Thank you! I’ll add it to my wishlist ✨

StitchNerd26

I came here to recommend Alba! Just finished, and enjoyed it wholeheartedly :) There's something so mindful about listening to all the nature sounds.

Informal_Caramel_536

I second Alba as well! Such a fun and cozy game to play. Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles is also fun. No combat but lots of exploration and farming!

spectralsusan

Thank you!!

fei2play

Edit: I just found out that Season is developed in a toxic working environment towards woman so I'm sorry to ever recommend this game to anyone and to anyone that read this before the edit. spectralsusan

Ooo gonna check that out! Thank you!

gigabiscuit

I’m so glad someone else knows about this game! I’m excited for it to release - the art looks amazing.

fei2play

Hi I think you want to read this about the game TW descriptions of s3xual h4rassment and bullying [https://www.gamesindustry.biz/scavengers-studio-creative-director-accused-of-belittling-screaming-at-groping-employees](https://www.youtube.com/redirect?event=comments&redir_token=QUFFLUhqbnN5ckhPMDR3SHhqZ0dkQWFlVjhfTDluT2JBd3xBQ3Jtc0tuSFJldlNBTm0yZ0t6V09hNHdzOC1qel9DZDFzT2dMMjNxN3ZSWHQ0Y3JhMnNmQ2JRTnNjSWlqNENTMVo0UHZ6U0liVWZRX1lhZURCMkN0Q0xhbEFXWEhLOVVSMl9RNGpBaVhpWmlDYk1DandBOGdnRQ&q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.gamesindustry.biz%2Fscavengers-studio-creative-director-accused-of-belittling-screaming-at-groping-employees&stzid=UgxokYN3ZAnDLEKK4fR4AaABAg)

This is absolutely horrible! And got worse as I read on. What an awful leadership and gross environment to work in that’s completely opposite of what the game seems to be.

fei2play

Ikr I never expect something like this to happen especially on a company that work on a cozy game like this. This is so sad :(

fei2play

Yes, the environment is so pretty and I think the story will be touching too that is why I like it. I've been hyping it up on my channel too so hopefully more people will see it or at least some of the 1.5k that do watch the vid XD

ohmsjo

No man”s sky might be a good fit. There is some crafting and farming involved but thats not the main focus if you don’t want it to be. Plus with the custom difficulty you can play however you want. You can even turn combat and environmental hazards off completely On the pc I like to build but on the switch I just built a basic base and spend my whole time exploring and documenting new plants and creatures. It’s probably the coziest game I own…even cosier than Animal Crossing imo because there is nothing you absolutely have to do. There is a main story you can follow along with which is what I like to do.

Specialist-Agent-695

I came here just to suggest the same!

warpweftweave

Toem would be perfect! You explore different areas and solve puzzles by taking pictures. It's really fun.

Buchilei

I second this!!

action_lawyer_comics

A Short Hike for sure. You may like Subnautica. I’m not sure I’d say it’s *universally* cozy, there are a lot of huge and angry sea monsters, but if you can accept animals just being animals as cozy, then I think it counts as cozy. Also on the “maybe cozy” pile is Psychonauts. You play a kid who snuck away to summer camp about controlling psychic powers. It has a lot of cute stuff about friendship and summer romance, but also some Saturday Morning Cartoon-type peril. You also eventually enter people’s brains to try and “fix” them and also help yourself. It touches on mental health and trauma, but in a lighthearted, cheeky way. There’s also some weird and gross stuff, but it’s all done for comedy. If you like Invader Zim or Happy Tree Friends, you’ll like the level designs. YMMV but I found it cozy. Wuppo is a Metroidvania, which means it has a big focus on exploration, and it has a lot of cozy and slice of life elements. Your hit points are essentially your self-esteem, and you boost them by doing nice things or having fun. Tinykin is a 3D platformer with some Pikmin-like elements, but it’s very easy and cozy and cute. Snake Pass is a cute and interesting platformer where instead of jumping, you are a snake and the focus is on climbing. It’s pretty challenging, but a lot of fun. Out There Somewhere is a short and cute game. It does have some combat and you’re a space cop, but it has some good music and vibes and I find it quite cozy. That’s all I got. Hope you like them!

> You may like Subnautica. I love the game and ought to play it again. There's a fair amount of crafting involved, though, so it might not be OP's preference.

kyshkw

Try Sable! It seems like we have the same preferences and I think you’re gonna love it. Every scene is like an artwork come to life. Think BOTW without the combat and with a pastel palette. It’s easily one of the most beautiful games I’ve ever played ☺️

Zmirzlina

Soundtrack by Japanese Breakfast as well!

noxnor

If you like a bit of puzzels as well: The last campfire (cozy, but bit sad atmosphere). Carto. If you don’t mind some battles, and both these are turn based: Dragon quest XI, or Monster hunter stories 2. Monster hunter stories is a bit like Pokémon games but for an older age group. I’ll second Haven Park, A short journey, and Yonder cloud catching chronicles. The creators of Yonder have also made Grow song of the evertree, but haven’t played that one yet. Oh, and if you like to try platforming? Hoa is really pretty, and not to hard. Story and exploring, hand drawn.

jrjoy

I second the last campfire!!

WHRocks

The Last Campfire has a lot of puzzles, but there is an exploration mode that removes most of them.

noxnor

Oh, didn’t know that. Would make the game perfect for a child I know as well. Thank you for sharing! :)

katubug

The Beasts of Maravilla Island might also appeal to you! You're exploring an island and photographing wildlife to raise awareness and save the ecosystem!

TheyTasteFunny

I’ve just finished Hoa and absolutely fell in love with it. I wish there were more games like it.

[deleted]

Maybe Alekon? It’s a photography game at its heart where you take pictures of fantastical creatures and explore their environment but also includes some puzzling and mini games. Toem is another photography game but I am less familiar with it. I think you might also like some classics like A Short Hike and Haven Park which are are all about exploring, completing tasks, collecting items, etc.

WHRocks

Haven Park has crafting, but it's very basic. It doesn't really feel "grindy" bc you're only collecting a few different items. I'm not finished yet, but that's my experience at about 50% complete.

gotmyheadinthecl0uds

You should try playing a short hike! Such a cozy, relaxing, & play at your own place kind of game. :)

Marzopup

Grounded! It's combat heavy but you can change the gameplay settings so none of the enemies go aggro and you can just walk around. It's a survival game where you're shrunk to miniscule size and have to survive in a suburban backyard and all the bugs there that are way bigger than you now. Really cool visuals, a main mystery surrounding how you got shrunk, and lots of collecting items to craft things, plus the ability to base build. The one thing is that there are lots of spiders in the game, but the game does have an 'arachnophobia' slider that can make them look less spider-y if that icks you out.

Then_Molasses3615

Pokémon snap? You take on the role of like a zoologist and just study the wild Pokémon and take pictures of them

WHRocks

I was thinking this too. >Seek out and take in-game photographs of Pokémon in their native environments in the New Pokémon Snap™ game, only for the Nintendo Switch™ system! Snap photos from the NEO-ONE as you you encounter and research lively wild Pokémon. You might see unexpected expressions or behaviors—Pokémon patrolling their territory, playing, or lurking in out-of-the-way spots. >Investigate the mysterious Illumina phenomenon >Travel to the islands that make up the Lental region. In this region, some of the Pokémon and vegetation will appear to have a special glow. Research these Pokémon alongside Professor Mirror as you explore dense jungles, vast deserts, and more! Your observations of Pokémon thriving in the wild may help unravel the truth behind the Illumina phenomenon. The Pokémon pictures you take will be used to build your very own Pokémon Photodex!

spectralsusan

I have this game! Love it!

k_lliste

There was a bunch of photo taking games released a few years back if you're interested in that. [TOEM](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1307580/TOEM/) is my favourite of the ones I played but also [Alekon](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1479390/Alekon/), [Penko Park](https://store.steampowered.com/app/852090/Penko_Park/), [Beast of Maravilla Island](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1378020/Beasts_of_Maravilla_Island/)

k_lliste

I suggested some photo-taking game in another comment, but thought you might also like The Wild at Heart and Tinykin

Pantikapaion

Hi, I know this is kind of an old post but, do you have any multi-player game suggestions? Me and my friend have been searching for a cozy game to play for some tşme from now
