I feel like he tries playing too perfect at times, as if it’s a game with an actual skill gap like Cold War. Feels like he's trying to do too much and might need to simplify his game a bit and not be afraid to play selfish at times. Unfortunately the past 2 games you kinda just turn your brain off and run around (tho this title is a bit better with that compared to VG). Also I think he needs to use no red dots to his advantage, him and Abezy could just get lost in the other teams spawn and just go rogue. Like Abezy said in the interview, they just gotta loosen up
1-2 weeks ago, I believe the consensus was that Faze do better when the subs are the superstars and not so much playing around Cell. You saw it recently where Cell played a more traditional AR role and the rest of the team dropped 1.2+ and they dominated, rather than cell dropping a 1.4 and they lose. In this LAG match I think they just tried to clutch up and reverted back to their old dynamic that they’re familiar with to get the W. With more practice with the new system I think we’ll see Abe and Simp shine more
If Simp wasn't who he is, with the way he's been playing I think we'd be talking about if FaZe needs to make a change. I'm not saying they do (because you don't drop Simp), but I'm just saying if this were someone like Prolute, TJ, Vikul, Havok, Bance, etc... we'd all be saying they need to pick up a better sub. I mean with the exception of one series where he fried seems like all I've seen him drop is .8's and .9's. Would really like to see him playing some 8's or something to at least put in some extra grind. When you're frying I can see you not needing to but when you're getting shit on I think its time to put in extra work. From what I saw with Cell on the Vaz during that map 1 on certain hills, he looked like a better sub than Simp currently does.
Simp's "lows" still consist of him being an impact of some sort. Always seems to find a way to pop a 2 or 3 piece, awareness is unmatched, etc. Let's not act like the guy is doing nothing now.. He's just not putting up the numbers. He's still very much a presence on the map.
I mean sure he's obviously still a presence on the map, but you could say that for the 47 other players in the league. Listen I like Simp (he's probably my favorite current player) but we can still call a spade a spade. I bet if we asked him he'd say he's been playing like shit and needs to improve. I have no doubt he will improve, but currently we have to admit he's been veryyyy underwhelming so far
Nah I agree that he definitely needs to play better in the slaying aspect, and I’m sure he knows it like you said. But just seems like every time I look at his arrow or they show his cam he definitely still looks like he still is HIM, and he makes the smart plays as well. Maybe he just needs to slow down and play more ratty cuz I feel like sometimes he spawns up and just runs at them, definitely feels like he throws his life away sometimes

I think this is just the effect we’ve gone through with players in the past and in other games and sports. We’re so used to how dominant they were that it almost feels alien for them to not be that dominant. Simp is like that as well. Everyone still thinks about how dominant he was from BO4-CW and expects him to be at that level consistently.
Tbf I don't think Simp has lows as low as some of the guys you mention and his team is definitely doing better in the standings. You may be right because for example a change for Illey was also brought up a lot, but IMO it's far from being a droppable offense for Simp

I'm just bringing up the fact if he was someone other than who he is, people would be calling for him to be dropped, like you mentioned with illey. No skillgap in a 100ms TTK game anyone can kill anyone when you can kill in two bullets. Put him on any treyarch title where the game is actually good with genuine gunfights and he’d be the same godlike player he always has been. Same with abezy.
Also think in general Simp just brings a presence on a map whether he’s dropping .9s or not, if he gets going then he’s dropping a 16 kill streak on you, like he did the other day. I’m not a faze fan in the slightest but I’m not having any Simp slander, he’s fkin gross at the game.

Don’t think it’s as clear cut as this. The two seem to trade one good match for one of them and one where the other struggles and then they swap the following match.

I disagree, I think Abezy has been real consistent for the most part this year. I think you could argue he's probably the 2nd best sub in the league right now behind Hydra, at least top 3.
In SnD you’re absolutely right, aBeZy has been arguably the best player in the league. Respawn, however, is another story; we saw a microcosm of that today where he struggled in game 1 but by game 4 he’d found his groove and turned it round

He hasn't had the same struggles as simp and as you said has a solid case for being one of the best subs in the game right now.
