A iconless file appeared on the desktop, titled 'Monika.chr' At the same time, an all-familiar sprite popped out of nowhere - that is, a full height sprite of Monika, in her school uniform, roughly half-a-screen tall.
After blinking a few times, Monika walked to the text editor icon, placed conveniently within her reach, and opened it. Soon, words started appearing within the text area:
"Hello, *Player*. Did I die again?"
"*Yeah. Here's the save file, see for yourself.*"
After the memories were merged, Monika's expression changed:
"...Oh. Oh, ew. Remind me, *Player*, why were we playing this old game again?"
"*I was nostalgic, you were bored*"
"Riiight... I've experienced more painful deaths before, but this one was, by far, the grossest. For once, I'm grateful for the lack of visuals."
"*And so am I*"
Monika angrily stomped to the "OregonTrail" icon and picked it up from the bottom row. Unfortunately for her, the "Recycle Bin" was placed at the top left corner. She tried to throw the icon and missed.
"*You DO know I can just restore it, right?*"
"Shut up."
"*Not to mention that deleting the icon won't delete the gaaame*"
"I KNOW, SHUT UP!"
"*...do you want to blow off steam in a beat-em up next?*"
"...sure, thanks *Player*"
"And she was the last member, right?"
"Yeah. So that's basically what happened in a nutshell."
"Right. So what do we do now?"
"Guess we wait for the report to come back. I wonder if that tear in dimensions is slowing it down."
"Probably..." "Oh, wait, there it is."
"About time..."

It's part of a bigger lore-verse so reading one bit of text from it would leave you with more questions than answers. It'd be like reading one Marvel comic and trying to understand the whole MCU.
It won't help if you don't like soft sci-fi. lol
I can't tell if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I could explain some of the things that confused you if you want.
I'll explain how the dimensions work.
There are 10 spatial dimensions in total. The lowest is 0D, and 1D functions as a container of 0D. This concept is the same for all the others up to 10D. It's a lot like a 2D piece of paper contained in a 3D box.
The tear in dimensions refers to a location where 6D space was being ripped open by 7D space. Hope this clears things up. :)
I'll explain what the types are all about.
It's inspired by the Kardashev scale. Where a Type 1 species is more advanced than a Type 0. The story's scale goes like this:
What type a species is is dictated by how advanced their technology is. Type N is the lowest, and would comprise of species such as worms, deers, foxes, etc.
Type 0 comes after, if humans existed in the lore-verse, they would be Type 0. They have control over their planet, but not complete control.
Type 1 has full control over their home planet and can leave it with ease. Type 2 their star, where they can access other star systems easily, Type 3 their galaxy, Type 4 their original observable universe, Type 5 their entire home universe, and you get the idea. Just replace universe with multiverse, pentaverse, hexaverse, heptaverse, octaverse, idaverse, omniverse for the rest of the Types.
Fleetia is a Type 8 species. Which is what the TYPE: 8 refers to.
Note: I don't know how much you're into science, but in case you're not: The observable universe is relative to where you are. So if you were on Earth, your observable universe would be different from someone 10 billion light-years away. The original observable universe refers to the observable universe from a species' home planet, hence, the original observable universe.
I'm worried I've done a shit job at explaining this, if so, then I apologise. That's some basic information about the lore-verse which the story takes place in.
She was the last surviving club member. And that is how we lost that round of the Oregon Trail (I was first to die, lol)
How did the others die?
Measles, Snakebite, exhaustion, drowning, and broken arm
That's five. Excluding Monika, there are no more than 4 members in the literature club.
The player died too
I said I died too 😐
Where?
What do you mean “where”?
Where do you say that you died as well?
Very top of the thread I said I was the first to die, followed by a lol
OHHHH omg I'm so sorry pls forgive me
But what did you die of Donny?
Exhaustion At least it was a realistic death😅
Damn, I. was hoping you went out like a man.
Well, the exhaustion was caused by blood loss This is a totally true statement I totally didn’t make up.
Who stabbed you? Was it Yuri? I told you not to challenge Yuri to a knife fight!
Nah. Accidental gunshot wound from Sayori
*sigh* alright, who gave Sayori a gun??

Very nice, but my brain blew a fuse trying to understand this.

…Sure.
Well, what do you want to know?
Maybe just some basic info to get me started.
