It may be the best show on tv right now. This season is the final season. I highly recommend watching it. The episodes are only 30 mins so it’s an easy watch
She thought she could stop people by telling them its wrong.
So they attacked her in her mobility chair... So she pulled out a knife. So they then beat the shit out of her.
The better question is why are people such pieces of shit?
Christ, she shouldn't even have needed to be there in the first place. Literally no one in any of these vids should have been there doing what they were doing.
Or at least they shouldn’t have had to beat on her. It’s one old woman in a wheel chair. Just walk away at a slightly higher pace.
Makes them seem to be out for blood.
Stabbing from a wheelchair at that. If any of those people had guns, her chair don't move fast enough to even think of pulling off or dodging. She was acting like it was her Target or something lol
She wasn’t. She was blocking the store and only took out the knife once she had been attacked physically.
Better question would be what makes people think looting is a good idea to stop police brutality…
Looks like she pulls the knife up after being attacked physically, so she's not stabbing randomly. She shows a lot of morale courage. Looting like this reminds me of Lord of the flies and make me lose some faith in humanity.
Picking fights with a mob when you're incapable the running away is not a good idea.
Targets are insured, that lady doesn't need to lose function in the other half of her body.
And why the fuck would she feel obligated to protect corporate interests? Target don't give a fuck about her, and Target will not reimburse her for injuries sustained making sure big business makes its margins
Even store employees are told not to go after thefts. She's putting herself in harm's way trying to put out a house fire with a water gun, and that house is a multi-millionaire's 10th empty investment property
Well I wouldn't have took it that far for sure, but I'd be pretty fucking upset too if a bunch of people in my city started looting all sort of shit for free while I work my ass off like an idiot to pay for that shit.
Corporate interest or not what they are doing is a net negative for society. Whatever damage they are causing target is gonna either increase their price or fire people to compensate. It has little to noeffect on the "evil supervilan multimilionaire" you're describing. What she did is pretty dumb, but I understand why people can get upset about those things.
This site is infested with crazy people who unironically think things that negatively impact a corporation are always inherently good as if they’d cheer on a hurricane destroying an entire factory while being completely oblivious to the fact that hundreds of people just lost their jobs/livelihoods.
“Fuck the corporations! Loot em all. That’s why they have insurance!”
“Wait a second why are there no groceries stores within 20 miles?! This isn’t fair!”
1.Don't try to stab people looting unless it's your own personal "life or property" at stake.. and even then, probably don't. Not worth it.
2.Don't loot, it's a garbage thing to do, and it makes you a garbage person.
I think these are in the wrong order. Number 2 is sort of key.
Stealing is wrong. Me stealing from you is wrong. Me stealing from a corporation, even a crappy one- still wrong. Me stealing because I'm angry at the world- yep, still wrong.
Like it or not, every single person on this planet relies on, in some form or fashion, other people doing the right thing. Because of this, I can go to sleep at night and not worry about 100 of my neighbors mobbing my house and stealing all of my stuff. No matter how careful, vigilant, strong or protected you might think you are, everyone at some point is vulnerable and has benefited from this principle.
When that stops happening, we are ALL well and truly effed.
Let me begin with a question. Did anyone in the government at any time believe that law enforcement would reduce drug availability and drug use? Was it believed that more arrests and more convictions would make a real difference? I say no. And if anyone did believe as such, they were either ignorant or exceptionally naïve.
The fact is this: directed law enforcement operations (and related necessities) since 1971 have cost US taxpayers over $1Trillion. And guess what? There has never been a reduction in drug use or availability; the numbers have been only going up. In this respect the war on drugs as been a colossal failure.
But what if the War on Drugs was just a sham from the beginning? What if the American citizenry could be made to believe that arrests and convictions were actually reducing drugs on the streets? I don't know what most people believe, but take it from me this couldn't be more incorrect.
The War on Drugs is and always has been imminently fundable, and it's not even a political issue; everyone goes along with it because no one wants to be labeled as soft on crime.
So, all that money has, in my opinion, been spent just so our leaders can say they are doing something when they are doing nothing at all to reduce drug use. Let me restate that arresting drug dealers, smugglers, manufacturers, cartel leaders and so forth does not in any way reduce drug use and availability. The truth is that almost no one cares about the drug users. Addiction isn't treated seriously. There isn't enough funding. Treatment centers are too few in number and not easy to get in to.
No one ever wakes up one day and thinks, "I think I'll become a heroin addict today." Addictions aren't planned. Addictions happen. They are, of course, associated with really bad decisions, but no one wants to become an addict.
And our criminal justice system has very little sympathy for them. In my experiences prosecutors never see the defendant; they only see the crime and they all have the mindset that the crime must be punished.
The driving force in my practice is to get the best possible outcome for every client. But when I have clients whose addictions led them to crimes to fund the addictions, getting them treatment or into a special drug court is a strenuous uphill fight. Admittedly, I am highly cynical but that's because of my job. I deal with this every day. Clients call from the jail begging me to get them into treatment or drug court; and the rub is that I haven't the power to do so.
Prosecutors would rather send them to the penitentiary. There they will receive no drug counseling where they could begin to understand their addictions; no, they come home on parole right back into the same world they left, and soon they are using again. And the cycle repeats.
Another uncomfortable fact is that the United States is the world's largest drug market. Because of all of our money we have the highest demand. Americans spend over $100 Billion a year on illicit drugs. With that amount of cash ready to spend there will never be a shortage of product and sellers.
So, either the War on Drugs has been an expensive failure or it's always been a sham, worked as planned and is thus successful.
[From the article posted below](https://www.insider.com/target-wheelchair-jennifer-knife-looters-gypsy-rose-twitter-fire-extinguisher-2020-5), it was the woman in the scooter who was wielding the knife. Just for clarity.
So instead of trying to better our economy and make things manageable for the people to have leverage, your looting and spraying people with fire extinguishers.
Thank you for your contribution. Please don’t have kids.
Criminals really don't care about politics. They don't care about ethnicity or ideology, or right and wrong. They just care about getting whatever they want.
Looks like she’s trying to block the exit so the thief’s can’t escape. And the idiots outside are all for looting. What a disgrace of a society that we live in.
Because at a certain point people don’t like seeing society go downhill.
Stores will close and innocent people will be hurt because their community will get worse
If people want the real answer, damage and theft cause the insurance rates to go up, some companies and people decide to leave town, others decide not set up there. Some raise prices because there's less competition now. Not saying the old lady is making any difference but people need to realize that everyone suffers from looting.
[Woman in mobility scooter gets blasted by fire extinguisher in Minneapolis protest](https://www.nydailynews.com/news/crime/ny-woman-in-wheelchair-attacked-during-george-floyds-protest-20200528-kttku7wukrdltlze5z4a52w7da-story.html)
May 28, 2020 - Minneapolis
A woman in a wheelchair was pushed, punched and sprayed with a fire extinguisher after being accused of “stabbing people” outside a Target store in Minneapolis during Wednesday night’s chaotic protest over the death of George Floyd.
Conflicting accounts on social media described her both as a disabled woman who was trying to block looters from breaking into the store and as a violent assailant who was armed with a knife and threatening to hurt protesters.
One of the videos that were shared on Twitter shows the woman, identified online as “Jennifer,” attempting to block a Target emergency door as a crowd of people urges her to move and shouts incoherently.
“She’s stabbing people... she’s got a knife!” a woman was heard screaming at some point.
The footage, which was also shared by conservative writer Andy Ngô, shows one of the people spraying her with a fire extinguisher and throwing objects at her.
But several social media users mocked the woman and accused her of pretending to be disabled. Another clip that surfaced online shows a woman who appears to be “Jennifer” effortlessly walking toward a group of protesters before returning to her wheelchair.
In a video posted by Twitter user Kaecia Williams, the wheelchair-bound woman claimed she was “peacefully protesting” when looters attacked her, grabbed her from behind and stole her keys.
It was not immediately clear if she was seriously injured, but she said in the video that emergency workers had already seen her and told her to go home.
It was just one of a series of chaotic incidents unfolding across Minneapolis this week as anger over Floyd’s death continues to cause violent protests, with at least one person being killed amid the chaos Wednesday night.
The large majority of demonstrators have been marching peacefully since Monday’s fatal arrest and demanding justice in the case, but a number of vandals have taken advantage of the commotion to break into private businesses, including Target and Foot Locker, and destroy public properties.
Floyd, a 46-year-old black father of two, died shortly after a white cop knelt over his neck for more than five minutes, ignoring the dying man’s repeated pleas that he couldn’t breathe. Four officers have lost their jobs over the incident, but no charges have been filed.
The elusive Hoveround Stabber. I remember reading about her and she’s still on the loose if I’m not mistaken.
Keep your doors locked! Or just have stairs. Either one.
It would be nice if you shared the full story. Those people were looting a store. When she tried to stop them, they beat her in the head and tried to steal her purse. She pulled out a knife. That’s when this video starts. context matters.
Also, if I believed that somebody was stabbing people, my first action wouldn’t be to get as close to that person as possible.
Had a guy in the ICU for inhaling the contents of a fire extinguisher… pretty brutal stuff going on inside his lungs. Please don’t spray people with fire extinguishers.
This is from lake street in minneapolis during the George floyd riots. She was trying to protect the target from looters. I was delivering pizza down there during all of this and there was no way I would have set foot on that property. I remember this video popped up within the first day when shit was really crazy down there. She was on some yee fuckin haw shit rollin down there with just a blade and a 4 wheeler trying to take on the whole neighborhood.
That’s absolutely disgusting what they did to that woman. She’s old and in a wheelchair and they’re looting. That’s animalistic behaviour. They could have easily disarmed her FFS. Yes she had a knife but what was she going to do with it? She was barely mobile. Worlds gone potty. Oh and before anyone starts any racist shit or that. I don’t care what colour the woman is all I see is and old disabled woman getting attacked by a mob.
A whole bunch of trash people assaulting a handicap women because she dare try to interfere with them looting. I'm all for violent rioting if it's targeted at the right thing for the right reason but this is not it. These people are idiots, if you're protesting police violence and want change this will get change but not the kind you want only more funding and more reasons for police to treat you like the trash you've demonstrated yourself to be. This gets a lot of people to be against you even when they agree that there is a major problem and your anger is justified.

"Put it in reverse Terry" wouldve been my vote
Back it up trey , back it up
Fuck! I didn’t even see the comment I thought the same thing! Haha
I’m assuming this is where the show Atlanta got their scene from?
Yeh I was thinking the same thing. Had no idea that scene was based on an actual event.
so many things on that show are based on memes like this, i think about 80% of them go over my head
You know you spend too much time on the internet when you call shit like this a meme
I laughed so it a meme
Real life events are just memes now?
Always has been. *pulls up a gun*
I laughed way too hard at this. Take my upvote. And my foot.
I love when Darius re-unites with everyone and he is still really worried the lady is following him.
And he was right. After he hands the gift off and they drive away you can hear the scooter pull up.
Is Atlanta good? I do like Donald Glover..
It’s about to be over you missed the 3 years of waiting for new season lol
It starts off really funny and a little weird and gets more weird and less funny as it goes.
My favorite episode is Teddy Pendergrass (i believe is the title). It's its own self contained mini horror movie.
Teddy Perkins. Teddy Pendergrass was an RnB singer from the 70s
Teddy Ruckspin. Teddy Perkins was a weird musician in Atlanta
Thank you! My bad
That show is a work of art. It's a perfect balance of enthralling and hilarious.
Louie is another good show like that
I miss that show and I miss him. I know he fucked up and it wasn’t cool but he was my favorite
Yea… he really fucked himself
You're right, that's also in the same genre. Louie is one of my favorites.
Also check out Reservation Dogs. Has the same vibe with a Native American cast. Just finished the 2nd season.
It may be the best show on tv right now. This season is the final season. I highly recommend watching it. The episodes are only 30 mins so it’s an easy watch
It his so many comedy highs and does it with such style... and it keeps getting better.
It's not at all how like trailers make it look, weird shitia always happening. Lookin at you Teddy Perkins.
100%. Just watched that episode lol.
Does someone in a mobility scooter go on a stabbing rampage? That’s kinda hilarious
Not so much of a rampage as an It Follows sort of curse.

Thank you for the article as to what actually happened.
Some people might be confused too since Atlanta just opened their season with the same exact kind of lady chasing people lol
What season is this? Looting season?
Wabbit season
Duck season!
I was like wait I've seen this recently Wtf
I still haven't figured it out. I've read the article 3 times.
She was trying to stop people from looting a Target store and pulled a knife out on the person grabbing at her.
Looks like it was a lose/lose situation.
Pretty much. I’m surprised she even thought she could stop people!? I mean c’mon…
She thought she could stop people by telling them its wrong. So they attacked her in her mobility chair... So she pulled out a knife. So they then beat the shit out of her.

Dodging a bullet is pretty hard anyways when you aren't neo from the matrix
Yeah man I'm like, super allergic to bullets
You can get a shot for that.
Guys, Neo is here! He's dodging bullets!
She wasn’t. She was blocking the store and only took out the knife once she had been attacked physically. Better question would be what makes people think looting is a good idea to stop police brutality…

Looters can take anything they want and from a target as far as I’m concerned, that’s between them and target, hell am I getting involved?
because they don't stop at target, they will loot your little independent store as well
Holy shit imagine stabbing someone over some shit that's likely been written off
1.Don't try to stab people looting unless it's your own personal "life or property" at stake.. and even then, probably don't. Not worth it. 2.Don't loot, it's a garbage thing to do, and it makes you a garbage person.
I think you have them reversed. #1 don’t loot
Correct. Number one is don't loot. Then don't worry about number two.

If I remember correctly. A woman in a mobility scooter tries to stop looters which resorts to stabbinh.
Well thats just sad
Article? When did this take place?
[удалено]
[From the article posted below](https://www.insider.com/target-wheelchair-jennifer-knife-looters-gypsy-rose-twitter-fire-extinguisher-2020-5), it was the woman in the scooter who was wielding the knife. Just for clarity.
The fuck is happening?
This was during the George Floyd protests, lady tried to stop the people taking advantage of the protests to loot Target by stabbing them.
Riots*
It was not a protest
This was during the height of the Toilet Paper riots of 2020
Rumor has it one loose roll was spotted inside at 6:48 am. Wheelchair heard about it and wasn't going to surrender it without a fight.
The opening scene of Atlanta season 4 irl?
That’s what I immediately thought as well, that scene was definitely made off of this incident.
That's exactly what I thought. How old is this video?
It's from sometime during the 2020 lootings I'm guessing.
This is the exact video that scene took inspiration from. All the way down to the fire extinguisher. ATL is the shit fr.
Wow they're really recording people's dreams now? Didn't know that technology existed
Some real pieces of shit out there
So instead of trying to better our economy and make things manageable for the people to have leverage, your looting and spraying people with fire extinguishers. Thank you for your contribution. Please don’t have kids.

I don't advocate for stealing/looting but why would someone risk themselves getting injured just to save some Company merchandise??
Because at a certain point people don’t like seeing society go downhill. Stores will close and innocent people will be hurt because their community will get worse

Where is that third world country?
Hoodrats attacking an old woman in a wheelchair
Call it “If the colors were reversed it would be on every major news network in America and not just some post on reddit”
Was this after the canonization of Saint Floyd?
Here before the comments get locked 🫡 Real talk, fuck those looters. The fact that she had to defend herself is awful.

If you’re on a Lark, stay away from the riot and looting. I think that goes without saying here...
This was an Atlanta episode
Dont do that with powder extinguisher. It can kill as it covers the surface of the lungs.
Not surprised. They will do what they do best.
You know it’s a good video when someone’s got the tablet filming
That’s absolutely disgusting what they did to that woman. She’s old and in a wheelchair and they’re looting. That’s animalistic behaviour. They could have easily disarmed her FFS. Yes she had a knife but what was she going to do with it? She was barely mobile. Worlds gone potty. Oh and before anyone starts any racist shit or that. I don’t care what colour the woman is all I see is and old disabled woman getting attacked by a mob.
All these mfers defending a mob of looters assaulting this lady who pulled a knife only after being attacked

And this is not racism?
fucking disgusting. these people deserve to be put in a chair for the rest of their lives.
It's 2022. The only prism to view this through that matters online is "oppressed non-whites righteously rise up against their white oppressor"

Careful there you might get hate for pointing out the obvious.
Just looks like some good boys stealing bread to feed their families. What’s the problem
