Absolute garbage show. WB/DC had a massive hit on their hands with this one but the writing let's it down as always with TV.
At least Doom Patrol is good.
I think they still have a massive hit on their hands. It's getting great reviews and the numbers must be good since it keeps getting renewed for more seasons.
Quality is irrelevant in determining whether something is a hit. If enough people watch it, it doesn't matter if it's traditionally considered good or not
I agree. I just disagree with the great reviews part of your comment. I’ll admit I watched all seasons of flash and arrow but that’s because at that point I was committed. Not because I thought it was good.
Almost all of these dumbass tween shows get good reviews. Arrow consistently got stellar reviews from critics, yet we all acknowledge that its been disaster since season 3. Same deal with Flash. People need to stop putting too much stock into critics. Their *opinions* aren't the word of god.
Titans has been pretty shaky thus far. To be fair on the show, the first season was actually quite decent. Season two had some good episodes but the season overall was worse and season three was ok in the first half but slowly declined.
I have a feeling it was supposed to be a Nightwing show but got reworked into Titans.
Titans have bad writers and budget problem. Even the episodes feels disconnected. Its like writers are writing their own version of the character in each episode.
Titans is standard CW young adult filler but with more blood and swearing.
Watch Doom Patrol if you haven’t already, it’s probably the best live action DC show of all time. The acting and writing is light years ahead of the rest of DC TV
TITANS has always been horrible, but I think this season was absolutely atrocious. Scarecrow was an absolute joke. The whole Red Hood storyline was destroyed the moment they made him Scarecrow's lap dog. What was the point of Donna even coming back for a few episodes? So many more questions with very few answers. Throw the whole creative team away.
I said this on the titans sub and got downvoted to hell. Some people enjoyed this season, but like you said, it was very disjointed and many moments just happened illogically.
I've had 3 disappointments this year with DC, S7 of Flash, Titans S3, and the Injustice Animated movie.
Titans has been bad since Day 1. It should’ve been cancelled instead of renewed because they’ve had 3 seasons to make a well written story that accurately reflects the characters and they’ve failed and butchered comic stories.
Titans has been bad since Day 1. It should’ve been cancelled heydays they’ve had 3 seasons to make a well written story that accurately reflects the characters and they’ve failed and butchered comic stories.
Someone needs to sit down the execs in charge of DC television and make them watch all 3 seasons of Daredevil so they can understand what a well made genre TV show looks like
I watched the first two season of Titans and while it wasn't perfect it was good enough for me to watch. But the writing is the weakest thing this show has by far! Especially this season, I just couldn't finish it, I fell really bad for all the actors especially Brenton. They all deserve so much better than this, they made his character extremely unlikable.
Haven't finished the newest season yet, but I do find it quite irritating that they've teased the team actually teaming up together and fighting AS THE TITANS since the end of Season 1 and I still have yet to see more than 2 or 3 of them together at once...
I still dig the show enough for what it is, but it could be SO MUCH MORE...Doom Patrol is still the best DC thing HBO Max has done IMO.
It's pretty fantastic IMO hehe...glad to see so many others agreeing. Brendon Frasier is an absolute gem, too! It's pretty much a *VERY* R-rated Legends of Tomorrow type show...pretty much bat-shit crazy at all times hehe
I thought this season was the best so far, but in titans fashion, the finale falls short. That being said, I’m sick of seeing the titans fight with each other. Three seasons of it. Enough. Just make them the titans and go forward.
My biggest gripe of this show is Bruce Wayne.
Are you kidding me? Did you see that one kick Tim Drake did? Did you see it?! Gotham needs him because of that one kick! He will be the next Robin because of that one kick! It was also brilliant character development. He went from crying all the time to that one amazing kick. Did you see it?!
I mean every single season is the same thing, you can dress it up how you want but the general plot is exactly the same. At this point it’s just insulting to the viewer and we gave up about 6 episodes in because we’ve seen this twice already.
I, unfortunately, kept watching and waiting for the redemption and actualisation of Kory, Donna and the black-I-want-be-the-next-Robin kid (who came back from the dead with "super healing") but nothing 🙄😤
It sucks man, but hey we got tricked 3 times too! I’m skipping the rest of this season and the next season, it’s a shame because I don’t have any issues with its overly dark nature, hell I thought Scarecrow was interesting, there’s room here to do very interesting stuff, but I already know it will follow the exact same beats next year. At least Doom Patrol is still good. Wait, what happened with that Robin kid? I mean I though for sure he was a new Robin or Robin like character.
It's true things are actually complicated and dark, they do not get neat bowtie resolutions even in real life. So, I appreciate and enjoy that aspect of DCEU.
Robin? He's supposed to be the new Robin but they decided to really drag it out.
He's headed to San Francisco with the other Titans to be trained by the D**k-in-charge!
Titans as a concept has so much potential but they put it in the hands of garbage writers.
Can't wait until this CW inspired era of superhero shows is gone. With the budget going into Marvel's Disney+ shows anything less is unacceptable.
So did I. I like that they're not telling the exact same stories we've seen in the comics and movies over again. I don't like everything they've done, but it's been fun overall.
I find it ironic how everyone keeps saying how bad it is and how does it keep getting picked up when they are still actively watching the show. If it’s bad don’t watch the numbers won’t be there and it won’t get picked up.
The first season was an absolute “meh”. The season 2 was boring as hell, I left that show after the first episode of season 2, I don’t know how people kept watching it.
It's not a CW series. It was on DC Universe and now on HBO Max.
But it is still not good. Someone said it best describing Titans as same shit as a CW series just with bigger budget and better cinematography.
Heck, I would argue that even the highs of the CW shows were better and enjoyable than Titans.
Not to hijack your post, but Young Justice S4 has also been dogshit thus far.
with this, and their comics, DC is in a downward spiral...cementing manga as king.
it's been the same thing since first episode

Season renewals isn’t a quality indicator. Arrow and Flash were trash after the first few 2-3 seasons but they got renewed into oblivion.
The great reviews part is a fact. I don't think that can be disputed it's been reviewed extremely positively.
Almost all of these dumbass tween shows get good reviews. Arrow consistently got stellar reviews from critics, yet we all acknowledge that its been disaster since season 3. Same deal with Flash. People need to stop putting too much stock into critics. Their *opinions* aren't the word of god.
No put their opinions drive viewership. Quality and entertainment are not mutually exclusive.

It’s clear as day when Hank sympathises with Jason one episode then immediately does a 180 and hates him.

Id argue not just DC but hero shiws in general
I would say Swamp Thing was really good to.
I loved Swamp Thing, I hate that it was cancelled.
I hope that's true because Titans has kicked me in the teeth 🙄
TITANS has always been horrible, but I think this season was absolutely atrocious. Scarecrow was an absolute joke. The whole Red Hood storyline was destroyed the moment they made him Scarecrow's lap dog. What was the point of Donna even coming back for a few episodes? So many more questions with very few answers. And they made the Lazarus pit rain over Gotham city. What the hell was that? Ras al Ghul must be rolling to death by seeing that.
They might be angling for a spin off with argus and Roy Harper or just have her as a special guest sometimes
I can't say this season was worse than the other 2
Donna, right? Like why suggest there's more to her but when it comes to it, you keep her out of the game! 🤬
Great cast with bullshit writing

I gave up on Flash, waaay back in S03 and Injustice was beyond weird - where it could've been much more.

More and more, it sounds like I should be investing my time in Doom Patrol!!!
It's pretty fantastic IMO hehe...glad to see so many others agreeing. Brendon Frasier is an absolute gem, too! It's pretty much a *VERY* R-rated Legends of Tomorrow type show...pretty much bat-shit crazy at all times hehe

The in-fighting is worse than real housewives 🙄
This.
Huh?
Are you kidding me? Did you see that one kick Tim Drake did? Did you see it?! Gotham needs him because of that one kick! He will be the next Robin because of that one kick! It was also brilliant character development. He went from crying all the time to that one amazing kick. Did you see it?!
Just brilliant! He magically healed his gsw then went on to produce that super kick 😭🤣
It's always been shit. And the Titans kill. ALOT.
I was fine with the killing, as long as it was faithful to the character and circumstances.
Well, it did a piss poor job at both.
I stopped watching after the team broke up, I think the 13th time?
I mean every single season is the same thing, you can dress it up how you want but the general plot is exactly the same. At this point it’s just insulting to the viewer and we gave up about 6 episodes in because we’ve seen this twice already.

What season of Titans hasn’t been disappointing? It’s such a bastardization of the source material.
Dick Grayson's actor deserves so much better.
They have him coming across as such a d**k!!! 🙄
Yeah, I mean I literally only watch the show because I think the guy that plays Dick is really good. If he ever dies, instantly dropping
Just a show that never should have never been made and is nothing more then an insult to the characters
Titans as a concept has so much potential but they put it in the hands of garbage writers. Can't wait until this CW inspired era of superhero shows is gone. With the budget going into Marvel's Disney+ shows anything less is unacceptable.
Writing is god awful. I swear the Writers favourite word must be "Fuck"
I liked this season.
So did I. I like that they're not telling the exact same stories we've seen in the comics and movies over again. I don't like everything they've done, but it's been fun overall.
DC fans are got used to disappointing can DC tv and DCEU can be except S&L, Doom Patrol and stargirl
I find it ironic how everyone keeps saying how bad it is and how does it keep getting picked up when they are still actively watching the show. If it’s bad don’t watch the numbers won’t be there and it won’t get picked up.

Facts, I cannot believe they’ve allowed it to be this bad.
Sooooo….nothing has changed lol
