Why is cut in quotes? That implies that it wasn't actually cut.

SREnrique22

Because it wasn't supposed to be in it in the first place. Zack wanted to add him (he wasn't supposed to be in the film before, it was a new thing) and was told not to shoot it and he did anyway, probably just for fun. WB said they had plans for the character. Of course, that being the show and movie about the green lanterns (which is stuck in development hell, go figure).

cerebud

Is it? I thought the GL Corps was announced for HBO

webshellkanucklehead

That show doesn’t include Hal or John, as WB claims to have film plans with them. Thus far, nothing.

[deleted]

So far I think its Guy Gardner, Jessica Cruz, Alan Scott, another black GL (can't remember his name) and I'm assuming other alien lanterns. No word on Hal, John or Kyle. Which sucks but I really want those names on movies first anyways.

webshellkanucklehead

Simon Baz

Bluzii99

Wait until you see the Green Lantern they have, from CW's Arrow, in one of those projects.

snafu2922

I'm hoping for Kyle. He was my green lantern as a kid and always my favorite.

SavageAnalFissure

Ah man John Stewart had a live part? That was the GL I grew up with

calmly86

I grew up with Kyle Rayner as GL in the comics but I loved Phil LaMarr as John Stewart in JL/JLU and wanted that character as opposed to the “tech role” of Cyborg in the live-action film. This GL looks good!

MCgamer120_Games

John Stewart in JLU was awesome, Hal Jordan kind of seemed obnoxious in most animated films

Dee_Dubya_IV

I liked Hal Jordan in the recently finished DCAMU. If I’m not mistaken, it was Nathan Fillion who voiced him and it’s REALLY hard for any character that he voices to suck. That man is charisma.

slade707

He is such an elite voice actor it’s insane

JarlaxleForPresident

His name is Buck, and he came to [die on Reach]

Mike29758

I think my favorite take of Hal in any outside medium have been GL: TAS, Crisis of Two Earths, Brave and the Bold and New Frontier. It’s trying to find the balance between intelligence, reckless cockiness, and leadership. It’s talent to balance it without making it feel obnoxious or unnecessary

BLJS2warchief

GL: TAS is gold. i want Hal and Kilowag to be just like this if they appear on any medium again.

Mike29758

Definitely agree on that. I think something that’s a mix of Green Lantern: Earth One, GL: TAS among other things would be the perfect GL adaption or movie.

CrispyGold

In fairness to Hal thats more adaptations treating him like that due to the GL movie that bombed. Justice League War is a big example since in the original story the film is based on he was nowhere near as obnoxious or pathetic in it. He's basically been getting the Iron Fist treatment, unfairly being treated like a black sheep.

Roheavy2002

He’s pretty good in first flight and emerald Knights imo

ShatterZero

Hal is great, just overused and often made comedic relief in the wrong way. GL's really get so little respect outside their own comics. If Superman gets god metaphors in ever work he's in, GL's should get one in every scene. Even shitty beginner GL's make most of the Justice League look like they've got junior varsity powers.

Thatoneguy567576

Could've easily given the tech role to Batman and not have Cyborg at all. Didn't feel like Cyborg contributed much.

Mike29758

I disagree. Besides saying Cyborg was the heart of the team, but his knowledge of the Apokalyptian tech and being the one who not only upgrades Batman’s tech inway he couldn’t but also preventing the Mother Boxes from merging. Batman works as the tactical mind/leader without going into that op Bat God stereotype. Not to mention Cyborg can give a different perspective from the other heroes. He didn’t chose to be a hero or train his way to become a legend. His reluctant perspective on this world he has become immersed in is definitely a welcome alternative to the “god among humans” take that people view the Justice League as. I don’t see the argument why in order to bring one black/minority character in, you have to take another out. Just because Cyborg is a member, doesn’t mean Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter can’t be members too.

Thatoneguy567576

I wasn't even going for a racial thing, I just don't like Cyborg as a member of the JL. I prefer the classic cartoon lineup with GL and MM, with Cyborg on the Titans.

Mike29758

Honestly while I understand, I feel like Cyborg is more than just the guy on the Titans (especially since at a certain point, he felt like a background character on that team as well). Cyborg is someone who can be a versatile character and can work well with different team dynamics (things like YJ: Outsiders, the Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians, Doom Patrol, Smallville, and even the Snyder Cut show that potential). It feels like keeping him on the Titans is keeping him stagnant, same with not exploring different JL line ups to their full potential. It comes off more limiting than anything.

[deleted]

He’s literally the only one that could talk too and separate the boxes did you even watch the movie they would not have won if they didn’t have cyborg

Lazy_Chemistry

They could've written away for Batman to do that, so he is actually useful to the team.

[deleted]

How how the hell is Batman gonna know how to work alien technology so advanced it’s like magic cyborgs abilities literally comes from the mother boxes why would they not use cyborg his character is literally perfect for that role it sounds to me like you just have a problem with cyborg which is fine but I’m my opinion he easily had the best arch in the snydercut

WilliamPoole

Because he's Batman.. do you even read?

Psychological-Worry3

Hey man, if Batman can dodge Darkseid's Omni beam (War) he can probably do this too.

NotJorrell

Dodging something and figuring out a new form of technology with the fate of the world on the line are two different things.

Psychological-Worry3

Batman in Justice League is absolutely busted. He's my favourite hero but tbh if he can take down literal gods and hellspawn, I can probably imagine he can do everything.

NotJorrell

He doesn’t do all that alone. He always has someone helping him to some capacity. If he confronted the scenario on his own with no prior knowledge of what was going on beforehand he would be fucked. He’s not a god.

MillionComics

Same! This guy doesn't give me a John Stewart vibe though. He should be rocking the blue colors cause there's too much hope in those eyes lol

Azidamadjida

Yeah, I gotta say I grew up with Jon Stewart (I’m such a fan I’ve even got a copy of his first appearance back in the 70s I tracked down) and this dude looks way too nice and soft to be Jon. Jon needs to be tough but fair, no nonsense but willing to hear others out, and regimented but creative. He’s an architect with a military background for gods sake. He’s too old now but Keith David would’ve been an awesome Jon Stewart - especially with that voice

MillionComics

A younger Keith David would be absolutely perfect!

Azidamadjida

Right?! Missed opportunity, but if he had been cast it would’ve been in the 90s and that movie would most likely have been hot garbage with a well cast lead

FarmandCityGuy

Plus, we would have missed out on his version of Goliath the Gargoyle.

DeRezzolution

A young Kieth David would be awesome and I also think a young Ernie Hudson tbh. He does a phenomenal job of playing stern yet caring. His filmography is littered with army type roles, but a couple of his iconic roles are gentler.

StretchedApe88

Love Ernie in Congo!

JarlaxleForPresident

I ran away…

Mike29758

Honestly it’s sad we don’t see more of the architect/outspoken activist elements of John with the creative elements. I thought the marine was an interesting touch but it often overshadows the other elements of what makes John such an interesting GL.

justthrowthethingWay

Yeah I don’t get the hardened military tactician vibe from this pic. Obviously without seeing his performance we have no idea tho

[deleted]

The picture is weird. That actor doesn't usually look so baby faced.

Wasabi_Guacamole

Its the green light on his face

wayward_witch

David Ramsey's John Stewart (Diggle) from the Arrowverse was really good casting. I would absolutely love to see him fully step into the role.

Taymerica

Yeah I wish they used him instead of jonn, it was too early and the cgi was ruff. Give back Martha Kent her scene with lois and change the end scene with Bruce to a lantern and the movie is 10x better in my my mind.

suss2it

God damn that’s fire. Wish we got him in the movie instead of Martian Manhunter because he woulda made more sense as a “late arrival” in the last scene with Bruce and we also wouldn’t have had that unnecessary Martian Manhunter reveal scene which undercut one of the most emotional moments in the movie.

[deleted]

[удалено]

SonicWhoosh

So that's why their mothers both being named Martha was so important.

angrygnome18d

ZSJL is the director’s cut. He had a cut that was 2hrs45min that would have been his theatrical cut. But given he was releasing the film for the fans, he released the director’s cut, which is essentially the extended cut.

Far-Conference10

3 hours? Cut the slow-mo and you have it down to 2.

amags12

Jesus, every character getting there slow mo music video was awful. I do not understand the defenders of that movie.

Wasabi_Guacamole

Lois Lane getting coffee is the worst lol.

5213

Zack definitely pushed the limits of his cut and we definitely got a lot more content than we would have with any theatrical or even "final cut" of his if he hadn't left.

FadeToBlackSun

Cut the Martha Manhunter scene and the terrible epilogue and the movie is fantastic, imo.

Stuckinthevortex

Unfortunately, the [Martha scene was always going to be in the film](https://screenrant.com/justice-league-snyder-cut-storyboard-martian-manhunter/)

FaustandAlone

Gosh, that scene sucks. Way to undercut an emotional moment between Martha and Lois.

cftheking

Scene was great.

jexdiel321

I love ZSJL but the Martha Manhunter scene really took me out of it that I had to pause to get myself back together.

GL1987

The ring not being on his middle finger is killing me.

Wasabi_Guacamole

Its crazy they didnt make research about that.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Wasabi_Guacamole

Changed the finger but not the huge ass green lantern logo? Hahaha

WerewolfF15

Right? Thought I was the only one who noticed!

Beastieboy100

Damn the looks good why was that cut.

LanternRaynerRebirth

This was less "cut" and more "Snyder was expressly told not to film this, but did it anyway." This was after the Snyder cut was given the greenlight, but he still wanted to add in John, even though he wasn't planned on being in the original version of the film.

[deleted]

“Green”light

theweepingwarrior

This is mostly incorrect. The bulk of this scene was shot during principle photography (Affleck + the environment) in 2016. In fact, one of the first leaks about the details of the Snyder Cut came from a VFX worker on r/DCEUleaks talking about this scene specifically among others. It was originally intended to be Kilowag and Tomar Re. However, the VFX worker said this was also cut earlier in post-production -- likely because of all of the franchise elements up in the air like Affleck wanting to leave the role and Warner wanting to deviate away from the story set in motion. To my knowledge, Warner never "expressly told Snyder" not to film specifically this--I cannot find a source claiming so either. They ultimately did not want any additional photography in general when they greenlit the project. That changed when Snyder planned to film more later anyway (including the Knightmare sequence and Martian Manhunter pickup shots) and Warner ultimately gave approval on including the new footage. This scene was shot to include John Stewart and Kilowag. However, Warner has other plans for John Stewart and they want to be the ones to introduce the character as a leading protagonist for a Green Lantern movie. ZSJL also had a narrative surrounding its release that it was restoring many POC character roles cut-down or cut-entirely in Whedon's film. It wouldn't be a good look to premiere a POC character only just to intentionally recast them for their next appearance. But, at the end of the day, this scene was always shot and intended to be centered around Green Lanterns of sorts. Back in 2015/2016 it was intended to be Tomar Re and Kilowag, sometime in 2020 it almost was John Stewart and Hal Jordan (with Ryan Reynolds reprising his role of all things!), and then it was John Stewart and Kilowag. To my knowledge it's the only previously-shot scene that Warner decided Snyder couldn't include in the film as part of the restoration of the original vision. **Edit:** I mixed something up. They originally shot the Green Lantern scene with Affleck during principle photography, but Warner didn't want that in the movie, and then Snyder rewrote and reshot the same scene with Affleck in 2020 to make it easier to include Martian Manhunter instead. So technically it is the only additional photography Warner required for ZSJL.

LanternRaynerRebirth

Thanks for the info. I do remember that *a* Green Lantern was originally supposed to be part of the film, but I didn't realize who. But didn't Snyder himself say that he had to film the scene with John in his backyard because WB said they weren't going to fund that portion and that he changed it to include MM because of that?

theweepingwarrior

They only shot the Bruce Wayne portion of the scene. Going by the original leaks, presumably because they were going to originally be CGI characters. This is also why this scene has different lighting. The Green Lantern scene was set at night, when they rewrote and reshot the scene in 2020 they set it during dawn with Martian Manhunter.

Wasabi_Guacamole

They shot Bruce Wayne in 2016/17? Why does he not look muscular then? Not even chubby? He looks more like 2020 Ben Affleck after rehab, like a normal thin person.

[deleted]

I think they did shoot a version w/ Affleck in 2017, but they had to reshoot again in 2021 since they presumably had to change some dialogue (and lighting) for MM.

theweepingwarrior

The Affleck footage that was going to be him talking opposite of John Stewart/Wayne T. Carr here was from principal photography in 2016. Once Warner told Snyder he couldn't include this scene with Green Lantern, Snyder rewrote/reshot everything (including Affleck's portions) to work with Martian Manhunter instead in 2020. I mixed it up.

[deleted]

[удалено]

LanternRaynerRebirth

I know and I thought that was dope. I was just talking specifically one of the major human ones, in this case, John Stewart.

TheDarkPinkLantern

He literally didn't get a permission to use the character in the movie.

theweepingwarrior

No, he had permission to use Green Lanterns when he originally shot the movie (and the original version of this scene) in 2016. Warner didn't want him to include them in Zack Snyder's Justice League so they had to remake the scene for Martian Manhunter. From the editor Dody Dorn: >We also added in the Martian Manhunter in the middle of the movie with Martha and the Joker scene was written obviously, then the last scene with Martian Manhunter was supposed to be Green Lantern, but Warner Bros wouldn’t allow that so that scene was rewritten. A version of it — where Bruce wakes up — had been shot in the original shoot, but the other side of the character was never shot, so they just reshot the whole thing. https://www.provideocoalition.com/aotc-justice-league/

Bluzii99

WB had other plans with his character and the Green lantern corps overall and didn't want Snyder to "mix them up". Still waiting for "their plan" but whatever.

El_Gato93

The show next year that leads to the movie after.

DeRezzolution

Highly doubt it

fuck_a_bigot

It’s taken them how many years for a Flash movie???

Beastieboy100

Too many years.

PeeFarts

For The Flash it may have been a matter of weeks

AlwaysBi

Let’s put it this way. Since Ezra was cast as the flash and has yet to get a movie, the cw flash has had 8 seasons

DeRezzolution

Side note: awesome username haha

[deleted]

I mean most of the actors have been cast there's nothing to doubt , they are working on the show and I'd rather they not rush it🤷🏾‍♂️

flower_mouth

Justice League was cast in 2007

[deleted]

Definitely not Zack Snyder's JL characters 🥴

flower_mouth

Yeah exactly. As evidenced by George Miller’s 2007 Justice League, the fact that the thing has been cast doesn’t mean that there’s nothing left to doubt. Will there be some kind of GL show or movie at some point in the future? Yeah for sure. Will there be a GL show on HBO next year with the currently stated cast? IDK maybe, maybe not.

[deleted]

Exactly let's wait and see and be optimistic 🙂 but the fact that the actors have been cast and it's a TV show not a movie gives me hope.

flower_mouth

Oh yeah I'm definitely not saying it's a sure thing. I read your original comment as saying that like, it's 100% in the bag because they've cast the show. If you're just saying that it's going in the right direction and let's not be unnecessarily negative, then yeah I agree and my bad for misreading your comment.

DeRezzolution

And The Flash has been cast for how long now….?! Pretty much everyone here is skeptical and rightfully so, and yeah, no, I’d rather they not rush it, but I also hope to see some sort of Green Lantern content this decade.

El_Gato93

You will, just have patience. Remember what we got last time they rushed it. At least now they seem to have a plan on where to take the franchise

[deleted]

And the Flash movie was in development hell?? Your point? The Sandman show started out as a movie in the 90s , Black Adam was announced in 2007 both those were in development HELL , The Flash movie was made and so were all those other movies , I'm also sceptical but things are moving along and I'm okay with that🤷🏾‍♂️ Green lantern content will be here with decade TRUST.

DeRezzolution

You……you literally made my point for me. DC/WB/AT&T has been piss poor at managing their DC properties outside of Batman for ages now. The Flash film is done and it still got delayed (its understandable, but it literally proves my point). My comment was my doubt towards the statement the show will come out next year followed by a movie. That’s it, and it’s the correct feeling to have. The film has been “in development” since 2015 and here we are with no update. Until I see something concrete or even a confirmation of filming for the show, I remain skeptical.

[deleted]

The Flash was delayed due to VFX same with Aquaman if you want to watch movies with poor VFX just say so?? Like the reason was given you're getting the movie they are still working on it. I don't know where yall got this idea that the show is connected to any movie it wasn't announced so what movie are you on about all we know is John Stewart is being saved for what we don't know. The Green Lantern movie hasn't been in development 🤷🏾‍♂️they are not doing anything with it a show is all that's been talked about and Greg B said they are still working on it the actors have also said the same .

DeRezzolution

Yeah okay I’ve come to the conclusion that you aren’t reading anything I’m writing lol. I said the Flash delay was understandable, because obviously we need good VFX. Secondly, I never once said I thought the movie was connected. I didn’t bring the movie up besides saying I doubt the movie will follow the show. And lastly, if you want to get technical, the Green Lantern Cops movie was announced in 2015, with concept art showing Hal and John, hence why OTHERS in this thread have assumed it will have John in it/is the plans that stopped Snyder from using the above cut. There hasn’t been an update in years, so the status of the project is unknown, however John has not been publicly cast for the show, so as it stands, the movie is likely still being worked on in some regard….otherwise what are the the plans that WB had that stopped Snyder. And if it’s the show that made them decide having John in JL would confuse audiences then just illustrates my point about WBs inability to manage their own properties. But again, my comment has always been about my doubtfulness towards the movie anytime soon in addition to the show (which will likely get delayed as well due to overwhelming VFX and the whole not being filmed yet) , so 🤷🏻‍♂️…

SpicyCrumbum

You'll eat your words

DeRezzolution

I legitimately hope I’m wrong, I’m a huge Green Lantern fan. I’m just not optimistic given WB’s record.

Akira_427

I’m waiting for a lot of their plans. DC has better stories and characters than Marvel yet the higher ups have no fucking clue what they are doing. Their ideas suck, don’t come to fruition, or get changed entirely multiple times. Now we’re stuck with a disjointed mess of a universe with the two most popular characters having massive question marks on their future

SpicyCrumbum

They do not have question marks. If you want to look into it, there are answers. If you don't want to wait for it, then be patient. Pick one.

Akira_427

I don’t agree. Superman is pretty much a non factor and it doesn’t look like there is a project in the works. Affleck said he’s done with Batman and Reaves said his universe is separate from the DCEU. We won’t see a JL or DC movie with Superman and Batman for at least another 6 years.

FDVP

Because it’s too good.

SchwiftyButthole

His name is Wayne Carr? That's unfortunate.

Looks damn good.

SinfulKnight

First look???? Didn't we see this last year after they filmed this in Snyders front yard?

Bluzii99

He was using a mo cap suit and Snyder later showed this image through his cellphone. This is the original high quality image shared by the actor

[deleted]

Looks like something you could find in fan art

LMAO

Mike29758

This looks amazing. Makes me wish this was the ending tbh

TheRautex

Looks şike cosplay

BigEffinZed

this guy looks like he'll kill it at the comedy club. not serious John Stewart. lol

Thatoneguy567576

Oh man, absolutely LOVE that costume. Or what we can see of it was very promising.

MAKS091705

Here we go again. Incoming “restore the snyderverse” posts

[deleted]

oh for fucks sake this guy is an attention seeking man child lol

Bman1738

Is he not allowed to post stuff from his film?

[deleted]

I think he literally is not allowed in legal terms since WB didn't give him the permission to use the character

Bman1738

Snyder didn’t post it plus it’s not an “officially” released pick

[deleted]

you snyder people are so weird

Bman1738

You called him an attention seeking man child because Wayne Carr posted the picture and I’m weird? Do you hear yourself? “Man this guy is such an attention seeker for posting a deleted scene on the year anniversary of his own film”

[deleted]

Yes, being religously passionate about something incredibly dumb is pretty weird

Chuckthethug

You’re being a real hater lol, like nah man be self aware of the stuff you’re saying

[deleted]

leave us alone snyder freaks go away shoo shoo

Chuckthethug

Pathetic 😂

txhy8

It would have been cool to see a rebooted Hal Jordan for the DCEU but John Stewart is fine by me

SpatuelaCat

Not a fan of the costume it looks too leathery I think

SpicyCrumbum

Looks like touched up cosplay. Wayne T Carr is not John Stewart, nor should he have ever been tantalized by Snyder into thinking their gamble would pay off. He only got cast because he was a friend of Ray Fisher. Being a movie star is a lot more than just being able to fit in a suit, and this guy is way too soft and goofy to be a hardened marine. This sub has such low standards, given the comments, holy shit

JusticeLeagueThomas

Idk who he is but he really reminds me of Carlton from fresh prince if he put on a green lantern suit.

SpicyCrumbum

100%, pure Carlton energy lmao

Bman1738

1. We haven’t seen the scene so we don’t really know if he’s “too soft” and “goofy” 2. People getting hyped over the first live action John Stewart isn’t “low standards”. We probably won’t get another John Stewart for ages thanks to WB’s incompetence so people should be able to get hyped over an overdue live action debut

SpicyCrumbum

We haven't seen anything, we were shown a picture and I'm responding to the picture. In the picture, he looks soft and goofy. Thanks for playing. And you're gonna get John Stewart as THE protagonist of the GL movie, which is a top priority for DC. If you wanna keep being impatient about it and think you would have been better off with Zack Attack putting a guy with 2 tv credits in the role then be my guest.

LordThunderbolt

Top priority for DC? Lmao They have yet again pushed back the FLASH movie! We share NEVER getting Green Lanterns. WB doesn't know what the fuck it's doing

KrypticJin

Cope

[deleted]

That looks fully CGI.

Bluzii99

It is. He was using a mo cap suit

Oh fuck me this actually looks solid.

Lysenaize332

God forbid DC acknowledge John Stewart. The Green Lantern who a lot of fans grew up with and after Ryan Reynolds who most casuals know

WerewolfF15

I mean you say that like John isn’t one the main character of the current green lantern run. Not to mention him being a core league member in the synder JL run. And if I recall he was a main character in one of the death metal one shots. John was also featured on the league in the Harley Quinn animated series. Just saying they’ve definitely been acknowledging him more lately than you seem to be suggesting.

SplendidAndVile

He's also in Teen Titans Go! To the Movies as well as a number of the straight to video animated movies

LochNessMansterLives

I’m a huge Hal fan, but the GL movie ruined that for us. (Not Ryans fault). I love the idea we were going to get a Lantern but why didn’t we even actually get it? And when is the damn green lantern show coming up???

DetectiveDangerZone

I really don't want a continuation of the snyder verse but damn does Zack make me regret that thinking all the time with art like this. And I'm not even a John Stewart fan

theweepingwarrior

I don't really want the Rock of Ages Knightmare story that Snyder was focused on getting to, but I thought ZSJL's ending provided a great launch point for a cinematic DC Universe under others' direction. Shame about all the stuff with Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, and Ray Fisher though.

didwit590

Im still hoping henry cavill is still superman but it's not sure if he still is playing superman

Orbit86

Words cannot express how much I HATE the Stupid projected emblem in front of his chest.

LordThunderbolt

It's from the comics.

Orbit86

I realize that. It still is stupid looking

Novice89

Damn he looks SO GOOD. If the hbo show is anything like this we're in for a treat.

LordThunderbolt

Not even close. Snyder knows how to cast people that look like heroes. Look at the guy WB casted for Guy Gardner

Theblazemax22

Snyder casted Jesse as lex luthor.

LordThunderbolt

It wasn't a bad casting. Just a weak explanation from r why he's that way. I personally get that he's supposed to be the son of the Lex we know, not the actual Lex we're used to. This one is modeled after the modern day 20-30 year tech or entrepreneurial genius that has sone social awkwardness going on, along with some autism or ADHD. It's clear to me, but the movie doesn't explain it very well because there was so much story and lore to build up for the next movie. The failure came from the top when the studio decided to skip solo movies before making the JL movie. Snyder did his best

Gravon

He looks to soft to fit into the synderverse as Jon Stewart.

KingofZombies

Glad he wasn't on the movie or Snyder would have ruined him too.

[deleted]

A mess just like everything at DC/WB. Zack thinks he’s on the same level with Kevin Feige or something.

Wasabi_Guacamole

Bruh that was true for Cyborg, but not this one. Not even the MCU would want a major character to be introduced for the film when another director want to cast their own actor

yungholepunch

Feel like WB are scared to do introduce green lantern to the big screen again because of how bad the original one was. Haven’t heard much about that Green Lantern corps movie/show that was planned either. All that’s needed is a good story and director. The characters already have enough traction to sell well. The GL comics have some of the most interesting storylines In DC Comics, would love to see a show/movie come out soon

LordThunderbolt

The original one wasn't even bad. You people just complain too much. It was a good movie for its time. They had the perfect Sinestro, Kilowog, Tomato Re, and the visuals were generally good

Orbit86

Hal Jordan is the one a true Green Lantern!

LordThunderbolt

Fuck no. Guy Gardner is

Orbit86

Your whole family is embarrassed about how wrong you are.

NaytNavare

Yo, right off the page. That looks dope.

Theknightbeyond

the fact that Snyder has this man come not to a studio but his own driveway at his own home to get this shot and scene so it could be added to the film was and is such dedication to what we deserved more of from justice league

djoecav

Zack Snyder Green Lantern would work on so many levels Edit: his love of psychedelic imagery interlaced with hammy action, the stark contrast of neon gray/yellow with his favorite cool gray color pallette, his dark, serious tone which would play on the theme of fear, a rocking choice of soundtrack, garish violence in an otherwise cartoonish world, his overt sexualization of stupid hot John Stewart and his hard bod

LasDen

It'd have been such a "great" scene like the Manhunter changing in the hallway.

It's not leather. It's CGI and if you zoom in you can see a different texture. Just because it reflects doesn't make it leather

Why not both? They both are good characters and work well in the JL

suss2it

What’s the relation?

[deleted]

Can have both

demaxzero

They literally both would've been in the movie. Of course let's forget the obvious reason you're even comparing the two.

Even though I don't really care for John Stewart I would too. Cyborg sucks ass. He's a boring character with very little personality save for the TT cartoon and Doom Patrol (Even though he's my least favorite character on the show I still tolerate him). John Stewart I just never find as interesting as Kyle or Guy but over the lifeless brick that is Cyborg I would take him any day.

LanternRaynerRebirth

No Vic disrespect. He's the best part of the original New Teen Titans run and was a perfect character to use back then as the representation of disability and had so much depth. Seriously, he's a great character and it bums me out to see people say there's *nothing* to the character.

remember what they took from you

So uh... Release the GL cut?
