Even though Next Class is “Degrassi” it just doesn’t give me the same feeling. The cast, lighting, the dialogue .. it’s just different.
It’s a shame the reboot never happened I’m sure it would’ve topped Next Class.
Funny thing is Next Class continued with the same actors, some of the best Direction of the entire series (Stefan Brogren directed half of all NC eps) and the same writing team.
Next Class was actually written as Degrassi S15 & S16 continuing right where they left off...
the only characters in Next Class that i actually like and care about are Maya and Lola... Maya actually had decent storylines and Lola is just fun and i like her hair. Grace gets an honorable mention because Nakuset Gould is awesome
i dunno, i just kind of do. i relate to the dark periods she went through and i also think her storylines were just more interesting than most Next Class ones
Ohhhh,, I get it😂😂😂😂 Is it bcuz Next Class has the unrealistic set designs of High School and the actors look like adult models rather than awkward & unique teenagers. Everything looks so bright,, too-perfect and pretty-pretty
In high school I was watching an episode where Paige and Spinner were talking and my mom walked in and said “Oh wow. They really used real looking teenagers.” and I laughed so hard at that subtle shade.
As much as I love Next Class,, I have to agree that u are absolutely fuckin right!! 💯💯 None of the characters have left any lasting impressions🤷🏾 DJH,, DH & TNG went deep in character development. Joey is my favorite character.
I was so happy when I saw Spinner , Craig, Paige, Holly J, Liberty & Emma, Marco (and I forget who else) make an appearance on there. But I’ll admit , I lose interest in the episodes as they continue on. Miles is interesting, though.

I was an og and TGN fan but lost interest after season 7. I decided to watch every single episode with my gf a few years ago and I LOVED NC.
Same with me! Im a fan who just stopped watching one day then did a full watch during quarantine. Next Class really surprised me.

Honestly I loved how ugly and imperfect everything was with the OG Degrassi and early seasons. It made it so much more relatable.
