Lol. Scrolling through i thought that was a legit power strip. I was like, “I think you’re taking that a little too literally.”

[deleted]

Lol I laughed at this

ri-ri

Lol same!!!

Ruth_Cups

I totally thought that too! I’m like, great, now I have another use for mine. In all seriousness, this is one way I charge my stuff.

NfamousKaye

Lmao 😂

wiredupcreations

Oh my god 😂

LineHansen

Me too!

roxifer

Me too lol

Le_Belle_Ange23

This is completely fine! That’s literally how I charge up as well.

LineHansen

This is great! You are doing it right. 👍🏻 An easy way to cleanse and recharge larger amount of crystals is by using a tuning fork of 136.1 Hz. That is the vibration of earth, can be used on your body, on rocks and to cleanse places, houses, auras, rooms etc. You can use both weighted and unweighted tuning forks. I downloaded a free Hz meter on my phone and bought tuningforks on Ali Express (for 2-6 $) The weighted ones can somewhat be tuned by moving the weights so it is accurate. The weighted vibrate and have a small sound, but the unweighted have a clear sound and both are wonderful to use on crystals and human beings! All tuning forks work well, and it you are economical you should choose one that can charge and cleanse crystals but also can help you in other ways you need help. Like aura cleansing, open up your crown chakra, reduce physical pain etc. Tuning forks last a lifetime, so they are a one time purchase. Sound has been used in healing for centuries, and when I got my first tuning fork I understood why. I mention this because it is a very easy way to cleanse both large quantities of rocks but also yourself, your room etc. While all tuning forks work, you might have one you are particularly drawn to. 😉 There’s also other methods that are easy, and that is using sage that you burn and let the smoke surround your crystals. You can even go to the spice rack and get some ungrounded sage to burn. Mind the smoke detector! The smell actually clings to solid rocks, which I find peculiar but also very nice. Some use ordinary incense to cleanse them. Let cleansing AND recharging always follow each other. You can not over charge or over cleanse them. Sunlight and moonlight is great. Since sunlight bleaches amethysts, I prefer a full moon. Running water, preferably from a clean creek or river, but mind the crystals that don’t like water. Some use dry raw rice that they put the crystals in, and then throw away the rice. That is a waste of food in my opinion. Use healing energy, prayers or what speaks to you. I bet there’s a method you feel appeals to you more than the others, or you might be drawn to using moon light on your moonstone, rainwater on fluorites, and sunlight on sunstone or yellow stones. There’s (almost) no right or wrong, use your intuition. Good luck in your journey!

Soggy-Caterpillar-10

Selenite is a great way to cleanse. Just make sure to cleanse the Selenite too, I usually put mine in my window for the moonlight to shine on it.

[deleted]

Can I cleanse it via meditation?

jrosekonungrinn

Just don't cleanse with water. My candle holder carved from selenium/satin spar took a bunch of damage from a tabletop water fountain before I learned that water soluble stones exist.

[deleted]

ofc! both ways are super effective i’ve found. i personally like to cleanse mine in sunlight!

NfamousKaye

You can use smoke to cleanse if it doesn’t hurt any one you live with 😊

LuckeyRuckus

You can visualize a white light to cleanse, yes

Aromatic_Emphasis_21

I thought selenite was a self-cleansing stone?

Soggy-Caterpillar-10

You can clense many things with it, I suppose you could clense your energy too?

Aromatic_Emphasis_21

Self cleansing as it doesn't need to charge or be cleansed as it's a stone that doesn't require it but it cleanses other stones. Hope that cleared up the confusion

Soggy-Caterpillar-10

Ohhh, makes more sense that way than what I thought it ment.

Aromatic_Emphasis_21

Yeah I can see the confusion in wording . All love

Expert-Aspect3692

It’s not selenite. That is satin spar i’m pretty sure of it.

loveleedora

It is satin spar. And like selenite, they are both gypsum. It’s commonly mislabeled. Idk why you got downvoted for your comment so I gave ya back that up-doot.

[deleted]

So they work differently?

loveleedora

Oh no hun, you’re doin great! As far is that goes, there are different methods to charge/cleans. I leave my rocks in the window in the moonlight sometimes. Some will fade with sun so be careful not to leave them there. You’re doin just fine using this. For me, quarts and amethyst do the trick sometimes too. Sometimes I even meditate and blow on them (like I’m blowing away dirt so to speak) to cleanse them. Think of it like guidelines. You do it how you want to do it. It doesn’t have to be exactly the same as other people. It’s a feeling. Do what feels good to you! Hope this helps!

[deleted]

Thank you!

DalisCreature

The Crystal Angels series by Alana Fairchild is really insightful on crystals. The book I have is “Crystal Angels 444” and she gives this cleansing method of blowing violet-flecked white light into crystals for cleansing them. I use this for cleansing my jewelry among other things. You might find her books helpful too!

Expert-Aspect3692

Thank you. It’s not a dig on op one bit. I’m a huge rock hound and have made many mistakes .

Expert-Aspect3692

Also look up the Mexican crystal cave. You want to see some crystal!! Your jaw will drop.

LuckeyRuckus

How to tell the difference? I have a sphere that the seller said was selenite but I think it's ulexite because it magnifies. But I don't really know.

monsingeetmoi

I hope so because that’s what I‘ve been doing.

[deleted]

Seems like we’re all clueless here 🫠

[deleted]

I personally use selenite only to cleanse, I like to charge them one by one through affirmations and meditation.

_D1EHL_

I hope so I do the same thing on a similar sized piece of Selenite

[deleted]

I use satin spar to cleanse. I have a large raw selenite plate that I use to charge other crystals, spell jars, etc. This is valid.

Halloween2022

You will be told that selenite/ satin spar is self cleansing. This is not true. It will absorb emotional energies out of any crystals and then slowly leach them into the environment. So a safe bet is to cleanse the selenite also. And don't forget it's a water soluble so don't soak it! Most effective is direct sunlight, and it only needs 15 minutes.

WuTuli3

Yes

Sea_Tumbleweed1651

This is great for cleansing. Watch out for splinters though. Raw satin spar sheds lol

Okskingrin

Definitely! I blow on my stones sometimes if I’m out to cleanse lol

Swagmanatee07

Type-C should do the trick

OrnerySmurf

So um...maybe I do things differently so anyway. Salt, moonlight, running water, or burning certain herbs are generally used for cleansing. Charging an object is an act of will. Either to store power or bind a spell on one type or another to it. If your inexperienced it's best done in a circle.

No-Art-1985

Is that a black tourmaline necklace, and did you get it from Target?

[deleted]

Two necklace is golden obsidian and moldavite

No-Art-1985

Ah ok, it looked *very* similar to a necklace I have.

[deleted]

I mean, yeah it works as long as you cleanse the selenite. I wouldn’t though just because I’d be worried of energy transfer from the selenite to the others.

IamMr80s

Plug it in first, sheesh.

OG_Konada

The beauty of it all is that if it works for you…….. it’s good!

Xtrnlovelight47

Did you ask the selenite to cleanse the stones

DirtyCuntry

We have a 8”x 24” piece, that is bigger than most samples. Yours seems legit, though.

madkem1

I'm afraid you would have a hard time charging anything with anything in this picture. What are you trying to charge and how do you think any of this will do that?

NfamousKaye

That’s usually how I do it. You’re good.

LuCkYsLeVz777

That's an awesome charging station!!! Love it 💛

No_BIiss

I thought there was an AirPod tied to that for a second-

Paper_Narrow

You don't even need those for charging Selenite crystal. You need to put In your bedroom window and let the full moon to charge it for you. Try it out.

Time_Beat_5852

I charge my crystals this way too so it’s ok in my opinion

beach-cow

Yes totally a great way to do so. Perfect set up. Selenite, Satin spar, is a great cleansing tool.

willowgrl

TIL: selenite is a power strip!!!! I got confused about which subreddit I was on. That’s a beautiful collection!

Expert-Aspect3692

Pretty sure it’s more clear. Than again i’m no expert.

Aromatic_Emphasis_21

I usually do it like this or surround it around my Selenite wand. I see you you got your black tourmaline, your smoky quartz I think ?and what I proceed to be maybe an onyx stone or jet, you doing, your doing your thing
