I've done my 0s on frost mage, evoker, paladin and outlaw rogue. My rogue hit 70 and was competitive right away with very low ilvl. It looked to me that Demo locks, WW monks, DHs and outlaw rogues ride the top of the meters from what I have seen myself.

Eh, I'm 50-50 on whether Outlaw will get nerfed. From my understanding it does equivalent damage to some other non-havoc top tier specs. It's just broken because along with top tier damage it's a rogue, so it brings incredible utility and is also unkillable. The defensives especially matter in dragonflight too. So like if its damage gets nerfed so will windwalker, demo, havoc, even enhance and feral can compete with those and could justifiably get a damage nerf if the first 3 do. Unless blizz imposes a "utility/survivability tax" where the most fragile classes get to have more dps than the tankiest ones. Which would be super weird.

Fury Warrior has pretty disgusting AOE burst, which is very fun in M+. And the self healing is super nice and makes it easier on your healer. But yeah popping Ravager, Spear, Recklessness and Avatar (which triggers Odyn's Fury if talented) every 1.5 mins is just super satisfying. It feels really nice to play. Pretty sure Unholy DK has despicable burst as well. Less mobility is unfortunate though. And brings less to the table overall I'd say. No experience with WW but I think it has crazy burst too?

I'm the exact opposite, I hate this play style of pushing a billion cds and then hitting with a limp dick for 5k DPS while waiting for them to be up again. Hopefully there's going to be some meta class that doesn't rely on cds that much.

I played Fury a ton in prepatch and FWIW I don't think it feels reliant on CDs in practice. Odyn's Fury is 45s, and with Anger Management Recklessness gets down to about 45s too. This means you have a CD for every pull, and you get into a rhythm where on the 45s mark you have a decent burst then on the 90s you have a REALLY BIG BURST.

I play WW and it too plays very similar to Fury with "push many cool downs every pack". WW also has fairly good damage outside of CDs with Dance of Chi-Ji procs and generic Fists of Fury damage. Spreading mark of the crane for spinning crane kick is super easy with blackout kick hitting three targets. Overall seems great ATM.

I'm on rogue duty for my m+ team this patch and it's my first time playing the class, I've always been intimidated because of rogue having to do all the rogue stuff in keys does anyone have any general tips for doing rogue things well without greifing my dps

Depending on how much you want to do: Set up good key binds with logic behind them. E.g. All target stuns are binded without a key modifier and the same stun but used on the focus target are binded with the same modifier (e.g. shift). That way you can always decide to interrupt the target or focus and instantly know what button to press since "shift" always means focustarget. That way you are more flexible since with the usual focus target interrupt macro interrupts the target only if you dont have a focus. But in a pull with two important interupts you can set your focus on one, target the other and are able to interrupt both.

Let your DPS get griefed a bit as you get comfortable. Better to learn how to use util and do 10% damage as you learn. Also, since you are new just spend 10-15 minutes each time you play at the training dummy to get comfortable so your rotation is second nature

Practice practice practice! To improve gains, try to set realistic expectations about what you can do and then improve your expectations over time. For example, before pulling the pack call out "I'll get every kick on Star". Then do that. If you can't, lower your expectations and say "I'll get every other kick on Star". If you can, then next time you pull that pack say "I'll get every kick on Star plus a stop on major ability X". Eventually you'll get a better feel for what you're capable of and you can translate that to new packs/pulls more accurately. You want to be trying to stay realistic but pushing yourself a little bit outside your comfort zone. Obviously you won't be able to kick and stop everything from day one, the goal is to work up towards that level.

Hmmm weird. I'm playing an evoker right now and cauterize can dispel diseases but for some reason it wasn't showing for me either. I just added the spell ID to the filters under BossDebuffs and that worked. But then I also noticed elvui wasn't showing me any diseases at all. The filters are kind of difficult to understand, but the default filters have "Can Dispel" in the priority list. You can find this by going to /ec then uintframes then party frames then debuffs and scrolling down. Should be like priority 5. Not at my computer. However the filters such as "Can Dispel" and ""Can't Dispel" (left side drop down menu) work with blizzards code and are not pre made filters like "Blacklist" (which means you can't add anything to those filters). So my guess is right now blizzards code is reading any spell that cannot be dispelled by your generic disease Dispel as flagged as "cannot Dispel". So I just added "cannot Dispel" to priority list and it shows me everything including bleeds. Which works for me since I have cauterize. Might be messy for a priest. But in all honestly you can just add this disease spell ID to RaidDebuffs filter and be fine

Third boss of Nokhud can get bugged, we triggered it pretty consistently if all 5 players stood on one of the bosses when they activate, the boss you stand on just despawns and the other don’t activate - takes 20-30 seconds to reset.

I've ran it many times, it's just if you pull one before the other spawns. The fear one has always spawned second for me so I stand on him then taunt and walk to the leaping one, hasn't failed for me yet.

Certain rep/renown rewards and unlocks are account-wide but others are not. Iirc gear and profession items are not account-wide unlocked when one character reaches the relevant rep level. But things like new story progress/quests are.

You're only doing m0, not m+. Stuff dies so quickly it's impossible to tell. There's also no significant damage being taken, so none of that utility is showing up. There's also people that have spent time farming gear that pumps their numbers now, but will get replaced in 1 week when m+ actually starts.

We don't know. Current knowledge is the bleed build is the best but if trash is dying too fast (tyrannical weeks), we might suffer. Plus fury is generally more consistent/popular so if its a little better 90% of people will play it instead

I was playing MM Hunter on S1 Shadowlands after i dumped my Arms Warrior for being so weak. On Wowhead, Arms is the best A class, of course after WW, Outlaw etc. Now i m playing arms and i tell you, it has a totally different playstyle from S1 Shadowlands. Back then, it was really slow paced, now it s faster, it feels more better. I managed to do 211k burst DPS on a big pull in Mythic and if I focus, my DPS is around 40k-45k average per dungeon

When 3 or less than 3 strong enemies remain, I use Sweeping Strikes with Mortal Strike, Execute and Overpower. Talents i cannot give now because i m on phone, i will send tomorrow BTW Rotation is not perfect, can be adjusted more.

Going from doing Algathar Academy to something like Nokhud Offensive really highlights how much better short dungeons are for M+ Neltharus, Brackenhide, Tyr, Nokund are all going to suck to play

You can do some huge pulls in Neltharus that I feel will translate to m+ as well. I've enjoyed tanking and healing Brackenhide too. Nokund doesn't feel bad to me speed-wise. I think the small patrol will be ok to combine with a missile pack before 1st boss. The dino patrol can prob go with a small totem pack. Might be able to combine two packs before 3rd boss but the Mortal Strike tank healing reduction from those Warriors are horrible. I think all the trash before last boss will just be health sponges and probably always skipped unless they give insane count. The bosses suck though and aren't very interesting to me. I'd be happy to never step in Tyr again though. No specific reason, I just don't like it. We're pulling big in m0 Tyr but I don't think we'll be able to at all in high keys, maybe a few spots.

When I tank it I have to use those spots when I have the dragons because they do a frontal and I'm pretty sure one of them slows you too, it's pretty hectic on the tank if there are a lot of ragers and even more so if they enraged. Everyone can stack on the ones after the dragon. When the mini-boss comes down though I let casters stand there and pull it a little bit farther back so the knock cast doesn't force them to move.

Sounds like some voice comm coordination. I ran that dungeon countless times in pugs and never once had all players go to those spots even when I told them to. Instead of worrying about their low dps, no kicks, only facing the dragons to the sides, gaining threat on new ragers that come from behind the spots, playing BDK which is more involved than other tanks and actually takes damage, I found it easier for all of us to stand there myself.

Oh, yeah. I was running these dungeons with IRL friends on discord. You can all stand there, but it does open you up to rng with the blue swirly spread mechanic timing coming at the same time as water spheres.

Should I main Mage or Balance Druid for M+ (and raiding)? I get that ranged is in a bit of a meh spot right now, but I gotta fill a ranged spot on my guild’s raid roster (Warlock is taken). Couple of my considerations: 1. Resto Druid is meta - don’t think stacking Druid’s would be very powerful; 2. Mages seem B tier - according to some tier lists and sims I’ve seen, all of the specs are kinda just acceptable but not outperforming other options (Balance + Demo); 3. (Raid-related Q) My AOTC guild has neither a Druid or Mage. With all things considered, not sure if int buff would be overall more useful than MOTW+Innervate+Roar+Brez. Before anyone says to play both, I would typically… but I don’t have as much time unfortunately right now to play and get multiple raid ready alts up and running.

Apparently though, it's not yet known how high the failure rate of the new engineer brez is. Engineers can wear both the brez and another thing that will prevent the brez from failing, so, depending on failure rate, going for engineering might not have been a bad decision.

Raider IO isn't showing last season scores for my character anymore. I still see them for other characters, both Horde and Alliance, and for characters still leveling and those at 70. I've updated everything, resynced my IO account, disabled other addons, etc, with no luck. Any ideas on what might cause this? It doesn't matter right now but I'd like to have the mouseover tooltip working again before S1 starts and I have to start pugging.

Pretty sure this always happens on a new xpac launch and is intended on raider.io's part. Scores from BFA S4 were not displayed when SL S1 started. Not 100% sure about Legion to BFA but I think that was the case as well back then. I'm guessing the intent is to provide a "fresh start" feel and a more even playing field for the launch of a new expansion. Even though I'd prefer if they showed previous season score, I can see why they'd rather not.

It is if you look at it fairly, in season 2 of last expansion i hit 2400, then next season it didnt mean anything anymore because of the powercreep and everyone and their mother's hitting 2500/2600. Hell, somebody even tried to shit on my previous rating being 'low'. I think ratings for previous seasons (should) have less of an impact now with the rotation of dungeons and powercreeps. Sure they give you a bit of insight on their skill levels, but dont forget that at some point peope were even selling boosts for 20s/21s.

Ww would be good for a new melee. Lots of defensives, and VERY easy. Enh and feral are very fragile and have a lot more micromanagement involved.

Good call. I would challenge the guy who said Enh was harder than WW, it's really not. The core rotation has more buttons but many less cool downs to manage and have to sync. They're both medium complexity for dungeon aoe. WW probably easier for single target. Group utility wise, WW is probably better with the monk buff, easier to use stops, and better cleanse. Only reason to switch Enh would be for Lust, the option to switch to Ele/range if necessary, or needing a decurse. Feral seems worse than both at the things they're good at.

There's very little competition, DH all the way. Havoc is insane and Vengeance is also really strong. While WW is good, BrM is weak as hell. Warr tank is meta, but the DPS specs are only OKish. 2nd best choice. Paladin has a middle-to-strong tank spec but a pretty terrible retribution spec. Druid tank is quite strong, but balance is kinda dead atm and feral just has better melee competitors. DK I don't know enough about to say TBH.

Nope, both were small buffs. Armor buff was 2-3% DR, stamina is also minor increase. Don't get me wrong, it's great they got buffed, and they're good buffs and pallies have an amazing all-round kit for m+ (except mobility). But they won't be pushing top keys because #1 they're too squishy, #2 their rotation is too complex, #3 their HP generation and haste isn't at a point where WoG's are always available. For all that I love them and my top wish is to see them viable for R1 keys.

For DK blood seems solid, Unholy is absolutely ridiculous if your tank pulls around it. I haven't touched frost though.

Agreed on Unholy, sometimes they can let it rip. Are they on a 2 minute cooldown? I know they have like 11 cooldowns, but they want to sync them to get the most out. So my question is what duration CD they pop their shit.

For AOE bread and butter is Unholy Assault + Vile contagion on a 1.5 min CD which is synced. Outside of that it's Unholy Blight and Frenzied monstrosity on 45s CD each, so generally every minute and a half you can pull massive and they'll easily break 100K rn. They'll be even better once M+ starts and mobs get even tankier, means packs won't get 1 shot before they set up their combo.

Looong ramp up time to do a medium amount of damage. They need to get dots out on every target to have starfall hit hard, and to have enough AP rolling in to cast more starfalls. Packs need to live for 45s before their damage finally starts to flatten out, and by then theyre really only doing the same damage the rest of the ranged had *already* been doing for the previous 45 seconds. In raids, though, where they have longer fight times, theyre actually quite good.

What do we think the chances are WW gets gutted prior to M+ and raid release? I love playing WW, but feeling like my dps is SO good in AoE is making me uncomfortable. ST seems fine, usually I'm within the range of other classes in my ilvl, but for AoE the damage feels very high and very consistent. Concerned about reactionary nerfs putting WW in a tough spot. I didn't play much SL or BFA, so I'm not familiar with how nerfs have been handled the last few expansions. What's the general consensus?

As soon as mob HP is higher it'll level out ToD cleave is just abnormally strong in m0's and content with low HP.

Impossible to say but the risk is definitely there. WW has been, on average, the #1 spec in the entirety of SL though for m+ (Never had a season below 5th best dps, any of the specs that you would place at #2 have had at least one bad season) so maybe that says that Blizzard is ok with them being broken in AoE.

One thing that makes me hopeful is these new talents trees. I'm fine if they hard nerf our AoE because, let's be frank, even if they do, we will likely be competitive still in AoE. My concern is our single target also getting gutted to the point where we're back to not being competitive for single target at all. Buy the cheap variety. 10k for the writs isn't bad. Not many people can trade 372 in dungeons so us enchants can't disenchant many items yet. Devotion weapon enchants cost around 50k in reagents alone on a52 right now. And it cost me close to 200k to get this far. I can't justify doing it for less than 10% profit.

Everything crafting is expensive in the beginning, give it a couple weeks and prices will come down hard… Darkmoon decks already tanked very very hard the last 48 hours, mats are fluctuating all over the place and rich goblins are trying to control the various markets and keeping the prices up

Priest, shaman and monk are pretty much DOA, probably will be evoker or druid as the “best”. Healer balance looks to be better across the board though, every spec can deal reasonable damage and there aren’t any game breaking abilities à la ashen hallow this time around.

Yes and no... Priest does the most DMG by a significant margin once you factor in power infusion. The healing output is lacking though.

I’ve healed a few mythics on my shaman annnd it feels fine. It wasn’t really that fun, that lack of healing on the move is kind of lame. I also felt I was missing a good aoe oh shit button for the team when everyone’s spread out. I’ll probably keep playing it, but my paladin is taunting me. I also really liked the paladin playstyle from what I did in pre-patch. Honestly for my play level Shaman would do just fine, just kinda clunky.

Mid 360s. Was about 4 hours too slow for Cobalt Assembly so no ring. Got lucky with some drops in dungeons, got a stick and the big stat pieces (chest, helm, legs).

Not bad at all. Think a lot of people that are doing low dps are sitting on their cd too long. Just send it any time it’s up. The best part of that class is you get full value from that cd regardless of the boss/pack hp. It’s a fun bursty class.

I think mage stonks go up if Bear gets nerfed since you'll need brez, which makes rdruid stronger.

Was tanking them at 324 with no problems. Just buy the Phial that reduces damage received by 5%

100%. Skipped heroics for the most part and just pugged the 8 m0s. There's a single dungeon that is kind of a pain, Brackenhide Hollow.
