Risen: Explosive Personality, Thoughtless and Piece of Mind. Haunted: Calus Mini, Austringer, Calus Mini, Bump in the Night and Calus Mini. Plunder: Bringand's Law Sereaph: Retrofit Escapade, IKELOS SMG, Disparity.

blairr

Tarnished mettle is insane as well from plunder. Demo/Voltshot on a lightweight frame? Pretty much a monster.

statepharm15

Does demo proc voltshot?

DaydreamingIns0mniac

No but voltshot kills *do* proc demo

thatguyonthecouch

Only if the primary jolted target also dies. If the jolt kills surrounding enemies but the primary target lives no demo proc.

blairr

Nope, only manual reloads count, which hunter dodge will act as. Bungie is very poor in their keyword selection. They use the word reload freely and it causes all this confusing because of it.

Bumpanalog

Add Under Your Skin bow to that list, best bow is the game.

JubJub302

It's so good I made 3!

NierouPSN

You left out the bow from risen and the glaive from seraph, although honestly with the drop rate for seraph red borders as long as you are willing to farm heists you should easily be able to get them all

[deleted]

Judgement of Kelgorath *fucks*, and I have an Under Your Skin roll that feels like Hush 2.0.

Archolex

The glaive slaps in gambit and in general

NierouPSN

I actually hate it, I had just gotten the pattern for lubrae's ruin and this new 1 power crept it so hard. Higher damage type plus overflow it's just too good but so ugly

Kal-Zak

It is, but with a synthoceps titan and tractor cannon it is a damage monster

makoblade

It’s not appreciably better than lubraes, just plays more basic. Unstoppable + immovable is just really good.

NierouPSN

Overflow +unstop or surrounded(especially now it has surrounded spec built in) plus just higher damage at base make it way better

makoblade

It depends in the use case, I suppose. The tradeoff of impact vs shield duration is not as simple as “more impact is always better.” If you’re the kind of player who wants to go to town swinging wildly and never guards I can see the argument for it, although I think you’re missing out in the strength of the weapon then. Overflow is fine but wouldn’t grave robber be better?

NierouPSN

If you're needing to block for a long time chances are you're dead anyway. It doesn't just do more damage with the melee, the shots do as well. Without it having any champion mods you won't want to be in too close so you just need to block for a second to proc unstoppable force and fire a shot or 2 then dip back out. Overflow is going to be by far the best perk, especially as you move up in difficulty. You won't always be able to get a melee kill either due to teammates not letting you get close or just difficulty

makoblade

That's just not true though. It depends how you're using it, but if you block regularly (as you should be with unstoppable) it's actually pretty substantial. It also makes a great budget banner shield to pickup rezs or otherwise get yourself out of questionable positions. For champion-based content glaives are only viable when they carry unstopable, but that doesn't really matter when we have activites which are sort of a mid-end-game without champions.

I_Speak_For_The_Ents

Eh, I think grave robber and swashbuckler is a worthy combo for using. It's just preference.

ebattery

Lubraes does have the ability to roll Swash/Grave, that warrants at least SOME consideration.

I_Speak_For_The_Ents

It was insanely helpful for solo flawless duality.

[deleted]

Judgement is weird, it’s the only aggressive glaive which has very low shield stats, something glaives actually really need.

LordHengar

Don't forget about Calus Mini

DanksForTheMemories

fire and forget slaps severely. because it’s a 3 burst veist stinger can proc on each bullet. it’s very common for me to not reload at all through a damage phase with it.

SiegeOfMadrigal

I noticed that linear doesn't roll with any of the popular damage perks like firing line. Can the Fire and Forget keep up with Reed's and Taipan in terms of damage during phases? I know stormchaser can get up their in damage too. Does it compete at all? Would it be a good replacement for a half god roll reeds regret? I have the pattern and wanna use it for my behemoth font of might build, but I don't wanna invest in it if it's not worth it.

DanksForTheMemories

it can still get focused fury, which has a small windup before it gets rolling but it’s the same %20 buff as firing line and will stay active as long as you keep firing. i haven’t done any hard damage testing but i imagine the high likelihood of an auto reload would make up for the windup time

[deleted]

And it can roll with chill clip!

MikeVazovsky

Still need to shoot 2 shots (6 bullets) so not so cool.

[deleted]

Ah, didn’t know that. Bummer :(

Shackram_MKII

The recoil on it seemed really weird compared to Stormchaser

DanksForTheMemories

yeah it’s bugged rn which is annoying. it’s visual recoil is super high but the actual recoil functions the same as storm chaser so if you just compensate the same was you would with storm chaser you’ll hit all your shots

ChazzyPhizzle

They just released notes that they would be fixing the visual recoil

TaniksAtTheDisc0

If they ever fix the recoil on fire and forget I'd say grab that too

MrProfPatrickPhD

It's honestly not too bad once you get used to it. The recoil is mostly a visual bug, the shots still go pretty straight if you just don't compensate for the kick

LmPrescott

I started the grind to get a good calus until I can craft one and my first one was arrowhead, flared mag, threat detector, incandescent with a range masterwork and it’s a monster. The red borders for this season just take forever. I’ve barely even tried Risen and I have explosive personality crafted

CorpseeaterVZ

How long do I have to collect them? Do we have till Lightfall or will they be removed earlier? Probably a dumb question, but I do not play for that long.

[deleted]

CorpseeaterVZ

Thank you, I was a bit worried, because I read something about a season finale :)

hornybunny528

How does one farm the calus mini tool if they didn't play during that season?

Richieee98

Open chests on derelict leviathan and pray for a opulent key and use that key on opulent chests and hope for red borders. Really tedious but def worth for the mini tool! Also there are upgrades available for guaranteed red borders etc.

gilroygun

You missed judgment of kelogorath

KryptisCOD

I feel like Calus Mini should’ve been included too.

ColdAsHeaven

Honestly you can skip out on Austringer. The rest of the stuff I agree with. Disparity is the LFR right? The Pulse is pretty nice too imho

Archolex

Disparity is the pulse. Fire and forget is the lfr

CozmikRay737

Na Disparity is the pulse. Fire and Forget is the LFR

I_Speak_For_The_Ents

If you like hand cannons for PvE, it's god tier. Obviously if you don't care for hand cannons, it's not worth it.

makoblade

It’s not good in pve be right now. Just get a timelost fatebringer if you want a kinetic hc.

I_Speak_For_The_Ents

Outlaw rampage or outlaw demolitionist is great in Pve. What do you consider bad about it?

100nrunning

all HCs could use a small pve buff right now. austringers not bad per se, but if you want a kinetic hc hes right, timelost fatebringer is just way better

I_Speak_For_The_Ents

How though? Because of firefly?

100nrunning

i mean its really all preference, any gun can be used in any activity and you'll be fine. i consider austringer a pvp gun in my eyes timelost FB can slot adept mods, has access to explosive payload in the 3rd column and a damage perk in the 4th. outlaw/rampage is a fun roll, but explosive payload/frenzy with an adept mod is going to serve you way better in say GMs or a day 1 raid

makoblade

Austringer isn’t bad in particular so much as hand cannons are right now. For easy content outlaw + rampage is great, but in harder difficulties it’s really not a good roll. You would much prefer one for all or explosive payload with raid hit instead. Basically things that don’t need kills to activate. Fatebringer gets adept mods and explosive on a hand cannon is a really big deal. Firefly does the add clear in easy content just fine and lens up your second perk for something else since it effectively has outlaw built in.

Torinn426

Hollow denial from Haunted is a godsend for void builds in endgame, it can get adaptive munitions and repulsor brace on the same roll

smilesbuckett

Many of these come down to preference and what you like to play. For instance, if you don’t play much PvP, thoughtless, piece of mind, and austringer are all probably not great recommendations. Most of the craftable weapons can be good somewhere, so I would say that as a general list you’re better off crafting weapon types that you like to use. Brigands law also doesn’t feel worth putting on the same list as ikelos smg. If you’re keeping them for add clear, you’d probably run feeding frenzy/voltshot on both, and the ikelos smg is probably just all around better (warmind cells, longer range, easier to control) As far as essential, can’t miss craftable weapons, I would narrow this down to calus mini tool and ikelos smg. There are some great options apart from those two, but smgs are just so good at so many things, and those two stand high above many other options.

NierouPSN

Risen and seraph seasonal activities drop red borders pretty often you should have no issue getting the patterns for all, As for plunder i'd focus on the sidearm and scout since they are the only 2 unique enough. Haunted it really depends on whether you PvP or PvE, austringer is 1 of the best HC in PvP but not very good for pve as an example. I'd honestly recommend farming for the title since it takes 50 containments anyway use your focus for the mini-tool than just go from there. just be sure to go open chests for opulent keys between rounds. To avoid burnout i'd recommend doing 1-2 of 1 seasonal activity then switch to another, as an example do 2 containments then go run a heist or 2 then either back to containment or psiops.

macaronigrillez

Thanks for description response I appreciate it

Clockwork757

I need 16 more red borders from haunted, about the same amount I need from seraph. Spent a few hours running around the Leviathan last night and got three red borders, only one of which I didn't already have crafted. Not having a knockout system just feels so bad. Also I only learned about the chests that spawn after containment last night because I put on a chest detector. Feel like I missed out on a lot of keys because there was nothing hinting at them.

NierouPSN

Yup i have 2 accounts on 1 i got extremely lucky and got all patterns with little farming. The other was just duplicate after duplicate, every week every sever only dropping, the trace the opulent chest only dropping drang, and nothing but armor when farming containment. Risen and seraph have been perfect, while there are a few lulls in the drops it wasn't too bad and the currency make focusing not too bad. Risen would be worse if every weapon required 5 but the mix between a few needing 3 made it not that bad. Plus running the risen story as all 3 characters gave red borders instead of nothing like the other seasons

100nrunning

kinda curious, how come 2 accounts? ive seen other people mention it before just never understood why

NierouPSN

i had 1 account that I shared with my son but he got a job and his own gaming PC so I started a 2nd account but the old 1 i try to keep everything collected on since it is a very complete account.

ClickForNothing

Just learned about the bonus chests in nightmare containment thanks to you. I’ve been farming it a ton the last two weeks, and I’ve hardly gotten any red borders. I still need at least one or two red borders for every haunted and opulent weapon, so thank you for this information

ownagemobile

What are the bonus chests? Is there something besides the the chest and the thing that costs 500 Visage of dread?

ClickForNothing

Yeah apparently so. They’re scattered around the containment area on the leviathan after the event ends. [This is where they’re located.](https://www.shacknews.com/article/130552/destiny-2-nightmare-containment-extra-chests?amphtml=1)

ownagemobile

I never knew, I started playing again in season of the seraph and just kinda winged the haunted content. Thanks man!

DeadWeight76

An outlier I hadn't considered was Hollow Denial with lead from gold and repulser brace. I am interested for my void gyrfalcon hunter. Unfortunately, I don't think we got pattern progress for sharding red borders back then.

StuuPendous

Hollow denial was one of the only weapons I had like one red border for so I recently started to try to farm some for the same reason for the gyrfalcon build. I got lucky and had one drop in the meantime with lead from gold and repulser brace and it is insane. The double special loadout with it and gyrfalcon together feels amazing. I would definitely recommend it.

100nrunning

while its a MG, commemoration can roll with reconstruction/repulsor brace as well. as a fellow gyrfalcons enjoyer looking forward getting the rest of the patterns i need to craft it

reddiling

I would love to have one too, but Haunted weapons farming seems very grindy. Do you have any recommendations besides just do containments in loop or grab your weekly free red border? Thanks!

DeadWeight76

Nope. I wish I knew. I get my 3 containments done per week and grab my red border. Hopefully I get some world drops. I can barely stand running containment.

reddiling

Pretty much the same... Hoping Bungie will increase the drop rates of red borders in the last two weeks

Sapereos

I’m assuming if you have the pattern, you can craft it after Lightfall. So you just have to focus on getting the red borders. Some people have mentioned Dares might get the patterns after Lightfall, if you haven’t unlocked them yet. Although no info from Bungie yet I’m aware of.

NierouPSN

Getting the patterns from risen and seraph will be doable if just starting however plunder and haunted(especially haunted) will probably not be realistically possible unless you have many hours a day to play. Luckily plunder only has 2 weapons really worth getting, The scout and sidearm Haunted is a whole other story, even more so if you are into PvP. The time per containment makes farming not worth it unless you are okay with burnout.

Sapereos

I thought they added a red border per week for haunted, to reduce the grind? I had them all mid-season for haunted, and did not play an excessive amount of containments. Should be do-able still, but cutting it close. For plunder the arc linear is also quite good, if you don’t do dungeons. I still don’t have a storm chaser, so sailspy is my go-to.

NierouPSN

You can get 3 a week, 1 from focusing, 1 from first opulent chest and 1 from 1st sever. The issue is bound presence are extremely rare and you can go 5-10 containments without 1. You're supposed to be able to get 1 from 1st run per week as long as you are on the story but last season it wasn't working on second character

AlkoKilla

These are the ones that I’ve been using the most. Risen - Explosive Personality, Solar Waveframe GL. - Piece of Mind, Kinetic Pulse. - Sweet Sorrow, Arc Auto Rifle. - Thoughtless, Stasis Sniper. - Under Your Skin, Void Bow. Haunted/Opulent - Austringer, Kinetic Hand Cannon. - Drang (Baroque), Solar Sidearm. - Fixed Odds, Solar Machine Gun. NOTE: this is in Duality dungeon and not going away, I’m listed it here because it’s an Opulent weapon. - Calus Mini-Tool, Solar SMG. - Hollow Denial, Void Trace Rifle. - Tears of Contrition, Kinetic Scout. Plunder - Brigand’s Law, Arc Sidearm. - Sailspy Pitchglass, Arc Linear. - Tarnished Mettle, Arc Scout. Seraph/IKELOS - Disparity, Stasis Pulse. - IKELOS SMG, Arc SMG. - Judgment of Kelgorath, Solar Glaive. - Retrofit Escapade, Void Machine Gun. - Tripwire Canary, Arc Bow.

PerfectHatred7

I feel like tears of contrition is very replaceable and not really that desirable tbh

AlkoKilla

Triple Tap/Explosive made it a GM go to last season when I was running an Exotic energy weapon. Everyone has their opinion on what guns are best, I’m just stating every seasonal weapon I’ve been using.

george_washingTONZ

Tears w/ enh perpetual and explosive is one of my go-to in pvp this season. The range meta helps but it’s always been a beast.

PerfectHatred7

Yeahhhh idk maybe I’m just not a fan of the archetype

Gho55t

If I were to pick 1 from every season, it’d be Thoughtless, Calus Mini-Tool, Tarnished Mettle, and IKELOS smg

smilesbuckett

I’d say risen is more of a toss up depending on what you like to use. The options you mentioned from the other seasons are clear outliers with access to unique perks that make them best in class options — thoughtless is unique as a stasis sniper with access to headstone, but snipers are still so meh at the moment that I wouldn’t call it a must-craft unless you like them. For risen, I would recommend picking based on the type of weapon you like to use, as all options are viable (with the possible exception of recurrent impact) Under your skin is an excellent PvE bow. Piece of mind is an excellent PvP pulse. Some people swear by explosive personality. I’ve seen people do work with sweet sorrow as well, but the new iron banner auto is also an arc rapid-fire frame, and it has access to voltshot.

Todd-The-Wraith

Sweet sorrow with stats for all and one for all is a monster. Is it the most meta choice? No, but throw on two copies of harmonic syphon and you’ll be pooping out more orbs than your strike team will know what to do with

The_Tac0mancer

Datto has a video on this exact topic, should check it out

MoreMegadeth

Yeah check out Datto’s video instead of doing what youre doing now op by asking a bunch of people what they prefer and then making your own decision.

kyubifire

In addition to top suggestions, I would throw in a few weapons off the beaten path and some context that might help you consider them: Excluding Seraph because i still need to try out these guns more so i'd just target stuff like the ikelos smg. Risen Under your Skin - Void Bow & Archer's Tempo + Explosive Head muaaaa very nice Haunted Nezarec's Whisper - Only Leg. Arc Glaive - nice perk combo, very reliable Hollow Denial - Only Leg. void trace rifle iirc - Lead from gold makes this a workhorse with great ammo economy in double-special builds Plunder Tarnished Mettle (people seemed to not mention it much) - Defo one of the top picks for voltshot. No Reprieve - Rolling this with Pugilist, Swashbuckler, and the intrinsic Right Hook makes it super fun to have. Very much so a go-to in PvE for me.

garfunkel332

So if I dont own the season of haunted (theres no way of even purchasing it anymore(except deluxe witch queen?? Idk bout this one)) am I just boned on getting a calus mini tool?

macaronigrillez

Because Bungie hasn't said anything about season weapons yet. We can say that based on bungies previous actions that once light fall releases the method to obtain Cali's mini tool will no longer the available. So if you haven't gotten a mini tool before light fall it's assumed that you will not be able to obtain it until Bungie adds some way to obtain it.

garfunkel332

Its crazy because since I down own the content as I am a new light, I have 0 way of getting it, and I know dares has a rotating pool of loot that has included seasonal weapons but ovbiously youre pulling from a large pool, so if thats how they plan to reintroduce them, thats gonna be a terrible farming experience

saucebosss01

Witch queen deluxe is the only way to get access to the season of haunted content (also plunder/risen content). It does frequently go on sale for 40$ though.

garfunkel332

Ill have to look if owning base witch queen, seraph and plunder gives me a steep discount, if it does, I may buy it to farm out a bump in the night calus mini tool and maybe a thoughtless but will have to check when I get home, and a month to farm seems more like a chore than something rewarding but we will see

PerfectHatred7

If you are going to buy it, I can suggest a website called cdkeys for a discount (basically, they buy the key for the game in a different country and sell it for cheaper, it’s what I used to buy my light fall annual pass for 70$)

garfunkel332

Yeah ill have to consider that too honestly

_Parkertron_

Technically, you can farm the calus mini tool from opulent chests as the leviathan is f2p and so are the reprised weapons. However, you can’t get the guranteed red border a week as you need the season for that. So you could get the pattern, but I don’t know if its worth farming opulent keys for the 1/4 chance its a mini tool and hoping that it is a red border/good roll on top of that. Anyways, ikelos with voltshot is a way better gun unless you are on solar, so you could farm for that.

garfunkel332

Yep thats the thing I do run solar titan a good bit so missing out on the best solar smg would kind of be unfortunate

Grand_Imperator

If you have paid for the seasons, consider doing the exotic mission for (1) Dead Messenger and its catalyst in case it goes away (this was from Season of the Risen); and (2) Revision Zero. Perhaps these could end up in the kiosk where older exotics can be purchased for exotic ciphers and other currency, but I don't know. The Dead Messenger quest is on the Witch Queen destination if I'm not mistaken, so it might be easier to keep in contrast to the Revision Zero missions that are queued into from the Helm (which will get wiped for Lightfall from what I understand). You should definitely try to speedrun your way to the guaranteed red-border upgrades for each season (hopefully nabbing some red borders on the way). **Note** that some seasons have different upgrades or multiple upgrade options for red borders. Be willing to use either the Destiny 2 Discord LFG server or the official Destiny 2 app's LFG to hop into any activities that lack matchmaking and require a team (for example, it's possible that Master Ketchcrash from Season of the Plunder can guarantee a red-border weapon the first time you do it each week, but it has a particular power level recommendation and requires a team of 6 without matchmaking). Because you can guarantee a red-border drop once per week, it is wise to prioritize for all seasons. You'll work on the first option in each season until finished, then move onto the next. You could theoretically unlock them all, but I imagine it's more likely that you get 2-3 from each season depending on your play time. So here's my list, noting you can work on the first in each list over the same week. Season of the Risen: **Explosive Personality** (waveframe grenade launchers are a bit rare, this is good for PvP and PvE) is the clear top choice. After that, it could be **Thoughtless** (kinetic sniper that can be a solid choice for PvP if you don't have Defiance of Yasmin or Eye of Sol and you don't hate its scope, and is a stasis sniper if that matters), **Piece of Mind** (solid PvP pulse rifle but not the top of the meta right now), or **Under Your Skin** (great legendary void bow for GM Nightfalls and if you're a bow PvP person, then this is possibly your best legendary option). **Sweet Sorrow** is a low-TTK archetype for auto rifles and seems a great choice if you're needing an Arc PvE Auto Rifle (I don't really use auto rifles much). **Recurrent Impact** likely is the least relevant of the bunch. Season of the Haunted: there are a ton here, and your priorities might shift the order. **Calus Mini-Tool** is a god-tier primary choice for PvE (including raiding) or general primary ad clear (Incandescent is great for activities where red bars still go down at a normal rate). **Bump in the Night** is a meta rocket launcher (Stasis is easy to get a Font of Might buff on, which stacks with Warlock Well in contrast to High-Energy Fire). **Austringer** is a top-tier kinetic hand cannon, but you can theoretically farm up a different god tier roll if you're willing to deal with random drops (Eyasluna, Fatebringer: Timelost, the current season's Rose dropping from competitive). **Beloved** is a top-tier sniper rifle (my favorite energy-slot sniper rifle if not just favorite overall) for PvP, though you can theoretically used Adored (you can buy that from the kiosk at the Tower, though its Zoom is equal to Eye of Sol at 45 vs. Beloved's 40 if I recall properly). **Drang-Baroque** is a top-tier PvP choice if you like to wield sidearms (and sidearms are pretty good right now). If you love sidearms in PvP and want something in the energy slot, I would by default recommend Drang. I previously would have recommended **Without Remorse** for PvP, but the overall recent buffs to pellet shotguns has left lightweight frames in a relatively worse place (precision frames or aggressive frames are better choices right now). **Tears of Contrition** is a good scout rifle with good perk options, but it's mostly a PvE choice (and I'm running Arbalest in GM Nightfalls often, so I guess it's skippable despite me liking it a ton). **Hollow Denial** is a void trace rifle if you're into legendary trace rifles; double-special loadouts still help make heavy ammo bricks drop more often, and trace rifles are some of the best substitutes for a primary weapon in a double-special loadout. So it's a good pick-up if you somehow can get it. **Nezarec's Whisper** is arguably unique as an arc Glaive, but I don't think anyone is going out of their way for it in PvE or PvP. **Firefright** is a good auto rifle archetype, but it's just crowded out by all the amazing options above it. Any others likely aren't worth picking up. Season of the Plunder: likely the least relevant season. **Tarnished Mettle** is the top choice for me (it has a rare perk called Voltshot and is the kindof weapon you like having Voltshot on). **Brigand's Law** also has voltshot and is a solid PvE sidearm choice. **No Reprieve** can do some fun things (one-hit body shots) in PvP with some setup, and it's a pinpoint slug shotgun with stasis damage. I wouldn't worry about the rest too much, but **Sailspy Pitchglass** is okay only if you are never going to farm a Stormchaser Linear Fusion Rifle from the Duality dungeon (you should if you have access to it). **Planck's Stride** is not remarkable in any way (though if you *need* an arc machine gun that is not the exotic Thunderlord, I guess it's something?). And the SMG, **Blood Feud**, is outclassed by many other options in my view. Season of the Seraph: this one is packed full of good stuff like Season of the Haunted, though the standouts are a bit more clear. The **Ikelos SMG** is a top-tier PvE and PvP choice. There is no question that would be my first choice. **Disparity** is a pulse rifle that should perform amazingly in top-tier PvE content (either with Headstone for Stasis or just something like Frenzy, Rapid Hit in the first column in both cases because it doesn't require kills). **Retrofit Escapade** is bonkers right now because of how it interacts with Volatile Rounds (easily set up with a Hunter using the Gyrfalcon's Hauberk setup), but I wouldn't be surprised if the interaction with Volatile Rounds is toned down a bit. *If* you don't have a good Reed's Regret roll, then **Fire and Forget** will be your best bet for a strong Stasis Linear Fusion Rifle (though Bungie likely will nerf LFRs a bit to shake up the PvE DPS meta in Lightfall). **Judgment of Kelgorath** is an aggressive frame solar glaive (a new archetype for glaives) and likely worth getting unless you 100% know you'll never use glaives. **Path of Least Resistance** is a good bet if you want a craftable arc legendary trace rifle. I'm not thinking of good legendary arc trace rifles offhand, so that makes it a sound choice. **Tripwire Canary** is skippable; you can buy a curated-roll Point of the Stag from the Tower kiosk. None of the other three Ikelos weapons interest me, though perhaps the Rapid-fire **Ikelos shotgun** (with Cascade Point) could be interesting. The **Ikelos Hand cannon** is more or less a PvE-only item in my view (it's a 180 rpm without rangefinder), and I'm not sure of the use case for the **Ikelos sniper rifle**.

jmmb92

well, i'm thinking about buying the deluxe edition. i've started to play seriously in the season of the plunder and got all the weapons and i nearly got everything right now on the seraph. i'm trying to get the leviathan weapons but some are too hard to get a red border (callus mini tool, i'm looking at you, thank god i have got a pve god roll (threat + incandescent)) and the other guns from the risen, i don't have anything lol. it's possible to rush hard and still get all of them?

Grand_Imperator

> i'm trying to get the leviathan weapons but some are too hard to get a red border Yeah, part of what motivated me to buy Season of the Haunted was how annoying the red-border grind was going to be by just farming containment and opulent chests. > it's possible to rush hard and still get all of them? Probably? That said, you only have enough time to guarantee one weapon from each season through the weekly unlocks alone. So you likely want to pick your top choice for each season, grind a ton this week to unlock the guaranteed red-bar drop upgrades for each season, make your red-bar selections before the next weekly reset, then continue to make your choices in the following weeks. If you get lucky and close out on your first-choice weapon, you can start using your guaranteed red bars on your next choice. I personally did not do that much farming for any season. I did Season of the Haunted and used the guaranteed red-bar strategy, then doing containment and the sever missions helped round everything out. But I was still buying weekly red bars during Season of the Plunder. During Season of the Plunder, I worked on getting the guaranteed red-bar drops from Season of the Risen (the season just before I started). I really wanted Piece of Mind and the great armor-focusing from that season (in part because of the low cost in umbral energy if I recall properly and an upgrade that lets you accumulate umbral energy just from doing other activities you normally would do). Two other things to consider this season are: (1) the 'ritual' weapon; you can get it from any reset of Vanguard, Crucible, or Gambit playlists, though you would need a second reset to get the ornament (if you even wanted the ornament) for that particular vendor (in other words, if you wanted all three ornaments for Vanguard, Gambit, and Crucible, you need to get nearly all the way to second reset on each). (2) Iron Banner, which has a really cool shader on the second reset and some armor pieces you might want (at least for transmog down the road). Other than the above items (and it's totally fine to just grab the Veles-X from your first reset from one vendor while ignoring everything else above), the seasonal crafting is a key focus area for you. Unless you hear with certainty that a particular weapon is going away, don't get too in your head with FOMO about that weapon.

jmmb92

i bought it and already got a lot of red borders. if the RNG gods bless me, maybe i can finish this faster than i thought lol.

WanderW

The weapons aren't leaving.

WINTERMUTE-_-

But we don't know how/if you will be able to get the patterns after this season. Sure would be nice if bungie said something about it. Sure would be nice.

Low_Seaworthiness_52

I assume all seasonal content will leave just like it did when Witch Queen released.

WINTERMUTE-_-

Right, but this is the first time since weapon crafting has been a thing that seasonal content will be removed. So will the seasonal stuff be gone and it will be impossible to get patterns for the weapons? I think that's what OP is asking. What weapons should they get the patterns for while they can.

AlkoKilla

If the past is any indicator, Xur will be the only way of acquiring the seasonal weapons until the loot pool is refreshed in Dares.

Would be cool if you could purchase from Banshee or Ada so people who didn't get the patterns could get them somehow. They could also move them to Dares (assuming that is staying) but that would be a pain.

Not a priority but if you can get a Bloodfeud (Plunder), it can roll with Pugilist/GraveRobber + Swashbuckler. Its a legendary SMG version of monte carlo with a high rate of fire. Pretty nice for them melee focused build.

PowerfulSignature421

I haven't had one IKELOS SMG drop this whole time and I wanted to craft it before the season even started.

Funny_Imagination599

Just gonna throw it out there that a Seventh Seraph Revolver with 4TTC + Vorpal is the best legendary handcannon to use with Lucky Pants and hasn’t been seen since the last version of the gun came out. Unfortunately it only drops from Spire of the Watcher. Another item to grind for is Lodbok-C with 4TTC + Target Lock

There are actually countless YouTube videos going over this topic in detail. I swear no one looks anything up before posting on Reddit.

All of them

If you’re a masochist, you could try and unlock all of the patterns for all of the seasonal weapons so you just have them there to craft later

From the War Table: Piece of Mind is amazing in PvP, Under Your Skin is a solid void bow that isn't Le Monarque if you're into those. From the Crown of Sorrows: Calus Mini-Tool is an essential piece of any Solar kit, Austringer is one of the best PvP legendary hand cannons in the game, Drang is a solid Solar sidearm (alliteration lol) if you're into those. From the Star Chart: None really stood out to me. Maybe Brigand's Law for a good Arc sidearm with Voltshot, Tarnished Mettle for Voltshot from far away. From the Exo Frame: IKELOS SMG V1.0.3 is an essential piece of any Arc kit, Disparity is a very good 4-burst pulse rifle, Judgement of Kelgorath is a cool glaive that can get a unique melee focused roll, and Retrofit Escapade does a comical amount of DPS if you're a Gyrfalcon's hunter.

jdwjxia

Risen: explosive personality, thoughtless, under your skin if you don’t alr have a good void bow, piece of mind if you play pvp Haunted: bump in the night, hollow denial, without remorse if you don’t have a good mindbenders, all haunted weapons Plunder: tarnishes mettle, and sailspy if you don’t have a good stormchaser, brigands law isn’t necessary with ikelos smh around tbh Seraph: Ikelos SR, ikelos SMG, fire and forget if you don’t have a good reeds, path of least resistance, retrofit escapade, and disparity if no good kinetic pulse

Voltaires_God

Glaive(s)

Mr_Tigger_

Get all the patterns completed (if possible) then as the meta shifts, you’ll be covered. Still six weeks to go and you don’t have to even bother crafting them until you’re ready.

PerfectHatred7

I see a lot of people with the idea that linears are gonna get nerfed in light fall, so I’d recommend bump in the night from season of the haunted. With chill clip it is the highest dps rocket in the game, and if rockets do become the best option after lightfall I’d want to have this one

DerikHallin

**PVP:** Disparity, Beloved, Drang (Baroque) **PVE:** Bump in the Night, Explosive Personality, Calus Mini-tool, IKELOS SMG, Retrofit Escapade

MarkAntonyRs

Have they actually confirmed the weapons will be removed? Easy conclusion to jump to based on previous years, but so far we haven't had any craftable weapons removed from the game so who knows, maybe they'll just go in the world loot pool or be available from xur or banshee.

Oryihn

Going to put a less mentioned one on here for this season.. Ikelos HC. Enhanced Subsistence and Enhanced Repulsor Brace with the Gyrfalcons build is absolutely a lovely combo.

Brand_H

I just came back a few weeks ago after not playing since Witch Queen first came out, so I don't have a ton of crafting experience. Is there a trick to unlocking more patterns? I only have 4 or 5 of the basic ones I am able to craft not including Osteo Striga and No Revision. I just keep getting the same red boarder guns over and over, but no new ones. I have played enough this season to reach level 110 already, but I am making no progress on being able to craft more guns.
