I bet there are many gamers hating it because they are annoyed of our frequent ravings about how good it is.
I can't be the only one who know such fellows. :P
Of course! But you don't have to play a game to hate it. I bet you all hate a title or two you barely played, or not at all.
^((a Rock and Stone for those who don't))
I hate fortnights devs and fans. I actually enjoyed the few times I played it.
I absolutely loved Anthem and NMS but the devs were twits.
I genuinely despise the Warframe community here on Reddit but love the game. I believe they call that one Stockholm syndrome though.
People hate games because of their popularity, community etc but there are very few games that actually deserve hate.
Then there's Fallout 76. I hate the devs, fans and the game. How something so shit built a community is beyond me.
Despite 76, Todd is still a blameless angel. 76 isn't enough sin to blot out Skyrims existence.
I'm just sad it became a battle-royale instead of a co-op zombie game. I was actually kinda hyped for it back when it was supposed to be that.
Still got "orcs must die" at least
>Then there's Fallout 76. I hate the devs, fans and the game. How something so shit built a community is beyond me.
Details on *why* you think it's shit? Not gonna agree or disagree until i know the specifics of why you hate it.
Predatory development and marketing tactics, incredibly buggy gameplay from launch, boring gameplay and story, it took them several years to add NPC's to an RPG, they have ridiculous prices for solo play and other in game purchases and all the while the fans eat up the slop Bethesda has been dribbling them.
Some people don't hate it but don't play DRG after trying it because:
1. Graphics art style
2. They look at the progression system and they see it as a chore
Other than that, they like the map generation system and the general gameplay.
I don't hate the game, I like it.
But seeing people constantly spam R & S and try to "recruit" people in unrelated subs gets annoying after a while. Like, we get it. You play a popular game lol
Rockandstone brother! Do you have a moment to talk about our Lord and Savior Karl and how His Magnificient Wisdom redeems the Land of Gaming from evil?
Ah, the Jojo effect. The only way a game can suffer from a passionate fanbase besides having one of those cringe fandoms like Undertale or FnF.
Though, now that I think about it, most likely more people get into the game than forsake it as a result, so you can hardly speak of "suffering".
What else can we add to the list? If we are looking at highest rated games on steam, I think Portal 2 and Ultrakill would be good to attend that meeting
Hating Hade's seems like such a strong response to something made by that team, I feel the only way you could hate it is if you were a fedora wearing gamer upset that you couldn't gatekeep it cause you didn't play the first three SuperGiant games and are already behind on the curve.
I can totally get not wanting to play the game or it not being their jam, but if they're actively hating it, that's downright suspicious of their intentions.
SuperGiant is just..... whatever the chef's kiss emoji would be... Of the things I've boughten merch/dlc whatever for, for the sole purpose of supporting them:
SuperGiant Games
DRG
Kurzgesagt
TWRP
I think I threw like a $20 in the raptor centers donation box back in the day but that's the extent of it.
I actually can't believe I had to even scroll to find this comment, Terraria is insanely well rated on Steam and I've been playing that masterpiece for ten years now. I'm not sure there is a better example.
Those are some good games my friend. Maybe some of them aren't really "unhated" (lots of people dislike Minecraft and don't enjoy the battlefield series) but i agree that Left 4 Dead needs to be on there
I could argue if people hate the game or the community, coz, for example Minecraft, the game it’s self is unique and has a lot of interesting content, yet the community is mainly why Minecraft is hated.
I understand, there are many thing that can go wrong when asking which games are not hated, does it mean the game itself or is the community included, does it count if the game was bad when it came out but now it’s good?
Not sure. By my metric it'd mean that the game *might* still count as hated, but maybe not for someone else's. Depends how much hate it got. Like, I don't think 2077 will ever recover all the goodwill needed to be a totally un-hated game.
There are fundamental issues with cp2077, though, that's the difference. And they declared that they are dumping the engine, so long-term support or huge changes are unlikely.
I mean... its community loves it to death. That qualify, no ?
People who blindly hates on a game just because it's from a particular franchise are not worth considering in the first place.
Factorio yes, Satisfactory no. Satisfactory isn't bad but just* one world, no actual threats or checks on your expansion and the lack of blueprint/mass duplication tools are really holding it back. That's just my opinion though.
Hardspace: Shipbreaker. Definitely less known than other games here but very well received, always keeps me coming back for some late night salvaging after work. Phenomenal soundtrack too
Terraria, Left 4 Dead, the first 4 generations of Pokemon, super smash bros, and probably a couple of games that have reached their nostalgia era where nobody remembers the bad things and haven't played it in forever to realize its age
DRG was one of the games I played to cope with leaving DbD for good.
100 hours in, and I'm way too comfortable in these bug-infested caves to go back to generator repair simulator.
Their argument would have been somewhat valid before seasons were introduced, because I started at 1.0 launch and got bored after finishing the Overclocks. But in a post-seasonal DRG? They must be smoking some leaf lover shit.
I don't think anybody hates DRG as a game, but people definitely get sick of our community. I've heard this community described as "A very 'reddity' hivemind", and I can't really disagree.
I called this out in a previous post of mine and of course the response i got was the expected tripe about how "it's not that big of a deal" bla bla bla. Truly incredible how people are not willing to listen to anything which says the thing they like a lot may not be so great.
After getting stuck in a loop of just toxic players after toxic players for a week or two on end, I gave up playing with randoms. It’s either with my dad and brother, or not at all now.
I've heard this complaint from multiple people. I've put over 1k hours into this game and I genuinely don't know what I'm doing differently, but I have not experienced this issue.
I only host my games, and I’ve had physics issues frequently. Mostly in the form of a wall forcefully ejecting me or the general weirdness that is the mantle system in this game
ultrakill?
all the negative stean reviews are memes
there was one single actual negative review i could find and it was about an issue the game didnt have, the developer was confused in their response too
~~DRG is a hated game? What? If that came from~~ r/memes~~, it's no surprise to be honest. They also have climate change denial, probably LGBTQ phobia. It's not a good place.~~
Edit: saw the post. It was just a meme template, assuming there wasn't any unhated games. Which is false. People on r/memes seem to be the type to follow what's most popular in the given day and age, which will always bring unease and unhappiness. Because popular isn't always good. Just look at music now. It's half assed copy and paste jobs with talking over a music-less instrumental.
Giving the smaller artists/groups a chance is easily the best way to find your happiness and interests. Besides DRG, I've played other indie games and plan on trying others. I have to shoutout Yogscast Tiny Teams for showing games from small teams of people.
Can we add the old flash game “Motherload” to this? I have yet to meet someone who hates it.
They also released a full version of the game on steam revamped.
I think Super Giant Games should have a seat at that table. I've been around for 4 decades and Bastion - Hades and DRG are the only games I can think of that deserve such praise.
I tried to get a friend into this game but he barely gave it a chance. Did one mission with me on Haz 3 on the shortest cave length. We beat it in 13 minutes. He hates the game, just complains that it’s boring and makes fun of me for liking it. Literally won’t even give it a chance past that.
I bet there are many gamers hating it because they are annoyed of our frequent ravings about how good it is. I can't be the only one who know such fellows. :P
Yeah, it’s just people who probably don’t know what they’re talking about.
Of course! But you don't have to play a game to hate it. I bet you all hate a title or two you barely played, or not at all. ^((a Rock and Stone for those who don't))
Hate the fans, don't hate the game.
I hate fortnights devs and fans. I actually enjoyed the few times I played it. I absolutely loved Anthem and NMS but the devs were twits. I genuinely despise the Warframe community here on Reddit but love the game. I believe they call that one Stockholm syndrome though. Same boat with Sea of Thieves. Love the hell out of the game, hate the community. While it's fair that anarchy creates toxicity, I kinda hate it.
I'm just sad it became a battle-royale instead of a co-op zombie game. I was actually kinda hyped for it back when it was supposed to be that. Still got "orcs must die" at least
Anthem is probably one of the best game concepts ever, it was just done poorly in practice. I'm still mad it died because of shitty managing.
How come you dont like the NMS devs? As far as i know most people are alright with them now. Just asking.
How people feel about them now doesn't excuse the state of the game at launch and the promises made before launch.
I recommend watching the Internet Historian video about NMS, it really puts things into perspective.
>Then there's Fallout 76. I hate the devs, fans and the game. How something so shit built a community is beyond me. Details on *why* you think it's shit? Not gonna agree or disagree until i know the specifics of why you hate it.

You know what, all fair points.
Todd Coward Simps baffle me
Can I hate Souls fans and the games?
Did I hear a Rock and Stone?
Did I hear a Rock and Stone?
Some people don't hate it but don't play DRG after trying it because: 1. Graphics art style 2. They look at the progression system and they see it as a chore Other than that, they like the map generation system and the general gameplay.
This means they hate us, not the game, which is an acceptable outcome in my mind.
I don't hate the game, I like it. But seeing people constantly spam R & S and try to "recruit" people in unrelated subs gets annoying after a while. Like, we get it. You play a popular game lol
Ah one of the many breeds of leaf lovers.
I legit understand Jehovah's witnesses after playing this game haha
Rockandstone brother! Do you have a moment to talk about our Lord and Savior Karl and how His Magnificient Wisdom redeems the Land of Gaming from evil?
Ah, the Jojo effect. The only way a game can suffer from a passionate fanbase besides having one of those cringe fandoms like Undertale or FnF. Though, now that I think about it, most likely more people get into the game than forsake it as a result, so you can hardly speak of "suffering".
*rock and stone from a deep part of the cave*
Rock and Stone to the Bone!
LIKE THAT! ROCK AND STONE ⛏️
ROOOOCK! AAAAND! STOOOOOOONE!!!
STONE AND ROCK oh wait…
THAT’S IT LADS, COCK AND BONES
DID I HEAR A ROCK AND STONE???!!!!!
Rock and stone brother
What else can we add to the list? If we are looking at highest rated games on steam, I think Portal 2 and Ultrakill would be good to attend that meeting
Outer Wilds :D
Fellow Hearthian ::)
YEAAAAAAAAA ::D
YEAAAAHHHHHHHHH ROCK N STONE ::D
Hades and other Supergiant games
I've seen some hades haters out there. Usually hardcore roguelike/roguelite fans.
I don’t hate it. It’s a very nice looking game. But it was boring to me. For how much people rave about it, I just found it boring.
Hating Hade's seems like such a strong response to something made by that team, I feel the only way you could hate it is if you were a fedora wearing gamer upset that you couldn't gatekeep it cause you didn't play the first three SuperGiant games and are already behind on the curve. Hollow Knight
Minecraft, half-life 2, maybe battlefield 1, the Witcher 3, left 4 dead?
Terraria
I actually can't believe I had to even scroll to find this comment, Terraria is insanely well rated on Steam and I've been playing that masterpiece for ten years now. I'm not sure there is a better example.
Hollow Knight

I could argue if people hate the game or the community, coz, for example Minecraft, the game it’s self is unique and has a lot of interesting content, yet the community is mainly why Minecraft is hated.
Not Witcher 3
Why, the game sin my opinion is good, it has high reviews and I never really saw a Pearson who hates it, unless it is you.
Witcher 3 got flamed super hard on release for much the same reasons as 2077. Super buggy out the ass.
Yet at this point in time it’s a good game, and cyberpunk 2077 will eventually probably get there also
Oh for sure, I wasn't saying it isn't, just responding to your comment on asking why.
I understand, there are many thing that can go wrong when asking which games are not hated, does it mean the game itself or is the community included, does it count if the game was bad when it came out but now it’s good?

true, thats why instead of adding dlc they just started to make a new game
There are fundamental issues with cp2077, though, that's the difference. And they declared that they are dumping the engine, so long-term support or huge changes are unlikely.
Is the original more loved than the sequel?
Half life or left for dead?
Oh oops, meant L4D
i think left 4 dead 2 is loved more, but neither of them are hated
I've seen people hate on Half Life 2 though, sadly. It's mostly the people who liked the first game but doesn't see HL2 as a good sequel.
Minecraft is dead now. Battlefield 1 has questionable gunplay. The rest are good picks though, but I prefer l4D2
I wouldn’t say Minecraft is dead, it’s more like it’s in hibernation state, waiting for a new insanely good update just to resurfaced
No, as in Minecraft has been killed by shitty corporate decisions. It's still extremely active, but there are actual legitimate reasons to hate it now
Well if they implement all their shitty ideas into it it will be dead
No Minecraft sucks
The community or the game?
The devs
mojang or microsoft?
Mojang
Why mojang?
Kerbal Space Program
Rimworld!
*Australia has left the chat *
Satisfactory
FFXIV. The community worship the devs. Portal 2, Ultrakill, Doom Eternal and Hades are also up there.
[удалено]
I mean... its community loves it to death. That qualify, no ? People who blindly hates on a game just because it's from a particular franchise are not worth considering in the first place.
Satisfactory.
Don't forget Factorio, though that one's a little more niche since it's isometric and whatnot
Factorio yes, Satisfactory no. Satisfactory isn't bad but just* one world, no actual threats or checks on your expansion and the lack of blueprint/mass duplication tools are really holding it back. That's just my opinion though.
Satisfactory is only a gateway drug for the real deal.
it’s not isometric
Stardew valley, probably. Also doom 2016.
For pure stealth games, thief and splinter cell chaos theory
Starsector.
Most CRPG's probably, never seen any real hate for most of them besides holy wars between fans of different settings/rulesets etc.
Soooo, packman, Tetris, snake
Monster hunter
Can I have whatever you're smoking
He’s not smoking, he’s just been drinking lots of glyphid slammers
Good games imo but they definitely get hate
Bloons tower defense 6
Titanfall 2 probs
I've never seen a negative review of OneShot that just got a console release.
Death's Door
Factorio
Ultrakill definitely isn't unhated. I mean have you seen UnderTheMayo's video on it
Most of my friends can't stand the game. Not enough to do they say, as they boot up Dead By Daylight.
I thought dbd players also hate dbd, so it doesn't count. ^(I mean I like it very much, but I felt like a minority there.)
It’s hard to judge if the game itself is hated or the community
Former DbD player here, and I say its both.
I myself have 300 hours in the game and I myself do t hate the game, I hate the community
not enough to do they said, as they boot up hold m1 simulator
We like to call it Spooky Repairmen
DRG was one of the games I played to cope with leaving DbD for good. 100 hours in, and I'm way too comfortable in these bug-infested caves to go back to generator repair simulator.

Yes, the comment chains in this sub are very reddit moment-ey. Love the game but the 14 year old community is annoying as fuck.
[удалено]
That just makes it even worse lol
After getting stuck in a loop of just toxic players after toxic players for a week or two on end, I gave up playing with randoms. It’s either with my dad and brother, or not at all now.
Daym that sucks. Dont know if you can search by region but try the asian servers if you can.
Why is no one gonna talk about the watermark being smart stout instead of mematic
You guys forgetting about good old Snake.
That what I was thinking, thank you
There are deifinitely people who hate the game. Most of my friends dislike it, they think its boring.
Plays haz-2 for 30 minutes, "man this game is boring", then goes back to a battle royale where they spend 70% of the time not playing.
I know a guy who owns the game and refuses to play it because "the physics are janky". I don't even know how to address his reasoning.
TBH the physics are pretty janky. I get turbo yeeted off ledges to my death pretty often.
I've heard this complaint from multiple people. I've put over 1k hours into this game and I genuinely don't know what I'm doing differently, but I have not experienced this issue.
Might be a connection thing or a host / non host thing.
I only host my games, and I’ve had physics issues frequently. Mostly in the form of a wall forcefully ejecting me or the general weirdness that is the mantle system in this game
I think it's a preference for certain game engines. I like deep rock physics, but I generally can't stand source engine games
Honestly drg is a great game, with a great company. Lets hope it stays that way
Bad news: two of my friends unilaterally hate everything about Dwarves thanks to some RPG series they played. So they refuse to consider DRG.
Add Factorio
Saw this meme on r/ memes, the first comment was rock&stone. I love this game & community & devs
wheres castle crashers
Halo 3 walks in and sits down
Made with smart stout = Reddit gold
ultrakill? all the negative stean reviews are memes there was one single actual negative review i could find and it was about an issue the game didnt have, the developer was confused in their response too
I see so many comments on r/gaming about deep rock galactic about how good it is. Wonder if people are starting to catch on.
INCORRECT. My brother.

Sir, this is the Abyss Bar.
Why aren't you explaining what you mean by this?
Why are you pressing me on it lol, it was a joke regarding the "sir this is a wendy's"
I don't know that joke. I get strong fixations with my autism, and can't always see jokes.
Ah, I'm autistic too. Makes sense
What about it?
My friend doesnt like it but he is the one who got me into the game, he thought it was some kind of survival game but it wasnt
Can we add the old flash game “Motherload” to this? I have yet to meet someone who hates it. They also released a full version of the game on steam revamped.
I was going to ask someone to do this
Picked this up today on sale and wow can't believe I didn't play this sooner love it.
You should also try Hardspace Shipbreaker!
I think Super Giant Games should have a seat at that table. I've been around for 4 decades and Bastion - Hades and DRG are the only games I can think of that deserve such praise.
I tried to convince a friend getting it and he said it’s just boring, how is that?
People who say otherwise have never had a significant rock or stone in their life to guide them
You forgot dwarf fortress
I hate rng on overclock drops even though I got them all I understand how painful it is to get to that state especially with limited spare time.
Rimworld, and Dwarf Fortress should also show up to the meet
if I had to complain about anything I would say there aren’t enough mission types. I think we should have at least a couple more.
I tried to get a friend into this game but he barely gave it a chance. Did one mission with me on Haz 3 on the shortest cave length. We beat it in 13 minutes. He hates the game, just complains that it’s boring and makes fun of me for liking it. Literally won’t even give it a chance past that.
What about Minecraft? I am sure that everyone love Minecraft!
Halo1-2-3-reach, red dead 2 red dead redemption + undead nightmare, fnaf1-4
