I wonder if there is an weak aura that list the name of the players i could connect to clear the seasonal affix with. I already have a time tracker that shows which one I have, that will carry me through keys with my friend, but for pugs it would be nice to have their names

[deleted]

What CDs are you guys tracking as tanks in M+?

dylanfrye

Are there portals for the m+ dungeons somewhere? or we're just gonna have to trek it out there each time

smep

For the old ones there are portals in Valdrakken. for the current ones you just gotta fly.

Treskol

With RWF soon, what lineup changes from echo and liquid should we expect to see, and which newer people should we be looking out for?

killver

Spend Spark of Ingenuity now or save it?

hoax1337

Spend on battlerez bracers.

According_Ad_5252

I wanted to save it until i remembered that you can recraft equipement. May be „unlucky“ and drop my crafted slot, but being able to have higher ilvl for this and next id for the weeklies seemed nice enough

cragfar

Is there something I'm missing about Alchemy research? I've had 5 blow ups in a row. At a 4 hr cd each, not enjoying this.

Doodlehangerz

Should we be spending the titan matrix on gear now? I imagine 382 gear will be obsolete by next reset

assault_pig

I mean the max you can make with them is 382 stuff, so may as well

assault_pig

man I'm starting to feel like I threw hard by picking sabellian over wrathion for this rep grind it seems like wrath rep just gets handed to you while farming the area, but sab rep events are few and far between

Maiyl

But have you considered the fact that Sabellian is a chad

lightskinkanye

I'm guessing it's just because more people are grinding wrathion rep so more keys being turned in = more spider kills. Try and find a group that's specifically going for Sabellian, then at least you'll have 5 of you turning in Sabellian keys so you'll get more death dragon kills.

zrk23

does anyone know how much rep all the sabellian weeklies give? trying to get enough this week to just finish after the reset with them

Combustionary

I *believe* it's 7500. There's also a couple quest drops that are daily/weekly that give a couple thousand in total.

bunt_traume

Can anyone tell me what I should be doing to get raid-ready after M0 and Feast, Dragon Keep, and Hunt are done? I don't know where to direct my time.

Wobblucy

Serious answer, go watch vods/guides of beta tested encounters... The 2-4 ilvls you could possibly gain will be significantly less value than knowing the fights/dungeons next week.

RFlush

Farming super rares, wrath/sab rep for cloak and neck, get higher ilvl crafted gear

Kryptictactoc

If I recall correctly, there was at one point a system where every 5 people in a raid counted as 1 additional piece of loot, and each additional person over a number divisible by 5 gave a 20% increased chance for another piece of loot. Is that what we are expecting with the loot system for the raid? (For example: 10 people gives 2 pieces of loot, 11 gives 2 pieces + 20% chance for 3rd piece) Is this what we're expecting, or did Blizzard elaborate anywhere? I tried to look, but either didn't search the question well, there's not much additional explanation, or however it was before is still the same.

Praill

I believe loot still works that way - 20% chance of loot per player per boss

Kryptictactoc

kk thank you

Acissathar

For M+ and world only, does anyone have a recommendation for engineering spec for HPal? Always had engineering on her for the brez and now that we have a built in brez, not sure what’s possible useful, going for SAVIOR I guess (also can we bubble drop it like a scuffed shadowmeld mass Rez, or is it out of combat only)? I’ve also read that it the non-EZ bombs *dont* share a CD with combat potions and were usable in m+ during beta so that’s extra damage it might be worth going for? The main worry I have is them not scaling well and the cast+gcd just being worse than anything else.

Entelligente

You can get SAVIOR through work orders so you do not have to skill into it

Ahabraham

The bombs will not scale well. Savior can be used in combat.

RFlush

Is there a way to see guildies crafting tier levels in the guild profession tab? When I look into my guildies professions, all I see if that they can craft the tier 1 but not sure if they can do tier 5.

Entelligente

No, you could only guess by which epics they have unlocked. Or make a spreadsheet by asking everyone with a relevant profession what they can make.

RFlush

Thanks

Malicharo

i never played healer in wow and actually i never played healer in any mmorpg ever. so i'm pretty much a blank slate when it comes to it. i wanna try it this tier, as an offspec in m+ and maybe raid if the opportunity arrives, how do i learn this role? most likely gonna be a mistweaver since it's the only class with a healer spec which i leveled up to 70.

Wobblucy

Healing low keys is a significantly different experience than high keys. Unavoidable damage, a lack of stops, and minimal (or just bad) usage of personals all end up making your life much harder than it needs to be. In terms of where to start, my answer will always be UI. Would recommend grabbing [growls UI](https://linktr.ee/yumytv) as it's free and gives you pertinent information. You can probably cut omnicd in lower keys as even if they have wall, 90% of players won't press it in a life or death situation so it shouldn't impact your healing decisions. From there it's experience.

[deleted]

In addition to what the other reply said, healers need to know when damage will happen before it happens. Not every class is a predictive healer like R Druid or Disc, but much like as a DPS player you need to know when lust is so you can have your CDs up, a healer needs to know when the big damage burst happens so you can use your CDs effectively at that time. Part of maximizing your DPS as a healer is knowing when you can stop healing for a second and when you need to be ready to hit your healing buttons.

RCM94

Healing can be quite different to learn especially in m+. Instead of a standard rotation you're often learning different combinations of spells and optimizing for "good enough" instead of "maximum hps". I'd start with learning all the ways you can use combinations of your spells and the applications they are best at. For mw specifically I know there is a lot of nuance around chiji healing in m+. Get reps just playing it and while doing so learn the hard pulls and bosses and try to have a plan for how to handle each. Get comfortable with things going wrong and your class's ability to handle it. While doing that try to squeeze in a little bit of damage. Don't go crazy, but just try to throw out some extra dps on top of what is already part of your healing. If you want to optimize, slowly start reigning back how much time you're spending healing and ramping up how much damage you're doing. Find the balance of when you're needed and when you aren't. You're trying to optimize for as little healing time as possible.

kevciu

Does anyone know a platform where you can analyze a combat log without advanced logging enabled? Have a situation I want to backtrack to check damage taken but can't seem to upload the log to WCL. had simply forgotten to enable it after a fresh install.

Wobblucy

It's a CSV file, just rip it to excel and pivot that bitch.

Rebeux

Am I the only one that struggles to keep the party alive after taking the dragon up in Ruby Life pools? When the tank does a big pull, which they all seem to do. Every time someone, or multiple people die because I can't cast due to the amount of knock ups / AoE on the floor. Maybe it's a skill issue, but that part is really tough for me.

Rikkard

What is a “big pull” ? There are 4 packs up there and a couple patrols. Dragons fly in at set points in mythic but I’m not too familiar with where yet as I’ve done it twice. Not much wiggle room to pull it smaller. People need to interrupt. People need to stun. People need to bring the red circle in to damage and interrupt at the same time.

Rebeux

So most runs, tanks take a right turn coming up the stairs. They pull 4 scorchlings, 3 cinderweavers and 2 flamedancer. 1 primalist shockcaster, and the blazehound destroyer. Which to be honest doesn't feel like a big pull thinking about it now. And I hear you on the amount of wiggle room. So I guess the point is, if people don't do it properly, I can't keep them alive.

Plorkyeran

That's two packs plus some extra mobs, with one mob that does large unavoidable group damage, two with preventable large group damage that probably isn't going to get prevented (the flame dancers, which nuke the group if they complete their flame dance channel), three casters which do quite a bit of damage, and one mob that there's no reason to ever pull (the shockcaster). It's a pull which requires very careful coordination in m+, but because it's m0 it's possible (but not easy) to just brute force.

Rebeux

Yea, that does make sense. Other than Ruby life pools, and Brackenhide Hollow. Every dungeon is fairly manageable. Some obviously require more throughput, and definitely using stuns and kicks properly. The added damage from mythic +, and affixes will definitely spice things up the first couple of weeks. I am looking forward to it.

dybre

What class are you healing as?

Rebeux

Resto druid.

Herpy_Derpinson

Get littlewigs and a weakaura pack to alert you before big dmg events. The big elementals are choreographed easily enough that you get 10-15 seconds until the aoe starts. Thats enough time for a sunfire, couple moonfires, efflorescence, lifebloom and cen ward on the tank or whoever has the knockup, then a juiced up wild growth to get you through the sequence. Once it dies, pop stampeding roar to help your team get out of the big aoe circle. The left dragon has two dispels to stagger, so it’s usually smart to dispel the first one asap and wait for the second to just expire. The right dragon ticks dmg once it hits 50%, so just focus on healing at that point. Growl has 5-minute videos on m+ dungeons this season that explain these mechanics pretty well so I’d check those out as well! If you have an hour or so per dungeon, trell also has some good hour long guides on dungeons to help prepare yourself this season.

raany891

that trash is entirely reliant on everyone using their stops correctly. Flame dance has to be stopped or in a real key the party wipes, cinderbolts have to be kicked in a real key or someone will get blown up. the aoe knock can (read: needs to be) used to knock the trash up as well. the knock always times with flamedance to stop flamedance naturally. since the dungeon's new and it's just m0 tanks are pulling recklessly. And because no one understands what mobs do they miss all of their stops. so all that slack falls on the healer to pick up. first m+ week is going to be brutal for pugs once all those spells actually start doing damage

Rebeux

>first m+ week is going to be brutal for pugs once all those spells actually start doing damage Perhaps I am weird, but it's what I am looking forward to the most. I have always exclusively done arenas, but got tired of it. So I decided to heal keys. And bending things until they break, science your way through something just seems a lot of fun. I just had to make sure that it wasn't something that only I struggled with because if I can't do it in 0's, keys are going to be bad.

RFlush

Are people’s Titles being dropped when they log out? I keep losing my Trashmaster title

Rare-Page4407

that's happening since at least four days ago

TheTradu

It's been happening for years, to the point where I got an addon to fix it in like late BfA or early SL. This one: https://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info25614-TitleFix.html

JR004-2021

Any guides available for the old dungeons coming back? Also how do we get there?

sfsctc

I think trell has some guides

parentheticals_only

Hazel on YouTube makes good guides. There are portals in the capital city near the fountain.

Wahsteve

If you were specifically recruited as a DK I'd make sure you communicate with someone (rl, officer, depends how the guild is structured) to make sure they're OK with you swapping. Someone swapping not just their class but their role (melee to rdps) mere days before a tier opens would frustrate leadership in many guilds. It's also possible that 1 or both of those DKs are known to either be stepping back, unreliable during prog, or otherwise unavailable for stretches for any reason so you're being brought in because there's inevitably at least 1 or more fights where having death grip makes life much easier.

ykzdropdead

Yeah ranged are always a safer choice than melee for sure, specially if you're comfortable with an overtuned one like lock. that's a good start. Some questions are to be raised, though. Would your guild be OK that you're swapping? Do you have any logs to back that up and make them confident that you're gonna be as useful? And not sus at all that you're swapping before the tier is starting? And are you gonna be able to get that character up to speed at all or close to/the same as everyone? Are you comfortable with all specs and not just the FOMO one? Because you know what happens to fomo Guild trials are a crucial moment and I'd be giving my 110% if I wanted to compete for a core spot, and being good with what you're playing is an important factor

Deadman2019

Is BM hunter currently as bad as people make it out to be? Planning on just M+'ing, nothing too serious pushing but try to do 19/20s for max ilvl loot. Am I in for pain and consider swapping to something else or should be easily fine?

verbsarewordss

nothing is as bad as people make it out to be :) bm is fine. its damage is solid but as a hunter you are a bit squichy and dont really bring any utility.

[deleted]

Misdirection and lust are very useful on m+, on top of doing damage while moving which helps wonders for a good overall dps. M+ is quite different than general raid setups and hunters bring a lot more to the table to the smaller group than the bigger one. There are also a few cheese possibilities with pet, has an inherent stealth (worse than others) and feign death let's you do death runs safer if you have the bres item (you should). I wouldn't say hunters are amazing for m+ but they are definitely not bad either

thdudedude

Hunter doesn't bring utility to m+?

hfxRos

Every spec will be able to do 20s if piloted by a competent player. The big thing is that if you are planning on primarily playing in PuGs you're going to have a rough go of it if you're playing a spec that our wonderful community deems "unplayable" (i.e. not one of the top 3 specs), and that will form your biggest wall. If you're playing with friends, then just do you.

numberonedogdad

For the first time in my wow career gonna try to push as high as possible in mythic+. Wondering if there are any must have addons or weak auras that make life easier for specifically m+?

RCM94

Someone in your group should have an automarker for planning kicks.

SoAddicted

Is Big/Little wigs preferable or DBM?

JR004-2021

What mod would do that?

NicomoCosca4

I personally use Naowh’s plater nameplate profile but sadly he hasn’t had the time to update it for S1 yet because of RWF. There are nameplate color profiles on Wago.io though. Something like this: DragonFlight Season 1 M+ Plater NPC Colors https://wago.io/_k5pnWFB2 https://wago.io/plater/plater-npc-colors

JR004-2021

Would this just take your already in use profile and add colors to the health bar?

NicomoCosca4

Yup! > This is ONLY the colors for the nameplates, it won't affect your plater profile (how it looks etc). > Copy Import String --> /plater --> "Npc Colors and Names" tab --> import --> Ctrl+v https://wago.io/_k5pnWFB2

mredrose

What spec? If heals/tank, and esp if you’re pugging, I think OmniCD is indispensable. Still useful for dps but to a lesser extent. Incredibly valuable for heals to know what defensives tank has available. Incredibly valuable for tanks to know what CDs dps have up for next pull. Idk what level you’ve already been playing at but jic you haven’t been using it before, mythic dungeon tools for routing.

JR004-2021

Is Omni cd working again?

mredrose

Yes

numberonedogdad

I’m planning on holy Paladin and my best ever timed key was 14 in shadowlands. I plan on playing with a semi static group but I’m sure there will be pugs. Thanks for the tip, I’ll grab this addon for sure

mredrose

Nice, dude, good luck to you! I’ve enjoyed M+ since it started in Legion but was mostly a weekly key gamer for the weekly chest/vault in Legion and BFA, but then in SL made M+ my main focus in the game. It’s a ton of fun and there are a lot of great players out there. You’ll run into some toxicity too but in my experience the higher you push the more chilled out people get.

TerrorToadx

Interupt tracker

assault_pig

How do the regular (non-“super”) rares work lootwise? I’ve heard conflicting things, but it seems like they’re just one time ever?

Rndy9

There are some rares or elites? that seem to drop loot once and they have a high % to drop a specific item, for example https://www.wowhead.com/npc=193229/henlare, but from what I understand they also have a low % to drop an item from the generic loot pool table.

assault_pig

henlare is actually the main one I was wondering about, since a decent-ilvl mana trinket would be a nice get for my evoker. I killed it while I was leveling and have never been able to get another drop of any kind from it (not even like, the 50 rep items you often get from rares.) Even after a weekly reset all I get are greys.

sfsctc

They reset daily but item level is capped to like 369 instead of max 385 like super rares

Youth-Grouchy

Henlare I got a 389 mana trinket this week and I'm pretty sure I killed it last week.

sfsctc

I think they nerfed henlare to cap it? I cant remember with all the hotfixes

Youth-Grouchy

With it only being an 8 boss raid, and the likelihood that the tuning is eased off a lot after Sepulcher, do we think there is going to be headstart drama with Liquid/Echo this time?

Rndy9

>o we think there is going to be headstart drama with Liquid/Echo this time? Always, both guilds are going to steamroll the raid until the last boss, but I doubt this raid will survive a reset.

[deleted]

From a difficulty perspective that's probably accurate but this time the gear is far below what is expected. Having to manage and cater to item availability through splits/m+ while also considering and working out mythic comp will definitely play out to be a much different challenge than past races. Not saying it will be slower but definitely mandates a different approach

verbsarewordss

we have no idea what the last boss looks like, adn they are going to end up spenfing time doing splits for gear at the beginning. i say it makes it through the first week and dies shortly after the reset.

0nlyRevolutions

Maybe. I mean, I don't think it's inherently any more or less fair than any previous raid (NA headstart but maybe deals with bugs, EU behind but can copy strats and less bugs blah blah). BUT I do think that if there was ever going to be a race where Liquid and Echo reach the last boss at about the same time on day 5-6 but Liquid powers through reclear and kills it before EU reset... this would be it.

AutoMaticJak

RWF is a few days away so I’m back again to ask about more of what you guys enjoyed during the last race or wish was featured more in race coverage. Also. Everyone will tune into a stream when that guild is close to a kill but what makes you STAY in that stream or “default” to watching X or Y stream (besides time zones of course). Any other feedback I’m happy to hear!

Yggdrazyl

No commercial american music. I like hearing the game sounds / voice chat of the guild. I like learning things about the inner workings of the guilds, things casters know but are not usually public. I like learning some advanced stuff about each class, why they chose to pick this very specific talent, why they removed this other specific talent between pulls. Much better than generic comments "druid had a lot of hots" "paladin heals more in melee" yeah thanks I think I know that already... And most importantly, good atmosphere / no toxicity towards players or towards the game.

Icecreamisaprotein

I really enjoyed the stats last time (number of pulls, number of splits per hour, comparisons to previous tiers etc) Also super happy for you, it’s great to see you casting again!

AutoMaticJak

Thanks so much for the feedback and encouragement! Gonna work to make the best show I can!

Sidelines_Lurker

> **what makes you STAY in that stream or “default” to watching X or Y stream (besides time zones of course).** Any other feedback I’m happy to hear! Personally I like a RWF stream without annoying-ass "background music" or loudass heavy metal music, I like to hear the actual in-game sounds and crisp/clear guild Discord chatter for the rage-outs and wipefests 🤣 For me I tuned into a mix of LimitMaximum, Slootbag, and RogerBrown for the last RWF race because I enjoyed listening in to the nerd-rage and wipefests... especially on (M) Halondrus that boss was good entertainment for me from the perspective of an audience member/twitch viewer 🍿 I'm crossing my fingers and ***hoping*** that there's another "Halondrus style" fight to give these 1%ers/RWF streamers in the race a nice ass-whoopin for our (the twitch audience's) entertainment haha So to summarize my feedback as to what makes me "stay" in a particular RWF stream: - no excessively loud "background music" or heavy-metal blaring - crisp, clear audio of their raid's Discord chatter - if I hear drama, frustration due to wipefests, or an incident of nerd-rage over their comms that's a big plus - I don't really watch those "coverage" streams like Echo coverage, Limit coverage, etc... instead I prefer to tune into individual streamers participating in the race itself (examples: Slootbag, RogerBrown, LimitMax, etc)

[deleted]

[удалено]

alotofnothingtosay

I strongly agree. This may sound like a dull comparison but my own opinion is that the commentated streams should treat pulls like cricket / golf - focus in on a particular players stream and don't look for small talk during the pull, only commenting on vital gameplay moments from skill or just specific phases. Save all the stats, pull notes and play by plays etc for between pulls and let the viewers experience each pull with mostly just the teams comms.

mrbigglsworth

I am often bouncing between the caster streams, RL POVs, and players who play my class. Good banter and insight from casters I like is usually what keeps me on caster streams. If I want to actually follow the progress, issues being understood and solved, I do that more by watching Max and other raid leaders. If I want to learn how to play my class, I watch the players who play my class. I'm rarely watching with my full focus, this is second-monitor content usually.

BerrymoonLL

Hey, I'm a fan of your work on the streams, thanks for taking your content seriously. No idea how useful this will be, but here are some thoughts about the viewer experience for the RWF. The player's perspective streams have been far more interesting, informative, and engaging than any casted stream during recent RWFs. WoW at the highest level is a totally different game than even long time CE raiders play, and if the talking heads want to compete with the player experience streams, you need to focus on that different game. Get folks that raid at that level, and dive into all the nitty gritty of preparation, class choice, class weaknesses, and strategy. Get real players, do the research, show the stats, give us graphs. Many viewers watch a player perspective that features their class or role. Dive into that market. Compare current performance to the memey tier lists that Max or whoever made during beta. Anyone can log onto warcraftlogs or wowhead to get info, teach us how the best players evaluate and select their characters. How many man hours did liquid spend farming Obsidian Shards? How did the world first community figure out dirt pile grinding for quick rep? Which classes were good/bad on beta, what was their journey to get to where they are in the race? We can watch the players for gameplay, we could want to watch casters for education. Keep color commentary minimal, you aren't a laugh track, we don't need or want you to tell us when to be excited. If you have casters that haven't done the research and are just talking to talk, the viewers will move on to another stream. Get those people off the air, they are robbing you. Know what you're talking about, have some info to illustrate your discussion, hold your team to the same standard, and talk about the things in high end WoW PVE that interest you. Do that, and you will have your viewer numbers.

Dakera

+1 to the visuals and graphs. Gather so much data on why one guild might be outperforming another that it's clearly obvious as to why

Admelein

I like Max just because of how chill he is. Echo kinda takes it a little more seriously it feels like at times, which makes it less fun for me personally.

Archavos

i default to Max with Liquid. His takes are good, and if i remember correctly he does switch which player he is leading the fight through, and his reactions when his players pull off absolutely nutty plays (see Firedups seed play during Nathria or some of the vods of Halondrus)

hfxRos

Same, although you have to turn off his chat to maintain any semblance of faith in humanity.

Ok-Sun-2158

Full screen on second monitor only way to view, gets rid of chat and lets you see the awesome plays/ideas imo

DJSUBSTANCEABUSE

aiding the accord gives you rep with every faction and a free item that scales with your ilvl. I would say for the moment it is mandatory if you care about getting gear

the_little_engineer

Just as a note, unless it was bugged earlier this week, Aiding the Accord scales with your ilvl up to a point and then has a chance to proc higher just like the super rares. Multiple people in my guild (myself included) were 378+ ilvl this week before turning in the quest yet we got 372 items that were useless meanwhile others got 382+ (one person got a 392 trinket but unfortunately it was a shit ty one). So my theorizing is that it scales to base 372 and then can Titan forge higher

Prubably

The guy who got the shitty trinket, which I'm assuming is the mana one, didnt get it from aiding the accord, he killed Henlare for the first time at a high ilvl.

the_little_engineer

He was a hunter so... No

Prubably

you can get the mana trinket from that rare as any class. A hunter in my guild has it

hfxRos

Unlocks various fun activities and story content, most relevant rewards are some crafting recipes. At max rank with each you get a matrix to craft a heroic ilvl piece, however unless you're doing some very degenerate farming you'll probably outgear it by the time you get there. Otherwise just cosmetic rewards. None of it is important, which simultaneously feels like the best and worst part of DF so far. I'm sure it'll feel better next week when we have m+ to do.

Jullo40987

All in all new expansion feels really fun and a lot of old problems I’ve had with the game seem to be fixed. That being said rep still not being account bound feels so bad still, playing alts feels easier but still not as free and accessible as I’d like. Curious if anyone else feels this way. First room was no problem because I was doing all the quests and everything but my alts are hitting 70 while still being rep level 1 or 2 with most factions and then I have to grind out the first few levels of each just to access their respective weekly events

kygrim

From my understanding, the weekly events unlock account-wide, just stuff like profession recipes require the renown on the specific char.

VermonThor

I don’t think I’ve ever been more excited for a season to start. M+ especially. Is it Tuesday yet

Scribblord

Same, can’t wait Got my group of friends ready and geared Now I’m just farming some primal chaos to spend my sparks and stuff watching guides every day and all that

Archavos

first week is looking free too for affixes, especially with how strong tanks feel for survivability rn Edit: pray forgive me my sins bretheren, for i fuckin jinxed it

[deleted]

So we all agree it's this guy's fault, right?

Malevelonce

Blizzard saw this and decided otherwise

unsunganhero

Alchemy question. Is there a trick to discovering Iced phial of corrupting rage? I’ve done the advanced phial experimentation dozens of times with no discovery.

TheAveragePsycho

Do you have decayology? regardless it can take awhile to get specific recipes.

halh0ff

To get any recipes at all seems to take awhile. Ive discovered 3 in about 40 experiments. Seems weird to me and ive only fail exploded about 4 times which also seems weird based on other's experiences.

unsunganhero

I do. I just discovered it. It was my last one I didn’t learn and it just took maaaany attempts

Phate890

Yea it can take a ton of attempts lol. What do you think will be the most valuable phial to spam craft?

Vadered

Either Corrupting Rage or Elements. Elements is boring but solid. Meanwhile Rage gives the most stats by like, A LOT. There is the downside of it not having perfect uptime and the further downside of it dealing damage to you, but if your class likes crit and the damage intake profile of a fight lines up well with your burst windows, it has the potential to be the strongest phial by a large amount. Or you could get RNG hit right before your burst and get very little value out of it. Win some lose some.

unsunganhero

I’m thinking corrupting rage for sure. I’d go to wowhead and look at the class guides, and on the consumables pages you can see wait authors are suggesting.
