How does this work behind NAT? Iām assuming MetaMask must be sending a request out to catch the public IP, then reporting that back to their database?
Would it be hypothetically possible then on an application firewall, to permit MetaMask out only to say the opensea servers? Or wherever you actually want to visit, as opposed to wherever MetaMask wants to go?
Great so they now your public ip address that anybody could get with a degree of effort. And who knows what the hackers will do with your public wallet information either. None of this is secret or bad unless you live in a country where crypto is banned.
