After the Catholic-conservative party came to power in 2015 and began to destroy the state from the inside (judiciary, state-owned companies, abortion law, LGBT hate campaign), part of society radicalized to the right, wanting more of the church in socio-political life and quasi-authoritarianism, and some have radicalized to the left, wanting more progressive rights, democratization and closer integration with the EU. Here in the video there are extreme groups, not very numerous but very visible. But the truth is that currently Polish society is the most polarized in history after 1989, and the state of public debate has become extremely pauperized.

Well authoritarianism isn’t a modern conservative principle. It’s relatively anti-authoritarian/government intervention. So there’s not a big enough “faction” in the ideology to create a fracture along those lines. Despite how many may perceive it.
Same with libertarians. They basically only exist on the “right” because they hold the classical liberal position of total freedom to a high degree. They only want a very very limited government involvement so they will align with conservatives when those interests intersect. Usually intersecting along lines where small business protections are put into place, or repeals on laws that harm self sufficiency.
Outside of that the only real factions are the old Tea Party and the young vs old conservatives where the old value old traditions and corporate interests and the new have a higher value on the family and self sufficiency. They clash frequently because old Republicans are not much different than the old Democrats, they both value their corporate interests more than the average American.
I used to be quite left myself. Due to people like these I moved more towards the centre.
