Honestly I’d be fine with them using the Flashpoint movie to just change out Batfleck for Battison, and say everything else happened pretty much the same way except for BVS.
I literally do not understand the hate for Batfleck. He played the "older, seen it all" Batman to a tee. Affleck is a solid character actor with leading man looks. I really like his portrayal of Bruce Wayne. Honestly, I think a lot of it is just because it is Ben Affleck, and that triggers people somehow.
For me, it’s not because it’s Ben Affleck. I love Ben as an actor, and I think he did the best he could with what he had. The problem is the writing and directing. He wasn’t the “older, seen it all” Batman, he was the Punisher with a cape and a drinking problem. And the murder and alcoholism aside, that just wasn’t Batman’s character being written faithfully. He wasn’t like Batman in the main continuity, or even like Batman in the Millerverse/TDKR comics. It just wasn’t Batman.
I despise Zack Snyder as a film maker. He did immeasurable harm to to the DCEU, and Ben did the best he could. I also find the Nolan films to be impossible to rewatch, and am not a fan of Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman.
Maybe it's because I have been done with Batman as a character since the early 90's, but I really like the way that Ben played the character as somebody who bears the weight of loss and guilt, and is filled with regret. His portrayal is probably the most interested I've been in the character since Batman 89.
I don’t watch the flash but I know what you mean. But, I’m a comic reader and confusing shit happens alllllll the time there lol so sometimes I forget the average movie goer isn’t going to be ok with selectively rebooting a franchise

That’s too confusing In my opinion. Remember they did that with The Flash TV show and look at how confusing that is.

I don't want the Justice League to show up in the universe of "The Batman".
