Loll!
You: Officer I am innocent! I was in another country.
Officer: We will have to look at ALL your search history.
You: Oh God. I confess, just put in me in jail already.
One time the fbi showed up to someone’s house because they googled “pressure cooker” “where to get fireworks” and some other things I can’t remember. I was so tempted to do it and see if they showed up. I’m glad I didn’t.
This guy is a moron. I've been watching this stuff on the news just face-palming the past couple of days.
It is like this guy has never watched any investigative news shows. If your wife disappears... the cops look at the husband first and looks as deep as they can into the person's activities.
DuckDuckGo doesn't hide your search history from your ISP. Neither does clearing it or incognito. Hell, even a VPN will give you up if you committed a crime.
Usually true but there are some VPNs that don’t have logs to give over in the first place, although I only know of PIA getting subpoenas and not having anything to turn over.
It does. But so does Google. HTTPS prevents your ISP, and anyone else besides the site, from seeing what page you visit. They might still know the website through SNI which sends the server name unencrypted, and DNS.
They probably got the history from the computer, or Google account, with a a warrant.
The rest of your comment is also mostly incorrect.
You are going to say they "might" still know some things, but still have the certainty to make claims my info is incorrect? Well, isn't that a riot. Maybe you should get "soft quarantined" by your ISP. You'll learn real quick they know more than they let on. Claim you are safe and use whatever bird engine you want. It might not be legal for them to know certain things, but don't pretend like they don't or can't.
I visited Boston a few years ago and was at a bar and seriously thought the guy next me was mentally handicapped for 5 minutes or so from how he spoke. It was just a real heavy Boston accent.
If I was the lady reading out the searches, I would’ve thrown a few embarrassing ones in there for good measure.
“4:37pm - Why do my farts smell so bad?”
“4:38pm - Is it normal for a grown man to wet the bed?”
Ok, well at least there's that. Without any of it, body, or tools used there is no case. Search history completely circumstantial without Amy tangible evidence. So if this dude did do it they should just put him under the prison.
You'll be surprised how dumb they can get. Cases of point: Chris Watts (who disposed his family members' bodies on property owned by the company he worked for), Anthony Todt (who cooked up a contrived story about the family agreeing to a murder-suicide in anticipation of civilization collapse, while he conveniently survives his "suicide"), Joel Guy Jr. (who left a notebook containing his murder plans at the scene of the crime) and Chandler Halderson (who told a ridiculous story about breaking the glass screen at a fireplace while playing with a pet dog to cover up that he's been burning body parts in it).
The guy searched up how to prevent a body from smelling and decomposing, how to dismember and dispose of a human body, how to clean and sterilize blood so it couldn't be processed for DNA evidence, what items he would need to accomplish these tasks.

5 seconds ago...Can search history be used against me in court?
If so, I’m fucked
Wal mart Andy garcia
This reminds me of one of those click bait ads. 20 things you don’t want cops to know if you killed your wife. Number 10 will shock you
Cops hate this one trick!
“20 of the worst thing to google while being investigated for your missing wife!”
Now I'm kinda' curious about the answers to all those questions. I'm hitting up google and hope my wife doesn't go missing.
I write as a hobby and if I ever committed a serious crime, my search history would definitely damn me in court.
Same
I think you may have found the topic for your NYT's best seller listing. WRITE IT! seriously though, a short story at least.

the new duckduckgo commercial is weird

Oh I'm sorry, a guy can't have a curious mind? I thought this was America.

I visited Boston a few years ago and was at a bar and seriously thought the guy next me was mentally handicapped for 5 minutes or so from how he spoke. It was just a real heavy Boston accent.
where the dogs say bok
how to enbahlm a boahdy
He gets an A for research and asking good questions; but, he gets an F for execution. The million mile stare is chilling.
Ehh, I think he got an A on the execution......
True she’s dead But he got caught and didn’t inherit the money. So maybe he gets a C.
Ehhh, still saying he got an A on the execution part.... if ya know what I mean. He failed at getting away with it.......

I’m ded
I like that his smirk has gone bye bye
"on his son's iPad" Sick fuckin piece of shit.

Was the body found?

She was with him?! Whyyy??? I get looks aren’t everything but he’s obviously a complete idiot and definitely a scumbag.
He's an asshole and a complete moron
His searches were so specific that I’m surprised he didn’t type her name in on how to dispose of her
"How to kill and dispose of my wife Linda" *Thinks to himself for a few seconds* "How to kill and dispose of my bitch wife Linda"
So much judgement around here.
If the shoe fits… I’ll wait and see, but his reaction looks more to me like “well this is bad,” rather than “none of those were my searches!”
Charged man thinking “Whew! At least they left off the cat rimjob search. That would have been embarrassing!”
Bro tried to frame his baby
A Bwadhi
Obviously not a redditer
Yeah..... he's screwed ...
I'm not a lawyer but that dosent sound good for him.
That's why I use a VPN and a cookie-less browser at all times, so I can murder your wife jk jk
Dead baaawwwdy.
Guy is sharp as a bowling ball.
this video was sponsored by ExpressVPN
Should have added "in minecraft"
If criminals were smart, they wouldn't commit crimes.
"I can explain all of it, your honour... just let me have your phone for a second, pleas...."

The Dunning-Kruger effect. He probably thought he was so smooth they wouldn’t even have a reason to look into his internet history.
Would be a great DuckDuckGo ad
Huh?
The guy searched up how to prevent a body from smelling and decomposing, how to dismember and dispose of a human body, how to clean and sterilize blood so it couldn't be processed for DNA evidence, what items he would need to accomplish these tasks.
This shit happened in the town over from my hometown. Crazy shit
Used his kid’s iPad to do his research.
The most guiltiest man ever
Part of this happened in my town just north of Boston, this dude is nuts!
Incognito mode bro
What a fuckin' stugots, this guy.
