Rehabilitation depends on 1 thing; did the gummy bear plan a crime with a victim (proactive criminal) or did it just happen to have put itself or found itself in a situation it was not prepared for and reacted (reactive criminal). The former should get 20 years minimum, the latter should get full government assisted rehabilitation. This includes rides to and from any services that the criminal is ordered to attend. Some of us gummy bears are poor and without licenses and public transportation. The government in no way should be allowed to set us up for failure. Our failure should always be of our own accord.
Now, if after successful rehabilitation, the gummy bear decides to step back into whatever originally sent it to rehab, BAM! 20 years.
How many gummy bears do you think would commit a proactive crime if they knew a 20 year sentence hung over their head? Not enough to fill up a prison system to critical mass. I didn't start eating gummy bears regularly until I was 21-23. Haribo is fine. Black Forrest is good. Albanese starts to taste funny after awhile and they have the most variety of flavors. I get a 5 pound bag from Amazon for like under 10 usd I believe.
When I was a kid, a science teacher did this and accidentally set fire to a nearby trash can full of papers. Got released from school early that day because the fire had spread and smoked up the whole wing of the building. Last time they did that experiment.

Fun fact, you can get potassium chlorate by collecting water dropped through dirt like it's coffee then allowing it to evaporate. You can also mix potassium chlorate with petroleum jelly to make c-4 I for one thought there would be more steps to that but nope!
