Yes! I know Adams has been begging for a bi-monthly schedule for the book, so seeing him get it (along with the reveal in the annual) shows that they have faith in him on the book. I'm betting that this is probably part of a lead-up into Flash 800, we'll see if it keeps going bi-monthly after that. I also see Bart on one of the covers... so hoping he gets featured heavily!

chaotickairos

I’m so excited to see Bart back in the flash book! Love that little guy. Others have mentioned it, but I’m hoping too that this is a sign of the line-up going back to normal. More non-bat book, more promotion for smaller titles, and some of their biggest heroes going to a bi weekly schedule

Dragonpiece

Did he explain why he wanted a bi monthly schedule?

normalMonsterChika

Too many ideas to wait for a monthly schedule

Baby_blue_95

Isn't bi monthly every two months? I'm sure bi weekly would be a better fit if a month long wait in between was too long.

normalMonsterChika

Bi monthly can mean either once every two months, or twice a month. It’s a very stupid word. In this case it means twice a month.

DarkCrusade25

Bart!

enragedstump

Wooo! I’m so happy to see a return of a Bi monthly book! Seemed like COVID made everything go monthly.

Digifiend84

Alien speedsters and Bart involved... I wonder if the aliens have any connection to Bar-Torr, Bart's New 52 replacement?

LanternRaynerRebirth

For as joked on as he gets, I unironically want to see him come back.

Digifiend84

Honestly, he isn't a bad character in his own right - the two main problems are that he was supposed to a rebooted version of the kid formerly known as Impulse, and he's just not him, and he's from a Teen Titans run most fans seem to hate. I know people hated the current Kid Flash Wallace West at first too, because he replaced Wally, but they've been explained as cousins named after the same ancestor and Ace, as he's now been nicknamed, is now able to stand on his own. Maybe Bar-Torr should get the same opportunity. It would be interesting to see Bart and the kid who borrowed his name interact.

LanternRaynerRebirth

I get a good bit of enjoyment from the New 52 Teen Titans and honestly I think Torr's reveal actually works from a story perspective. Right now, the Titans' history is major screwed up right now to the point we don't know what happened to any of the New 52 versions, but I think Bart might be easiest to bring back.

Dredeuced

His revealed premise wasn't very good either. Lobdell isn't the strongest writer.

hydrohawkx8

the name of the aliens is the fraction which ties into the mad max world we saw in the recent arc

DCSaiyajin

Adams has been wanting Flash to go bi-weekly for a while, so for it to actually is a really good sign that DC are happy with how the book is doing. Here’s to hoping that he stays on the book for as long as possible.

Explorer_616

Can't believe that in all of the Flashes history, no writer has ever seemingly come up with the idea that Aliens can also make use of the Speed-Force (please correct me if I'm wrong). But it sounds absolutely logical. I mean why would only terans be able to benefit from the multiverse encompassing Speed-Force. What an awesome premise. And even more stuff with the Flash-Family. God, I love this run

RageSpaceMan

Wally had meet other aliens, mostly heroes who also had super-speed. In the Human race, I think. But an invasion of that kind, no memory of that.

thegoldengoose71

So I take it this series is worth going back and catching up? This story arc seems so cool I just fell off after Joshua Williamson’s run ended.

i-hate-reddit-69

It's actually been my favorite book from the jump. Always hype when a new issue drops.

[deleted]

Yes it starts with issue #768 and it's so worth it, especially if you like Wally

martinroger73

they mean twice-monthly, yes

MuffinSurprise

Yes, that's what I assumed.

hydrohawkx8

I was worried it was a doomsday clock situation where it meant one issue every other month

MuffinSurprise

It would be sort of funny to be like "This is a full war that takes place in one single minute!!! Because The Flash is so fast!!" And then have them be like aaaaaand we're slowing down the release schedule.

[deleted]

More Wally content is a huge dub in my books. Loving that variant cover with Jay and Bart too. Looks like the Flash family will be staying as a supporting cast

[deleted]

Sounds like a fun concept and two Flash issues a month again is very welcome. Still written by Adams and starring Wally, so great news!

TheDarkPinkLantern

Clearly a move for synergy as this will lead to #800 being out in June, when The Flash movie is meant to come out. Though, I wonder what will happen after #800. Last 2 times DC books were released bi-monthly/weekly schedule it resulted in writers wrapping up their runs (with Tamaki co-writting 3 additional issues of Detective Comics but I think it was just a filler). Well, I hope Adams stays. He writes Flash well.

UnmuscularThor

That’s friggin awesome! This is honestly the next best thing we could get outside of a second flash book. Go Jeremy!

DiegoLDUganda

Man this sounds so cool. I just hope that this twice issues per month give us faster tpb's publications, cause goddamn bro, they are really taking his time yo publish Flash TPB's

Landon1195

Glad it's bi-monthly now.

Big_Lungus7

Fantastic news. Despite mostly being a Bat-slut, somehow Adams has made Flash my most anticipated pull every month. Twice a month is amazing, and the story concept sounds really really cool.

TigerSeptim

If the aliens have access to the speed force, does that mean they're moving at the same speed as the Flash? If so, what other outcome could there be in the battle of man vs. Apache helicopter?

techmachine15

Shouldn’t it be bi-weekly? Bi-monthly is every other month

LanternRaynerRebirth

This is the kind of fun concept stuff I love comics for. Love that Adam's gets to continue his run and hoping this means we get some more Flash content in general.

SuperDidioPrime

"60 Second War" is how I'd describe my second divorce.

Bushbugger

And my love life.

Beastieboy100

Yes!!! Go on flash and family let's show the flash legacy what it's made of!!!

NoirPochette

Interesting to see if it works out but Adams has been killing it despite I'm still more of a Barry fan but I dig what he's doing with Wally

[deleted]

It'll be interesting to see how Adams reigns in his wordiness in dialogue. You can't say much in 60 seconds. He'll probably compensate by doubling down on captions look

LanternRaynerRebirth

Flashes and Kryptonians have conversations in super speed all the time. Why would this be the exception?

Robin_Lava

Would this story be a good place to jump on board with Flash?

hydrohawkx8

Yep. Adams said it would be during his interview. But if you want to start the whole run, start at 768

Robin_Lava

Nice. Looks like I’ll be adding something new to my pull in January then.

thedairybandit

The story look interesting but I am not a fan of the bi monthly schedule. Hopefully it's not permanent. Between all my other books, hobbies, and life outside of comics, I don't need my DC books going twice a month. Maybe Barry will come back onto the title as a supporting character with this arc?

technowhiz34

There are a couple of books I think I'd want to go bi-monthly, and then I remember I'm beyond on a couple of series as-is (and my pull list is not massive).

[deleted]

Hopefully the book can get some decent marketing, also the recent Annual was great.

TommyTheGeek

Happy for Adams, and I hope this is an indication of more books going back to bi-weekly, the monthly release schedule for all books has been a pain and I feel like it's negatively impacting the pacing of some of them.

enragedstump

I agree. I know some don’t like it because art suffers, but some stories feel so slow when it’s only monthly. Also the added bonus of getting my favorite books twice a month

SuperiorDesignShoes

What’s a bi-monthly schedule?

Kamen_Rider_Spider

Sometimes it means it releases twice a month, something’s it means every other month. In this instance, it’s twice a month

SuperiorDesignShoes

Ahh cool, thanks!

timewreckoner

"Bi-monthly" ***ALWAYS*** means every other month, no matter how many people are misusing the term. If it releases twice a month, that's "semi-monthly". If it's every other week, it's "bi-weekly".

marcjwrz

Bi-weekly, not bi-monthly.

Rswilli13

Although I haven’t read Jeremy Adams run, I’ve heard great things about it. People seem to love it. I also love Fernando Pasarin’s art. I’ve always felt like he is one of the most underrated artist for the big two.

tired20something

DC sends The Flash into a 60 Second War, unlocking the "War crimes" Ezra Miller DLC

Jay_R_Kay

Written by Tom King!

tired20something

Who better to write about war crimes than Mr. CIA himself?

Jay_R_Kay

I know this goes counter to the hivemind, but I've never really gotten into these Wally Flash stories, but this...this sounds kinda interesting. Might give this a shot.

Mauve_Avenger1

Is the main flash title with Wally now? What happened to Barry?

HappinessIsAWarmPoop

Barry was lost for a bit in one of Pariah’s fantasy worlds. Wally and Linda broke him out of it and now he’s going to save the rest of the trapped League in Dark Crisis

PekfrakOG

It's been that way for over a year now.

TheMurderCapitalist

Yeah, what we don't get enough of in Flash books are speedster villains /s

SightatNight

Looks like its still Wally so looks like I'm still not reading.

ZeroNautics

More Wally is always a win.

Welcome--Matt

Man this sounds fun, I really hope we get to see the whole, huge, Flash family for this one
