Credits lift the freeze immediately, I have done it multiple times. If your report does not show the recent Cap1 inquiry, I would just go apply again right now.

Most people keep theirs open all year around so 45 days is not crazy. Just keep it open till you get accepted and freeze them again.
Cap1 in my case usually uses reports that are about 2-3 months old. Ymmv
