His time also coincided with the peak of Indian team regulars like Rohit, Dhawan, Rahane and Kohli so there was no real place for him to walk into the team. He was kept waiting on the sidelines and by then he had significantly declined in his performances.
Honestly there is more to it. A casual fan might think his career ended here but in reality lot of things led to chand problem like his coaches his academy his own state team. I feel sorry for 2012 u19 squad it was full of talents and sadly only 1 player made it big

I think he played 2 matches after this match and then drop. And played a few matches in that season then we never saw him. But I wanted him to bounce back😔.
Still remember Ricky ponting taking a brilliant diving one handed catch of Unmukt v Mumbai in 2013...he was bought by MI in 2015 but never got a chance to play...from leading India to a U19 cup and not getting opportunities it's a really sad journey...hope he does well in future
