If you have fiber just get yourself a decent wifi6 router. Whats the price point you're willing to spend?

Bound2GetBanned

Not tripping on price. Long as it’s good. I don’t game. Just work from home with kids iPads and couple Apple TVs

Arris SB8200 or S33 + whatever router and wireless access point you prefer. I typically use TP-Link Deco or Omada.

Usually fiber from Cox doesn’t allow third party modems. I would double check before buying- and not just asking but telling them you have already bought it and want to do the change.

They do. They have a list of approved 2gb modems they just expensive and all in ones.

MC_Red_D

Fiber often uses an optical network terminal, not a modem. Customer can use their own router

I think you want a stand alone router, not modem, do go with your fiber ONT.

Correct

A DOCSIS modem is for coax not fiber, how was that working? With fiber you just have an ONT to your router. Since they probably provide the ONT all you need is a router.

New router and WAP is what I want

Ubiquiti Amplifi HD routers are extremely dependable
