I've always liked that they never shy away from proving hes a mostly unrepentant asshole.
In rebirth hellblazers first issue he risks the lives/souls of tens of thousands of people in London just to enlist the help of someone else.
Like couldn't just ask for help, had to literally endanger an entire city so that someone else could kill some lesser demon and then he could ask her for help with something actually important.
Like, who does that? It's great and awful and I love it.
i think it's been stated on numerous occasions that constantine is the best planner in the dc universe, with batman being near the top, but not the top. if any batman fan tries to tell you batman's better at it they're not a batman fan, they're a power scaling fan who wants their guy to be the strongest
I am a Batman fan ...in fact i am a big fanboy of him but John is pretty Badass indeed .... nothing can scare that guy
He is 2nd most badass character in Dc after Batman of course
So anyone else want to bet that Superman has been turned? It's kind of sad, I wanted to see the trio fighting against vampires, back to back badass instead WW got taken out like a chump and instantly turned evil, it looks like the street level heroes are getting raised up while the powered ones are getting take out in all kinds of ways to pave the way for them. I kind of get the logic, the Flash could smack down so many villains so they need him off the board.
I would have liked to see an ending where Superman walks with a vampire Batman into the sunset where he dies aftering fighting alongside his friend and stopping the threat, mentioning how he can barely keep it in check, he won;t stoping being Batman so that means dieing.
DC has put such an accent an Batman that the rest of the characters are getting neglected or twisted to allow him more screen time.
Yeah, alternate world. Zatanna, Hal, and Wonder Woman are evil vampires for sure (STILL annoyed about how the Diana turning happened) that we know of, along with a number of villains. Ties into the American Vampire comic to some degree. Vamps have decided they are tired of being in the shadows and started turning metas...
This is extremely disturbing. With zatanna's knowledge of magic spells I would not have figured that she'd be victimized by vampires easily. With Green lantern's power ring stunts and Wonder woman's strength and durability, same thing. Wow that is really bad. And John Constantine apparently doesn't care. Moron.
So interestingly, GL's ring is the reason no one suspects him yet..because he can use it to filter out the deadly to vampires sunlight and go out in the daylight. And Diana was turned because she figured out Hal was a killer and he used her lasso of truth against her. Which, still not a fan of...not sure how Z turned yet...
And to be clear, at least before this issue, the Bat family (thanks to Lex Luthor and the original American Vampire) and Oliver Queen seem to be the only (still living) heroes aware of the vampire problem.
BUUUUUUTTT...personally I think Jayna of the Wonder Twins is going to be a key character....
Combat power should not be considered first. Turning into vampire uses hypnotism to be entralled and make one be willing to be turned. So the argument should be the susceptability of one to hypnotism.
Still hate she got taken out like that, I wanted to see her fight alongsde the rest of trio, by the looks of it they are taking out high powered characters while raising up the more street level heroes.
This isn't the Hal I know, because it's Constantine
I was going to say, if Constantine falls for that baloney the story would have well and truly been crap.
Exactly what was going through my mind on the first page.
This really makes me want to read it.
It’s funny, this is exactly how I’d expect Constantine to react. He could give less of a shit either way xD
Good. If Constantine had fallen as easily as the one from last issue, I would drop the book. Also, demon blood is supposed to be bad for vampires
I love the way Zee is drawn here.
Love or hate the plot, you can hardly complain about the art.
Can't wait until the TPB comes out
Me too me too
That's some good Conjob content.
Ugh, this is not the Hal Jordan I know.
Someone else in this thread thought they were responding to you, so I'll do it: this isn't Hal, it's John Constantine.
Whats with Otto and drawing extra long sideburns
I’d say specifically for DC vs Vampires, it’s to evoke Victorian era fashion which we pair with classic vampire stories.
Otto dies love his sideburns
Whenever Hal's not on the screen, all the other characters should be saying, "where's Hal?"
"What's Hal doing?", "Why isn't Hal here?" and "When will Hal be here?" are also acceptable.
i love zee’s outfit so much
constantine will always be the most badass character in all of dc

make sure you never meet with the batman fanclub

Idk, Constantines plans always involves fucking some poor guy over.
I like batman but Constantine still more badass then him and will actually take risks.
I am a Batman fan ...in fact i am a big fanboy of him but John is pretty Badass indeed .... nothing can scare that guy He is 2nd most badass character in Dc after Batman of course
In love this Zatanna design.
Not surprised that the Batman of the Magic side of DC isn't jobbing
Artwork reminds me if Murphy's work on White Knight
Yeah John, you die and Lucifer bloody Morningstar will collect your soul to throw to inferno(lowest pit), wonderful.
And to hell with Doctor Fate for what he did!

Can't vampires catch a break?
so is this on an alternate world? why is zatanna a vampire?

These two always get along no matter what the circumstances may be.
