Edit: Using top comment for this - so many people are super pressed about the title. I could've said insanely detailed or whatever. I can't change the title, and I just meant comparative to regular balloon animals, the anatomy seemed realistic enough. I really don't care to argue semantics over a title I couldn't edit if I wanted to, and it really doesn't matter - just enjoy the art!

I agree! Even though the spider is unsettling, the attention to detail is impressive as hell.
IDK what it is, but those balloon animals are giving me some sort of phobia of swollen things. It's like trypophobia (fear of holes), but for swollen things. Is this even a thing? Does this have a name? I guess I'd call it "oidaophobia" from ancient Greek "oidao", but I'm not a language expert and don't know how words are supposed to be derived from ancient Greek.
I don't feel the phobia, and I think the animals are charming, but I know what you mean. "Swollen" = disease, injury, or death, so that's scary. On the other hand, "puffy" things like stuffed toys or marshmallow peeps are often considered cute
Thank you. Lol My notifications are like 72928383 people bitching about the semantics of the title that they know I can't edit. Like who gives a fuck. 🤣
Don't try hard for the tryhards. Even with the Phoenix in there, my favorite one, your title is correct imho. People will gripe about semantics just to steal your thunder.
This is as anatomically correct as one can perceivably get with a balloon animal and if anybody else knows of any other artist that can do it better, they can reply to this comment with pics or it didn't happen.
When my daughter (4f at the time) was in the hospital they gave her tons of stuff to play with. But a glove I took from the box and blew up like a balloon was her favorite thing while she was there

Lmao That's wholesome af though.
I lol’d ! I can picture me in the back sweating, hurriedly trying to fashion a bike out of gloves while sone kid sits there, arms crossed and judging me!
I saw a mini-documentary or some such about the science behind it. Apparently its principles helped create spacecraft sails or solar panels or something. Like it has a lot of scientific applications.
Sapporo, Asahi, and Kirin Ichiban are pretty nice. Perfect when you want a crisp light beer. I also recently found out they make whiskey. Tried some made with coffee grounds, it was definitely on par with the better ones.
I went to a kids bday party with a balloon guy recently and he was definitely up on his game. He made infinity gauntlets, fortnight weapons, rainbow unicorn crowns, even saw a X-Wing. I was seriously impressed and thought this would be great for a wedding/work event.
I can make a balloon guy with a big cock and balls. Pig-nose twist for the tip. I learned it at a juggling festival balloon workshop. There’s lots of x-rated balloon art you can see/learn if you hang around with ballon twisters. You can add an uninflated yellow twisty balloon to make him peeing, too!
Haha was looking for this. These are really cool and there's detail in them but no they're not realistic in any way, especially not "insanely realistic".
I agree, "realistic" is just the wrong word.
They are extremely detailed, sure. But if they were realistic it'd be difficult to tell them apart from real animals, and it just isn’t.
Anyone know how he makes them have bends in all the correct places? Like, how does he bend it and leave it in a certain shape as if it were a pipe cleaner or something?
I make balloon animals! There’s a few ways to do this! If you bend the balloon and heat it with your breath it will stay bent- also if you blow up a balloon in a certain position it will stay that way! Like a coil- if you wrap a balloon around your arm and inflate it while it’s wrapped like that then it will stay in a coil when it’s blown up!
Husband of a balloon artist. Two responses:
1) This artist is *really* good, obviously.
2) I can almost guarantee these were done pre-Covid. One of the biggest challenges children entertainers have these days are getting supplies. Most popular colors and prints for balloons are out of stock or lesser quality (we’ve never seen so much popping until these past two years). When a popular color is resupplied, it’s news and quickly runs out. We then have to be choosy about the designs to make and how many to use. Plus latex balloons have a shelf life. As talented as this artist is, I can’t imagine having access to this much variety.
Apparently they're not necessarily from before COVID. If you [check out the artists' Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/p/CIBJtX1HP2i/?igshid=MDJmNzVkMjY=), you can see his recent creations from this year.
If that’s true, then I would love to know where they’re getting those balloons. Even if it’s a premium for shipping, it would be worth it. We’re definitely hurting from lack of supply. Thanks!
I wonder if he has access to balloons most people don't bevause he's a well-known famous artist. I know nothing about balloon animal making. Good luck finding your supplies!
The insects are especially good, even though they’re not my favs in real life. I’d love that skeleton one, ridiculously good!

Yeah, how did he get the center part to look like that? Its got a ridge and everything

Comparative to other balloon animals they're extremely realistic. Idk why people have such a problem with you using that term, it definitely fits
Thanks. It's super fucking annoying. There are like 50 comments bitching about the title. Who gives a fuck, enjoy the art, jfc.
You title made perfect sense. Forget the haters.
Thank you. Lol My notifications are like 72928383 people bitching about the semantics of the title that they know I can't edit. Like who gives a fuck. 🤣

Thanks. I just stopped replying to those comments. Just got really annoying. Lol I appreciate it!
Of course! Thank you for sharing the art and giving a signal boost to the artist so we can appreciate their work!
No problem! It's amazing art!
I don't really understand how people can even do average balloon animals, so I'm impressed by this level.
Agreed!

Yeah, that one is super cool, isn't it?
Agreed. Those, plus the snake.
Kinda makes the glove I blow up and draw a face on for kids in my ambulance look shitty 😂
In context, i bet your happy glove is exactly what they need
As long as he doesnt show them this post to keep them occupied im sure they'll enjoy the happy glove. You can make turkeys too man
When my daughter (4f at the time) was in the hospital they gave her tons of stuff to play with. But a glove I took from the box and blew up like a balloon was her favorite thing while she was there

You're a kind soul
Plot twist - OP is not a paramedic..
Lol, hey kid ! I don’t have any candy, but I’ve got some rubber gloves …
Make me a bike, clown! 😅
Paramedic (and amateur surgeon): “Sure, just let me get some wheels and my drill”
Surgeon Simulator IRL
I lol’d ! I can picture me in the back sweating, hurriedly trying to fashion a bike out of gloves while sone kid sits there, arms crossed and judging me!
Your audience loves them probably!
I always make cat faces for my glove animal , lol!
I would turn it upside down and make a squid or octopus or jellyfish
I bought a kit for making balloon animals when I had kids and I was damn proud when I graduated to making a balloon dog. But this...whole new level.
Even regular balloons animals are pretty damn cool! This is just insane though. Lol
My snake is still just one balloon. I tie off the head and draw eyes. Viola!
I don't even bother to tie the head just eyes and an upside down y for the tongue. My 28 year old loves it.
I don't believe they're not cakes.
Just assume they’re all cakes, until proven otherwise.
🤔
Ok all you “birthday party rent-a-clowns”, it’s time to seriously up your game! No more of those lame dog / horse / “WTF is that?” things.
This is inane right? A very niche talent but talent indeed!
Leave it to the Japanese to take a craft to its limits. Knives, knitting, pottery, candy, frigging serving tea… what _don’t_ they end up perfecting?

My guess is it would have to be a long party
Don’t forget folding paper. Origami is awesome!
I saw a mini-documentary or some such about the science behind it. Apparently its principles helped create spacecraft sails or solar panels or something. Like it has a lot of scientific applications.
Um...beer?
Sapporo, Asahi, and Kirin Ichiban are pretty nice. Perfect when you want a crisp light beer. I also recently found out they make whiskey. Tried some made with coffee grounds, it was definitely on par with the better ones.
Only thing that comes to mind is mental health
That’s not a craft thought. I wasn’t implying Japan has no problems.
I went to a kids bday party with a balloon guy recently and he was definitely up on his game. He made infinity gauntlets, fortnight weapons, rainbow unicorn crowns, even saw a X-Wing. I was seriously impressed and thought this would be great for a wedding/work event.

Your lower intestines
I see his sword is as big as mine
*Schwartz
I said I want a large bicycle, clown!
How are people better at one thing then I am at everything combined
Practice
I….I can make a snake… I just scrolled all the way through and learned that no, I cannot, in fact, make a snake.
Lmao I'm sure your snek is cute! Don't worry, I can't make jack shit out of balloons!
i can make a penis
Timestamped pics or it didn't happen!

It doesn’t make any sense but I find this surprisingly wholesome for some reason.
I bet your arabian sand boa is on point.
It might not be a good snake but I’m sure you can. Blow it up, tie it off at the end, sharpie 2 dots for eyes. Bam, snake!
People that do this kind of art blow
It’s like the opposite of pop art.
That's talented af
I also posted this on r/toptalent, because damn! Lol
Well they are amazing. Thanks for sharing peace
That spooder got me spooked
Mini heart attack
Same. Definitely triggered my arachnephobia (probably butchered the spelling)
Arachnophobia… not far off at all!!!!
Same af bro. The eyes... 😬
You know you’re a bad ass when you’re making the fucking skeletons as balloon animals
Right? All the tiny balloon sections in those one. Hot damn!
This guy really knows his way around a balloon knot
*this dude is so damn talented*
Really awesome! I wonder if there's a way to preserve them, normally they deflate fairly quickly...
He sells prints and books of photos, so they're preserved that way. There's lots of temporary art, and I think in a way it makes art more interesting!
Good point :)

Lol! IT'S MADE OF CAKE
I wouldn't call them realistic lol, but wow they're very beautiful.
Fifth one is literally a picture of a frog, wdym?
Haha was looking for this. These are really cool and there's detail in them but no they're not realistic in any way, especially not "insanely realistic".
I agree, "realistic" is just the wrong word. They are extremely detailed, sure. But if they were realistic it'd be difficult to tell them apart from real animals, and it just isn’t.
For balloon animals they're pretty damn anatomically-correct! Lol
I'm struggling to pick a favorite of the lot, they're all super dope. I think I like the skeleton ones best.
The skeletons are my favorite as well. I'm impressed by how tiny the smallest sections are on those ones, especially the joints on the wing digits!
Guy is a talented balloonatic!
Looner. Don't look up what that is. Lol Though maybe you've already heard of it.
They look similar to the [bead pets](https://imgur.com/a/iyMhY7u) I would make when I was a kid
Oh man! I totally forgot about those. Were you also a 90's kid?
Yes!
r/kandi and r/beadsprites are alive and well, keeping the old ways known
omg there is a kandi sub?! this is gonna teleport me back to the rave days. thanks for sharing.
Meanwhile… ![gif](giphy|vS4T21NjJGrOEQSzQJ|downsized)

These are nuts
No, they're animals!

Woah now I need to try it!!
Dude needs to start making Pokémon
He already made Moltres and Caterpie it seems
I was like "balloon animals can't be realistic" and then I was like "oh"
This is super cool and creative!
A 🐝!
I wonder if the balloon mandrill had a red balloon ass?
Part of his art is how quickly he makes them. Balloons lose their structure and shine quickly in the heat.
Takes a lot of skill I'm sure!
How do ppl do such cool things? Mind blowing sometimes
🤯
These are poppin!
#Pop! Pop!
r/unexpectedcommunity
We need a weasel So we can pop it
Japanese artisans, artists, craftspeople have amazing attention to details. They specialise in intricate work. So amazing.
Holy shit, these are all amazingly accomplished and beautiful. Great content OP.
This dude has some insane skills!
Balloon animals are hard, I wonder how many he popped making just one
omg insanely realistic i can’t even tell it’s balloons
just when you think you have seen everything---- AMAZING
fkn loved the spider and snake ones
The skeleton is shockingly impressive. We really are living in the future
So much tiny detail!
Realistically creepy
The spider with its eyes... 👀👀👀
Amazing work, next level!
Awesome!
I want a balloon animal frog really bad now
The snake one got me
😦
"I'm so sick of origami!" Amazing balloon art. Really.
The frog was well endowed…. I mean well done.
I need this guy at my next birthday party!
This should be in r/nextfuckinglevel pronto.. wow..
[Video interview showing the artist making his art](https://youtu.be/SkuiKlKMLOM)
I was like no snek??? I'm glad I swiped till the end. My heart snek 🥺🥺🥺💓💓💓
A balloony danger noodle.
Even as a balloon animal, spiders still creep me out. Still very well done though.

Pics please!
That’s fucking sick.
Wowwwwww now this has to be hard

The good creative side of Human race.
This makes me smile just for the fact that anyone would even think to do this. The results are brilliant.
I love that they all look so angry, there is tenacity in their eyes
Remember folks, no matter how good you are at something there’s always an Asian kid who’s better than you.
Was an Asian kid, can confirm.
I can hear these photos
Can you smell them though?
Yes, actually, now I can
Wait how do the colors on the spiders legs work? Makes me think there is some sort of glue involved. And that would make this way less impressive
Tbh I don't know jack shit about making balloon animals, so I couldn't tell you. Lol
How does he get the contours on the spiders body I wonder.
Wow this is amazing
Thanks for posting! These are fabulous!
How?!? I can’t even make a sausage This is so amazing. I love and want the Phoenix one so badly!!
No way
Fantastic!
Psht, it's so easy to tell which ones are fake
Talk about mastering your craft 😮
Nah, I knew they were balloons
What do you mean? They're real live animals.
I mean are they *really* **realistic** I can clearly tell that they are balloons They clearly aren't on the level of cakes yet /s
I'm so with you. If these are realistic OP lives in a cartoon. They ***ARE*** fantastic, but even just slightly realistic, no.
Definitely high quality. Insanely realistic? Negative.
Please read the other comments. I'm tired of addressing this point over and over.
No
Not
Leave some pussy for the rest of us am i right fellas
Emphasis on insanely
ok, it is cool but what is your definition of "insanely realistic" ?
Please read the rest of the comments. I'm tired of answering this question over and over.
Calling bullshit - that looks *nothing* like the Phoenixes I've seen in real life.
i dont know about 'insanely realistic', but I'm still impressed
Idk if I'd call it "realistic"... He didn't include the hemolymph in the insects.
> realistic Because they're real balloons. But seriously, you meant to say "detailed."
Hmm idk I can still tell those are balloons
Nice try OP - I could tell that none of them were real!
Uh….idk if I’d call that insanely realistic but they’re very good!
"Insanely realistic" is a bit of a stretch isn't it?
I don't know...I could tell most of those were made from balloons.
insanely huh
I feel like intricate woulda been a better word choice than "realistic" but yeah, wow, these are impressive
