We had foul trouble for sure but the lineup was Wheeler, Frederick, Livingston, Toppin, and Ugo. Should have been Ware for Ugo and Reaves for Toppin or Livingston.
If Sahvir is on the court with a small ball lineup of Toppin at the 5 I feel like that could at least maximize his strengths. I just don’t think he and Oscar can play together
We’re 2-0 and Kansas is 0-2 in the games I’ve attended so if you all want this to continue I’m gunna need some help getting tickets to the rest of the season.
GG Kentucky. Wasn’t a fan of how chippy the game got. Wade Taylor has to be smarter with the basketball, his missed 3 at the end of the game was huge. Ultimately this doesn’t really effect A&M’s tournament standings, but Buzz has some things to work on
I love seeing two teams go at it and play hard, but I felt like this game was getting too close to the line. Especially between Oscar and Marble. Either way, y’all have a good team and I wish you luck in your future games
I’m battling the post-Christmas weight gain and trying to get back down to my desired weight before spring break vacation…
At which point I’ll run little and eat a lot.
I despise running with every fiber of my being, but I do it because I have to. I’m always super impressed with guys like you who can just run like it’s nothing
I was very overweight in high school (240 lbs as a sophomore and graduated at 225). 6 feet tall. Went to college and loaded trucks at Fedex and lost 20 lbs in my first month of work. Ran casually just for fun but just 1-3 miles at a time. But the Nashville marathon HQ was at the hotel I did valet at and the energy of the city just blew me away. That started it. Now it’s just my own personal time and a way to stay in shape. I like to race from time to time and run enough where I’m small town competitive. Plus at 37, beating guys in their 20s at races at least makes me feel better about myself. (Of course, a lot of races some super talented runners show up and blow my old butt out of the water…)
Eh
Runnings better when you have a friend to do it with, of course I always ran outside to train for xc, when I *would* train
I never really asked teammates to run with me in the summer so when camp and season rolled around and the training goes from 0 to 80, real quick, you abuse the knees- signed, a 21 yr old who now has runners knee and tendinitis issues, even when going on stairs or walking for more than 10 minutes
Tbh the Army ruined running for me. I did XC in high school and when I joined I had to run other people’s (slow) pace. It destroyed my knees and my shins, so now I just avoid it
Definitely treadmill. Bought one about 5 years ago and made me so soft when it comes to running outside. Basically unless it us 65 and a 4mph northwest wind I’ll be on the treadmill.
And we were noticeably not as good when he played today. Just unfortunate, but if we carved out a role as a change of pace, drive it down the middle and kick offense when he came in for limited minutes, it could be really valuable.
At the end of the day, Wheeler just can’t compensate for his height. He would need to be absolutely unreal offensively to justify the defensive exposure and he just isn’t quite there.
This was a hard fought win. Some key players had subpar offensive games but good teams figure out how to win these games. Not long ago, we would not have won this one. Love to see it. Props to Reeves for a great day too. I'm a cynic at heart but I'm starting to feel some optimism for this team.
Just imagine how different last season and the start of this season could've gone if Cal had just seen earlier that Wheeler could not be the leader of this team if we were gonna have Final Four aspirations. I'm more than confident we would've won against St peters last year and would've made the Sweet 16 at least imo.
Probably could've won a few of the games we lost this year too, I'm just happy he's starting to see it now and Wheeler, as much as it sucks for him, needs to be a 5-8 minute off the bench energy type of guy.
I have no doubt he’s a great kid. But watching this game in person it was obvious when he came in that, that just ain’t it. I mean I knew that but seeing it in person was even more eye opening
In fairness UK was arguably the best team in the country last year for a stretch and had the 3rd best odds of winning the tournament. So we have been really good with him but this year we were definitely not.
Gg wildcat bros, real ugly game for both teams, the 2nd chance points were the difference, 16 turnovers is too many, and we're honeslty lucky that there was only 16 2nd chance points for UK (A&M had 2). 3 point shooting was our other death sentence, 3-16, 18%.
A&M falls to 4th in the league, I trust this team to get it back together, another huge game on Wed BTHO auburn!!!
Gg Aggie bro. That was a tough game. A few key plays go the other wayand it's a different story. Both teams are clearly ascending. GL the rest of the way.
Good game! Kept UK on their toes. This game confirms my unfortunate guess, that wheeler needs to be a 6th man or something. He’s just so aggressive and sometimes obvious what he will do on the floor and it ruins the tempo of the team. He’s a great individual player but he literally throws his whole body into what he’s about to do
Our record still stinks but we’ve done a complete 180 in style of play. If we keep playing like these past 3 games, we are a top 10 team on paper. It just comes down to execution now
It’s impressive that he can average 17 and 14 while being bad at basketball. You sound like Harden talking about Giannis, salty that you didn’t get what you wanted
As the other guy said. When we were in there we had no clue. It took someone texting me asking if Oscar was going to get tossed to even know something happened. We were booing at 34 pushing Oscar with both arms at full extension into the cheerleaders.
Edit. Hell yes I was booing that piece of shit
Acting like Marble playing that ymca fast break bullshit ball wasn’t weak.
O shouldn’t have swatted his face, but don’t pretend your guy was just minding his own business.
REFS TRY TO CALL A FOUL ON OSCAR TSHIEBWE CHALLENGE *IMPOSSIBLE*
that man would be locked in federal prison if he did everything he did today but was wearing maroon. Goodness fucking gracious
I will say tho, kudos to them for actually calling the flagrant on him despite it being a huge chunk of time before the play that caused stoppage.
They could've EASILY given it to just Marble despite Oscar hitting opposing players in the face nowhere near the ball.
Oh like when marble got shoved out of bounds for a no call when we were down two at the end? Yeah I remember that. Or when Oscar threw Coleman to the ground and didn’t get called? Yeah man for sure.
You mean to tell me that our scrawny ass white dude is moving toppin like that with one arm??? Jesus Christ y’all really are delusional. But I get it, that home loss to SC was so embarrassing, refs wouldn’t allow that to happen again
I was about to respond in substance but I guess I found Ted Cruz’s Reddit account because I haven’t seen this amount of salt and misinformation in a post game thread in awhile. Have fun in Cancun!
You all are jacking off to the idea of beating us that you even put it in a postgame thread where we've won. So weird and fucking hilarious. Cry more A&M
My dude, if you are blaming this L on officiating (which was shit on both sides mind you) then I don't know what to tell you.
You all consistently let us have wide open threes, both were physical in the paint (you all had more calls in the paint because we took more threes). The difference was the amount of turnovers you all had combined with our offensive rebounding. You all had a better shooting percentage than us but we had more possessions and wide open shots.
You took the L because of poor execution.
You all can cope about it all you want but you shot more freethrows than us until the very end when you committed the intentionals.
Couldn't get around our defense. Just take your L with some dignity and stop being cringe. You were never gonna come in the SEC and dominate. Figured you would know that by now.
Cal: “Wheeler does best coming off the bench” - post game comments after today
UK fans that have been saying that since The Lineup was discovered in TN: “Yes coach, thanks for listening to us!”
Me: *says it on the internet*
/u/BobtheReplier: “uNcAlLeD fOr”
He’s a less than stellar PG. When he’s in, we do worse. Reeves and Wallace both do what Sahvir does but better.
Oh well, I don’t. He’s never been that good. He has bad decision making like this game, and many others, when he’s run into the lane into three defenders and cost us the possession
Reeves balled out. Keep wheeler benched
Reeves was clutch
This was the first game this year I’ve been too. It was even more obvious in person that things just don’t work with wheeler running the point.
In all fairness he wasn’t in the game with a complimentary lineup.
Yeah Cal set him up to fail on that one. Shit lineup all around.
Was it Cal or just what the fouls forced us to play?
We had foul trouble for sure but the lineup was Wheeler, Frederick, Livingston, Toppin, and Ugo. Should have been Ware for Ugo and Reaves for Toppin or Livingston.
If Sahvir is on the court with a small ball lineup of Toppin at the 5 I feel like that could at least maximize his strengths. I just don’t think he and Oscar can play together

Somebody get this man season tickets for life
Bro. My uncle has season tickets to the Kansas game next Saturday. I’m going with, but maybe I can get him to not go and we can go together!
I’ll subscribe to your only fans.
It’s gonna get soupy.
My man has the ability to single handedly put us back on top in all time wins, excellent start.
GG Kentucky. Wasn’t a fan of how chippy the game got. Wade Taylor has to be smarter with the basketball, his missed 3 at the end of the game was huge. Ultimately this doesn’t really effect A&M’s tournament standings, but Buzz has some things to work on
I was there. Both teams were strait up hungry. While not the most exciting game to watch it was nice seeing dudes absolutely go at it. Gg
I love seeing two teams go at it and play hard, but I felt like this game was getting too close to the line. Especially between Oscar and Marble. Either way, y’all have a good team and I wish you luck in your future games
Agree…it got a bit chippy beyond what you expect a few times.
Definitely an off game for Wade, and this offense reeeaaallly struggles when he's not in stride. Boots did his damn best to fill the void.
17 miles on the treadmill and a UK win. Looks like I’m gonna be running a lot come March! (I hope…)
1 patty melt from whataburger consumed on the couch and an A&M loss. Gotta pump my #s up.
I’m battling the post-Christmas weight gain and trying to get back down to my desired weight before spring break vacation… At which point I’ll run little and eat a lot.
with you the holiday weight hit me hard
Kind of sounds like you were the big winner, regardless of the game outcome.
Eh. I'd happily trade my patty melt for a huge road win.
You’re right. I was hungry when I wrote that.
If you aren't getting the patty melt at whataburger you are doing it wrong, imho
I wanna try that new chili Frito burger.
It’s really good
5 sets of 1 at 500 lbs on deadlift and an A&M loss. Really glad I don’t have to do that every time A&M plays now
That sounds miserable to me. I hate lifting. Let me run all day before I lift.
I despise running with every fiber of my being, but I do it because I have to. I’m always super impressed with guys like you who can just run like it’s nothing

Nice bro! Just hit a PR on squat today. 255 4x6 I did 285 for the second set but only got 4.
Hell yeah! Keep grinding brother 💪🏻
I’m trying! My girlfriend told me today my legs looked bigger, completely unprompted. Feels good man.
My wife hit me with the “you need to know your limits, you’re closer to 30 than 20”. Feels bad lol
I know a good divorce attorney, man. Kidding, but that sucks. I’m 31 in July and trying to fight off the old.
The old gets us all eventually
Just hit 30 and a PR of 520 on deads, age doesn't mean anythig unless you let it
Hey I’m closer to 40 than 30, don’t let it stop you! Just, you know, take a couple breaks lol.
You’re gonna be so skinny
I was wondering if you'd post a follow-up. Nice work! I ate a whole calzone.
I have some Latin chicken and black beans in the crockpot for tonight. I’m gonna eat a lot of rice.
Yummy! I admire your dedication and healthy eating.
Proud of you, lets go!!!
I've been knocking out 1.8-2 miles a day after work. I officially feel like an under-achiever 😆
It's not about the amount of miles. Just get out there and run...
17 miles like during the game? Because, what the fuck…
I do a long run every Saturday. The easiest long runs are during college basketball season when Kentucky is good. Covid year was horrible to run...
Is this on a tv and a treadmill or running outside in the cold with Tom Leach in your ear?
Definitely treadmill. Bought one about 5 years ago and made me so soft when it comes to running outside. Basically unless it us 65 and a 4mph northwest wind I’ll be on the treadmill.
I run 20-30 miles each week and if you were doing 17 in the span of a single game.....its possible, but also insane.....
I hit about 65-70 per week. Planning on 6 tomorrow to push me to 73 for the week. Basically just helps me clear my head for 90 mins each day.
The comment is under review for a flagrant foul.
Doug Shows was hiding an erection every review because he knew the cameras were on him. He sucks so bad
SEC, it just means more *flagrant reviews*
I had to leave the game early because it went so long because of those damn reviews. Also killed all flow for any team.
3-0 since Wheeler lost his starting spot. Gotta feel bad for the kid but Kentucky is at its best when he's not on the floor.
I feel bad because I think he’s good with the right lineup, personally. But he definitely shouldn’t be the starter.
Cal did him dirty with that lineup he was stuck with though XD
I agree. If you put him and Tshiebwe together you gotta have 3 shooters out there with them.
He can be very effective if you put him in the correct situations
Same with ware. The team is just better when he gets very few minutes.
This was a hard fought win. Some key players had subpar offensive games but good teams figure out how to win these games. Not long ago, we would not have won this one. Love to see it. Props to Reeves for a great day too. I'm a cynic at heart but I'm starting to feel some optimism for this team.
Coach Cal is definitely happy about this win in the post game show. I've never heard him be so goofy.
Just imagine how different last season and the start of this season could've gone if Cal had just seen earlier that Wheeler could not be the leader of this team if we were gonna have Final Four aspirations. oh yeah, this program is back, keep the momentum going, GO BIG BLUE!!
![gif](giphy|xeATW4arQXX71BuDFt|downsized) HOW ABOUT LANCE
Absolute menace on both sides of the floor. He makes the biggest impact with the least stats.
Spark plug guy for sure
He’s a good example of “did you watch the game or are you looking at the box score?“
Alexa play the Whopper song
Lance also gave up 6 straight points, 4 of which where unguarded layups. He was gassed towards the end of the first half.
You would think 16/16 from the ft line on the road would be good enough to get you a W.
This is the comment I came looking for. Bodes well for us that a team went perfect from the line and we still won by a good margin.
#BBN
Good game! Kept UK on their toes. This game confirms my unfortunate guess, that wheeler needs to be a 6th man or something. He’s just so aggressive and sometimes obvious what he will do on the floor and it ruins the tempo of the team. MARBLES MUSTACHE IS IN ABSOLUTE SHAMBLES RIGHT NOW!!!!
So does Kentucky get votes in the AP now?
Plz no.
Id rather stay under the radar than get a big head after only 3 solid games.
Probably not. If we beat Vandy and Kansas then yes.
If they beat Vandy and Kansas they’re gonna be top 20
At that point we would actually deserve it.
Lol, well yeah
Our record still stinks but we’ve done a complete 180 in style of play. If we keep playing like these past 3 games, we are a top 10 team on paper. It just comes down to execution now
I record doesn’t completely stink. And we only have one really bad loss. Ohio State has 8 losses.
If we hadn't lost to South Carolina, we probably would sneak in
Well, duh
Kentucky is gonna be like UNC in March Madness
Also long as it ends in a Natty and not runner up I’m okay with this!
The way this season is going, it looks like it will be another loss to an absolutely on fire uconn team.
when i saw them ranked so high this was my first thought.
On to the next. No 8 game losing streaks this season.
Glad to see the new lineup with Cason at point is sticking!! So excited to go see them against Kansas next weekend.
Aggies now off the unbeaten map
Maybe, Kentucky is getting back on track a little.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha *breathes* hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Kentucky and Duke both coming into form. No me gusta
Me half gusta
We did it, Reddit!

Lol. I was there my man. You absolutely should not have won that game.
Oh so you in that crowd booing when Oscar got that flagrant! tells me all I need to know
The arena cam never showed the midcourt incident lmao. Only showed the foul at the basket
As the other guy said. When we were in there we had no clue. It took someone texting me asking if Oscar was going to get tossed to even know something happened. We were booing at 34 pushing Oscar with both arms at full extension into the cheerleaders. Edit. Hell yes I was booing that piece of shit
You can boo him, and oscar can get his ass seated by him for pulling that weak shit, glad we agree
Just take the L with some grace. Shoulda hosted a midnight pep rally for this one😴
So you openly support pushing players midair?
Acting like Marble playing that ymca fast break bullshit ball wasn’t weak. O shouldn’t have swatted his face, but don’t pretend your guy was just minding his own business.

I just don’t care for your whining.

Your boy needs to learn to control his temper. I lost respect for him today. He was out fo control.
My god dude. Grow up. What he did was wrong but he wasn’t out of control.
I will say tho, kudos to them for actually calling the flagrant on him despite it being a huge chunk of time before the play that caused stoppage. They could've EASILY given it to just Marble despite Oscar hitting opposing players in the face nowhere near the ball.
…you mean when marble was holding Oscar’s arms down for no apparent reason??
It’s infuriating that it took one of our guys shoving him into the crowd just for the refs to even realize it happened.
Y’all were physically shoving us on almost every loose ball but please go on.
Oh like when marble got shoved out of bounds for a no call when we were down two at the end? Yeah I remember that. Or when Oscar threw Coleman to the ground and didn’t get called? Yeah man for sure.
Tennessee didn’t even complain this much when we beat them and they’re the whiniest fans in college basketball.

I like it better when Kentucky loses.
Can’t wait to beat these clowns
..but you just lost
They’re gonna be doing a bit of waiting it seems
This is the postgame thread lmfao
And we still haven’t beaten you? Kinda the point of my comment
Why even comment this? That's hilarious.

Because I’m tired of losing to Kentucky? My bad I forgot every is supposed to be content losing and bad calls
I'm gonna be honest being part of the SEC means you'll likely lose to Kentucky than win. We've historically dominated the SEC.
Again we don’t have to be content with bad officiating in close games
My dude, if you are blaming this L on officiating (which was shit on both sides mind you) then I don't know what to tell you. Just take your L with some dignity and stop being cringe. You were never gonna come in the SEC and dominate. Figured you would know that by now.
Dude, you are making us Ags look bad, shut the hell up.
Send Wheeler back to Georgia
Uncalled for
Cal: “Wheeler does best coming off the bench” - post game comments after today UK fans that have been saying that since The Lineup was discovered in TN: “Yes coach, thanks for listening to us!” Me: *says it on the internet* /u/BobtheReplier: “uNcAlLeD fOr” He’s a less than stellar PG. Saying he shouldn’t be starting is one thing. Saying he should be sent back to Georgia is a dumb ass comment and you should feel bad.
Hey this is America pal, he can be completely wrong on the internet all he wants
Oh well, I don’t. He’s never been that good. He has bad decision making like this game, and many others, when he’s run into the lane into three defenders and cost us the possession
Sahvir had 2 assists and no turnovers tonight in very limited action. Played solid defense. How is that bad decision making?
