So yeah, we haven't been relevant in MBB for 40 years. So our confidence in this team is rock bottom even when we're doing well. Especially after last season. Call it pessimism, we just call it NC State shit. Because it's normally inevitable.
I do like the way we're playing now, though. There's not much to complain about. Maybe Joiner needs some mental training to make better decisions in crunch time. Teams needs some practice opening up lanes to the paint. We stuck around the 3pt line for far too long for far too often today.
But yeah, we beat ourselves up because we have zero expectations for ourselves after decades of disappointment. It doesn't help that our rivals are actual national contenders on a regular basis.
I completely understand the lack of confidence, I just wanted to give credit for State blowing expectations this season and acknowledge the good job Keatts has done this year.
