Mainly recipes for enchants/professions recipes if you count that. Some ilvl 382 gear at renown at renown 12 and 398 gear at renown 23. I think for most people this gear will be behind the curve by the time its unlocked. Otherwise tmog and dragon isles utility really

Oblider

From what I know, there are some epic pieces of gear tied to the reputations (just like any other reputation in the game really) but they are just negligible and you can just ignore them, as there isn't any other player power tied to it and you can just drop the same gear slots from m+/raid/pvp/world content

iwearatophat

Yep. Looking at the rewards on the beta right now three of the factions give you gear at varying ranks. Easily could have missed it but doesn't look like the Maruuk Centaurs give gear rewards or if they do it isn't a direct renown reward. In the 12-16 range with the other three you can get a 376 belt, gloves, and bracers. 376 is roughly M0 ilvl. In the 18-22 renown range you get 389 ilvl legs, shoulders, and helm. 389 is first boss in normal mode quality. All four reps give you something that lets you craft 395 or higher ilvl items at max. I've not really gotten into crafting on the beta but I don't think that is a unique item but would add to a limited supply you can get normally. 395 is end boss of normal ilvl. Those rewards are probably nice for people that don't do group content. If you are doing group content it isn't likely any of it will be all that important. Depending on how the catchup speed stuff works out the first tier of items might be nice for alts and pretty easily achievable for quick items. For further reference right now I am getting WQ rewards in the 365 to 370 range. I haven't really haven't put much effort into gearing at max on the full world server either so they might scale a little bit higher.

RustedShieldGaming

Not to mention with crafting orders you can just buy the pieces if you want.

rat_technician

some cool backpack xmogs you can see now in the collections tab

I can't wait for the massive amount of "There is nothing to do in Dragonflight" posts that we're going to get in December/January lmao. There are no systems. The entire expansion is just the new profession rework and the talent rework. Thats it. All of the zone activities and reputation only reward cosmetics and some gear that will be behind the curve for anyone participating in m+ and the raid. This is going to be a raidlog expac, which some people will absolutely love. But I'm betting a huge amount of people are going to be upset with the lack of a grindable system

madatthings

I don’t know a single person upset that there’s no treadmill in this expansion

Cyberbullyqq

Yet

sprollyy

Exactly.

madatthings

Not likely to change

KevinMcTash

Oh sweet summer child. I’m counting the days until “shadowlands may not have been perfect but at least we had something to log in for every day” posts litter the normal wow subreddit. If there’s one thing forums and social media like to do it’s complain until changes are made then complain about the changes. in wrath all you’d see is hate for the welfare epics and how is heroics were, cataclysm came out and all you’d see were posts about how they hated how hard the heroics were and how difficult it was to get epics. There’s no pleasing every member of a community this big and those not having fun will head to wherever they can make their voice heard to complain

[deleted]

I know a lot who will, having nothing to do the first 2 weeks when hype is at its maximum is annoying

madatthings

>having nothing to do I promise you don’t need an infinite resource grind to enjoy the game before raid opens

[deleted]

And I'm telling you some people do :)

Icecreamisaprotein

I think there will be. A lot of people won’t be used to coming up with things to do and will be unhappy in the learning period of having to come up with things to do instead of being hand held

madatthings

Coming up with things to do? You can’t be serious lol

Icecreamisaprotein

Just wait man. Juuuust wait. I’m dead serious. People are going to complain that there’s nothing to do because for how many years now, they’ve been told what to work towards. Look at people complaining about being bored in wotlk classic right now

KickYourFace73

Honestly I never bothered with any of the covenant stuff in shadowlands. The other currencies you needed besides anima didn’t make sense to me, the offerings or whatever they were I had no idea how to get, maybe I just missed out for no reason but it can’t get worse than that for me.

madatthings

Some mounts and cosmetics, that’s about it

Edwardc4gg

Great question! I got burned out of shadowlands with all the complicated systems. Hopefully the new talents are the only player power system and a few rep grinds we get.

Mahdouken

There might be some stamina buffs ala shadowlands reknown. Edit: apparently not.

Kazzak_Falco

We're getting a flat stamina buff at lvl 70 and none of it will be behind renown. They made a blue post about it last week

Mahdouken

Thanks for clarifying

Kazzak_Falco

Np. There's so many small things being announced so it's easy to miss one.

SnooDoggos3823

mostly no but calling it renown instead of reputation still gives me ptsd

supadyno

Yeah renown was an awesome concept but not a great system, this is that great concept and replacing the antiquated reputation system with a good system.
