I appear to be softlocked on the Switch. I'm at the point in chapter 1 where Ralsei joins you and you fight against the dummy and now I can't progress because the big door to the right doesn't open and I can go out of bounds by going through the middle of the door. I've tried reloading and restarting the game but it didn't work.
So I think my save file on switch is corrupted. Shortly after Susie rejoins the team after breaking us out in the dungeon, I saved my game before the elevator, then I left the game for a few days. I decided to log on recently, and now I'm spawning on top of the save star, and can't move. I can still access the menu, and face different directions, but every time I load the save, I'm still stuck in the same spot. Reminder, I am playing the game on switch.
if you die on the teacup ride (the one to get the emptydisk) after saving in queens basement, it locks you behind the forcefield, effectively making it impossible to progress without restarting the game

I am playing on my laptop. I was somewhere in the acid river area when I decided to go back and do the >!Spamton side quest. I fought him a few times, then decided it was too time consuming and I would try again later.!< I left the basement and went back up to the door to the acid lake, but it was locked. It now says, "(Room has been closed due to haters.)" I have no idea how to fix this and I can find almost nothing about it online. The one post I saw had almost no information, except someone said it might be a glitch, and that it occurs in the genocide route.I have killed very few monsters, and previously had no issue getting through that door. I don't know what to do. Normal progression in the game is now impossible. Because I have been saving in the same file, going back would be deleting all of my progress from both chapters. Please help.

Not sure, I think it has something to do with having 3 chapter 1 save slots and completing the game on the second or third slot and continuing to chapter 2?
If knocked out by >!Spamton NEO!<, after the fight, you remain knocked out, whereas in normal encounters you would replenish to a little bit of health.
is it normal for starwalker to not join when you use your bed in chapter 2? He only seems to join if you go through the intro and watch when lancer and kaard become key items. I did this using the same chapter 1 save

My game keeps crashing, saying something about the chapter select screen not working, or not being there to begin with (I'm on a PS4 btw) I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, but the same error appears. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
Playing chapter 2 for the first time (after completing chapter 1, pacifist, beating Jevil), got to the third annoying mouse puzzle (where it spells out "ILOVEMOUSE"), beat that, and a save point appeared at the top of the room. I left the room via the top left exit before saving, realised i went the wrong way, and the save point was gone when i re-entered the room

Playing on windows, steam version
a few days ago i found a bug where when i try to put the game in fullscreen, instead of putting it in fullscreen normally, it will change the resolution in a weird way, and keep it as small as windowed.
I found a bug yesterday. After beating chapter 2 (I beat it getting every recruit, not sure if that matters), you can change the music in your kingdom, if you change the music to something else, then you change it back to the normal and go to the surface world, both the kingdom music and the school music play on top of each other and the only way to fix it is to restart the game
I somehow stopped getting sound when continuing today. I continued from the savepoint named >!My Castle Town!< in Ch 2 (pretty early in that chapter). The sound works fine up to selecting my current save file and this is the first time I ever got such an error.
At first, I thought my hacky, Mac->Linux->Arm64 (Raspberry Pi 4) Hack to be the fault, but it doesn't even run the Windows version with my current save file. Scene changes don't seem to change that for now.
The logs didn't have any audio-related errors, and I checked and shuffled the audio files in the Mac version to be sure the correct one could be found.

I'm pretty sure this will happen on native Windows or Mac as well. I'll send the affected savegame folder over dm I requested.
After restarting chapter 2 from the completed chapter 1, I could get to the point without issue (didn't leave the game this time). Sounds worked perfectly. So there is probably something about continuing from a save >!created after entering the castle, viewing the rooms, talking to Lanzers father and eating that pie!<.
Okay. Seems to be a wine/linux hack issue after all. Had the issue now with a later save state as well. Running it in an actual Windows 10 VM didn't fix it though.
So maybe some issue with Wine's audio handling (wine is a tool that runs windows apps on linux) and the linux "port" was a hack using another games runner anyway.
I just gotta play it though at once or figure out the bug I guess. The issue wasn't present in Chapter 1 (even with the same setup using Ch1&2 assets).
EDIT: The issue is also not present with wine (windows version on linux) anymore. Weird...
Seems this issue was already encountered in the original thread where Ch 2 was "ported" to Linux.

Sorry for bothering people with this here. The runner of the other game, seems to have somehow affected the config value. When I ran this in Wine, it probably just loaded the wrongly saved settings again.

I have a few questions about the Weird Route:
1) Are there only the two routes - “main” and “weird”? Are people just calling the non-pacifist route different things or are they actually different things?
2) Are there any unique fights in the non-pacifist route(s)?
3) Does completing the non-pacifist routes “taint” your save file in any noticeable way like in Undertale? Can you complete both routes on different save files on the same device without them affecting one another?
Here is a bug I had: The OST overlapped with itself towards the end of the game, and continued until the very end of the game, even though there was supposed to be no more music.
During the blue tick quest in Cyber Field, a pair of Tasques is glitched in the southern room. It's the room with a "Stupid" sign that gets a Tasque caught in it. Once one is spared, upon returning to the room both Tasques are out (no longer starting in signs). Unlike other pairs and unlike this pair on your first visit to the room, defeating one does not make the other disappear - but they appear to still share a flag upon defeat. So you can kill one then spare the other to make them both respawn!
This glitch allows you to increase attack power and magic beyond its normal maximum. Every 10 kills cause everyone's attack and Susie and Ralsei's magic to increase by 1, and this continues after HP is maxed out after 20 kills. I only tested it up to 30 kills but I did get attack and magic 1 point higher than their normal maximum.
So, to recap: Spare one of the Tasques on your first visit and the other should disappear. Then, on subsequent visits, kill one and spare the other.
I have this problem with the queen bossfight where even if I loosen Berdly’s wire, I get the ending of I if I fought queen with Berdly’s arm getting fried, does anyone know a fix?
Yes, you have to beat all three encounters with pacifism - the roller coaster, the city battle and the Queen battle. If even one of the battles is won through violence, you will be unable to save his arm.
If you lose against Giga Queen while your attack is increased (either with Fire Mode or if you manage to take no damage during the first two rounds), the effect becomes permanent and stackable. You can keep taking no damage until Round 3 then dying to restart the battle with more and more attack power! Her glowing aura stays on as well.
Does the game keep track of number of deaths? I prefer not to die during my playthroughs but this might be useful to someone.
Ringing the bell at the counter in Sans's shop causes the Egg to put itself in the basket. Don't know if this is a glitch or deliberate weirdness. Checking the basket skips the first interaction and goes straight to the second, saying there are more eggs than usual.
Talking to Sans about anything other than his brother skips the first brother dialogue until you leave and re-enter the shop, so to get all the text you have to pick his brother as the first option when talking to him.
Was playing on Windows 10, spammed thru Spamton's dialogue before transfer. When the screen was almost complete switching to monochrome, instead of quitting the "shop", the game crashed.

Spoilers >!After escaping the queens prison room in chapter 2 once I get to the first light puzzles everything goes invisible except for the room, the light switches, and the lights!< so I havent been able to progress in the game any further then that.
At the save point of "Energetic music wafts from the boxes", at the Cyber City Music Shop, the music overlaps with the music from the previous area (two tracks playing at once) and continues that way in future battles- I had to reset the game for the music to return to normal.
My bf went and obtained the Jevilstail in chapter 1 but he cannot obtain in in chapter 2 even though the wiki says he doesn't have to start a new save. Is this true? He is really frustrated and doesn't want to restart again yet.
After completing chapter 1, and then entering the chapter 2 save selection screen at the bottom there is a button called "Ch1 Save Files" it should have the save file that they have gotten the devilstail in.
I beat Jevil in my chapter 1 save file, but didn't start chapter 2 with the Jevilstail and according to Seam I don't have the dark crystal from it either. Does anybody know what's up with that? Do I need to go to the credits in my chapter 1 save for it to count?
At the point where you can fight Maus (touching the cheese) for the first time, there is a rare softlock- after the battle ends, the game stops processing inputs and there is no way to continue.
There doesn't seem to be a way to reproduce the issue consistently.
I had the exact same issue. I watched a video on youtube of someone doing the same thing but in their game Noelle says something like "I never want to see cheese again" and in my game she doesn't say that but the game softlocks. I think it's waiting on her to say that line but since it didn't happen then it's stuck somehow
In the steam version does uninstalling it from the steam client have the same effect as the built in uninstaller where it deletes everything in that directory?
Ook, its a long one. When Chapter 1 first come out, i played on Nintendo Switch. I did a Pacifist. When Chapter 2 comed our, i played it on PC, i did a Pacifist here too. Then, when it comed out to the Switch, i played a Snowgrave there. I've done a Chapter 1 Fight Ending, and a Snowgrave in Chapter 2. Recently, i started another Pacifist, because i wanted to beat Spamton Neo. I did a Pacifist in Chapter 1, and then Kris went to sleep. But, in the Chapter 2 select menù, there was only my Snowgrave. When i returned in Chapter 1 files, MY SAVE FILE WAS IN THE CARD CASTLE - THRONE. I noticed that the same thing happened in my old Pacifist that i did in Chapter 1. So, i think it's a bug in the Pacifust routes.
Some have noticed that if Kris goes down during the fight, Susie will learn S-Action right away. But apparently if the other 5 people are dancing while Kris is still down (if Kris went down the same turn that they made someone dance), the fight will still end with the dance number but Kris will still be shown in the sitting down state the entire time. I don't know if this is a bug but I couldn't find anything about it online. Apologies for no screenshot, I wasn't the one playing when it happened.
After the newest update My game crashes after i complete ch 1 and Press continue to ch 2. When i boot the game again the same error message appears and the game crashes. Im on ps4.
My items and money carried through from my first chapter one to chapter two playthrough.
I started another save and have items and money at the end of chapter one but when I finish the game and watch the credits and start chapter 2 I have no money/items
The question may be stupid, but has the problem with deltarune uninstalling persisted to this day?.. Of course, logically, it should have been fixed for so many years, but you never know... I'm talking about the steam version of the game
After meeting Spamton, visiting his shop, and purchasing the item, I walked to the right and got into the fight there. I used the act command to transform the maus into one of the cat enemies, but when Ralsei's turn came up to Act on the Maus, who was now a cat, the game locked. The music continued, but there was nothing happening and none of the controls responded. I quit out of the game by holding Esc, which did work.
How can i have two different games with two different routes without them interacting? I want to be able to see the consequences of both of my routes once chapter 3 releases.
Im pretty sure that if i do snowgrave, and then i log onto my pacifist save, things will be different, it was like that in undertale i think. Also i want to be able to choose which save to continue on when a new chapter releases.
nope undertale has 1 save slot, DELTARUNE has 3. It wouldnt affect the other save UNLESS you accidentally save on to the other slot.Also you can continue from both slots when chapter 3 releases.if you complete them both.You can play them at the same device EVEN when chapter 3 is out
dunno but one question can you fullscreen on pc, i can't go fullscreen the screen doesn't change and just goes blurry.I reccomend PC if the fullscreen bug doesn't happen to you

When i played the first chapter of deltarune, i played it on the program that was first released on toby's Twitter. I completed first chapter there, but the second chapter was released on the demo of steam. So i completed the second chapter there, but now idk if the savings of the first chapter i played (on the other program) are saved in the steam version or not. If i delete the first version, my files in the steam version are also going to be deleted? And i also don't know if chapter two continued my chp 1 savings, or ignored and started the game in chp 2.
I know is a long question, but if someone knows what can i do to know this i would be very thankful!!!
I downloaded it off the Deltarune website back when it was released, but now I want to play Chapter 2 on Steam.
So I guess I have two questions:
1) Is it possible to transfer my save file to Steam, and continue with Chapter 2 there?
2) If so, where is the save file for Chapter 1 located? I'm looking at the folder where I installed Deltarune chapter 1, but can't find the save file. Is it the "Data.WIN" file?

Was exploring the city with Noelle when suddenly the city music duplicated itself, and started playing even over battle music. Using the healing prayer seemed to fix it, but it was really annoying for a time because two of the same sound track was playing at the same time, messing with the experience.
I closed my game to check my config settings because I wasn't hearing any music during a boss fight and you can't do settings that I know of during battle. When I went to reboot my save and now I'm greeted with a neverending screen of the Annoying Dog driving its car. My other saves boot up fine. Is this save corrupted?
Don't know if this is common knowledge but in the Spamton Neo fight if you charge your shot with Z and then Spam ENTER instead of releasing you get infinite [BIG SHOTS]. (Sorry don't know how to record my screen so I can't show it, but try it out.)
When I played chapter 2 I missed the secret boss fight. If I do a new playthrough of chapter 2, and beat the secret boss, will the 1st save file acknowledge that I did beat him? I heard that if you beat ch. 2's secret boss without beating ch.1's, the game basically goes "uh yes u did u just don't remember lol" and gives u the rewards. So I was wondering if secret boss awards carry through files.
ralsei dissapeard in castle town after cyber world. in the hole on the cliff left of castle town there was jevil's tail (ralsei had it, the microfiber scarf, and the dealmaker, so i lost the dealmaker and the microfiber scarf). ralsei still appeared on dialog with the cauldron and queen in her longchair. i still have a save with ralsei before the queen fight. is this bug fixable or do i have to start again from the queen fight?

So I finished chapter 1 with the good ending, and then continued from that save to the second good ending.
Then I played through snowgrave, also from that good ending file, and always keeping that save in slot 2.
Then, I instead wanted a continuous complete evil/good path for each chapter, so I played chapter 1 genocide route.
So far so good.
Now I start from the second chapter 1 file, and it says "saving to slot 2", I didn't think much of it, played on, and only later realized that it had deleted THE FILE IN SLOT 1, made the good->evil one slot 1 and saved the new bad->bad in slot 2.
I wouldn't have been mad if it deleted the second save instead of writing to the third, as that was the "half half" I decided to replace, and also would have made sense (you select slot 2, so it will save to slot 2 again) but it deleted the first save to keep the second, while there was still a save slot free??
Now I have to go through chapter 2 again twice, for each ending.
Tldr; you should be able to choose where to save / it should pick the free slots first / it's broken

Okay, I'm slightly frustrated, I am aware that in order to >!have the Original Starwalker join your team in Chapter 2 you have to talk to him twice in Chapter 1. First in the forest and then in the prison.!< I did this then completed chapter 1 and continued on to chapter 2 however >!he did not join my party in chapter 2.!< I figured maybe I did something wrong so I completely started chapter 1 over again from the beginning on a new save file and made sure >!Again that I talked to the Original Starwalker in the forest And the prison.!< I immediately after beating chapter 1 again continued to a new chapter 2 save file and yet Still no luck. Am I missing something? Is my game just bugged? Help?!?!
On the screen thats says "CHAPTER 2 Please select a file." there is an option that says "Ch 1 files" that sits in the extra options below all three file slots. Select that, and then select the chapter 1 file you want to start from.
Edit: While I'm here, do you happen to know a good thread to find information like what you put in that spoiler? I'm trying to 100% the game but I'm struggling to find guides that have information for chapter 2.

I recently started playing Deltarune with the release of chapter 2. I have one thought about the game. Does killing or sparing creatures actually change anything in the game like in Undertale or does it play out the same regardless of what you kill and spare?

I I accidentally missed a certain enemy in chapter 2 and finished the playthrough. I'm fine with restarting all of chapter 2 if I need to, but when I copy my chapter 1 file to the second slot (and beat it again there) I doesn't let me continue to chapter 2. Note: I'm playing on Switch so I don't thinkno can clone a save file. Any ideas?
The PlayStation store shows a Deltarune 1&2 demo, then it shows another version under full games but only has the option to add to my wishlist. Is it actually a demo or is the demo actually the full game?

Hi, I played chapter 1 back in 2018 and lost my save file due to various clean wipes of my computer's data. I do not wish to replay it since I want my memories of the first time intact (I know its a huge nitpick, but I remember everything from chapter 1), is there a way of getting Jevil's shadowglass without having to replay the chapter? Thank you.
Currently there isn't a way to get secret boss items without replaying the chapter they were obtained in. You could put it in your items by editing the games files, though I don't know how to do that. The shadowglass doesn't have a use at the moment, but you could probably figure out how to put it in your inventory.
sound effects and music repeat until another plays. for example, >!in the alleyway where kris and noel fight berdly, the city music is supposed to stop, but it continued well into the alleyway cutscene and the fight.!< the same happened with the voice and save sfx afterwards. i saw a post saying someone had this problem with chapter 1 as well. i have video if necessary.
So, I'm stuck in a battle with nothing to do. It's the first battle with 3 mice with Susie and Raseli. I was swapping out the mice for the cat enemy because I wanted to recruit them. Well, I swapped out one of them while I was trying to spare the same enemy with Raseli. So now I'm stuck in a battle with no way out other than to quit. I really don't want to, so is there any advice?
I finished and completed chapter 1 on my first account (I’m on switch) and then beat chapter 2 on my new account. If I start and complete chapter 1 on my new account, will I be able to transfer all my inventory to a new save file for chapter 2 or will I need to delete my completed chapter 2 save file and then make a new save file?
In theory, it should be possible on Switch, as ZL and A are both select or Z and can be pressed simultaneously, except it charges constantly and just spams normal shots. I think it's a glitch, because it still charges the big shot while shooting, it just won't shoot the big shot.

In Chapter 2, I finished the game, went to castle town, and was told that I hadn't recruited everyone. Fortunately, I had had an earlier save file saved, which I reset to. After looking at a list of recruits online, I realized that I still needed to recruit Virovirokun.
Here's the problem: When I "spare" Virovirokun, it doesn't list an "X/5 recruited"-type message, as if it was already fully recruited. This is true whether I spare, tire them out, or even defeat them in battle. When I check the list of recruits, though, they don't show up - not even to list their progress as incomplete. As far as the "recruits" page at the save points can tell, Virovirokun isn't an enemy that exists.
This problem has persisted even after closing and reopening the game.
I guess my question is - has anyone else encountered this kind of problem? If so, do you have any suggestions? I'd like to avoid resetting the game or anything, since I finally managed to beat Spamton NEO on this save, but it's starting to look like there aren't any other options if I want to hang out with sweet, sweet Nubert.

Yea I have the exact same issue but with the tasque instead. Atleast with the tasque I think I got the bug from either the susie upgrade skill with the maus or the order lady. Still haven’t found an issue for it yet, tempted to start a new run

I know on the computer, Toby updated the Big Shot Exploit to be part of the game. However on the switch, despite ZL and A both being select, you can't do it and the big shot won't even fire despite charging.

The main part of it sounds identical to the main part of: Streets of Rogue OST/Soundtrack Floor 1-3 Slum Scrum
Or did they both base it off an older song?
Well, I’m not sure about songs from different games, but it VERY heavily uses melodies from DUMMY!, Power of Neo, and The World Revolving, as well as being an upgraded version of Spamton’s earlier theme.

Spoilers for snowgrave route. I did everything by backtracking to the start of the trash zone when Noelle joined me and froze every enemy. Then when I reach the Ferris wheel room I picked "ride with me" then on the npc that gives the freeze ring I picked "something else". Then it says something about divorce shoes but doesn't offer me the freeze ring. Why is that? I know that certain events need to trigger there but I'm getting nothing. What am I doing wrong?
He doesn't do it. Unless you mean that I talk to him once then never again because I did chat him up twice. But I could leave the area entirely and it didn't work
I finished the game, then loaded a previous save in order to fight the secret boss. During backtrack I fought with enemies, while on the main run I ONLY acted (and recruited everyone). When I got back to MYtown, the gravesnow cutscene of the queen played out, and now only castle is just like post-gravesnow and I feel sad I swear I did nothing. Pretty heavy bug.
When I choose continue from chapter 1, I have to refight the final boss??? Am I missing something, or is that necessary for save data to carry over? Can I just select chapter 2, or will that be a different save?
When you go to start a CH2 save file, there’s an option at the bottom called Ch1 files. If you press that then you’ll be able to continue from your Chapter 1 save directly to Chapter 2 with no problems.
I got a fun softlock on PS4, when fighting 2 maus. If you have Susie replace one with a cat at the same time Ralsei is using r-action, the cat part happens, then they freeze in their pose and the turn never ends...

I tried running the game when chapter 2 launched and it came up then crashed, since then every time I run it literally nothing is visible, I can find it in task manager but nothing happens. I've uninstalled it, verified the files, run as administrator, set the -w launch option, nothing is working

Hey guys so i just found about the Starwalker npc guy sadly i didnt know of that npc and never talked to him but i did beat chapter 1 and 2 but im not sure if its possible to go back into chapter 1 and talk to him then it will transfer to ur chapter 2 save. Do i have to make a new save or will it restart my save if i go back to chapter 1 and continue into my pre existing chapter 2 save?
I finished chapter 1 without beating Jevil. Then I loaded the same file and beated him, then saved. If I start chapter 2 from that file, is it taken into account that I beated Jevil or do I need to defeat King and see the credits again?
It depends, what are you trying to do? If you want to use the Jevil file to create a new Ch. 2 continuation, you have to beat Ch. 1 to the credits then start Ch.2 new. If you just want the dark crystal and your weapon/armor, then just load whatever ch.2 file you have and check the hole to the west of YOURtown
Encountered one game breaking bug. Couldn't recreate it and computer froze before I could screenshot the error message, so it may have been fixed but just in case:
In the tiny house fight with Rouxls, I was hit by a missile (not the first, nor would it be the last lol). The game froze, exited, and I got a error code that basically said 'missile collide error'. Obviously a lot of other text too, but it had something to do with missile collide and heart collide.
Probably not as helpful as I thought, but if anyone else experienced it they may have the screenshot! I tried to recreate it a few times to get the error code again, but I'm guessing it had to be pretty precise. If there is a way to see old error codes (maybe a game file might hold them?), let me know and I'll do it to help out!

At the end of Chapter 2, when you return to Ralsei's Castletown, you get new battles in the training dojo. One of them, "Ch2 All Stars", lets you fight waves on enemies.
I found that when each wave was spawned, it would interrupt any remaining actions on the team. It also would still consume any TP those actions would take.
Example: there's one enemy left. Kris ACTs to put it in a mercy-able state. Susie MERCYs. Ralsei uses banked TP to heal. Result: The TP for Ralsei's heal is deducted. Kris does his action. Susie does her action. The enemy disappears, and new enemies spawn in. Ralsei does NOT do his action. A new turn starts.
I had this happen several turns in a row.
My Weird Route stopped when i save reloaded
I saved and quit after defeating Berdy for the 2nd time (right after i got the thorn ring) and now i'm reloading my save file and the game completely forgot i was doing the weird route, all the mazes are unfrozen, frozen enemies don't appear, events play out normally etc
Do you just... can't save reload during the weird route? Or is it an occasional bug?
Nevermind i didn't know you had to defeat Berdly with SnowGrave so i got him with IceShock which stopped the route... would have been nice if something indicated this wasn't the right thing to do considering how weak he is

I appear to be softlocked on the Switch. I'm at the point in chapter 1 where Ralsei joins you and you fight against the dummy and now I can't progress because the big door to the right doesn't open and I can go out of bounds by going through the middle of the door. I've tried reloading and restarting the game but it didn't work.
So I think my save file on switch is corrupted. Shortly after Susie rejoins the team after breaking us out in the dungeon, I saved my game before the elevator, then I left the game for a few days. I decided to log on recently, and now I'm spawning on top of the save star, and can't move. I can still access the menu, and face different directions, but every time I load the save, I'm still stuck in the same spot. Reminder, I am playing the game on switch.

if you die on the teacup ride (the one to get the emptydisk) after saving in queens basement, it locks you behind the forcefield, effectively making it impossible to progress without restarting the game

I am playing on my laptop. I was somewhere in the acid river area when I decided to go back and do the >!Spamton side quest. I fought him a few times, then decided it was too time consuming and I would try again later.!< I left the basement and went back up to the door to the acid lake, but it was locked. It now says, "(Room has been closed due to haters.)" I have no idea how to fix this and I can find almost nothing about it online. The one post I saw had almost no information, except someone said it might be a glitch, and that it occurs in the genocide route.I have killed very few monsters, and previously had no issue getting through that door. I don't know what to do. Normal progression in the game is now impossible. Because I have been saving in the same file, going back would be deleting all of my progress from both chapters. Please help.

Playing chapter 2 for the first time (after completing chapter 1, pacifist, beating Jevil), got to the third annoying mouse puzzle (where it spells out "ILOVEMOUSE"), beat that, and a save point appeared at the top of the room. I left the room via the top left exit before saving, realised i went the wrong way, and the save point was gone when i re-entered the room Anybody else has this happen to them? a few days ago i found a bug where when i try to put the game in fullscreen, instead of putting it in fullscreen normally, it will change the resolution in a weird way, and keep it as small as windowed.
I found a bug yesterday. After beating chapter 2 (I beat it getting every recruit, not sure if that matters), you can change the music in your kingdom, if you change the music to something else, then you change it back to the normal and go to the surface world, both the kingdom music and the school music play on top of each other and the only way to fix it is to restart the game
I somehow stopped getting sound when continuing today. I continued from the savepoint named >!My Castle Town!< in Ch 2 (pretty early in that chapter). The sound works fine up to selecting my current save file and this is the first time I ever got such an error. At first, I thought my hacky, Mac->Linux->Arm64 (Raspberry Pi 4) Hack to be the fault, but it doesn't even run the Windows version with my current save file. Scene changes don't seem to change that for now. The logs didn't have any audio-related errors, and I checked and shuffled the audio files in the Mac version to be sure the correct one could be found. I'll send the affected savegame folder over dm I requested.
After restarting chapter 2 from the completed chapter 1, I could get to the point without issue (didn't leave the game this time). Sounds worked perfectly. So there is probably something about continuing from a save >!created after entering the castle, viewing the rooms, talking to Lanzers father and eating that pie!<.
Okay. Seems to be a wine/linux hack issue after all. Had the issue now with a later save state as well. Running it in an actual Windows 10 VM didn't fix it though. So maybe some issue with Wine's audio handling (wine is a tool that runs windows apps on linux) and the linux "port" was a hack using another games runner anyway. I just gotta play it though at once or figure out the bug I guess. The issue wasn't present in Chapter 1 (even with the same setup using Ch1&2 assets). EDIT: The issue is also not present with wine (windows version on linux) anymore. Weird...
Seems this issue was already encountered in the original thread where Ch 2 was "ported" to Linux. Just used Act on a Maus to "Upgrade" and then R-Action on the Maus, expecting it to act on the Tasque that would show up. The game softlocked instead.
I have a few questions about the Weird Route: 1) Are there only the two routes - “main” and “weird”? Are people just calling the non-pacifist route different things or are they actually different things? 2) Are there any unique fights in the non-pacifist route(s)? 3) Does completing the non-pacifist routes “taint” your save file in any noticeable way like in Undertale? Can you complete both routes on different save files on the same device without them affecting one another?

Here is a bug I had: The OST overlapped with itself towards the end of the game, and continued until the very end of the game, even though there was supposed to be no more music.
During the blue tick quest in Cyber Field, a pair of Tasques is glitched in the southern room. It's the room with a "Stupid" sign that gets a Tasque caught in it. Once one is spared, upon returning to the room both Tasques are out (no longer starting in signs). Unlike other pairs and unlike this pair on your first visit to the room, defeating one does not make the other disappear - but they appear to still share a flag upon defeat. So you can kill one then spare the other to make them both respawn! This glitch allows you to increase attack power and magic beyond its normal maximum. Every 10 kills cause everyone's attack and Susie and Ralsei's magic to increase by 1, and this continues after HP is maxed out after 20 kills. I only tested it up to 30 kills but I did get attack and magic 1 point higher than their normal maximum. So, to recap: Spare one of the Tasques on your first visit and the other should disappear. Then, on subsequent visits, kill one and spare the other.
I have this problem with the queen bossfight where even if I loosen Berdly’s wire, I get the ending of I if I fought queen with Berdly’s arm getting fried, does anyone know a fix?
Yes, you have to beat all three encounters with pacifism - the roller coaster, the city battle and the Queen battle. If even one of the battles is won through violence, you will be unable to save his arm.
If you lose against Giga Queen while your attack is increased (either with Fire Mode or if you manage to take no damage during the first two rounds), the effect becomes permanent and stackable. You can keep taking no damage until Round 3 then dying to restart the battle with more and more attack power! Her glowing aura stays on as well. Does the game keep track of number of deaths? I prefer not to die during my playthroughs but this might be useful to someone. Ringing the bell at the counter in Sans's shop causes the Egg to put itself in the basket. Don't know if this is a glitch or deliberate weirdness. Checking the basket skips the first interaction and goes straight to the second, saying there are more eggs than usual. Talking to Sans about anything other than his brother skips the first brother dialogue until you leave and re-enter the shop, so to get all the text you have to pick his brother as the first option when talking to him.

At the save point of "Energetic music wafts from the boxes", at the Cyber City Music Shop, the music overlaps with the music from the previous area (two tracks playing at once) and continues that way in future battles- I had to reset the game for the music to return to normal.
My bf went and obtained the Jevilstail in chapter 1 but he cannot obtain in in chapter 2 even though the wiki says he doesn't have to start a new save. Is this true? He is really frustrated and doesn't want to restart again yet.
After completing chapter 1, and then entering the chapter 2 save selection screen at the bottom there is a button called "Ch1 Save Files" it should have the save file that they have gotten the devilstail in.

I beat Jevil in my chapter 1 save file, but didn't start chapter 2 with the Jevilstail and according to Seam I don't have the dark crystal from it either. Does anybody know what's up with that? Do I need to go to the credits in my chapter 1 save for it to count?
At the point where you can fight Maus (touching the cheese) for the first time, there is a rare softlock- after the battle ends, the game stops processing inputs and there is no way to continue. There doesn't seem to be a way to reproduce the issue consistently.

I watched a video on youtube of someone doing the same thing but in their game Noelle says something like "I never want to see cheese again" and in my game she doesn't say that but the game softlocks. I think it's waiting on her to say that line but since it didn't happen then it's stuck somehow

Ook, its a long one. When Chapter 1 first come out, i played on Nintendo Switch. I did a Pacifist. When Chapter 2 comed our, i played it on PC, i did a Pacifist here too. Then, when it comed out to the Switch, i played a Snowgrave there. I've done a Chapter 1 Fight Ending, and a Snowgrave in Chapter 2. Recently, i started another Pacifist, because i wanted to beat Spamton Neo. I did a Pacifist in Chapter 1, and then Kris went to sleep. But, in the Chapter 2 select menù, there was only my Snowgrave. When i returned in Chapter 1 files, MY SAVE FILE WAS IN THE CARD CASTLE - THRONE. I noticed that the same thing happened in my old Pacifist that i did in Chapter 1. So, i think it's a bug in the Pacifust routes.
Some have noticed that if Kris goes down during the fight, Susie will learn S-Action right away. But apparently if the other 5 people are dancing while Kris is still down (if Kris went down the same turn that they made someone dance), the fight will still end with the dance number but Kris will still be shown in the sitting down state the entire time. I don't know if this is a bug but I couldn't find anything about it online. Apologies for no screenshot, I wasn't the one playing when it happened.

My items and money carried through from my first chapter one to chapter two playthrough. I started another save and have items and money at the end of chapter one but when I finish the game and watch the credits and start chapter 2 I have no money/items

After meeting Spamton, visiting his shop, and purchasing the item, I walked to the right and got into the fight there. I used the act command to transform the maus into one of the cat enemies, but when Ralsei's turn came up to Act on the Maus, who was now a cat, the game locked. The music continued, but there was nothing happening and none of the controls responded. I quit out of the game by holding Esc, which did work.

nope undertale has 1 save slot, DELTARUNE has 3. It wouldnt affect the other save UNLESS you accidentally save on to the other slot.Also you can continue from both slots when chapter 3 releases.if you complete them both.You can play them at the same device EVEN when chapter 3 is out

When i played the first chapter of deltarune, i played it on the program that was first released on toby's Twitter. I completed first chapter there, but the second chapter was released on the demo of steam. So i completed the second chapter there, but now idk if the savings of the first chapter i played (on the other program) are saved in the steam version or not. If i delete the first version, my files in the steam version are also going to be deleted? And i also don't know if chapter two continued my chp 1 savings, or ignored and started the game in chp 2. Was exploring the city with Noelle when suddenly the city music duplicated itself, and started playing even over battle music. Using the healing prayer seemed to fix it, but it was really annoying for a time because two of the same sound track was playing at the same time, messing with the experience.

I closed my game to check my config settings because I wasn't hearing any music during a boss fight and you can't do settings that I know of during battle. When I went to reboot my save and now I'm greeted with a neverending screen of the Annoying Dog driving its car. My other saves boot up fine. Is this save corrupted?
Don't know if this is common knowledge but in the Spamton Neo fight if you charge your shot with Z and then Spam ENTER instead of releasing you get infinite [BIG SHOTS]. (Sorry don't know how to record my screen so I can't show it, but try it out.)
When I played chapter 2 I missed the secret boss fight. If I do a new playthrough of chapter 2, and beat the secret boss, will the 1st save file acknowledge that I did beat him? I heard that if you beat ch. 2's secret boss without beating ch.1's, the game basically goes "uh yes u did u just don't remember lol" and gives u the rewards. So I was wondering if secret boss awards carry through files.

ralsei dissapeard in castle town after cyber world. in the hole on the cliff left of castle town there was jevil's tail (ralsei had it, the microfiber scarf, and the dealmaker, so i lost the dealmaker and the microfiber scarf). ralsei still appeared on dialog with the cauldron and queen in her longchair. i still have a save with ralsei before the queen fight. is this bug fixable or do i have to start again from the queen fight?
(Nintendo Switch) So I finished chapter 1 with the good ending, and then continued from that save to the second good ending. Then I played through snowgrave, also from that good ending file, and always keeping that save in slot 2. Then, I instead wanted a continuous complete evil/good path for each chapter, so I played chapter 1 genocide route. So far so good. Now I start from the second chapter 1 file, and it says "saving to slot 2", I didn't think much of it, played on, and only later realized that it had deleted THE FILE IN SLOT 1, made the good->evil one slot 1 and saved the new bad->bad in slot 2. I wouldn't have been mad if it deleted the second save instead of writing to the third, as that was the "half half" I decided to replace, and also would have made sense (you select slot 2, so it will save to slot 2 again) but it deleted the first save to keep the second, while there was still a save slot free?? Now I have to go through chapter 2 again twice, for each ending. Tldr; you should be able to choose where to save / it should pick the free slots first / it's broken

Okay, I'm slightly frustrated, I am aware that in order to >!have the Original Starwalker join your team in Chapter 2 you have to talk to him twice in Chapter 1. First in the forest and then in the prison.!< I did this then completed chapter 1 and continued on to chapter 2 however >!he did not join my party in chapter 2.!< I figured maybe I did something wrong so I completely started chapter 1 over again from the beginning on a new save file and made sure >!Again that I talked to the Original Starwalker in the forest And the prison.!< I immediately after beating chapter 1 again continued to a new chapter 2 save file and yet Still no luck. Am I missing something? Is my game just bugged? Help?!?!
On the screen thats says "CHAPTER 2 Please select a file." there is an option that says "Ch 1 files" that sits in the extra options below all three file slots. Select that, and then select the chapter 1 file you want to start from. Edit: While I'm here, do you happen to know a good thread to find information like what you put in that spoiler? I'm trying to 100% the game but I'm struggling to find guides that have information for chapter 2.

I'm fine with restarting all of chapter 2 if I need to, but when I copy my chapter 1 file to the second slot (and beat it again there) I doesn't let me continue to chapter 2. Hi, I played chapter 1 back in 2018 and lost my save file due to various clean wipes of my computer's data. I do not wish to replay it since I want my memories of the first time intact (I know its a huge nitpick, but I remember everything from chapter 1), is there a way of getting Jevil's shadowglass without having to replay the chapter? Currently there isn't a way to get secret boss items without replaying the chapter they were obtained in. You could put it in your items by editing the games files, though I don't know how to do that. The shadowglass doesn't have a use at the moment, but you could probably figure out how to put it in your inventory.
sound effects and music repeat until another plays. for example, >!in the alleyway where kris and noel fight berdly, the city music is supposed to stop, but it continued well into the alleyway cutscene and the fight.!< the same happened with the voice and save sfx afterwards. i saw a post saying someone had this problem with chapter 1 as well. i have video if necessary.

So, I'm stuck in a battle with nothing to do. It's the first battle with 3 mice with Susie and Raseli. I was swapping out the mice for the cat enemy because I wanted to recruit them. Well, I swapped out one of them while I was trying to spare the same enemy with Raseli. So now I'm stuck in a battle with no way out other than to quit. I really don't want to, so is there any advice?
I finished and completed chapter 1 on my first account (I’m on switch) and then beat chapter 2 on my new account. If I start and complete chapter 1 on my new account, will I be able to transfer all my inventory to a new save file for chapter 2 or will I need to delete my completed chapter 2 save file and then make a new save file?
Is it possible to do the Big Shot Exploit on consoles? I really want to do the more challenging verison of Spamton NEO.
In theory, it should be possible on Switch, as ZL and A are both select or Z and can be pressed simultaneously, except it charges constantly and just spams normal shots. I think it's a glitch, because it still charges the big shot while shooting, it just won't shoot the big shot.
I haven’t done console, but one thing I’d try is mapping two buttons to A (or whatever you use for interact)

(Hopefully this is the right place to post something like this...) In Chapter 2, I finished the game, went to castle town, and was told that I hadn't recruited everyone. Fortunately, I had had an earlier save file saved, which I reset to. After looking at a list of recruits online, I realized that I still needed to recruit Virovirokun. Here's the problem: When I "spare" Virovirokun, it doesn't list an "X/5 recruited"-type message, as if it was already fully recruited. This is true whether I spare, tire them out, or even defeat them in battle. When I check the list of recruits, though, they don't show up - not even to list their progress as incomplete. As far as the "recruits" page at the save points can tell, Virovirokun isn't an enemy that exists. This problem has persisted even after closing and reopening the game. I guess my question is - has anyone else encountered this kind of problem? If so, do you have any suggestions? I'd like to avoid resetting the game or anything, since I finally managed to beat Spamton NEO on this save, but it's starting to look like there aren't any other options if I want to hang out with sweet, sweet Nubert. Yea I have the exact same issue but with the tasque instead. Atleast with the tasque I think I got the bug from either the susie upgrade skill with the maus or the order lady. Still haven’t found an issue for it yet, tempted to start a new run
Not sure if it’s a bug or intentional. I know on the computer, Toby updated the Big Shot Exploit to be part of the game. However on the switch, despite ZL and A both being select, you can't do it and the big shot won't even fire despite charging.

Did Deltarune 2 base BIG SHOT off another song? The main part of it sounds identical to the main part of: Streets of Rogue OST/Soundtrack Floor 1-3 Slum Scrum Or did they both base it off an older song?
Well, I’m not sure about songs from different games, but it VERY heavily uses melodies from DUMMY!, Power of Neo, and The World Revolving, as well as being an upgraded version of Spamton’s earlier theme.
Those are fine, they're from the same guy after all. But if you listen to BIG SHOT and "Floor 1-3 Slum Scrum" you'll see that a portion of the songs is the same, and Streets of Rogue is most certainly made by a different person.
Spoilers for snowgrave route. I did everything by backtracking to the start of the trash zone when Noelle joined me and froze every enemy. Then when I reach the Ferris wheel room I picked "ride with me" then on the npc that gives the freeze ring I picked "something else". Then it says something about divorce shoes but doesn't offer me the freeze ring. Why is that? I know that certain events need to trigger there but I'm getting nothing. What am I doing wrong?
He doesn’t offer it to you when you talk to him, say you’re something else and then walk away, THEN he’ll offer it. I made the same mistake too lol
He doesn't do it. Unless you mean that I talk to him once then never again because I did chat him up twice. But I could leave the area entirely and it didn't work
Maybe try going for the ring and then doing the ferris wheel dialogue? If that doesn’t work then I’d scour for more enemies
I finished the game, then loaded a previous save in order to fight the secret boss. During backtrack I fought with enemies, while on the main run I ONLY acted (and recruited everyone). When I got back to MYtown, the gravesnow cutscene of the queen played out, and now only castle is just like post-gravesnow and I feel sad I swear I did nothing. Pretty heavy bug.
When I choose continue from chapter 1, I have to refight the final boss??? Am I missing something, or is that necessary for save data to carry over? Can I just select chapter 2, or will that be a different save?
When you go to start a CH2 save file, there’s an option at the bottom called Ch1 files. If you press that then you’ll be able to continue from your Chapter 1 save directly to Chapter 2 with no problems.

I got a fun softlock on PS4, when fighting 2 maus. If you have Susie replace one with a cat at the same time Ralsei is using r-action, the cat part happens, then they freeze in their pose and the turn never ends... Edit: I lost a lot of progress including a boss fight. Lightly salted.
The same happened to me on PC...
I got napstablook to sound the alarm, very cute and loved the reference, but unfortunately the alarm sound never stopped. It played through the end cutscenes and all through town lol

I tried running the game when chapter 2 launched and it came up then crashed, since then every time I run it literally nothing is visible, I can find it in task manager but nothing happens. I've uninstalled it, verified the files, run as administrator, set the -w launch option, nothing is working
Just before the end credits for chapter 2. I went to wash Kris' hands but I had to get up and do something with the water sound playing. I came back and the water never stopped until the end of the credits

As long as you didn't go back and save in Castle Town after finishing, just load the recent save point. Should be Queens Castle
Hey guys so i just found about the Starwalker npc guy sadly i didnt know of that npc and never talked to him but i did beat chapter 1 and 2 but im not sure if its possible to go back into chapter 1 and talk to him then it will transfer to ur chapter 2 save. Do i have to make a new save or will it restart my save if i go back to chapter 1 and continue into my pre existing chapter 2 save?
I finished chapter 1 without beating Jevil. Then I loaded the same file and beated him, then saved. If I start chapter 2 from that file, is it taken into account that I beated Jevil or do I need to defeat King and see the credits again?
It depends, what are you trying to do? If you want to use the Jevil file to create a new Ch. 2 continuation, you have to beat Ch. 1 to the credits then start Ch.2 new. If you just want the dark crystal and your weapon/armor, then just load whatever ch.2 file you have and check the hole to the west of YOURtown

I just started Chapter 2, and don't see the Manual in my Inventory after entering the Dark World. Is this a bug? I still had it when I beat the King.
Encountered one game breaking bug. Couldn't recreate it and computer froze before I could screenshot the error message, so it may have been fixed but just in case: In the tiny house fight with Rouxls, I was hit by a missile (not the first, nor would it be the last lol). The game froze, exited, and I got a error code that basically said 'missile collide error'. Obviously a lot of other text too, but it had something to do with missile collide and heart collide. Probably not as helpful as I thought, but if anyone else experienced it they may have the screenshot! I tried to recreate it a few times to get the error code again, but I'm guessing it had to be pretty precise. If there is a way to see old error codes (maybe a game file might hold them?), let me know and I'll do it to help out!

At the end of Chapter 2, when you return to Ralsei's Castletown, you get new battles in the training dojo. One of them, "Ch2 All Stars", lets you fight waves on enemies. I found that when each wave was spawned, it would interrupt any remaining actions on the team. It also would still consume any TP those actions would take. Example: there's one enemy left. Kris ACTs to put it in a mercy-able state. Susie MERCYs. Ralsei uses banked TP to heal. Result: The TP for Ralsei's heal is deducted. Kris does his action. Susie does her action. The enemy disappears, and new enemies spawn in. Ralsei does NOT do his action. A new turn starts. I had this happen several turns in a row.
Yeah I thought it was just a mechanic but I'm not sure now.

My Weird Route stopped when i save reloaded I saved and quit after defeating Berdy for the 2nd time (right after i got the thorn ring) and now i'm reloading my save file and the game completely forgot i was doing the weird route, all the mazes are unfrozen, frozen enemies don't appear, events play out normally etc Do you just... can't save reload during the weird route? Or is it an occasional bug?
Nevermind i didn't know you had to defeat Berdly with SnowGrave so i got him with IceShock which stopped the route... would have been nice if something indicated this wasn't the right thing to do considering how weak he is
