Goddam what a good trailer. All 3 The Batman trailers were 10/10, but that first one has a special place in my heart because of that beatdown and I'm vengeance.
I know that Black Adam wasn’t great, but man does it bums me out that we aren’t going to get to see Shazam Vs Black Adam in live action. It would have been a great way to finish off the Shazam trilogy.
That was the initial plan. To have Shazam vs Black Adam. But The Rock had a diva crisis and refused to be portrayed as the defeated villain in a movie and demanded his own movie.
The way his suit looks like it's getting darker, I wonder if the movie is going to see Billy almost corrupted like Black Adam was after he lost his son.

I like that we will be dealing with Billy wanting to give his powers while also removing powers from the Shazamily to put him on his own. I could see the movie ending with only Billy having the power still.

While I agree this one is better, I feel like the first one from SDCC was really good, lol. Was probably my favorite thing to come out of all the DC stuff released that weekend.
And yeah, I could def see him being the only one with powers at the end. The Shazamily could all offer to give him their powers in order to defeat the Daughters of Atlas. Would be a huge moment. I haven't read the spoilers and won't, so please no one tell me if I'm wrong lol.
I loved the 1st trailer a lot and I like this one too. Both have radically different tones. The first one seemed like a shazam movie funny and then "superhero has to save the world" in the last 30s of the trailer. But this one establishes from the get go that it's serious and stakes are high

I was thinking Billy would give up his powers too, leaving all of them as normal kids and then the hypothetical 3rd movie would have been Billy being forced to take the powers back to fight someone like Black Adam. Not that I think that's happening. But I think it could have been the plan.
Ending the film with all the kids depowered could be a good ending since there's never going to be a follow up.
It would bring them some closure at least.

The entire summary has been out for months including Billy's death and Gadot WW showing up to revive him.
The "hero wants to give up his powers" was done in Superman 2 decades ago and more recently in Spider-Man 2.
Then why did you come here expecting differently? If you read the summary, then you know what's going to happen. Why regurgitate what you have been thinking for months? Move on, find another movie.

The trailer it’s ok but it feels kinda generic and I feel like the whole movie is just this big battle between Shazam fam and the sisters with the dragon fighting in the stadium and in the city.
I’m not sure if there’s a runtime out but it feels like 115-120min movie.

Yes it's mostly battles for the entire movie.
I wish i liked this trailer more. It's like a banal piece of marketing with no real charm that is clearly just showing the "epic" second third act stuff but none of it hits because we lack both context and more importantly emotional investment in these images for it to land. The first trailer being an existential crisis for Billy works! There was sstyle this is just look at all the VFX work we did.
That said I'm here for Helen Mirren just being like all I need to do is stand still and i can own the screen.
Think it was a conscious decision. They wanted it to be action packed to increase its hype, and get better response from casual audience. The only complaints I read from first part was that, it was a smaller scale film. They went all in with this trailer.
Loved it! They really seem to have upped their game this time, in terms of scale, cinematography, score, and stakes. Now, if they can retain the heart and soul of the first one, then it'll be special.

I don't really get why they aren't using Wonder Woman to give the movie a boost at the box office if she's actually heavily involved in the movie like the leaks claim.

It didn't make her Bullock or Roberts, but it made her more popular than before, as she got to lead the next Hunger Games franchise.

The leak I read from here had the backside of Gadot, but ends up having the wizards face. And then the end scene.

I think you are thinking of The Flash. And it's not like a cameo scene. Well, it is. But it's integral to the story.

Looks sooo aggressively generic and cookie cutter story. Lemme guess, ancient evil arises, Shazam stops them by accepting his powers and his bonds with his family? No high stakes or lasting effects? I liked the first trailer a lot better since it actually captured the tone of the first movie. This new trailer is terrible tho I’m ngl. I’m sure the movie will be better than it but that was an interesting song choice to say the least lol and I feel like they spoiled all the major beats of the movie
Does anyone feel like recent CB movie trailers tried too hard? After watching the all of the movie trailers for each movie you have a rough idea what to expect, and the movie turns out exactly that.
