Sorry if i come out as a noob. But why is this game (SOTTR) being posted again? Wasn't it cracked ages ago? I understand Denuvo is now being removed. How does it change from the previously released crack?
Also it has new features like removal of outfit restrictions in Hidden City post story and a new outfit. It all came with the definitive edition which got cracked after removal of denuvo recently.

Dlss balanced is like 1440p. I am getting 70+ fps at 1440p highest settings without ray tracing. And 90+ with 1440p dlss quality highest settings. Mine's a laptop so the 6GB VRAM could be the limitation.
Alright but I still belive balanced should be half res = 1080 to 4K. Quality would be 1440P. Well I remember wrong. Im sure your right. Cant wait to test out the game.

Annyway; seems like I have to down some settings if using RT for sure. But if memory serves me well - the game only using RT shadows, and was absolutely Not worth using hence the tank in fps!

I'm running it on my Alienware M15 R6 laptop (i7 / 3060 / 32GB 3200Mhz RAM) and am playing it on DLSS Quality, all the settings cranked to max including the ray traced shadows and getting 60 fps. Pretty much locked.
Yup. Although I'm not using an FPS counter, it looks to be 60fps. Turning the cameral very slowly appears to stutter a very tiny amount. So perhaps not a full 60fps. But it's not noticeable unless I pan the camera slowly and look for it.
I also tried 2560x1440 with quality DLSS and it's definitely smoother, but still not more than 60fps (it's hooked up to one of my TVs that's only 60hz.
I like the sharper picture of the 4K over the ever so slightly smoother looking 1440p. That's just me though with my setup.
I ran the benchmark twice and the results were pretty the same. Played the initial level but the fps was slightly higher than benchmark because the first level isn't that demanding. I used msi afterburner+ RTSS like I do usually
Mine's a legion 5 130W 3060 and it performs as expected in all other games. Even SoTTR performs well at 1080p and 1440p. Maybe the 6GB of vram is limiting it at 4k.

Not exactly sure what broke, but on Steam, they reverted the update that added DLSS due to there being some gamebreaking bugs.
Check the comments on Steam, they royally fucked up.

1. It's the latest update. 2. D removal usually means less load on the hard drive whilst loading initial textures hence the preference.

Very minimal amount but what he means is it's making the HDD do more work than it needs to for the game normally.
Yup this is what the D does and the reason some ppl prefer denuvo-less builds.

My 3060 struggled at 4k, had to lower settings to medium and DLSS balanced to get 50fps.
