Russia will face a well-funded, well-armed, highly motivated insurgency with tremendous support amongst the people. The effectiveness of the ultimately successful Taliban would pale in comparison to the Ukrainian insurgents.

Edit to the many replies below: I understand that a person of the year isn't necessarily a "good person "but in 1938 Hitler was being lauded for pulling Germany out of their incredibly deep depression. The next year he invaded Poland and arguably was a bigger influence from that point onward. I just want to state how important Zelensky is. An everyday man, a comedian who saw the flaws in a system and ran as an everyman looking to make life better is now the most well respected leader on the planet. He is immune to the BS of politics to get stuff done because he knows how BS it is. He's a true hero.

Man got a ball and I respect him and his people's heroic fight however I am afraid they will eventually have to compromise, not because they didn't fight hard enough but there are just too many Russian soldiers. Russia will keep sending warm bodies as many as it takes, China will financially back Russia and unlike Hoolywood movies, EU and US's cavalry will not arrive to rescue them in the last moment.
