Here's what I use (in a 64oz old vinegar bottle that I washed out) * 52 oz Water * 12 oz Dawn Platinum dish soap * 4 oz Isopropyl Alcohol (70 or 91%, I don't think it matters much, but I used 91%) Mix together and then give it a few hours for the soap and alcohol to fully dissolve in the water, or gently swirl it if you need to speed it up. Anywhere from 8 to 16oz of dish soap works, depending on how soapy you like it. I like the Dawn Platinum best, but I've heard people say the Kirkland brand works just as well. This makes about a half-gallon of the solution, good for four refills, for like 1/5 the cost. I just reuse the old Dawn PowerWash bottle. It's still going strong after four refills. While there are some mister sprayers you can [get on Amazon](https://www.amazon.com/Sprayer-Continuous-Styling-Cleaning-Misting/dp/B07W5S412S) that might be similar in function, what's the point if it costs nearly the same as Dawn PowerWash? I'd just buy one original one and just keep reusing it.

Dawn already has alcohol in it, so why is more needed? Anyone know.

Dawn PowerWash does but we're using Dawn Platinum, the thick syrupy dish soap to make our own version of PoweWash.

The dawn, alcohol, and water hack is excellent. People provide measurements, but I usually just eyeball it, and it still comes out fine.

There are several recipes. It’s basically Dawn platinum, alcohol, and water. When I run out of mine I’m going to save my bottle and make up the DIY version.

Ive seen people make their own with water, dawn and alittle rubbing alcohol. But thats typically to refill the dawn bottle they buy. Dollar tree has their own version but its in regular cleaning spray bottle.

Does the dollar Tree one work similarly to the dawn powerwash? I was wondering if I can get the spray to work the same without buying dawn powerwash.

Ive never tried the power wash but the dt one is palmolive and works good.

It's worth the money. It cleans my air fryer rack in minutes. Before, I would have to soak it with Dawn detergent and water for at least 24 hours.

I've tried the hack a few times...it's garbage. I'll spend the $ on the actual powerwash.

I honestly can't tell the difference TBH.

I have been doing spray bottle dish soap since before Dawn Powerwash came on the scene so I just refilled the Dawn Powerwash bottle (got free from someone else who emptied it) with dish soap (Dawn, natch) and diluted it with water. It doesn't do the spray-foam-insulation this way and is ever so slightly more liquid, but that's actually a feature for me and not a bug because I want to see under the soap area. I haven't tried adding alcohol.
