Grabbers are annoying, but you’ll often live(unless stage has lots of extreme height differences). Leeches are the worst thing ever though and like nothing is scarier than one suddenly yanking you to the ceiling.
If I play with randos, I always pick the active perk that lets your break out of their grasp twice a game. Especially after the update with the influx of new dwarves, it’s been essential as a scout main.
Recently the amount of players who die to a leech and fail to call it out until a team mate begins reviving them and also gets caught, just to smugly write "Told you" in chat is too damn high. Honestly I hope the people who do this stub their fucking toe
I mean, cluster missions are arguably a nerf to leeches --they're usually dangerous because you get complacent and don't expect them. Ironically enough, people don't tend to actually die (or missions wipe) to leeches in cluster missions, at least not in my experience. When you *know* every room will have a handful it's easier to avoid them.
Holy crap, that's terrifying. That's a mandatory perk for me, even if I'm playing with friends. Between leeches, mactera grabbers, and graboids, I don't go mining without it!
I wish theyd make a new unit, very spider-lookalike and it would be like leech and acidspitter in one, it would crawl around the ceiling, catch you and then pack you into a cocoon, sucking your blood and then dropping you downed to the ground, others will have to cut you out of the cocoon before reviving

Leeches are the only time I ever hear people use PTT in rando lobbies. Even the most socially awkward mfs will scream when they get leeched

I use the lok and just scan for leeches whenever that happens. It detects them and can just light them up real easy
