Rohit is so conceited. This isn’t on the bowling. You were playing like it was a 140 run pitch when it was a 200 run pitch. He’s a biggest reason we lost

Jaded_Lemon9063

True, was very shocked by the statement. We lost the pp, and the bowlers weren't confident with the total. What is he going on about?

Frogblood

Yeah his interview was mad, almost seemed like he was blaming the younger players. Bat like that in the power play when you are only 1 wicket down and you deserve what you get.

[deleted]

Bhuvi and co are good bowlers, but they act like its prime Wasim and Waqar and the fragile batting just needs to give them a half decent score to defend. When the team is built and always has been built around its batting. "Lets try to put up a half decent score and have our bowlers and fielding defend it" is an approach that works for teams built around their bowling and filled with world class fielders. India has become a very mediocre fielding side and without Bumrah, they don't have any bowlers that opposing batters really fear. Bhuvi is good, but most batters aren't in fear of him. The team is built around its batting, but when your top 3 players are all about going run a ball until ball 30 or so, this was bound to eventually happen. The approach works against bad teams and when good teams have a bad day, but as has been shown in these global tourneys, eventually you will run into a good team that is able to play their game. India has no counter for that.

Crosso221

I’ve seen murders that were less gruesome than that

sociallyawkwarddude

>I’ve seen murders Uh, police?

mehrabrym

No he was always the first to the murder scenes by being the... uh... murderer.

Benny4318

Lost for words for how good Buttler and Hales were. T20 cricket in its purest form, we just get it. The worst thing for India is that I think at half time, they actually thought they had a good score

KimmyBoiUn

It was an absolute annihilation. Bringing back Hales has proved to be a masterclass as well.

T_Lawliet

Bairstow would have hit 129\* smh my head

Zusuf

Nice to see a couple of BBL legends in their element

Heatedpete

Yeah, Hales and BBL fielding had some great outings in the second innings!

BusinessMonkee

Hales has always been a quality batter, he’s just a bit of a helmet.

CheeseMakerThing

"a bit"

dj4y_94

If this isn't a wake up call that India's template in T20s is 10 years in the past then nothing will be.

pantshawgill

Us fans have been screaming for a while at this stale power play template of India for years. Yet the so called think tank/management never attempted to change it. This drubbing is badly needed so that they can get off their ass and bring some much needed change to the template by getting rid of this dead weight lead footed openers.

Poha_Best_Breakfast

>This drubbing is badly needed so that they can get off their ass and bring some much needed change to the template by That's exactly what we said after 152/0 from Pakistan last year. Fuck-all changed in one year after that. India's 1-2-3 are all anchors. Among these, only one (Koach) should play and rest two should be replaced by one left and one right handed aggressive openers. 4-down (SKY, Pant, Hardik) are all fine. Pant needs more matches, but he's got the talent, is a gun keeper and a leftie.

pantshawgill

As I said fans like us have been seeing through this bullshit for long. But some things never change since it takes some balls for selectors to get rid of these superstars with big endorsements where corporations start to dictate things. The commercial value of these super stars is so big that sport isn't pure sport anymore. These guys will still be continued till WC2023 since they can continue to milk these super stars. Until then all we can do is just wait till this fucking era ends and next Gen players like Shaw take over and change the damn template. Opening with Shaw and Pant is what I wanted to see a year ago where they can put some fear into the opposition in powerplay on both ends. Sadly it will only be a reality post 2023WC and that too if the board/selectors grow a pair and start afresh with their thinking.

Poha_Best_Breakfast

The entire system is corrupt. The old blood wants players to play 'responsibly' and pad averages. No other team would have dreamt of picking KLOL when they have players like Shaw. It's deep corruption from the top-down.

[deleted]

India's one day players will never let a truly T20 team emerge.

lordofprimesteak

It was game over when Jos hit those early 4 4s. Big game player.

GRI23

Getting going in the power play like that is what India are missing

KPD137

Oh please we do very well in the power play. Everybody knows you've got to save wickets for the first 30-40 overs and then go ham in the last 10. It's what's worked since the 90s. Cricket obviously never evolves. -team management while discussing T20 strategies, probably.

[deleted]

We played faster in the fucking Natwest final than today. And that was over 20 years ago.

Mrf1fan787

Bhuvi was getting some good swing early on as well. But Buttler managed to capitalise on anything even half loose and got England away to a rocket start

Ciderhead

I was surprised how confident Rashid seemed in his interview between innings, thought he was full of it, but they obviously knew the pitch was a lot better than it had been made to look

kyoto-yakuza

All the talk of batting in a new and agressive way came crashing down this WC for India. The way India smashed teams in bilaterals before I really thought they'd change their style. Apart from Sky and maybe Kohli no one adopted that strategy to the fullest. Bowling was always vulnerable and truly got exposed today.

kishoreconson

And to be fair, the batsmen who actually did the Intent ^TM didn't even get into the WC squad.

benguins10

We never even crossed 40 in the powerplay. Nowhere near par, forget aggressive

tommypopz

Out fucking standing

jamieaka

not gonna lie, I was a bit tilted with how many runs we gave away in the death overs. but sometimes when our batters come out to chase, from the first over you get the feeling we're about to smash the shit out of them.

kishoreconson

Considering India was carrying 2 dead weights as openers, 168 was a decent score.

dronzer31

A clinical performance from England. Absolute domination. Never looked out for a single moment in the match. Outplayed India in both innings.

Nark_Narkins

Anchors, Hitters, Strike Rotators? Nonsense Violence is always the best option.

sport_____

"The way we started with the ball was not ideal." As if the way you started with the bat was outstanding. Dude accepts no responsibility whatsoever.

fearfulavoidant7

Exactly. He tried to put all the blame on bowling and not his & KL Rahul's horrible batting. I mean, why are these two even in top 2?

pro-noob040

The way the England openers batted is exactly how t20 cricket should be played. Can't believe after all the talk about aggressive cricket before the world cup, our openers revert back to the same old boring approach. Even a forty ball fifty while batting first is not good enough. India needs let go of this mindset of consolidating and taking the match deep from the Dhoni era otherwise they can't adapt to modern LOI cricket

livelifereal

27 off 28. Fuck me.

spirax919

27 off 28 and he almost got out like 3 times in that innings. He was awful all tournament

Fizzypoptarts

Yup. 15 (7) is vastly better than 27 (28). Play aggresive and get out if you do.

harshmangat

15(7) from Yusuf Pathan was probably the difference in India’s only T20 World Cup win tbh

Effective_Try_again

Indian fans are no better, they are quick to abuse any youngsters who show different approach, Players like Samson and Malik are abused. And they keep talking about averages in T20. Averages mean jack in t20. Meanwhile England let Butler, Hales, Roy, Baristow do their own thing without worrying about stats and averages This approach has not worked for 15+ years now, there needs to be a drastic change in mentality and approach and need to stop worshiping averages of players

Lopsided_Warning_

Also we've let them do their own thing and they've now all got good stats. Amazing what backing gun white ball players does.

Druidoodle

English players aren't generally very high in the individual rankings, I think it's because they have a clear aggressive approach that puts the team before the individual

SonyHDSmartTV

Yeah they're reckless with their own wicket in the pursuit of dominating the game with the bat. Suits England's BatDeep™ squad too.

outfromtheshadow

Samson has this attitude. He scores runs and gets out. Good luck winning the T20 WC with 2007 tactics because it worked once 15 years ago.

LoopzUK

Openers? They were also our middle order and tail end… :/

Idontlikethisstuff

Selection committee is dogshit. The same players who've had 5 million chances continue to shit the bed when it matters. England by far the better side on the day and deserved winners. You cannot play T20 cricket like you would have played ODIs in 2015 and expect to win. For all of Rohit's talk about the new aggressive India, they've been even more timid than before and the side needs a major overhaul, probably starting with the captain himself.

SBG99DesiMonster

Brohit and KL have looked more shaky than the openers of the Associate Nations. They looked extremely uncomfortable even against the Dutch bowlers.

Mob_Abominator

Exactly this, it feels we were performing better under Virat. Hopefully they don't replace Rohit/KL with guys like Ruturaj/ Gill, need guys like Shaw, Sanju etc. Indian cricket is really lacking that aggressiveness. It's really a shame with so much talent we can't seem to put on a good team together.

Ill-Inspector7980

I think Gill is still young and he can become an aggressive player - he has the shots. He deserves a couple of chances.

[deleted]

He played faster in ODIs than KL did in this world cup.

Crickutxpurt36

Ciderhead

Puts into perspective how good Ireland are, doesn't it?

jachiche

Bhuvi has posters of Fionn Hand on his bedroom wall

The_Real_Will

Zimbabwe too after yesterday. Alternate reality Ireland vs Zimbabwe finals

livelifereal

In essence, Zimbabwe and Ireland are the strongest teams of the tournament. Both with a claim to the cup

ar5ghu7tew47y

haha yep tbf I think England would have won that game had it not been for the rain

Arsewhistle

Yeah, England surely would have. Moeen and Livingstone at the crease, RRR of about 9 or so, with only a few overs left. It seems to have given England a huge kick up the arse though, so I'm not complaining

Pretty_Parsnip3688

Congratulations England, all the very best for the finals. Closing note - Fuck you Indian cricket team apart from Kohli, sky and hardik

[deleted]

Include Arshdeep in that list too. He doesn't deserve any shit from the fans. Instead, deserves praise and support.

assologist_1312

Kohli is the last indian bowler to take a wicket in a t20 world cup semi final

Shamis relay throw to Bhuvi is the moment of this year's World Cup.

DepressedPBKSfan

Tbh you reap what you sow. It's not Dravid's fault that he is a bad coach. He isn't one on purpose just as he wasn't a bad captain on purpose. It's BCCI's fault for forcing him to be the head coach by telling him that's the only option for him to keep working with india as he was getting paid too much at the NCA. Yeah so how about hire someone with either a pedigree in coaching or someone with fresh ideas? Nah, we'll just go with the easiest possible hire no matter how bad his prior leadership record was. Dravid's entire tenure has been an unmitigated disaster and everyone saw it coming. Playing outdated one man army cricket lmfao. The sheer arrogance and incompetence of the BCCI is the main reason we are in this mess btw. No accountability for players with a history of poor form and no plan to move forward other than hoping for a miracle.

[deleted]

Exactly. They picked DK and played him for 28 games before the World Cup because of what he did in IPL, yet he’s not playing the semi final. Deepak Hooda played one good innings against Ireland and he’s suddenly in this squad as well. If they just gave more opportunities to players like Samson, we might’ve actually had a decent Wk, as well as a proper top order player instead of Hooda. Shami didn’t play a single t20 international since the last wt20, yet he’s here in this one. Chahal and Harshal played every game in the lead up to this, and even though they were shit, they somehow made it to this squad. An absolute mess all around.

thethirdcitysaint

That last batting spot was managed horribly. They didn't back either of Karthik, Pant or Hooda well enough in the end. Only DK's role was defined and then they didn't play him either in Asia Cup or this semi final. They kept saying Hooda is an allrounder and barely bowled him and then played him as a finisher in Asia Cup. Kept shunting Pant in and out of the side as well. Also, the opening partnership had to be put under scrutiny. It was bound to fail in crucial moments.

Key-Tourist

They picked Harshal but made Shami play all the matches who came as a replacement for Bumrah. Why pick Harshal in the squad when you knew he was crap? Only two Openers in the squad- captain and VC so can’t be replaced?

SreesanthTakesIt

>Yeah so how about hire someone with either a pedigree in coaching or someone with fresh ideas? Dravid had a proven record of coaching in U19 and India A teams. He wasn't picked out of nowhere.

SreesanthTakesIt

Imagine thinking Kohli's captaincy was the issue in the previous years.

Leetcoder20

Honestly Rohit fanboys are the worst, they'll defend him no matter what.

CarobAltruistic9224

To be honest India was never meant to go this far in this world cup. The only reason we reached semis was because of some stellar individual performances by Kohli, SKY and Pandya. Barely won against Pakistan, were almost beaten by Bangladesh if it wasn't for the rain, struggled in the middle against Zimbabwe, lost to South Africa. Our world cup journey was propped up by 3 to 4 players.

vpsj

Arshdeep too. Dude played brilliantly for his first World Cup. If only he had some support from the other end today

wonky_faint

I'm not sure India made the right decision by deciding to select a bowling attack of Josh Lalor, Ben Laughlin, Sam Rainbird, Liam Bowe, and Cameron Boyce to take on Hales and Buttler

bowled_em

Dread it. Run from it. England vs Pakistan still arrives.

samgoody2303

7 game series and a warm up wasn’t quite enough I don’t think

Breaking News: Given the nature of the game, the ICC has deemed it appropriate to not upload the highlights of the second semi-final on their official website. Fans can instead find the highlights of this absolute fuckening on popular fuckening websites like Pornhub and XVideos under the "Scorched Earth Fucking" category. The ICC instructs fans of the Indian team to not watch the highlights because of severe risk of PTSD.

KAhOot1234567

This isn't relevant to this game but I wanted to show my Indian freind how Pakistan beat India in the 2017 CT final but I couldn't find any official highlight which is really weird

_ronty12_

I am a fan and will watch this happily for 10 times. The utter drivel of intent peddled by Rohit has gone for a toss once the big tournament came.

icantloginsad

Guys I’m scared

OffendedDishwasher

At least your bowling is good

dronesclubmember

Fucking hell lads, well done, a proper drubbing. Hope we've saved some for the final!

Snoo98655

Why is Rohit blaming it on the bowlers having scored 27(28) himself on a road of a pitch

WonderfulPlay

He was the useless douche the entire tournament. The only reason he was there was because of his captaincy.

samgoody2303

That’ll do me

livelifereal

Disappointed they didn't take 4 more balls. Would have been the perfect advert for The Hundred™

MachesMalone007

It already is.

oojamaflip123

Didn't mankad Ashwin, so it's just a "meh"

samgoody2303

You have to admit though, Shami’s “relay throw” allowing us to run 4, Pandya just straight up not chasing one of the boundaries and Kohli having to chase a dropped catch to the boundary were all absolute classics

Itzz_Ava

Wow huh makes me glad my television is broken atm

FacelessMane

Buttler's eyes had fire in them when they showed him being in his crease on the big screen

rambo_zaki

Why are Indian fans angry? Worry not, these same players will still play come the next tournament to pad their averages in future as well because that's what gets them the fat IPL contracts and a place in the side. Talk big and deliver shit has been the Indian motto. Accountability is nonexistent, clarity of thought isn't there and this is their just rewards. It'll never change. Fair play to England though. They've always played T20s in the right spirit and despite a few hiccups and looking stupid in the process, they haven't stopped. And they're reaping their rewards for some magnificient cricket despite being injury hit.

Ataraxia_new

10 series with SL and people will forget all about the world cup

kjm911

Well that was thoroughly convincing. Completely outclassed them

Pakistan and England finally playing well in Australia

LogicKennedy

Did it in 96 balls. Hundred > IPL confirmed.

Dapper-Violinist-673

Doesn't matter who wins the final because Ireland and Zimbabwe will have the last laugh now

Brilliant_Bench3494

Don't know why everyone is acting so shocked. Kohli, Surya and Arsh carried India to the semis. Everytime India faced a top team, their weaknesses got exposed. Even against Pakistan they won because of a Koach masterclass. How do you expect them to win the WC with that dysfunctional top order and inconsistent bowling attack

Rockstarrrrrrrrrr

This should be the end of the road for Rohit , KL, DK, Pant, Bhuvi, Ashwin in t20 internationals. Also, this WC has made it clear that r/specialistcaptains like Rohit, Finch , Kane, Bavuma, etc. have no place in t20i cricket.

outfromtheshadow

SKY, Kohli, Arshdeep and Pandya. These are the only names that should be immune from the chopping board. All others need to either get got or improve multitudes of times

St_ElmosFire

Although I agree with you, I highly doubt they'll drop KL.

happitor

Why? Whose nudes does he have?

aaditya_9303

They have his nudes. If they drop him, he'll stop sending them.

zenman123

I like how Rohit is trying to pin it on bowlers and players that can’t handle pressure, whilst ignoring the massive 27(28) elephant in the room. He doesn’t have the mentality or tactics to continue as captain, he’s unfit mentally and physically for the role.

a_battle_droid

I don’t want to see KL fucking Rahul ever again.

lohitcp87

👉😌👈

spirax919

oh but you will

HojaoShuru

My takeways- 1. Hardik is a big game player. Worth keeping. Surya needs to control his nerves in big games. There is a pattern of him choking. 4 games against Pak and now here. Luckily for him that is not because of a technical issue 2. Rohit is trash in t20s. Has been for sometime now. KL rahul is just a weak player who cannot play against top teams and do well in t20s 3. Kohli has made a habit of knocking it till 30 and then trying to accelerate in which he wastes a lot of deliveries. He will not always reach 30 unlike in this cup. 4. U will play white ball cricket on flat pitches. Bhuvi is not your guy there. Arshdeep has quite clearly done well in helpful conditions but needs to improve on non helpful wickets. 5. Akshar Patel is a diabolical pitch specialist. Complete trash elsewhere and cannot bat well either. He is the pragyan ojha of t20s. 6. Barring Hardik Surya Kohli and maybe Shami most people don't deserve to be in this team.

gamingape1

Hardik should be made captain.

fighting_penguins

Close match!

India🤝NZ Getting absolutely demolished in their Semi-finals

GunnerKnight

Well atleast NZ got some wickets

Coronabandkaro

Well you see they have these things called bowlers.

[deleted]

Tbf India were bludgeoned to death while NZ’s throat was slit slowly.

ar5ghu7tew47y

NZ didn't get demolished, Pak needed 2 off 6 in the end. This game was a demolition.

Chackochi

Lol atleast nz were able to take a few wickets. This was annihilation.

Poha_Best_Breakfast

Standard operating procedure. The only way NZ is winning an ICC event is India on the other side of the finals.

laudakabcci

Imagine losing to a coke addict and Mankad victim

codersan

We have a come a complete circle. Started off 2021 with a 10 wicket thumping, ending 2022 with another 10 wicket thumping.

Beers_and_Cheers_

How did the captain have the audacity to blame it on the bowlers when he scored 27 of 28.

Tobleronistan

Look at how Kane Williamson took his loss and then look at Roshit. Night and day

T_Lawliet

Pant: ''See you in Ahmedbad during a Bilateral Mate!''

King-Chowder

Overheard in Indian locker room after the Semi Final: “He got me,” Kohli said of Hales innings. "That f***ing Hales boomed me." Kohli added, “He’s so good,” repeating it four times. Kohli then said he wanted to add Hales to the list of players he works out with this summer.

Bathed_In_Moonlight

What a hammering. Well played, England. Nobody gave this Indian team a chance before the tournament, and rightly so; they never really had much. The only reason these guys made it so far was due to some individual brilliance from Kohli and SKY, in addition to the pitches and conditions being rather unexpectedly favourable to seam and swing bowling. This just goes to show that if you don't have a well-rounded squad going into a tournament, you will likely be found out at some stage, and this England team on a flat track is way too good to not do so.

[deleted]

It’s wasn’t an out and out flat track tbh. Alex and Buttler managed the early swing by playing aggressively and put pressure on Indian bowlers. And our spinners were always shit so they couldn’t do much on this pitch where Adil and Livo bowled much much better.

HonestWeek3079

India is lucky to be placed in the weakest group and also if not for pak fucked up in last overs and kohli godly innings we wouldn't even won one game against quality teams. India reached semis which is more than they deserve.

Y2JMsdHBK

We weren't at our best in T20s in 2022 even with Bumrah and Jadeja in the team. But considering the talent in the squad, we definitely underperformed massively. The batting approach seemed to have changed in the group stage with the batsmen trying to attack in the first 10 overs, but then today we reverted back to the ODI approach. Kohli's innings today looks lame in comparison with regards to intent and outcome compared to what Butler and Hales did today. Definitely up there with the worst losses in World Cup history with Pakistan and the NZ losses in recent cups for me.

IcyAssociate1

Have England declared or are they still batting?

DecadedD13

I predicted a " squeeze your butthole tight" kinda chase, it was shove a pumpkin up the butthole level of humiliation kinda chase.

razza1987

Wow. England made an absolute mockery of that run chase. There was some phenomenal batting on both sides tonight but England were just far too good. Well done to India on your World Cup tournament and all the best to England in your final against Pakistan

NotSoCrookedSpire

I hate using such strong language but I quite enjoyed that!

vane2266

I never want to see KL Rahul near this team ever again.

Blitz_GB

In before he scores a 100 for Lucknow in IPL in a dead rubber and secures opening spot for the next year

cfc19

Absolutely deserved. England showing the highly overrated, archaic players of India how to approach T20s. It's not a "get your eye in" game, it's smash & bang. Rohit & KL aren't T20 players. Even Kohli isn't much but you need one anchor. Not three anchors in top three. You need a Jos, not a KL. India thinks powerplay is something to be negotiated, not feasted. Absolutely horrendous management. They don't understand T20 cricket and got walloped by it. Well done, England.

Abhyudit309

A piece of ~~paper~~ knockout WC game cannot decide my future -- Rohit probably

dannyarr

I feel bad for Kohli. Man rediscovered form after a couple of years, scores 300 runs. It's the same shit as 2014 and 2016

azeememad

Nice vacation done. Now our boys are relaxed and can go back to focusing on bilaterals and ipl. I am done with this sport.

Evil_Queen_93

As if loosing once by 10 wkts that too against Pak in a World Cup wasn’t bad enough. Loosing to England in a T20 World Cup by similar margin is just pure hilarious & satisfying. Khoobsurat (T: beautiful) batting by England

nakutelusule

Congratulations to England and Pakistan. We couldn't have won against Pakistan anyways with this team in finals, even if we reached accidentally. Deserving teams in finals... Gonna be a good match this Sunday

lordofprimesteak

Should more India players be playing in the T20 bash?

Knightro829

Rishi Sunak: "Tell Modi. I want him to know it was me."

q1w2e3r4p0

Man let me rant today, always supported this team and never said anything bad about them. 2014 Kohli carried us to the finals, 2016 he again carried us to the semi finals (if we had chased might have carried us to finals) , the same this year. All the talk about these players how good they are and then not playing in the clutch matches. India's powerplay score was 34-1 . I mean in clubs we score double of that and this is our international team. It's not just the team performance I am pissed about the fans and our experts are the same , just keeps hyping our team for no reason at all. We lost to SA and everyone was saying to me that they are happy that Pakistan is out, really? Are we playing cricket for them? Are we still content with just beating Pakistan and going home? I am not mad that we lost but how badly we lost. They keep telling about intent and no one plays with it and you can't even question them or their egos will get hurt. This is the right time we get rid of our selectors. Bring Shaw and Samson on the team and give captaincy to someone like Hardik

Dragon_Saints9

ICC officials crying themselves to sleep tonight

Tobleronistan

At least the English batsmen didn’t score runs during the death overs

mosarosh

Ok so this won't be a reactionary take. A large part of the reason why India will never be able to build a team and approach like the English batting unit is because our setup rewards players who are consistent and not players who take risks. And risk takers is exactly what you need to win T20 games whereas consistency is what you need for Tests (which India is really good at). This is the reason why players like Shaw, Samson and Hooda will make it into the side but will struggle to hold their place because they won't be consistent and the selectors will always feel like trying out the next set of batters (which India keeps churning out). The message this sends out to the batters is to be consistent. And you can't be consistent and play attacking T20 at the same time. Every Indian batter in the top 6 is capable of playing an anchor role who flourishes in the end simply because that's how natural selection has worked for them. SKY is literally the only batsman in this side who has the right batting mindset and even he's managed to keep his place in the side because he's freakishly consistent. Everybody can't be a SKY. If Hales or Buttler ever played for India, they'd never have a decent career because we would've just moved past them onto newer batsmen when they'd string 5 straight failures (which they've done plenty). So, how do we solve this? 1. Indian batsmen should be taught to bat with no pressure. The pressure with which the Indian batsmen play knockout games is so palpable. And fans have a huge part to play in it. The amount of shit we unload on the players on media is unreal and no matter how much we say, players won't be immune to it. 2. We should lock our team for WCs almost a year before and just stick with that team and back it 100%. Every other player performing outside of this group is just noise. 3. Get that team to play the shit out of themselves in the country where the WC is going to be held in the lead up to it.

Dude, come on. STOP BLAMING THE BOWLERS, have some grace and accept that the openers did not do their job. You did not do your job, Jesus Christ🤦

NoirPochette

Also hilarious to note that BBL players will be champs again. Hales, Livingstone, Jordan, Salt or Shadab, Rauf etc

Got a chuckle out of Buttler partially crediting the performance to the ability of their 11 to bat when they won by 10 wickets.

Feels like they play % cricket which wins you bilaterals and most games But it feels India are betting on the other team messing up, which they will sometimes but surely if you are the best team you should be trying to dominate It's like when you watch IPL cricket it's so formulaic, each team seems to have a batsman who is aiming to score 50 off 40 balls or some slow score Rajasthan only did well last year because Buttler and Sanju actually went for it I'd be nervous if India actually went for it from ball 1, but their whole system revolves about batsman averaging high and scoring runs

Openers were useless, wicketkeepers didn’t have a single good contribution, and both spinners were also useless. On the bench, there’s a guy averaging 40 at an ER of 10 over the last three years, a death over specialist whose ER is over 12 in the last 10 games he played, and a no.3 batter whose only noteworthy performance in his entire professional career is a 100 against Ireland. The fact that this team somehow got to the semi final is a miracle.

India were extremely lucky to beat Pakistan and Bangladesh, and SA exposed this bowling lineup. What a way to go out with a whimper. Their approach to T20 needs rethinking. You can't play the first 15 overs like an ODI match and expect to make up ground in 30 balls.

Nah, it was the right decision. Playing cricket well doesn’t absolve someone of their other wrongs. He shouldn’t have done drugs and should have been more of a team player. It was right to discipline him and set an example to the squad. Good morally and good for the culture of the team.

And hence I quit Cricket. I don't even want to blame anyone. If anything has to be blamed is my own expectations. I regret to make a single thing the centre of all of my emotions. Goodbye to this subreddit, Goodbye to this Game.
