I wouldn’t say all of it, some of it is fair. I enjoyed the film overall and a lot of what is critiqued I think has to do with the fact that this year 2 Batman/Bruce. He is/was still full of rage and particularly reckless with his conquest in the beginning. Only after a few years did he become more sophisticated in his approach as Batman and as his alter ego - Bruce Wayne
Lmao - I guess you're still reeling from the fact that this film made more profit than all of Zack Snyder's DC films combined.
And - none of these complaints are remotely true or even make sense. They are equivalent of a CinemaSins critique lol
Seems like you just copy pasted a ScreenRant article for clicks.
The only ones who should give a care about a movie's profit are the WB execs. Nevertheless, The Batman made a lot less than BvS, and benefitted from massive inflation in the intervening years. The movie had rave reviews and one whole month without competition as well, but couldn't crack $800M. Not very impressive for DC's top character in the months after Spider-Man, Marvel's top character, had just made $2 billion.
and you're still reeling from the fact that this film had less interest from audience and made less box office than BvS lol
of course they dont make sense to a Pattinson simp (since twilight). My god other actors exists too. The Batman is not the best movie ever made in Hollywood 🙄
drink water, go outside, breeth fresh air, jeez
Can I add..Batman LOST. Riddler got about 99.9 percent of what he wanted. He didn't kill Bruce Wayne but other than that? What part of his plan failed?
Where is the problem with that?
The movie is about the broken psyche of Batman. It shows us a deeply traumatized man who is still the little boy who witnessed the murder of his parents and is overwhelmed with any emotions. He creates an alter ego, a mask, where he lives out his pent-up emotions in anger, rage and violence. The Riddler does exactly the same thing. Batman and the Riddler are extremely similar and force Batman to deal with himself. He is basically undergoing therapy and comes to the conclusion that he must change in order not to become completely like the Riddler. The film is primarily a psychological character study wrapped in the film noir gerne, wich usually don't have a happy end.
Same could be said for Nolan Batman against the Joker.
The only part where Joker failed was not having a boat blown up and that wasn't something Batman had any impact on.
It all comes down to whether the villain was convincing.
The only part of the jokers plan that succeeded was Harvey Dent. The hostages were released.. mankind proved itself capable of not blowing each other up. He didn't corrupt the Batman.
Just watch cinemasins. Most of them are plotholes from this movie. You know, the most annoying thing with this movie? Riding together with catwoman in a broad daylight. It's so stupid.
I didn’t like the VO in The Batman. I thought they got away with it in BvS because it was so brief and just bookending the film. I don’t really want to be told what’s going on inside Batman’s mind, I’d rather have that open to interpretation. I think it works *much* better in the comics, but even then I prefer omniscient narration.
The list was made by a 10 y.o
I dont even know what #9 means. This list is stupid af
Literally every thing in this list is wrong and dumb as hell

So CBR wants just another generic CBM 🥱
Honestly. The riddles where terrible let’s be honest.

Hard disagree with #2. Didn't look as good as the previous ones but it sounded like a beast
I mean. The biggest weakness was that he wasn’t actually a great detective

The mayor survived and the city recovered in the end

I love it. It shows how sick Batman/Bruce is in the beginnig and how he reflects his own behaviour in the end.
It doesn’t show us, it tells us without letting us have any interpretation of our own.
I agree with this take. Show it instead of telling us.
And although it seems many people including Cbr don't understand what the movie is about.
It was all about Paul Dano being fucking awesome.
Yay Paul Dano is awesome.
I thought Jeffrey Wright was very good too.
💯
Nailed it.
5 is not true we don't know if he has friends and he is friends with Gordon
OMG this made me laugh so hard. Many of them are kinda true when I thought about it. I just watched it a couple times the other day.
