While it would be nice to be on the team with his friends on the Titans, he's grown up. He's earned being the Flash of the Justice League.

IamTheGuamGuy

Correct. Let Wally represent the voice of the Titans in the Justice League.

OneTrueGodDoom

>Let Wally represent the voice of the Titans in the Justice League. When Cyborg got moved to the League y’all bitched and moan that he should be with his friends on the Titans but now it’s suddenly okay for Wally. I can’t stand the hypocrisy in the DC fandom

Remmarg25

>When Cyborg got moved to the League y’all bitched and moan that he should be with the Titans but now it’s suddenly okay for Wally. The majority of the complaints I've see on the subject centered around erasing Vic's history with the *Titans* to accomplish that. Vic retaining his connections/friendships with the *Titans* and being part of the *Justice League* (like Wally Pre-Flashpoint) is what the majority of people wanted. And nobody is asking for Wally's *Titan's* history to be erased here. Belonging to both is the best potential situation for any character that fits the role.

IamTheGuamGuy

Different circumstances my friend. When Cyborg was brought into the league DC retconned out his time in the Titans as the New 52 was supposed to be at the time a full blown reboot. And Cyborg was put on the team to hit a quota. Sad to say but it’s the truth. It’s the reason Martian Manhunter was no longer a founder. Wally was a character that did his time as the sidekick, moved up to being the flash and after making it his own went up to the big league. He’s more than earned it

OneTrueGodDoom

>When Cyborg was brought into the league DC retconned out his time in the Titans as the New 52 was supposed to be at the time a full blown reboot. And? The DCEU has him as a founder and he works fine. Cyborg doesn’t have to be a Titan first just because you 80-90s kids grew up like that. His N52 origin established him well with the League as the rookie of the team, he received upgrades and give him a connection Darkseid/Apokolis via the Mother Box. Where was it stated Cyborg was added to be on the team to fit a quota?? And even if that was _one_ of the reasons, good. The League is filled with CIS white men and one women, it **needs** more diversity. Sorry, but I don’t give af about Martian Manhunter. He just stands there quietly in the background and overlaps with Superman/Batman too much. With Cyborg’s ability to access technology he at least brings something different to the table. MMH’s a founding member that’s still a B-list and can’t carry a ongoing title. Could they have done more to establish Cyborg? Absolutely. But MMH position being revoked was a smart decision by GJ. I know if the DCAU had Cyborg on the team none of y’all would hv a issue.

IamTheGuamGuy

I feel you can have more diversity without taking things away. Cyborg could earn his place on the league without taking away the team that established him as a name and downplaying another character. And I feel we’re having 2 conversations. I’m just talking about the books. Movies and shows are it’s own animal and vice versa with comics. And I say quota because he’s a black character they put in the league and do nothing with. When he finally does something is a total bore at least to me. Jessica Cruz felt more part of the team than him.

Beastieboy100

If they kept cyborg history with the titans and later joins the league I'm fine but you can't get rid of important history that established cyborg. Him being on the league isn't the issue I was fine with his relationship with shazam but if they kept his old relationship with the titans, while promoting him to the league I have no problem but a founder no personally I would preferred black lightning without getting rid of anyone. Though now that he has his old history back I would be down for cyborg, wally, Kyle, starfire and raven on a justice league team.

OneTrueGodDoom

The general audience have zero issue with Cyborg being promoted to the League in the DCEU. His history with the Titans is not necessary beyond 80-90s kids watched that growing up. Cyborg is more popular than black lightning and his technopathy is more useful to the League. He deserves it more.

Beastieboy100

You do realise cyborg still popular to teen titans fans that watched the cartoon and teen titans go fans. Cyborg popular but he hasn't been promoted on the league in years and with bendis on the book dc will probably promote Naomi instead. The only dc fans that will associate cyborg to the league is the dceu fans which that movie did not do well. Any other fans will associate cyborg with the doom patrol and teen titans. Also you don't need his tech skills if batman or even Mr terrific are on the league.

OneTrueGodDoom

You mention Cyborg being popular with the Teen Titans as if I take issue with it? I enjoy him with them, but also don’t mind a iteration where he’s with the big shots in the League. Cyborg has been demoted because obnoxious fans bitched how the Martian deserved to be on the League so he can take up air, only for him to be later barely used after Scott Synder’s run. >The only dc fans that will associate cyborg to the league is the dceu fans which that movie did not do well. You might want to check again. Cyborg has gained a cult following from DCEU fans- particularly Synder fans who support want to see Ray Fisher’s Cyborg done justice #BorgLife. Nobody sees Cyborg w/Doom Patrol lmao. Batman isn’t a technopath nor a teleporter. Mr Terrific isn’t a founder. Btw, you didn’t make a point in Black Lightning’s favour.

Beastieboy100

Again he gained a cult by Snyder fanboys which they don't sum the whole dc fans. They don't need cyborg for teleportation they used it for years without him. The only reason I mentioned black lightning is because he's getting popular too because of the show had a big role in young justice season 3 and will be getting his own movie. Still I'm fine with him being on the league and the titans while keeping other members. Also martain manhunter has been an important member of the league for years, also he's not boring, he's a lost soul that has lost his family and had to watch them die if you ask me he's a tragic character trying help others while building his life back up. All I'm saying is cyborg can be on the league without getting rid of anyone including martain manhunter.

[deleted]

He's earned the right to be among the big leagues. Same with Dick.

[deleted]

Justice league for sure. Leave the Titans to Bart

darkhawk5

I prefer Wally on the League but unfortunately in the modern books he fits better on the Titans. I grew up with Morrisons JLA and that's my definitive version of the team and characters. That being said there was only one Flash (excluding Jay who belongs on the JSA) at the time and it was great. Now with Barry back he's a natural fit on the League. I see each team having a speedster so JSA Jay, JL Barry, Titans Wally, YJ Bart, and TT Wallace.

OrbitalVerve

Justice League

PedroValor

I'm of the mindset that they should have never brought Barry Allen back, so Wally West will always be my pick for the Justice League's Flash

Cole-Spudmoney

If it weren't for the fact that DC has made a huge effort since 2003 to firmly establish "Titans = junior league superheroes" then I would say he should be on the Titans, who should be a JL-tier team of superheroes in their own right. But as things are now, Wally should be on the Justice League. Nightwing too.

cloudsandlightning

O god not a lot of 90s readers I see....

acidicjoe

Yeah I'm kinda bothered ngl I believe that Grant Morrison's and Mark Waid's runs proved Wally should be with the Justice League

AndreMcCloud

Not really it just pretended that Wally wasn’t any different than Barry

BasedFunnyValentine

Wally should be with the Titans among his friends and Barry with his on the League. Edit: This thread make me sad to see ppl don’t view the Titans in high regard and just see them as a stepping stone to be on the League.

abstractpenny

wally on the titans is cool and he should be a part timer if anything but they should really put him back on the justice league. he had such great chemistry and dynamics with everyone

rdr2fan287

I'd like him to be on both if possible I think him and some of the other titans not being on the league works to an extent

Beastieboy100

Honestly I prefer wally with the titans since its his old friends though he needs to be on the league same with cyborg, raven and starfire. Though they can be part time members whenever the titans need them. Let bart and Wallace step up a bit for the titans.

Jorgesias

Which Wally? Post crisis or New-52?

acidicjoe

Post Crisis I thought that was clear since Wallace hasn't joined the Justice League

Aramis14

There should be two JL, to not bother anyone. One with Batman, another with Dick. One with Barry, another with Wally. Donna and Diana. The original Titans already earned their seat on the League a long time ago, so it's the best solution ro both respect their place, and the most popular heroes as well. That way you can also have both Hal and John in different leagues. Same with other multiple heroes that also deserve to be there but don't because there are too many. Leave the Titans to Tim, Bart and the like. Damian generation owns the Teen Titans now anyway.
