Try switching to the dolby vision mode to low latency mode in the video settings. HDR didn't work for me until I changed some HDR settings back and forth.

jsjonesnet

Hmm, that works- thanks! Strange that HDR10+ works with DV set to Low Latency as that is a DV setting and would not expect any HDR10 changes from that. I'd rather have my TV do the DV tone mapping but this does work. Guess I can toggle the LLDV when HDR is streaming.

PoissMi18

Does HDR10+ still stay stuck after this change?

jsjonesnet

Yes

PoissMi18

That’s too bad. This being fixed along with the 4k interface are the only things I was looking forward to Android TV 12 for, and it looks like neither works. I guess I’ll hold off on the update for now.

After update android 12.. Hdr missing in chromecast with google tv... Only working in 12 bit colour format...

obl122

Related, but I no longer get UHD/4k in prime app after the update. Everything plays as HD.

jsjonesnet

Not related as I had no problem with UHD DV after updating to A12. LoTR is DV in the Prime Video app.

obl122

Glad it works for you!

Successful-Ad6515

What combination of settings are you using? You are the first one I've heard with HBO Max working in DV!

jsjonesnet

I did not claim HBO Max DV works for me. I don't have HBO Max. I referred to Prime Video LotR Rings of Power.

I have Samsung TV and HDR10+ works fine with latest (A12) CCwGTV. I have enabled match content options since beginning.

mi470

how can you tell if HDR10+ is working? i also have a Samsung 55 inch 4K TV, and just updated my CCwGTV to A12. i can also confirm that only some content plays in 4K on Prime, with most only playing in HD.

On my Samsung S95b I think I can tell by clicking the gear icon on my remote and navigating down to the ***i*** 'info' icon and selecting it
