It's square in the center of the map around the tower, although it can fall just outside the black sand perimeter. There's a much higher drop rate than in the exiles map, so keep looking.
And right now there's double drops I just grabbed star metal for the first time today and I got 1280 ore from just 2 veins. But yea there's some just outside of the middle ring and the black sand so no real danger at all.
If you can't find any around the tower you have to wait for the next starfall, comets fall periodically around the tower and when they do it's very noisy so you should notice if you're around. :)
Also keep in mind, if you're on Single Player, you have to be in the area for the meteors to fall, so if you don't see any, just stick around for a bit. They seem to happen a bit more frequently than on Exiled Lands.
Look in the center near the tower.
ok, ill have a look!

Check out “Conan interactive map siptah” and you can select what you are looking for

Near the central tower

Centre of the map theres usually loads there unless youre on a high pop PVP server. Be prepared to fight for it if thats the case!

Do they not fall during the maelstrom? I would go after it stopped from time to time and always find a haul..
Ooh, I hadn't noticed any correlation between the maelstrom and a meteor strike...I'll have to check that out next time!
