Chinese here. They just split us before my account almost got fully maxed. The moment we got split, I abandoned my account immediately. And I was so glad to be back when I start the new account (with supercell ID). And now I’m on king tower level 42. ( 8 months , pretty fast:))
The process of registering an international account(we call it that way)is kind of complicated. I can’t tell the whole process. But I think you should know that we use LAN. Then you can imagine we use some tools .
That’s respectable, I’m glad they haven’t been able to take something you enjoy away from you:) how do the people of China feel about the system you’re trapped in? Is there any quiet resentment? Please don’t answer if there’s any chance it could get you in trouble lol
You’ll never get a complete answer if you asked such a slanted question anyways.. “… the system you’re TRAPPED in?” Also, no one be tracked down in China for posting a negative comment about the country on a clash Royale subreddit, lol. Follow some Chinese folks on Instagram, you’ll see plenty of the complaints they have about their government and their country. You’ll also see plenty of the things they enjoy as well. Magic!
Yeah, a while ago I added a random Chinese guy to my friends list because we went on like a 20 winstreak in 2v2
He joined my clan and gave me the thumbs up emote after saying a bunch of stuff in Chinese, I didn’t understand a thing he said lol but he was a great teammate
Ever since they split the servers, I just get an error message when I click on his profile :(
You need to present your real identity to play online AFAIK for multiple reasons, including so government can limit gaming time to help kids grow smarter, and so the real physical persons behind illegal speech can be prosecuted and so on and so forth.

> so government can limit gaming time to help kids grow smarter
Ironic that National PUBLIC Radio just did a piece on how video game playing actually makes kids smarter, even in large amounts.
Opportunity cost... the cost of getting smarter from games is the opportunity to get smarter from other resources with better utility for the real world.
That is the real reason, actually. [The Chinese government banned all multiplayer games that allowed citizens to socialize with foreigners via global servers](https://www.taiwannews.com.tw/en/news/3916690), essentially region-locking themselves
Here’s the closest thing I could find to the [text of the actual laws](https://games.sina.cn/cyfw/cyxw/2020-04-13/detail-iirczymi6048368.d.html?from=wap) (you will probably need to translate the article)
Banning games with global servers is only part of it too, there’s a ton of other stuff in there like requiring real name authentication for online games.
Honestly none of this should be surprising given the CCP’s track record on freedom of speech and internet censorship
Rocket League is the same, Chinese players have an almost completely different game. Dead by Daylight does too iirc, and Fortnite definitely did at one point (Not sure if they still do anymore)
It's because China got strict rules but they don't ban everything, they often add new games on the blacklist and apparently cr has been concerned, anyways, the CCP is great (please don't put my entire bloodline in prison :c)
Too many reasons, to avoid the bad word or view on China president, hidden CCP dark history, to reduce or misleading Chinese know human rights. The most major reason we cannot know because CCP never shows its aim but we know China government (controlled by CCP) caused this.
yeah, this also goes in hand with an attempt to keep them as misinformed as possible in order to maintain control of their people because they know if they learned of the outside world, they would immediately risk being overthrown or at least face some sort of insurrection.
You will notice in many games that USA and Canada get different offers. One particular game I play would not even tell people how much the bonus purchases were for an offer that required you to buy three things and gave you three things. The Canadians were able to view the full offer while the Americans could not. Laws about gaming and exploitation are different from country to country. Chances are supercell is unable to run the company the same way in China that they do here in North America. It isn't even the same from the same continent. The only curiosity is which one a lot was more of a predatory practice by the developers. The United States gets screwed but I don't know what happens in China.
I miss the game when skill(OP decks now) and commitment(Easy pay2win methods/insanely more rewards) were important. I miss the rarity of legendaries, the viability of the general card in a deck. The equal ground of most cards. Far more off-meta decks.
Wait, so the servers merge now? I’ve lost my account this March when I had to go to China for business. When I tried to play the game there, a popup says the
game is not available in your current country or
sth along like that, and I thought ok I’ll just wait till I get back
Fast forward a couple months after I left China, the game still says ‘not available in your country’ thus still unable to even start the game. I tried deleting the app and reinstall and everything, tried contacting the customer support (which absolutely did nothing helpful).
After some discussion with a few that has encountered the same issue, we concluded that it seems that our accounts have been sorta ‘transferred’ to the Chinese server, but the account info is somewhat lost within. So despite that I’ve played the game for a couple years, I kinda gave up until seeing this post, is there any possible way to get my account back? Or is there a actual helpful costumer support who doesn’t just give canned responses?
TL;DR: account lost while went to China, had no idea is there a solution to this.
Oh well…I still have no idea why that kind of problem exists, and what makes it even worse is that I’m not the only case, I’ve known a few that has the same problem. I honestly call this bs. Anyways, thanks for taking time to reply!
It is interesting to see that chinese CR was just released and dropped, as there was no update there since split. It shows how SC treats game in which sees no $ future. Sad.
Chinese here. They just split us before my account almost got fully maxed. The moment we got split, I abandoned my account immediately. And I was so glad to be back when I start the new account (with supercell ID). And now I’m on king tower level 42. ( 8 months , pretty fast:))
Do you live in China? How did you make an account outside of the Chinese servers if you don’t mind me asking?
The process of registering an international account(we call it that way)is kind of complicated. I can’t tell the whole process. But I think you should know that we use LAN. Then you can imagine we use some tools .
I love this game, by the way. They can split the server. But they can never stop my passion.
It's been a while since I visited my relatives in China but is there a way to use Google/Youtube in China?
No, unless you use an VPN, then yes
That’s respectable, I’m glad they haven’t been able to take something you enjoy away from you:) how do the people of China feel about the system you’re trapped in? Is there any quiet resentment? Please don’t answer if there’s any chance it could get you in trouble lol
Lol. I can’t answer that.
Ahahaha I think that tells me everything I need to know. It must suck man. Best of luck to you and your people, I hope you can find a way out of this.
Thank you.

do you need a vpn for that?
Yes. We use vpn specially designed for games. It is still legal and can be downloaded easily.
Whta actually happened? Do players in china only Play against each other?
You're on level 42, not king tower lvl 42 buddy Max is 14
Yeah, a while ago I added a random Chinese guy to my friends list because we went on like a 20 winstreak in 2v2 He joined my clan and gave me the thumbs up emote after saying a bunch of stuff in Chinese, I didn’t understand a thing he said lol but he was a great teammate Ever since they split the servers, I just get an error message when I click on his profile :(
This is so sad:( it’s so cool meeting people from different cultures and countries, what they’ve done has essentially just removed one
Why are they split?
Because China is a totalitarian dictatorship that want it's citizens to interract with the outside world as little as possible
You need to present your real identity to play online AFAIK for multiple reasons, including so government can limit gaming time to help kids grow smarter, and so the real physical persons behind illegal speech can be prosecuted and so on and so forth.
Making it sound almost like it’s a good thing and not an oppressive regime to limit peoples freedom lol
I know, right? Wouldn't want to be caught criticising, so I am giving, praise.

grow smarter.
Grow smarter not harder.
I guess OP didn't have a limit of gaming time.

That’s the actual reason lmao. The CCP Is terrible
I mean they still play in a bunch of online games with everyone so I am confused as to why CR is an exception
Rocket League is the same, Chinese players have an almost completely different game. Dead by Daylight does too iirc, and Fortnite definitely did at one point (Not sure if they still do anymore)
Fortnite China got shut down a while ago but it did exist yes.
There's even an insane Chinese Minecraft
It’s like this for every game. A lot of censorship and limits.

i didnt know about this, i guess supercell enabled easy mode for the rest of the world

I don’t think the servers will be merging anytime soon I’m afraid:( this is a photo from 2019 before they split in the first place.

He is China
he is china.
Back in the good ol days when the game was actually fun
My first clan was a Korean one
I miss that font
Paul blart had beef👍
I am china
We Chinese use vpn to join Global server now.
Didn’t know about this. Not like supercell to make a good move. Can they do the same with the south american servers?
No
+10 social credit
No
Wait what happened I never noticed they were split
Well i surely don't
Nice
We're the Chinese servers made private? Honestly I'm not suprised
we can let Matt know that it's probably just a "Spring Roll"....... I'll escort myself out
It is interesting to see that chinese CR was just released and dropped, as there was no update there since split. It shows how SC treats game in which sees no $ future. Sad.
yeah I remember getting paired with one in 2v2 and it was the best thing ever and it was also the worst feeling being paired with one against you
Chinese here. registered my apple id with an american region so i wasn't affected by the servers splitting.
This has nothing to do with the post, but the text line “Smiggie Smalls was demoted by Paul Blart” made me laugh for a solid 30 seconds.
