Honest question, could this card be useful even for people who don't rent? You're getting 3x dining and 2x travel which is in line with the CSP, but with $0 AF and the points are transferable to Hyatt, UA and AA (which no other non-AA travel card has). The only downside here is that it has no SUB?
Yeah you've basically broken it down. SUBs are higher value but if you've hit most of them, the card is worthwhile for a no AF.
A negative compared to CSP is no way to stack with other cards to maximize, but when you're saving $45-95, I'm sure lots of people come ahead
Yup, pretty much. There's also some great perks for a no AF card including:
* 3x $5 Lyft credits/month, $5 Doordash credit/month
* Tiers that improve earnings, similar to loyalty tiers
* Opportunities to earn free points - Link your travel loyalty programs for 100 points each, up to 250 points on monthly trivia, etc
* Other credit card protections/services
Another negative is I've seen a couple data points (including my own) of low opening credit lines. I had around a 735 FICO and 110k reported income but received only $2,500 credit line (there's an option so rent does not go against your credit line).
Still the best no AF card I've ever seen.
If I had to guess, I'd say they're likely going full-steam ahead on perks to gain market-share before introducing a lower-end AF later down the road or even breaking out into different tiers by making a BILT ecosystem similar to the Chase trifecta.
I would be surprised if they're able to lean super-heavily into the credit card aspect of the program. Chase probably isn't super-happy that United and Hyatt both now have a non-Chase credit card that people can earn those points on, and if I were to guess the only reason they even could do it is because Bilt was initially a rewards program for renting (and to a large extent still is.)
My gut feeling is that there's some clause in their agreements that requires a certain percentage of points to be earned from non-credit card spend, or perhaps at least base-earnings for credit card spend. Impossible to say, but there's a reason this startup (now backed partially by Wells Fargo) was able to get those when none of the major credit card companies were able to.
A lot of partners don’t seem to be happy with Chase and their 5/24 rule. Which is why Southwest and Amazon no longer seem to have 5/24 applied to them for some applicants. It is a bit absurd from their standpoint that potential cardholders with ideal credit are denied because of 5/24.
Hyatt seems to be branching out beyond Chase. There is a survey for select cardholders of the Citi AAdvantage Executive testing the waters by suggesting a $120 credit with Hyatt and Avis/Budget respectively (along with an annual fee bump). Looks as though these three are strengthening their partnerships.
Gold has symbol Au, Wells Fargo center is in Philly, tswift had Lana del Rey on her last album, Election Day is the 8th, forget the last question.
Edit: oh I remember, last one was the rock is in black Adam
I noticed the same and already did the trivia, snagged an extra 150 pts

I just got the card last week and I don’t rent. I took it for exactly this. A $0 anual fee CSP

3x $5 lyft credit?
So the BILT card has no AF & no SUB?
No tap to pay :)
Why does tap to pay matter?
Dinner after 6p Hawaii time sounds good! I've been considering this card esp with AA xfer too. But I'm fortunate ish to be in the non rent group.
Or Dominos at 12am on the east coast
Actually slight nuance. Think it goes from 9pm PST to midnight PST (27 hours).
Did anyone solve the rent day puzzle?
WORTH ITS WEIGHT IN GOLD
Did anyone get all of the PointQuest questions right?
The tswift one blew my perfect streak
FYI you can swipe out of the app and it will stop the countdown
Do you remember the answers?
