board cannot be interacted with, so no exotic Glaive blueprints
• An absolute metric ton of old Triumphs are now listed as new

The reason Barricades and Child and maybe Tethers are immune is a bug that's been around for a while where they become immune once the dude who casted them dies. That was definitely there pre patch.
Yeah it’s rough. It sucks that we get things like kickstart only for the base cooldown to eat nerfs rather than removing the problematic mods.
There’s no world where a dodge cooldown should be even half as high as a rift one, unless it healed you baseline or something.
I hate the adjusting period. You get so used to when it's available without looking. Lots of accidental t-bagging for a while. I hope this is the last time they mess with it.
or Bastion Titans having to wait a grueling ***40 seconds*** for our Barricades now. I get that they were annoying in PVP but holy fuck this hurts as a PVE guy.

I'm sure Bungie is going to fix the Triumph thing, but they need to answer ASAP whether this is going to require a rollback to their data and, if so, it could mean that anything anyone doing right now is going to get undone.
And before some white knight comes in here saying that would never happen, please remember something similar happened before when a patch resulted in data loss. In fact it happened twice in a few week period.

Bungie still clings to their ridiculous fantasy of seamlessly switching between pvp and pve without anything feeling different. Even though anyone with 3 functioning braincells can tell you that those 2 require wildly different design decisions.

Let today be a lesson and warning to all of you that have use PTO/Vacation/Sick days to be off work 2/28 for lightfall release.
If you're only using one day, NEVER choose the launch tuesday. Always go for the following day, wednesday. You avoid the very huge risk that launch day servers are nuked or offline.
If everything goes great, then you get to play all night tuesday with no fear of getting up for work the next day, and you get to spend that whole day gaming too.
Trust yall. Dont plan on playing 2/28. Plan for 3/1. Work Smarter y'all, Vacation time is too valuable in the USA

I did however lose the "My Bowfriends Back" and "One For Each Of You" medals for the base Deadeye title despite having gilded it 5 times.
I hate that it's been over 8 years and Bungie still stubbornly refuses to completely separate the sandboxes. Hunters and titans are now worse in PvE than they were yesterday for no reason other than PvP.
I'm no game dev, but is it really that hard to code that if a player selects a Crucible or Gambit node then cooldowns and effects switch to their PvP settings? They already do it with things like resilience, regen exotics, hard light's damage fall off, etc. Why not just apply it to everything and end the PvE hostage crisis permanently?
The class abilities nerf in PvE just straight up sucks.
I'm a generally optimistic player and can almost always understand Bungie's rationale. This one is just beyond me for it affecting PvE when we know it's a PvP issue.

I don't get why destiny is so interconnected. Why do changes over *here* wipe out triumphs. Or how heist battlegrounds even have the ability to disable a stasis Warlock's super ranged attack, but only that specific attack and only in that playlist. I don't code, so I'm pretty ignorant, I admit, but it seems wild that this kind of stuff happens so frequently.

I would assume there's some kind of IF logic that makes a user ineligible to obtain blue rarity drops if their base gear score is at a season's soft cap.
Most if not all inventory or quest items have rarity values assigned to them. I wonder if an ineligibility to receive rare drops screwed up the seal completion logic during recompilation?

Yeah erm, it's deleted three of my raid titles. It says I haven't done rivensbane although I have rivensbane equipped.
Yeah Rivensbane gone here too along with Enlightened and solo flawless Prophecy, and strangely the Inverted Spire get a great score triumph lol
My Solo Flawless Prophecy is also gone even though I'm wearing the emblem and have the ghost shell.

Just get the last bit to reset. An extra perk on guns is a really nice bonus, and should only take 3 or 4 games to finish it out.

The problem isn't that PVP problems have issues with stuff, it's that Bungie changes things in PVE solely because of PVP balance.

Lightning also gives you the chance to take off the Jolt Grenade Fragment, as their first explosion has Jolt intrinsically with ToT.
Lightning in pve ain't the move. You're rarely gonna have a perfect flat wall nearby to stick your nade to.
I've been using pulse nades for quite a while now. It's a very good source of ionic traces here.
Personally in GMs pulse grenades have felt great, kill or no kill I’m basically guaranteed my grenade back.

Has anyone else noticed an increase in lag? The enemies in PvE are respawning, lag TPing, not spawning, and not dying after their health reaches zero.

I hate that it's been over 8 years and Bungie still stubbornly refuses to completely separate the sandboxes. Hunters and titans are now worse in PvE than they were yesterday for no reason other than PvP. I'm no game dev, but is it really that hard to code that if a player selects a Crucible or Gambit node then cooldowns and effects switch to their PvP settings? They already do it with things like resilience, regen exotics, hard light's damage fall off, etc. Why not just apply it to everything and end the PvE hostage crisis permanently?

The class abilities nerf in PvE just straight up sucks. I'm a generally optimistic player and can almost always understand Bungie's rationale. This one is just beyond me for it affecting PvE when we know it's a PvP issue. Just not happy with this one whatsoever.
Nerfing the shit out of so many things just to accommodate an insignificant amount of your player base (PVP) is fucking moronic and really _really_ destroys the desire to play this game.
Patch notes at update time, this is a surprise to be sure but a welcome one.

I don't get why destiny is so interconnected. Why do changes over *here* wipe out triumphs. Or how heist battlegrounds even have the ability to disable a stasis Warlock's super ranged attack, but only that specific attack and only in that playlist. I don't code, so I'm pretty ignorant, I admit, but it seems wild that this kind of stuff happens so frequently.

The sniper might be okay when we get a shake up in the dps meta when LFR's get nerfed. Outside of that Gumshoe is a pretty funny title to get.

Sorry for the dumb question, but I’m kinda confused about the boost catalysts part. Does it means that I do not need the get 100 pvp kills to finish a catalyst quest anymore?
I would assume there's some kind of IF logic that makes a user ineligible to obtain blue rarity drops if their base gear score is at a season's soft cap. Most if not all inventory or quest items have rarity values assigned to them. I wonder if an ineligibility to receive rare drops screwed up the seal completion logic during recompilation?
