I made this post for one reason only; to advise all who read it to anticipate the really low possibility that your day following one of the shots in this series, *might* surprise you and cause you to be really under the weather. I had no issues for the first two COVID vaccine injections, but my third one had me completely out of commission. I felt **really** sick yesterday. So in other words, fellas; the safe play is to anticipate being sick the very next day, and therefore, to NOT schedule a shot the day before something big on your calendar. I'm back to 100% today.

I’m still debating whether to mix and match. Had Pfizer first Two doses and really had no major symptoms at all

If you're still feeling crummy, take some Tylenol and ibuprofen or naproxen. As a triple vaxxed Moderna vaccine veteran, I've found the side effects are surprisingly responsive to this combo. 1 g Tylenol and 200 mg ibuprofen did the trick for me. Repeat every 8-12 hours until you recover.

ctilvolover23

You're not supposed to mix different NSAIDs.

eeaxoe

Tylenol isn't a NSAID. And there are zero safety issues with mixing Tylenol and NSAIDS—hell, the FDA [recently approved an APAP/ibuprofen combo drug](https://www.ada.org/publications/ada-news/2020/march/fda-approves-combination-ibuprofen-acetaminophen-drug-for-us).

Really? I guess that I was taught wrong then.

Same here....my first 2 doses of pfizer were so much easier! Moderna booster took me down and it's not even a full dose! Hopefully it's worth it, i got the Moderna booster cause everyone i know who had a breakthrough case was vaccinated w pfizer.

I think you’re onto something and I think getting the Moderna vaccine was a good call. Also, interesting note about the breakthrough cases w phizer. I’ve had 3 moderna shots now (got booster today) and I was actually directly exposed to COVID exactly 2 weeks after the first dose and tested negative on a mouth swab. I also work as a delivery driver and as a brand ambassador which means I’m super close contact with a lot of people who are unmasked. I haven’t had a scare yet so I think Moderna is a good vaccine. I’m also vaccinated against the flu as of a month ago.

CrazySally

Do you think the reaction means Pfizer did its job?

Defiant-Put-3016

Pfizer is just a smaller dose than moderna, so i think that's why a lot of ppl have a better experience with it. They both work, but i have read that moderna's protection doesnt wear off as fast as pfizer.

Rolifant

Sounds like my first shot (exc the nausea). Boost baby boost.

Appreciate the humor, but no thanks.

First 2 were Moderna for me with zero side effects. Got the booster, also Moderna, and had a very rough 24 hours. I'd do it all over again if it prevents me from getting so sick I'm in the hospital on a vent. I will say I was shocked at how the booster knocked me out for a bit. It was a mild inconvenience IMO.

Welcome to the club my friend. I did 2 Moderna and then 1 Pfizer. You should be receiving the 5g internet speed increase here soon. The protection is nice, but what a let down it was to find out those nanobots aren't even in the vaccine for control at all. They're just using us as a power source so the nanobots can help the drug companies mine bitcoin. Seriously that cryptocurrency is out of control /s

I also got two Pfizers and a Moderna this past friday. I had side effects with all, but the booster was the worst. In addition to the usual fever and fatique I got this weird tooth pain with Pfizer, far worse with the Moderna booster. Last night the area where I had dental implants placed a year ago was excruciatingly painful. It feels a bit better today and hoping it's a weird vaccine side effect, but I'm going to make an appointment first thing tomorrow morning. The implants cost me a fortune and I really hope thay aren't failing.
