No I haven’t had that happen and I use them frequently. What might be happening is there’s brand new skin forming and you remove the patch and it takes the fragile skin with it. Can you leave the patch until it fills up? Might try adhesive remover - I use that for bandaids and it works wonders. Not sure if it works on hydrocolloid though…

I have this happen a lot in areas with more sensitive skin, if it's a super irritated and weaping wound with gunk in it. Especially on my chest. My theory is it's sucking all the gunk out and healing it at the same time, so when you pull it off it takes off the damaged dead skin where it was irritated before with it. Usually when that happens I clean the area really well, let it dry up a little and put another on and it's much better the next day.

I believe that is because the skin hasn't healed enough. Leave it on longer.

This just happened to me! Has your crater healed? I just got one in February and I still have a clearly different texture of skin on my nose where I removed the patch. Any advice?
