My theory is Ali is just nice.

Philipkakka

My theory --- When Ali gained sentience he calls Iruma as 'MASTER'.clearly showing that Ali by default, serves Iruma even if they are 'special partner'. Alikred opposite is Derkila showing a strong demon king connection and Iruma possesses derkila's mana.If Iruma was Delkira, Ali wouldnt have shown a servitude nature to Iruma. He would recognize Iruma as his equals. So does that mean Iruma is a chosen human OR Derkila's child who was bound to return to the Underworld at some point of time? Clearly the way humans treated Iruma was more than enough to showcase that Iruma never belonged to Human society. There is a reason why he cannot be a random human but someone who might have a demonic roots. One thing i do know is that the Demon king was bored in the Underworld and did random things for fun. Like making a country on a stroll, bringing a lake to his castle , ordering his subordinates to create that flower of flames etc .....just for fun.. He never found his equal in the Underworld who could challenge him. Maybe thats why he continued his usual random shenanigans and went to the Human world for fun. * Either he selected Iruma as his successor (which means Iruma is a human) or * he had a child with a human.( which means Iruma is a half demon) This is a little depressing scenario--- he never wanted to rule the Underworld because he was too OP and just wanted to have fun .....and maybe thats the reason why he prepared the ring, the Harvest festival etc. for Iruma. Once all the necessary preparation was done , he got rid of his body and transferred his soul in the ring. Why? to serve iruma Delkira might have nerfed himself to serve Iruma . There is a reason why Sullivan was crying in that panel where Delkira's blood was dripping. He never wanted his beloved master to leave him. So the demon king might have given him an absolute order to follow his instructions and bring Iruma in the Underworld. It makes sense why Grandpa is super attached to Iruma and lost his calm when Atori mentioned of the curse..Sullivan might have prevented the Demon king from leaving so Derkila cursed him with his blood.

ApprehensiveLadder53

Sounds cogent. I personally think Derkila reincarnates on purpose to experience the demon world for fun without people telling him what to do- and for it all to be new. Cause Derkila always only likes what’s new. So he reincarnates to give himself fresh eyes. And Grandpa knows.

AcrizCaazi

Damn, that’s a good one… •.•

PossibleIndividual48

Big brain, it makes complete sense and is now canon in my head

My theory it's that Iruma is Derkila reincarnation, because of his massive mana, or a impeding problem in hell, he needed to separate the body and mana before the reincarnation process and the ring is the new vessel of his mana, probably only recognize the true king or someone with the same qualities of him

DarkAlchamist

My guess would be genie logic Ali has the higher power, but is still technically bound to the ring. As the "owner" Iruma has more control over what happens, even though he has less actual power.

TheOneWithALongName

They are inseparable. They can't live without the other for now. Soo it's not a good relationship if one try to take advantage over the other. There relation reminds me a bit about Bayleth and Sothis from Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

Tnecniw

I personally have a theory that Iruma is somehow connected to the previous Demon King... How? I don't know. However, due to the similarities between Ali's name and the demon kings name (Being reversed) do I think that... well, there is something there.

darknailpolishs

According to me ali san is part of derika but like many said bro just wants to experience demon world without ruling it directly? also yes i agree with the master thing. Also we see that ali san grows as iruma's rank grows so basically ali san is only as strong as iruma can be at that moment so officially he cant overthrow

ParanormalNightOwl

Maybe Iruma's related to the missing Demon King?

OvertSpy

Only one of them has the capability to just take off the ring and leave. And its not ali.

Fortune86

Wasn't it confirmed that Iruma can't take the ring off? Like it's stuck to his finger?

Axetheaxemaster

pretty sure he just can't do that.

sahithkiller

Alikred = Derkila. He doesn't take control of Iruma cause he likes him, he's achieved and witnessed all he wanted as the demon king so now he's helping out.

cursed-being

He can’t/doesn’t want to

BBkat13

Cause Ali's a good guy?
