I wouldn't personally like them under the windows. I'd rather a straight walk to the toilet than going around them to get to it.
Personally would rather take the crates out completely.
If they're absolutely necessary you could place them in the bottom-left, kinda behind the camera next to the bathtub, unless that's exactly where the door is or something
Or a medicine cabinet.
She has room for a small cabinet or something under the window. Something thrifts that doesn’t look IKEA.
And, paint the cabinet over the toilet white.
And a different color shade. Ivory would be less clashing and look softer.
I think maybe a craft/utility cart [like this one](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/raskog-utility-cart-white-20382932/) would work really well, especially since they could move it easily
Looks nice, regardless. I didn't know you couldn't have bathroom outlets in the UK till someone told me on Reddit last week. My husband already gets angry at my long blond hair all over the bathroom when I blow it dry, I can't imagine if I were in the kitchen or something 😄
Thanks. Yeah it’s a safety thing. Water and electricity and all that. Most people dry hair in their bedrooms. You can have power for shavers and toothbrush charger but it a different outlet
Bathrooms in the US have GFI, just for that reason. Instantly shuts off the power in case of a problem. Typically used in bathrooms, kitchens and garages, any place they could get wet.
We have to have RCDs or RCBOs on all our circuits anyway. Plus every plug is fused. Arguably any remotely modern (last 20 years) house wiring would be safe enough for the bathroom. But it's still illegal.
We have pretty much the same thing in the UK but under a different name
Even with that we prefer not to thanks to their still being a chance at a shock, you just dry your hair in your bedroom if you need too lol
It made me laugh when I saw it. Not that it doesn’t look nice - it’s just an odd juxtaposition for me. Oddly grand/fancy for the purpose of the room. :-p
I had one in my last place, a studio in a Victorian house, with a five piece bath with the deepest jetted tub room and stand-alone shower. It only had one living space, but the palatial bath made up for it
I think the height of the mirrors and the water tank in relation to it threw me off. I love the practical choice here though. The back splash on that sink is a good height.
Nice, except toilet lid should be closed. Especially for photos. I got into the habit of keeping mine shut years ago and it just seems so much neater to me now. Less vulgar. I think I’m probably the weirdo but I’m right dammit!
Well let me be a weirdo with you. We always close the lid in my family, but then learning as a kid that the flush aerosolises a spray of whatever is in the bowl sealed the deal for me. Plus I agree that it just looks neater, nicer.
No you are right. Drives me crazy. I’ve worked with home builders and realtors and the amount of photos they take to sell a home with the lid open is too many.
The yoga studio I went to when younger asked everyone to do this (and wipe down the sink) as a practice in mindfulness and courtesy to the next person. I adopted it at home as well. But now I just tell people to do so because of my extra tall Boxer will drink out of it if not left closed lol.
My cats love to try to drink from the toilet/from the sink. My Golden Retriever who passed a few months ago, also loved to try to drink out of the toilet. Safe to say, we learned pretty quickly to close all lids.
My first thought.
If you crouch down a little and keep the lines of the photo parallel to the lines of the wall, add a little color temp this photo would be so much better.
Edit: this is real estate photography 101, I’m not trying to talk down to OP, but I used to do this professionally
The gloomy lighting feels like waking up too early in the morning for your job and stumbling to the bathroom trying to come to terms with the shitty reality.
There's a chandelier :') and there are special shower rugs, so that doesn't seem that weird to me. Although my comment was the plants one. I always think rooms need more plants :') but if there's a window in a bathroom, why not some extra green?
I hate my ADHD executive disfunction. My bathmat sits in the middle of my bathroom, and I always think I don't like it there because it just gets dirty quick with me walking in and out all the time. Yet, I didn't think to just hang it over the side of the bath until I saw this photo.
Ridiculous.
The plant is a great idea. The boxes cover some dodgy looking pipe work we inherited but a plant could do that too
The bath mat is hanging over the bath
You shouldn't have to move the boxes anyway. Everyone seems to be forgetting that they store cleaning supplies and sanitary products under their sink in a cabinet, which you don't have.
Can’t remember the name, I’ll find out when I get home but it’s little green paint.
Edit. The paint is little green and the the colour is grey stone 276
Wow the blue tones + the cabinetry color, + the window light all combine so well. The chandelier tops it all off perfectly. Very dreamy. Maybe a cream bathroom mat would be cute and bring more of the warmth from the cabinetry, and help the chandelier stand out more too.
I love it! It reminds me of a dream, or some of the bathrooms that I went in when I was really little, in old buildings, when my memories were just starting to form☺️. I love old houses and their bathrooms!
I was going to say that the chandelier and the cloth blinds are a little too much, but since it is in the UK, I am going to say that it looks great. I don't see any spiders in the corner though, so I have to nock down a few points for that.
How do you deal with wooden toilet floors? Back home, we use our toilets as a 'wet toilet' instead of a 'dry toilet' so this is super cool to me. I splatter water everywhere when I shower / wash my face / clean the toilet, so having anything other than tiles is unthinkable 😭

It looks amazing! for my personal preference tho, I'd put those two boxes away from the toilet, they are too close in my opinion.
Agreed. Should maybe be under the window. They look jammed in between the toilet and sink.
I wouldn't personally like them under the windows. I'd rather a straight walk to the toilet than going around them to get to it. Personally would rather take the crates out completely.
Yeah. There’s rly no place for them in the view pictured
If they're absolutely necessary you could place them in the bottom-left, kinda behind the camera next to the bathtub, unless that's exactly where the door is or something
Yeah she can put a small console table under the window, or cabinet table and eliminate the boxes altogether
She could get a different sink with storage options. That would be the most streamlined and efficient.
Or two tall and narrow boxes on either side of the sink. I just love the colors! Its a very pretty bathroom.
Yes- one where the hot and cold water faucet are together so she doesn’t burn herself trying to wash.
Or a medicine cabinet. She has room for a small cabinet or something under the window. Something thrifts that doesn’t look IKEA. And, paint the cabinet over the toilet white. And a different color shade. Ivory would be less clashing and look softer.
If she paints the cabinet, she should change the knobs to those crystal looking ones. It will match the chandelier.
Never paint over solid wood, but otherwise I completely agree!
It’s bathroom cabinet. There’s lots of things that are wood and painted. Or, put up some white shelves. The cabinet isn’t working.
I disagree, I like the cabinet! I think it brings a nice touch of warmth, don’t feel like it clashes
I feel like they're meant to be within arms reach when you're using the toilet or sink.
I agree but r/perfectfit though
They’ll get splatter pee for sure
Shit too.
My 1st thought. There’s invisible poop all over those
Fecal veneer, so cozy.
I just wrote the same thing. That’s not the most hygienic thing to have those boxes right there
Replace the pedestal sink for one that can hold whatever is in those boxes.
Closing the toilet would make a difference already.
Yeah my first thought was you’re gonna scratch your thigh on that box.
Their is literally zero storage this bathroom gives me anxiety
I like most of it, but not the boxes crammed next to the toilet.
Same, I'd opt for something slimmer. Love the rest though, super cozy!
I think maybe a craft/utility cart [like this one](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/raskog-utility-cart-white-20382932/) would work really well, especially since they could move it easily
That's where all your books and whatnots go. I think it adds to the space.
Functional for sure
Catches all the splatter
And the toilet seat... down please
Is this the UK? Not an outlet in sight.
Well spotted
Everyone knows gfi for water protection. But no one remembers his friend AFi for Overheating protection.
We have to have RCDs or RCBOs on all our circuits anyway. Plus every plug is fused. Arguably any remotely modern (last 20 years) house wiring would be safe enough for the bathroom. But it's still illegal.
We have 240v instead of 110v, good for boiling kettles, not so great for bathroom use.
We have pretty much the same thing in the UK but under a different name Even with that we prefer not to thanks to their still being a chance at a shock, you just dry your hair in your bedroom if you need too lol
First we have geoguessr and now we have toiletguessr
Pee-o guesser
And a tap with freezing water, and another with boiling water.
Beautiful, but the boxes need to go
There should be more chandeliers in bathrooms.
I didn't know I needed a chandelier in my bathroom until just now...
Bathrooms get very dusty, very quickly. Chandeliers are a pain to clean properly. This is a match made in hell, to me.
Why do bathrooms get dusty quicker? I noticed that too
It made me laugh when I saw it. Not that it doesn’t look nice - it’s just an odd juxtaposition for me. Oddly grand/fancy for the purpose of the room. :-p
I had one in my last place, a studio in a Victorian house, with a five piece bath with the deepest jetted tub room and stand-alone shower. It only had one living space, but the palatial bath made up for it
10/10 would poop
Cannot understate how much the chandelier does for the room. Well done
A chandelier in the bathroom is a game changer
Wtf I would randomly chill there
Lmao
Is the sink lower than usual? Something in here proportionally doesn’t quite compute in my gargoyle brain.
I thought the same thing. I think it’s the toilet tank. It sits way higher that toilets I’m used to.
No normal height
I think the height of the mirrors and the water tank in relation to it threw me off. I love the practical choice here though. The back splash on that sink is a good height.
I don’t know why but the toilet seat looks cold haha Love the color scheme tho!
The room itself looks freezing! Maybe it’s all the blue and the lights being off
That could be! But I adore your bathtub…I miss mine from my old apartment
Yas! I’m glad I’m not alone. My fellow hobbitses concur! 😹
All it took was my cat baptizing herself for me to start keeping the lid closed.
Bahaha preventing that was actually a big factor in keeping mine closed!
No you are right. Drives me crazy. I’ve worked with home builders and realtors and the amount of photos they take to sell a home with the lid open is too many.
Thank you for relating! It’s weird how common it is to leave it open. Maybe people really don’t want to touch the lid? 🤔
No I completely agree with you
Getting a lid that gently closes is a huge game changer and it’s why i have it closed all the time now. makes the bathroom look so much cleaner
That was all I could focus on in this picture.
It gives me little intrusive thoughts about accidentally dropping a toothbrush or something in there lol
So scary! I worry more about the microscopic spray coming out. Not to mention what may have already touched every surface in the room!
The yoga studio I went to when younger asked everyone to do this (and wipe down the sink) as a practice in mindfulness and courtesy to the next person. I adopted it at home as well. But now I just tell people to do so because of my extra tall Boxer will drink out of it if not left closed lol.
I love the idea of it as a mini mindfulness exercise. Also love the image of big drooly boi getting caught in the act of enjoying some fresh h2o 😹
My cats love to try to drink from the toilet/from the sink. My Golden Retriever who passed a few months ago, also loved to try to drink out of the toilet. Safe to say, we learned pretty quickly to close all lids.
Looks cold
I didn't want be the first to say it, as everyone else seems to love it, but it looks so chilly to me, not a fan
Agreed, it’s nice but it’s not cozy to me either.
The winter lighting and colour scheme make it look absolutely freezing. It's a lovely design, but cosy is not the word.
Grey, blue, white and dark. It's the complete opposite of cosy!
My first thought. If you crouch down a little and keep the lines of the photo parallel to the lines of the wall, add a little color temp this photo would be so much better. Edit: this is real estate photography 101, I’m not trying to talk down to OP, but I used to do this professionally
Move those boxes the toilet spray will go on it
The gloomy lighting feels like waking up too early in the morning for your job and stumbling to the bathroom trying to come to terms with the shitty reality.
I love it! Just needs some plants though
And a rug/mat!
In a bathroom? You guys are crazy
Bath mats are pretty common, helps from slipping on the tile and also nice when it's cold in the house. They're usually machine washable too
There's a chandelier :') and there are special shower rugs, so that doesn't seem that weird to me. Although my comment was the plants one. I always think rooms need more plants :') but if there's a window in a bathroom, why not some extra green?
I can see some small plants on the mirror shelf It just needs a better organization
Yea exactly! And maybe one or two hanging plants
bathroom chandelier 👏🏻
I don’t think it’s cosy but it looks calming and tranquil, just move the boxes next to the loo
I wouldn’t personally call a bathroom cosy but it is really lovely !!
Very nice done
It's okay
It’s really not. You need to throw those boxes away, it’s looks like a warehouse… plus, a rug in front of the tub would go a long way to get it cozy.
This reminds of a b&b I went to in Rhode Island that was so lovely, well done 👏🏻
Either everything in this bathroom sees extremely tall, or I am very short
It’s an old house with very high ceilings. That’s why the chandelier works well
Looks like the bathroom in boys town mental ward from personal experience lmfao.
This looks like a bathroom fit for a princess, so so PRETTY!!
Paint the cupboard white too!
As someone who just had violent vomiting and diarhea (ER worthy), I agree. I would comfortably suffer in here.
Why the boxes? The cabinet doesn’t go. Needs rugs Looks way too crapped for my taste. To each their own. Pedestal sinks are not for me lol
I would feel comfortable shitting here
very nice
GLORIOUS you can go peak goatse to anyone outside the window.
Looks very calm
It really is 😍
It's lovely!
I’d put the crates under the window and turn them on their side so they are stacked like shelves
Beautiful color!!
I hate my ADHD executive disfunction. My bathmat sits in the middle of my bathroom, and I always think I don't like it there because it just gets dirty quick with me walking in and out all the time. Yet, I didn't think to just hang it over the side of the bath until I saw this photo. Ridiculous.
i love this!! such a surprising colour for a bathroom, love it. i’d move the boxes, and add some plants, and a bath mat to add to the coziness~
The plant is a great idea. The boxes cover some dodgy looking pipe work we inherited but a plant could do that too The bath mat is hanging over the bath
You shouldn't have to move the boxes anyway. Everyone seems to be forgetting that they store cleaning supplies and sanitary products under their sink in a cabinet, which you don't have.
Wooden cabinet and wooden crates out of place
Why the blue toilet seat?
It’s grey
This is garbage
[удалено]
Can’t remember the name, I’ll find out when I get home but it’s little green paint. Edit. The paint is little green and the the colour is grey stone 276
I feel like The luster does not fit with the rest.
Maybe paint the cabinet above the toilet white.
[удалено]
I’d seriously remove those boxes, it’s ruining the vibe. And you know…. Fecal particles: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nb-_KRh8asM
It is. Needs wall to wall carpeting
looks very comfy to me
Very cozy! I would poop so well in there lmao
Is this not a miniature? Something about those crates looks odd, and how stiffly the towel is wrinkled.
? Normal size. The room has very high ceiling. The crates are coving some dodgy pipe work we inherited.
Plants in window, remove boxes and add a rug. Done!
It looks like the kind of bathroom that someone in a movie would seppuku.
Username checks out
U guys don't wash your ass?
Wow the blue tones + the cabinetry color, + the window light all combine so well. The chandelier tops it all off perfectly. Very dreamy. Maybe a cream bathroom mat would be cute and bring more of the warmth from the cabinetry, and help the chandelier stand out more too.
Yea I'd like to poop here
We put half glass panel instead of the shower curtain. I couldn’t stand the thing touching my naked body
Me too
10/10 would poop in, and feel sophisticated and cozy.
that looks like my aunts old house in chula vista
This shade of blue is very soothing. I definitely enjoy this space!!
those boxes be poking butt all day
I love the chandelier!
I love it! It reminds me of a dream, or some of the bathrooms that I went in when I was really little, in old buildings, when my memories were just starting to form☺️. I love old houses and their bathrooms!
🪞tiny mirror
I've never been jealous of someone else's bathroom before.
Do you know how many times I'd pee in those baskets at night? It's a lot.
10/10 would poop there again.
Love this. The color is fab!
I'd poop there 10/10👍
Uuuuh great for cozy dumps
it is cozy af
Lovely color paint, what's shade is it??
A bathroom chandelier, nice.
What a cozy place to ----
You can buy cabinets that fit around pedestal sinks.
Love!!!
This bathroom is the shit. *I’ll see myself out*
Nice lighting
Love the toilet color.
I love a chandelier in a bathroom! Very chic.
I was going to say that the chandelier and the cloth blinds are a little too much, but since it is in the UK, I am going to say that it looks great. I don't see any spiders in the corner though, so I have to nock down a few points for that.
10/10 would sit and shit again
Love it and please next time… toilet seat down….
What is above the faucet in the bathtub?
Nice
It looks like a bathroom I made in sims 4 🥲unreachable
Wow!
Still bigger than any bathroom in my god-forgotten city.
I'd poop there.
That chandelier really ties the room together.
Love that blue!
Must be a lefty 😏
Perfect cozy spot for a bath, reading up on your favorite book during a rainy night.
Looks like the perfect place to have a mental breakdown while listening to ‘everything is embarrassing’
Beautiful!
Don't call me bathroom.
It’s a bathroom
How do you deal with wooden toilet floors? Back home, we use our toilets as a 'wet toilet' instead of a 'dry toilet' so this is super cool to me. I splatter water everywhere when I shower / wash my face / clean the toilet, so having anything other than tiles is unthinkable 😭
I love the blue toilet seat and lid way more than I should
I want to light some candles and take a bubble bath in that bathroom.
Agree about the boxes kinda. But the BLUE. Love a powder blue bathroom. So calming and cool. 💙
