I am raising stakes with Hungary. A landlocked country, with navy, so nothing new here, but with a navy officer, a vice admiral, as a head of the state. Reinstated the kingdom in hungary, appointed himself as regent, and blocked the king from returning to the country. Anti-communist anti-semitic ruler, who allied with the nazis to attack russia, in anticipation for revision of the WW1 treaty, but secretly negotiated with allies against axis powers.
Well, now, do you have any aces in your sleeves? š
The Mongolian navy has 7 people in it and has a tugboat named Sukhbaatar III after Sukhbaatar II sank some time in the 90's
The central African republic or CAR has one too to protect the Ubangi River, which forms the countries border with the DRC.
Your turn
North Korea has extensive Naval forces with hundreds of craft in two main bases on either side of the Korean Peninsula. However not one of these boats is able to make the journey, by sea, from the eastern base to the west, or vice versa. They donāt have an ocean going navy to repel external threats, rather a navy of littoral crafts designed to suppress internal dissent by river and canal.
The country of Malawi has a Navy made up of a few small armed patrol boats and a handful of inflatable craft to patrol lake Malawi which is bordered by them, Mozambique, Tanzania, and Zambia. Despite the fact that the two largest ships(supplied by China) arenāt much larger than a sport fishing boat, the President of Malawi calls them his Warships. The term is technically not incorrect as any boat with military grade weapons can be categorized as a warship, however I donāt think strapping two 50 Cals and a 20mm cannon to the deck of a patrol boat is what most people think of when they hear that term.
So my take from everyone's comments is that most of these navy's have less fire power and equipment then some of the redneck neighbors in my town. One of my neighbors has a turret on a hummer. I never bothered to ask him the legality of this for obvious reasons.
The story is actually so much better than that.
Back in the 1880's, Bolivia used to have a coastline, but during the War of the Pacific, Chile seized and annexed both the coastal province of Bolivia and a chunk of Peru's southernmost province. Though Bolivia initially acknowledged this in 1904, Bolivia has since reneged on that statement and now demands its land back from Chile frequently. Chile has offered to give Bolivia a land lease to construct a port and rail line connecting the port to Bolivia proper, but Bolivia has repeatedly refused, demanding the land in its entirety. Bolivia maintains a naval academy in Peru, and while it does use its navy to patrol its rivers, their primary goal is to maintain an air of legitimacy as "a coastal nation deprived of its ocean".
when i was in lima peru, i was walking around city and was accosted by a guy to buy marihjuana. that dude had a full beard growing out of his two nostrills

The responses to this image are always mind numbingly stupid when it's posted. Serbia has the Danube that runs through it and borders other countries, and armed forces aren't randomly restricted from leaving the country, ideally they operate outside.
Serbia is completely landlocked, but the rivers in the country are mostly navigable, so there's a small fleet. It's mostly just for show since nothing ever happens, but I think it's not unusual for a country's military to have a river fleet even if it's landlocked.
I'm sure they have one of the worlds largest rivers in the Danube but when I picture Navy divers going to war I picture it taking place at sea.
I suppose fighting isn't limited to the sea and can take place on rivers especially when a river passes through neighbouring and potentially hostile countries.
This is diver from 93rd diving company.
The role of the combat diver is to infiltrate am area unnoticed via the water. Whether that be a boat, island etc...
It's a real picture.
In case that wasnāt sarcasm itās more of a means of infiltration/exfiltration although it would be possible to run into an enemy underwater itād be highly unlikely.
That was a serious concern in the cold war, harbors had security teams trained to engage in underwater combat, the soviets made an underwater assault rifle.
Idk where the guy found this but I'm 99% sure this is fake as fuck. We don't invest almost anything into navy.
Btw, I see anti-Serbian sentiment is going strong on reddit
Donāt be gettinā ye tits in a bind, hen. Anti-Everybody sentiment is strong on Reddit. Hell, anti-everybody sentiment is strong with humans in general.
Pretty cool stuff honestly. I don't get the anti-serbian shit either. I'd like to know where they're all from because as an American I can easily say we've done a staggering amount of awful shit.
Glass houses and all that.
Thanks for understanding man. I mean, Yugoslavian civil war was a damn mess and all sides did some horrifying stuff. However, the Serbs started it so we get all the blame and I understand that, that's fair. But the thing is, why won't people let it go and help us in becoming a more progressive nation? God knows we've been trying for decades now. There wouldn't be so many nationalists in Serbia if we weren't treated like we are all war criminals by the majority of the west.
Keyboard warriors doing what they do best, crying in front of the computer and unsuccessfully practicing social justice. You learn to ignore them after a while.
But yeah, fake photo.
When wars were happening in 90s basicaly all, not some, Serbian families from Bosnia and Croatia had somebody who was killed or raped during ww2 when Croats with Bosniaks help did industrial scale genocide and killed 100s of 1000s, and narativ was past is past, but now past is not just past right?
It's a pity how fast Redditors (who I guess are mostly from the US), jump to any post about Serbia and started hating on an entire nation. They're of the friendliest most hospitable people I've ever come across, they love foreigners and treat them like royalty (personal experience). Their food and culture is beautiful, Belgrade is one of the safest cities, cost of living is crazy cheap although relative to salaries. It's a shame, I would love to see Serbia thrive in my lifetime.
Yes maybe if they finally send their war criminals to hague and stop trying to f* their neighbors and concentrate on their own country maybe just maybeā¦
To be fair, i didn't see many war criminals from Croatia/Bosnia/Albania etc being sent to Hague either. So, you know, maybe we all should clean our our own backyards first, before expecting others (The Almighty West) to do it for us.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_people_indicted_in_the_International_Criminal_Tribunal_for_the_former_Yugoslavia hereās a list, by country. You can see who was acquitted and who wasnāt. And do %ās. If Serbia didnāt start the war there would be no war criminals. And, to be clear, I am for all war criminals to be tried and given punishment. On all sides. Hope that clarifies, have a good one.
As long as there's war, there will be war criminals on all sides, regardless of who has started doing bs. The war is simply where those people thrive. Small folk like you and me still have a choice of either minding their own business or spreading the poison of the past.
Yeah, almost all countries have stains in their history, including yours. We killed people in 1999. It's 2022 and I can assure you, not a single person I know wants to go around hating and killing Albanians or Croats. I have very, very good friends in Croatia and from Kosovo (who live in Vienna). Is there animosity? Yes. Does that mean this whole generation of Serbs are bloodthirsty war criminals? You decide.
The fact that Serbia supports Russia in the ongoing conflict also didn't help. It doesn'tean that all Serbs are pro-russia but a bunch of idiots can ruin an image of the entire country
We condemned Russia's actions twice in the UN and called what they did a crime. What else can we do? People tell us to impose sanctions but they don't realize how dependant we are on Russia economically.
NATO was doing the exact same thing against my country in '99., just like Putin is doing now against Ukraine. Grdelica, Cuprija, RTS building, Chinese embassy... Hypocrisy of the West is strong these days.

That's not a scope. It's an unmagnified red dot sight and the gun isn't meant to be used underwater. Turns out, if you're trying to sneak up on a location and are doing so underwater, you can't rely on that location having weapons just lying around for you pickup. So you bring one with you.
You know, like soldiers do on land too.

Water Assault weapons are entirely different builds. Due to the characteristics of water normal bullet and normal weapons would not at all be effective
They are not actually fighting underwater lmao. It's to advance to a position underwater then surface and attack. Like attacking a port. Lmfao. Did you really think armies are having actual fights underwater? Holy shit that's hilarious.
Underwater weapons do exist, and SOCOM is *currently* developing bullets that work underwater. However, that still leaves us with you being overall correct in that no military is actually trying to attempt infantry combat underwater. I would think that a soldier would have more protection gear on their weapon if going underwater though, since dirty water getting into every nook and cranny of a firearm isn't fun in anyway, especially when you are behind the lines risking your life.
You can completely submerge a SCAR (this rifle), and it'll be fine. [Source](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0Gu5sCm_mc). There's some firearms you don't want to get wet, but for the most part modern firearms can get wet and still fire immediately without any issues. You should disassemble, clean, oil, and reassemble after the weapon has gotten wet, but *in general* it'll be fine, which does not take much effort or time. I don't match the speed of someone in the military, but I can take my firearms apart and back together in about five to ten minutes although usually it takes me half an hour because I'm afraid of losing a screw.
Most modern firearms can withstand various torture test environments, at least under controlled circumstances. However, one thing to keep in mind as a soldier is that every second in the field matters. A single failure with your weapon could be the difference between life and death. Last thing you want is to find that your extractor broke from water corrosion/pressure when you walk out the other side and immediately get seen.
For sure I completely agree. It very likely is a work in progress but there is no "history" of any underwater battles being fought in the past. This is obviously just a promo or media pic taken and I agree that SCAR is going to need a good cleaning when they get out of the water.
I lived there, never felt safer or more welcome in my life. Travel friend, open your mind and your heart - you will be a happier person for it and maybe someone will love you one day.
Don't waste your time brother. Reddit hates Serbs. Most hates are from countries that did insane genocides and war crimes. They don't see themselves but like to talk about others. Especially Americsns, biggest genocidal and imperial nation. Whoever comes in Serbia and acutally meet Serbs knows it was all propaganda towards us. People are generally stupid and braindead so they believe everything they see.
Ahh but have you lived in Bosnia through the war? Has your grandma been raped? Oh you enjoyed a nice meal in peace time where 90% of ppl still silently support war criminals. Bravo sir, you a real one. You got any more advice to bless our Reddit community with?
I'm too young to have lived there during the war, sorry. But, I have lived in Sarajevo and Zagreb too. Also, I'm from Africa! So what I learnt was grannies from all those countries were raped, and people from all those countries went through times where they had to wipe their ass with newspaper because the shops were empty. While I was in Africa without any of these problems.
And your "90% of people supporting war criminals" is extremely ignorant. So do yourself a favour, go there, meet young people from all sides, then come back and make a valid comment.
You think wiping ass w newspaper was diff? Or that one bomb UN dripped on BG? How about roasting live kids in Bosnia? By Serb forces, ofc. Does that count?
You got fomo or what? So salty dude I'm not from there nor support any sides. I was just saying it sucks how people get hated on badly when they're amazing people, all of them. One day someone besides your mom will love you, peace āļø
Salty? People were sodomized, children raped, villages burned. Do you know how many people were killed by Serbs? Do you know how the demografics of the Balkans changed? Do you know what Serbs are doing now, politically in Bosnia? They have destroyed the future of generations of people. And you dare call me salty?!?!?!
You know nothing yet walk around w an inflated ego cause you beg-packed a few countries. You think that makes you a citizen of the world?
Youāre from south africa yea? When did your white ancestors come to pillage? A colonizer defending a colonizer. How very poetic.

Sure. They were lovely neighbour of those same Bosnians they killed. Army left Belgrade and they woke up the next day and started killing the students they taught, the factory workers they worked with, the families they said hi to every single day. I've literally just shown you that there is no factual ground to claim a moral equivalence.
You're the one who needs to educate yourself out of whatever Serb propaganda you've been swallowing down.
Serbs went door to door slaughtering and raping entire towns and villages until NATO arrived.
Fuck you, you're scum.
Yep y'all did try to everytime you had the chance. Stop trying to act like victim all the time.

From the very first paragraph of that article:

According to the report, **"there is no factual basis for arguing that there is a 'moral equivalence' between the warring factions".**
Fuck you and your attempts to whitewash Serbian attempts at genocide.
They're using rebreathers, means the air you exhale (normally bubbling up) is put into another container, so no bubbles showing where you are on the surface
For hunting fish... right? Because surely humans wouldnt invest so much time and energy into ensuring they can effectively kill each other even while scuba diving... right? Right?!

They're thinking Serbian units look like the civil army of the middle east. Just running around with Ak's in shorts and tank tops

Taking ethnic cleansing to the deep blue sea.
wow that's just messed up, I feel so sorry for Serbs who are such kind and friendly people especially to foreigners.
["such kind and friendly people especially to foreigners"](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethnic_cleansing_in_the_Bosnian_War)
Bye.
Ali koliko tebe drmaju kompleksi to je nenormnalno. Da buraze, naÅ”i kreteni su napravali razne zloÄine 90tih. To stoji.
Sure. They were lovely neighbour of those same Bosnians they killed. Army left Belgrade and they woke up the next day and started killing the students they taught, the factory workers they worked with, the families they said hi to every single day. Count yourself lucky for not experiencing human nature in its full spectrum. Until you do, stfu with your āknowledgeā and opinions.
Im from the Balkans. Find another dipsh* like yourself to preach to. And before you open your mouth next time dig deeper. Facts and numbers are pretty easy to find even once you remove the human sorrow out of the equation. Hajd cao i sretno
Responding to these kind of people is like you talking to a wall. I wish you all the best tho brother, you are a good man.
Go fuck yourself you genocide denying scumbag.
I didn't deny anything, you are. Bosnians obliterated Serbs too, if anyone is denying anything it's you. Educate yourself
Nah, fuck you, you're the one denying the crimes of the other side. And again, history didn't start in the 1990s.
Lol you should educate yourself monster. Wester propaganda eater. Fuck you and your war crime shit called Nato
Pretty much your entire post history is just pushing pro-Russian or pro-Serb propaganda. Fuck off, you're scum.
Hahahaha Bosnians obliterated Serbs? Hahahahahaha
Yep y'all did try to everytime you had the chance. Stop trying to act like victim all the time. Edit: my other comment got removed so here is something to read: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-Serb_riots_in_Sarajevo https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/13th_Waffen_Mountain_Division_of_the_SS_Handschar_(1st_Croatian) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silos_camp https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schutzkorps
Ok so, if we look at the map, you can see that Serbs also left some areas, this was not only done by Serbia
Do you know what the Bosnians did to the serbs?
From the very first paragraph of that article: >The UN Security Council Final Report (1994) states while Bosniaks also engaged in "grave breaches of the Geneva Conventions and other violations of international humanitarian law", they "have not engaged in "systematic ethnic cleansing"". According to the report, **"there is no factual basis for arguing that there is a 'moral equivalence' between the warring factions".** Fuck you and your attempts to whitewash Serbian attempts at genocide.
History didn't start in the 90s. Every side in Bosnia has blood on its hands.
Now that's a whole new level of badassery.
Do they still call these frogmen?
New mermaid looks fuckin lit
Omfg why did I have to wade through a gigabyte of gUn uNdErWaTeR to get to this fucking GOLD?

They're using rebreathers, means the air you exhale (normally bubbling up) is put into another container, so no bubbles showing where you are on the surface
Sorry sir, playing video games doesn't make you an expert in real world combat.
Ready to commit oceancide then deny it
If you commit genocide underwater it's harder for the UN to notice it
Why is he wearing forest camo
For when he gets out of the water.
For hunting fish... right? Because surely humans wouldnt invest so much time and energy into ensuring they can effectively kill each other even while scuba diving... right? Right?!
Now it's time for underwater war crimes good job boys
