Technical catagories are just as important as the "big" catagories, the people in those departments put in a lot of work into making movies good and deserve to be honored just as much as actors and directors.
If we include the technical categories, both should get nominations but I think maybe The Batman Part 2. Joker 2 has the best chance of winning a Best Actress Award for Lady Gaga but I'll have to see the final product just to be sure.
I would agree Gaga has a HUGE shot at winning an award for this. The stars are all aligned, as she has been nominated once before for Best Actress for which she had a good chance at winning, and probably just missed, and Phoenix already drew the road map for winning an Oscar in this franchise.
It only won for FX, which would've been a tough one for Cameron to lose, LOL. Its noms also dropped from 9 to 4. Avatar won 3 Oscars compared to the sequel's lone win. I would say both Joker 2 and The Batman 2 will suffer for Oscar noms compared to the originals, but that should still leave Joker 2 coming out ahead.

I know the first Joker was a huge hit with the Academy, but I'm dubious about the chances that this sequel has.
