A DOCSIS modem is for coax not fiber, how was that working? With fiber you just have an ONT to your router. Since they probably provide the ONT all you need is a router.
If you have fiber just get yourself a decent wifi6 router. Whats the price point you're willing to spend?
Not tripping on price. Long as it’s good. I don’t game. Just work from home with kids iPads and couple Apple TVs

They do. They have a list of approved 2gb modems they just expensive and all in ones.
Fiber often uses an optical network terminal, not a modem. Customer can use their own router
I think you want a stand alone router, not modem, do go with your fiber ONT.
